Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    February 27, 2008
Countdown with Keith Olbermann - February 27, 2008

"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)

    Host: Keith Olbermann

    Topics/Guests:

    • HILLARY DOWN, OBAMA UP: Dana Milbank, Eugene Robinson
    • OBAMA'S CASH: David "Slippery" Shuster
    • OBAMA'S BRILLIANT, McCAIN IS STUPID: Margaret Carlson

Keith Oralmann barked the opening spiel: Super delegates switching to Obama! Obama is "unflappable"! Obama's advantages! Slam on McCain! CunninghamGate! ClemensGate! But that's chump change. Wait until you get to Bathtub Boy actually uttering a criticism of Barack Obama--you won't believe why. It's hump day at Olbermann Watch.

    Bathtub Boy

#5: Clinton worried about Super delegates (Blue Blog Source: HuffPo). Every defection is "symbolic" (what, not a "metaphor"?) Debate: Clinton made "attack after attack", Obama "unrattled", "well prepared", "unflappable" (again!), will "resonate with voters". Clinton "tries to scold" Obama, who didn't "John McCain it" and gave a straightforward answer, "so rare in politics". Yikes, Keith, Stop drooling! Dana Milbank, sans splashy suits, nattered that the media see Hillary as "a loser" and was Great Thanksed. Hillary trying to "stall" the Super delegates. Robinson parroted; he wasn't Great Thanksed but he was Pleasured.

    Bathtub Boy

#4: Obama's cash surge! But first, breaking news! Hillary was asked about a "dream ticket", but didn't answer. With that breaking news out of the way, on to Obama's moolah. Obama never agreed to accept public financing; his position was actually "very nuanced". Keith pimped out Slippery Shuster, who rationalized away a Barack discrepancy over donations.

Comedian! [Ding!] After attacking CNN for bragging how they beat Countdown in February, Olby went on to #3: McCain "tries to school" Obama on Iraq, but gets "smoked" by Obama who "runs rings around him". And then, the bizarre, the unusual, the unexpected. Yes, worthy of Ripley's Believe It Or Not. Bathtub Boy actually utters a criticism of Barack Obama. And it's an OlbyPlanet classic: Oralmann complained because Obama said he respects McCain's service. No, we are not making this up. Hey, people, this is what's called a "news hour"? Monkeymann claims to be a "journalist"? He's no Edward R Murrow. You want a better comparison? Think Leni Riefenstahl. Leftist Carlson of the constipated face yammered.

#2: Bill Buckley remembrance, with Merkle taking the opportunity to roar how "gloriously wrong" he was on so many things. #1: Roger Clemens..

In the Media Matters Minute, Herr Olbermahn attacked "lunatic fringer" Jonah Goldberg (Blue Blog Source: Hillary Clinton's Media Matters), and a Republican (natch!) Florida state rep (Blue Blog Source: DailyKos). "Worst" was John McCain, for not remembering that he met Bill Cunningham (Blue Blog Source: AmericaBlog). We don't think there's been an Hour of Spin with such a lopsided ObamaSuckUp-to-McCainSmear ratio as this one, complete with "Man on Fan" Olbermann actually objecting to honoring his wartime service. If this were 1974, Keith would be Jane Fonda.

    MisterMeter

    Tonight's MisterMeter reading: 2 [LOW]

And that's The Hour of Spin for this, the 662nd day since the declaration that "Karl Rove will be indicted".

UPDATE: Mortman weighs in on "fat ass"

No Billo references today. How come Keith stopped talking about John Gibson? Poor John must be feeling left out.

Can you believe this guy? First he tells us that Al Quida(?) isn't in Iraq, then he tries telling us that AQ is bigger and more organized than ever (presumably in Iraq also.)

    Only in OlbyLand

So Keith thinks it's wrong to respect John McCain's military service? That's interesting. I guess the way to earn Keith Olbermann's respect is to be like John Kerry and assassinate the character of your fellow soldiers.

He stopped talking about Gibby because Gibson fights Olby's lies. Same thing with Mark Levin. Remember OlbyLimp named him WPITW before? Well, Levin fought back by exposing Keethy's peccadillos regarding "size" and "lack of sexual prowess." Limpy doesn't mention Levin anymore.

OW perhaps you can link up to Levin's response to being named WPITW.

By the way, Keith's silence on Levin since Levin's comeback tells me that Levin was 100% accurate.

Can someone please explain "Man on Fan" to me? I'm a newcomer and yet to pick up all the terms.

    *gasp*! J$! you said "pimped"!

i think you need to offer a half-assed apology and take a time-out from the blog for 2 weeks.

