Thompson was a joke and Giuliani was more liberal than McCain and it seemed many conservatives were ready and willing to hold their noses for his election....he screwed up by not trying to compete in NH and SC.

My kids so far have decided to vote for either Dem if our nominee is McCain.

Their reason does make some sense but I am not convinced. The probability is that we will have a dem Congress. They feel that both of them would alienate the Repubs enough to put the brakes on their agenda and not let them go too far astray.

Keith claimed Rush Limbaugh was the one who took the quote out of context. He said Limbaugh LED the stampede of people to do so. Both are lies. Nice try but no he didn't. First of all that's an old Olbermann trick. Like when he claimed throughout one show that Ann Coulter called Eisenhower a confederate general, based on his OWN doctoring of a clip. When he finally got to WPitW he admitted well maybe that's not what she said. So she could smear her repeatedly throughout the hour, and only those who stuck around would realize he was lying.

And in this case he didn't "right himself" because he continued to blame Rush for a misquote that wasn't Rush's misquote. It was Jake Tapper and ABC's misquote. And Olby NEVER even mentioned them, and they were the ones responsible for it!

Oh, would you like to bet on whether anyone on MSNBC also relayed Tapper's misquote? Do you think Olbermann pointed any fingers at them? He always protects his corporate masters.

Wonder how many different IP addresses the Olbyloon used to post the above? Our reading of Savage's material leads us to believe that Savage would like nothing better than to see CAIR in court, in front of a jury. Somehow we doubt that Savage would be happy with anything less than the total demands he is making. CAIR is in a bind; if it pays Savage to settle, it loses. If this goes to the jury, it will lose as well.

Savage's attorney, Daniel Horowitz, has a "bull dog" reputation; would he have taken Savage's case if he thought he couldn't win? Horowitz can afford to pick and choose his cases, he obviously believes in Savage or he could have easily turned this case down.

I take the statement about no links to the DOS attack thread to be one tinged with regret as much as anything else.

If you've the sort of personality bent towards making dramatic and intimidating (hopefully) control gestures, the bigger the stir you make, the more ego gratification.