Geez, why should anyone respect McCain? He was only a naval pilot; a POW; refused to leave Hanoi Hilton when given the chance; public serice work . . .

Only in OlbyLand would anyone find fault.

Keith, why do you hate our military?

If this were 1974, Keith would be Jane Fonda.

    J$

It's 2008 and he's an orange faced left wing hack with a suit on.

    > Can someone please explain "Man on Fan" to me? I'm a newcomer and yet to pick up all the terms.

Olby always refers to Rick "Man on Dog" Santorum. So we refer to Keith "Man on Fan" Olbermann, a reference to Keithy's practice of emailing fans, meeting them for sleazy assignations in hotel rooms, and then telling them never to call him again.

    Shuster and Olby are "pimping"
    Conservatives? Kountdown is skimping
    Somewhere Murrow's cringing
    Keith's off his hinging
In the ratings, Kountdown is limping

    Thanks.

    Best. Site. Ever.

Sadly all my friends love him and consider him a news anchor. Even when I point out his blatant hypocrisies and lies by omission they defend him.

"We need SOMEBODY on our side!"

    Pretty pathetic...

OK. My biggest problem with the WPITW tonight was Keith saying that southerners should not honor their heritage. And apparently, Keith thinks that the south was trying to take over the north in the Civil War?!?! Does he even know his history? The South was trying to succeed from the North, not take them over. Treason?! Maybe the most unconstitutional president ever, Abe Lincoln, believed that. The South did not start that war, Lincoln did. Keith needs to catch up on his history. Come on, Keith, read a book instead of your talking point blogs.

Teheran Keith is clearly a hack.

How dare Obamanation say he respects McCain's service! He should be like Olbermann and smear McCain with lies and distortions. We know Olbermann doesn't respect anyone’s Military services except maybe Castro's. This is what is hilarious about you Olbyloons. You tried to sell the big lie that Olbermann would only pull his Goebbels schtick with George Bush because Bush is so EVIL. Now the veil is off and we see that Olbermann will smear anyone who stands in the way of putting his party in power.

"We need SOMEBODY on our side!"

    Pretty pathetic...

Posted by: Ender at February 27, 2008 10:12 PM

Is one of your friends named mike? He's says the exact same thing over and over.

#2: Bill Buckley remembrance, with Merkle taking the opportunity to roar how "gloriously wrong" he was on so many things.

Olbermann's horrible show and all other political shows would not even exist if not for Buckley. Unlike Olbermann, Buckley actually new the meaning of the words he used. In a battle of wits with Buckley, the un-armed Olbermann would be sent to his bath tub in record time. At least Screwball Chris Mathews had the brains to honor WFB.

    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/mark-finkelstein/2008/02/27/matthews-i-began-wfb-conservative

Olbermann is to WFB what cubic zirconia is to a diamond. Olbermann is a cheap imitation of a true legend.

Notice how the olbyloons won't show their faces when olbermahn is in the middle of smearinf a decorated war hero? Nothin but crickey's! When somebody with an (R) after their name is caught in a supposed "scandal' this blog is swarmed by the far leftist America haters. Very telling to say the least.

Buckley stood for Freedom, Olbermann stands for Totalitarianis,/. He's a Fascist. Read Jonah Goldberg's Liberal Fascism and Olbermann is a Fascist.

So Keith coundn't be professional and has now attacked a man that has passed away, a man that can't defend himself.
Real brave keith, you're a coward.

All Keith has to do is be professional and say something like: William had some controversial stances.

Agree or disagree with William at least have some respect for the guy who just passed away.

Hopefully somebody will get to Keith's bosses and let them know how stupid, insenseative and cowardly Keith's comments were.

His comments on Buckley made me want to puke. I did not like Olby before tonight's show but used to watch it for the idiotic stuff he would say. Now I dislike him strongly. His treatment of Buckley was over the edge. I disagreed with many things Buckley said but respected him deeply. All political parties lost something powerful here.

I think all should write an email to MSNBC in protest.

    Vince in AZ

    Writes James:

"So Keith thinks it's wrong to respect John McCain's military service? That's interesting. I guess the way to earn Keith Olbermann's respect is to be like John Kerry and assassinate the character of your fellow soldiers."

    END QUOTE

Olbyturd thinks he is God and he can judge "People". First he says he attacks O'Reilly when "HE" thinks O'Reilly lies because it's "HIS" responsibilty. "HE" also says it's because "HIS" worshipers want "HIM" too. He sits in judgement of all who just all happen to be Republican or people of Faith. My money says most of Olbyturds fans are atheist.

All these left wing loons cry about Swift Boating when John Kerry-Heinz swiftboated himself by being a fraud and a liar. Kerry-Heinz was a family friend of JFK and he knew a military career would proliferate his ambitions as a politician. Kerry-Heinz served his bit in Nam like Mike Moore sticking his big toe in the tub to check the temp before he jumped in. 3 PH's in 3 months all for superficial wounds no real combat would have applied for a PH, all requiring a new salve that later became known as Neosporin and a Band-aide and one self inflicted. He was no more a soldier than Gomer Pyle.

McCain narrowly survived a deck fire on the Oriskini under his A-4 by crawling off the fuel probe just before the bombs loaded on F-4's exploded. He was shot down over Hanoi with multiple fractures after he ejected and parachuted into a lake where villagers beat him. He spent 5 years in the Hanoi Hilton where one of Kerry-Heinz's fans, Hanoi Jane, crapped all over America.

The cracks are already starting to show in Obama-mania. This man is no more qualified to be President than Olbyturd. Funny thing most real journalists last night said we have gotten past all the gripes about who and why we are in Iraq, the question is how do we succeed.

    Obamanation:

"The bus was driven into the ditch, there are many ways to get it out, the question is who drove it in the ditch".

TPS - My money says you couldn;t get it out with a D-10 Cat or dynamite.

"Last month Exxon posted record profits of 4 billion. It will be tough getting Exxon to give up those profits".

TPS - Yeah, that may stick in the hood especially where sticking a gun in a store owners face is the top employment alternative in the hood.

This clown and left wing loons are going down in flames. There are still more of us than use guys. We are smarter, richer, more educated, work harder, people of Fatih and better looking.

    jherky posts:

"My biggest problem with the WPITW tonight was Keith saying that southerners should not honor their heritage."

    END QUOTE

Olbyturd knows no more about a southern boy such as me than he does about fornicating. This turd probably never went to a single class in school thru college with a black person. He said he learned about racism one night while walking home after getting off from the porno theater where he worked late nights and a policeman shined a light in his face and then turned it off. A few nights later he saw them shine a light in a black's face and they didn't turn it off. WTF. Olbyturd learned about the south from Hollywood, Mississippi Burning, A Time For Killing, Rosewood. The fact is most southerners treated each other with respect from the Civil War to present day. How would he know. He's a stinking Yankee.

This is a man who was brought up by a domineering mother who didn't get laid till his 40's and then he either paid for it or ran into the first sprem spitton willing to give him a little. Thsi boy's blood pressure stays so high with all his hate and angert I doubt he could get it up himself.

    Joe writes:

That's one of the reasons they are called left wing nut jobs.

Calling Olby a professional would be like saying Rosie, Sarandon, Barbra, Jane or Whoopi were good looking women.

NBC continues to use "MSNBC" even though Microsoft officially severed its MSNBC partnership with NBC long ago. The two companies still retain joint control of the MSNBC.com Web site, but MSNBC TV is just another lie from NBC Ruse.

PS - Microsoft has publicly stated that if it had known what a poor business decision starting MSNBC was going to be, it would never have started the news channel. Ouch.

Millions and millions believed, and the nations of the world passed laws based on the last big scientific mistake a century ago....dear wannawipe...the idea of eugenics.....

I will simply wait and see the reversal, again....Politics mixing with science usually leads to such stupidity.....like Al Gore.

    On another subject.....

"Is Sen. Obama unaware that al Qaeda is still present in Iraq, that our forces are successfully fighting them every day, and that his Iraq policy of withdrawal would embolden al Qaeda and weaken our security?

    [...]

"the Democratic presidential contenders deny progress and see only gloom and doom. Where is the audacity of hope when it comes to backing the success of our troops all the way to victory in Iraq? What we heard last night was the timidity of despair."

    ###
This is going to be a wonderful campaign... the vapid nature of Obamessiah's rhetoric when challenged with real world issues (a successful policy for a democratic Iraq) will become more and more obvious.

I hope McCain challenges our dear Obamessiah to many townhall meetings so that we all can see the neophyte try to meet the specifics needed to be President.

Thank you democrats.....Clinton Co. is going down in flames thankfully with the legacy of Bill Clinton and we now have a decent campaign ahead of us that will truly give America a choice between two totally different courses.....a positive one and a negative one.

Ah, wannawipe, once again going off the deep end when we are trying to have a rational discussion.....

I have posted this link before, wannawipe, and I think it is a very accurate and cogent piece for the demagogues like Gore to consider....especially when no cause/effect proof is available connecting human activity and global temperature shifts (which may have a totally natural explaination)....

I know it has big words and all, but try to understand that such analysis of imprtant issues like "global warming" deserve unemotional and intelligent attitudes.

"are you going to convince us all, the rest of the world, that our MAN MADE CO2 production has NO impact on OUR well being?"

    ###
No...I am questionaing the lack of evidence that CO2 is the main and/or only influence on global climate change....The small scientifically variable changes in temperature have no definitive cause proved by science. Period.

You see...I try to be rational and unemotional, and wannawipe goes off the deep end....

Why do I even try? I guess it's of no use....

Go to your Obamessiah rally, wannawipe....scream, weep, faint then go walk in goose-step.....

The left believing(do they?)there was no Al-Queda might be fine during the primary season, but those words will come back to haunt them in November. Al-Queda was in Iraq(Zarqawi was there training and recruiting). The left also conveniently tie the Republicans(as well as the Democrats who voted for war) to "we went after the wrong enemy". Bush gave Saddam 6 months to comply to U.N. resolution 1441. Saddam caused the war by not complying with the U.N., not for 9/11. I guess McCain will have to spell it out for the general public in the months to come. Obama wants to pull out, and go back in if need be.....Huh??? Seems to me EVERY statement Obama makes regarding foreign policy proves he doen't have a clue in what's going on. That's what happens when you get your news from "Meltdown", Zsa Zsa Huffington, and Media Matters..They tend to leave out reality. After Obama loses in November, Keith and Hillary will be very much singing the same tune, "I told you so...." Then again, my favorite Orange Oracle has four more years to bitch...if he doesn't have an on air stroke first......

One volcano puts out more co2 than the breathing of the entire human race

11,500 yrs ago the earth experienced global warming, long before people like alGore were polluting the atmosphere. Was that Bush's fault, too?

Fuckin' Al Gore has convinced all of us with a movie.

is there video anywhere of olbermann criticizing obama for respecting mccain's service?

Please give us the cable news ratings at the end of your summaries. ICN and Cable News Wars no longer publish and I always look forward to seeing how fat ass is doing.

Who does Olbermann think he is to even mention the great William F. Buckley's name? Olby is an ass monkey while Buckley is father of a great political movement. The communist little bastard should have his single testicle removed for thinking that it is big enough to talk of such philosophical giants.

Thank you democrats.....Clinton Co. is going down in flames thankfully with the legacy of Bill Clinton and we now have a decent campaign ahead of us that will truly give America a choice between two totally different courses.....a positive one and a negative one.

explorer, there is a poster named mike whois always a good source for keeping tabs on olby's ratings. Ironically, he claims that "ratings don't matter," but when his ratings are ever questioned he is the first to set us straight!

Obamanation has been loved by the press and Hillary has not went after him like she could because of the fear of losing some black support.

When Obama has been questioned he studders so badly he makes Mel Tillis sound like an eloquent speaker.

Just wait till conservative and right wing groups start putting the pressure on this dumbass, he'll fold. I'm sure we'll see some photos soon enough of him kneeling on a prayer rug or holding an AK-47. There is nothing to the man except a disaster in the making. I'd like to see what his administration would look like.

Secretary of State - Jesse Jackson. This man stirs the pot of racial hatred everyday. And like Obama, this man is actually respected by our enemies. He is one of them, the oppressed.

Secretary of Defense - Charles Barron, NYC councelman known for saying "When I see a white man I want to slap him". Led the removal of George Washington portraits from the city, banned businesses that did business with the south before the Civil War from doing business in NYC. The man that said just after the start of the war in Iraq at the Mall in DC in a protest by ANSWER that if the US governemt didn't make reparations for slavery they were prepared to take up arms. And we thought George Bush was a cowboy.

Secretary of Interior - Al Sharpton, Fat Shady. Here's a man that still defends Taiwana Brawley. A man like this could run any scam in the world. This man spreads more manure than any one and can make his followers think it's cotton candy on the first day of the circus.

Secretary of Energy - Al Gore. Anyone that walks it like he talks it like Al Gore should be a perfect fit for this job.

Secretary of Agriculture - Mike Brown, boulder headed son of Ron Brown. Ron Brown was the Sec. of Ag under willie and was being investigated for bribery and other charges before he died in a plane crash. Like the saying goes, chip off the old block, like father like son, what difference what pocket it comes out of. He would fill his father's shoes admirably.

Home Land Security Director - Kwame Kilpatrick. Drive through Detroit. Most streets look right out of Iraq. No IED's so he should be rewarded. Our government would throw some 100 acre dirt farmer under the jail for cheating on a few hundred dollars on diesel fuel but looks the other way at this boy.

FEMA Director - Ray Nagin. Here's a man that after the city of New Orleans narrowly escaped a hurricane that exposed how poor New Orleans evacuation plans were did nothing. Nothing. This is a man that cried that 10k citizens had drowned in New Orleans before he abandoned the command center leaving behind his staff, chief of police and medical personell and fled to San Antonio. This is a man that led the voice that said our own governement blew up the levees. We need a man like that, that can get re-elected after being soley responsible for allowing 1200 humans to drown. If only George Bush could deflect criticizm like this boy. Look, no controversies.

Apparently, you can't read or hear. Deaf and blind while the other goes w/out saying....

The following is a letter I sent to Keith regarding his support for Barrack Obama:

    Keith,

Let me start by saying I am a fan of your show. I've been watching you regularly for the last year. Most of the time, I agree with the opinions and statements expressed on your show. I applaud your crusades against Bush, Bill O'Reilly and Fox News in general. I feel that this country has been hijacked by the extreme right over the past 8 years and they deserve every criticism thrown at them.

All of that being said, I am extremely disheartened by your blatant, unabashed bias towards Obama. I am aware that even journalists have their favorite candidates. However, it is my understanding that journalists are supposed to be objective in their approach to reporting on campaigns and elections. Granted there is a great degree of Op Ed in your program. I suppose my outrage is more focused on your choice for President rather than your journalistic ethics.

I do not consider myself a Democrat or a Republican but at this point in time my support for President is leaning towards Hillary Clinton. Yes she still has some supporters regardless of what your own personal beliefs may be.

Hey Keith... remember the 90s? A gallon of gas was one dollar, we had a budget surplus, the national dept was only $1 trillion and our economy was a Juggernaut. We can thank the Clintons for all of that. Of course, it was Bill who did all of that great stuff but you know if we elect Hilary it is a two for one deal.

Now my concerns with Obama... First and foremost, he is very inexperienced. He attacks Hillary on NAFTA and her vote for the Iraq war yet he has the convenience of not being in office during any of these events. It's always easy to have 20/20 hindsight but most people believed Bush's lies back in 2003. Regardless of what you think of Hillary's record, at least she has one and it dates back 30 years. She has been through thick and thin and she knows how to fight the Republican smear machine. How's Obama going to deal with the endless onslaught of Republican "swift boat" style attacks? Now we have some of the most serious problems to deal with in this country since Vietnam and democrats and journalists like you are ready to throw in the rookie.

Keith, I know you are a sports guy so here's a baseball analogy: we're in the bottom of the 9th, bases loaded with 2 outs, down by 3; your Veteran, all star home run champion, all juiced up on steroids and HGH (Hillary) is up to bat; now you want to bench the juiced up veteran and send in the charming, poetic, charismatic guy right out of the minors (Obama)?

    Come on...

Now Obama's personal issues.... We all know Hillary has had a great deal of issues in the past. The good thing is that they are all reruns. Everyone knows her dirt. We still don't know what the Republicans are going to unearth on Obama in the coming months. Well here's a Countdown for you:

    5. Obama was born a Muslim. Not a big deal for most people but how about all of those swing voters in the Midwest and south who consider themselves "patriotic" Americans and wouldn't be caught dead voting for Barrack Hussein Obama?

    4. Obama denounces Luis Farrakhan. However his pastor does not. Obama is deeply involved in a strange "Africa first" Christian organization that praises controversial figures like Farrakhan.

    3. Obama does not salute the flag. While he has denied this allegation, it is still scary that a presidential candidate does not have any American flags anywhere near him during his speeches.

    2. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton. While Obama has managed to steer clear of this dynamic duo for a while, Jessie Jackson reared his publicity seeking head last week in defense of Michelle Obama regarding the O'Reilly attack. It may have been justified but the question still remains... What role will they play in his presidency? I would be much more likely to vote for Obama if I had a guarantee that Jackson and Sharpton would not be allowed near the White House.

    1. Obama: the People's choice or the Media's choice? We've all bared witness to the media frenzy that has taken place over the past month on Obama's behalf. We 've watched the hype build and build, we've seen the band wagon grow and grow. Now who's to blame for this? Well you are Keith. When I see your show now it feels as though I'm watching Bizarro Fox News. There is a great deal of bias and one sided hype only it isn't for the usual Republican Neo Cons; it is all slanted towards Senator Barrack Obama. I haven't heard you make one positive comment for Hillary since she lost her presumed front runner status some time in January.

Do you really like Obama or do you just like a winner?

Are we really choosing the most qualified candidate to go up against the Republican Smear Machine in November, or are we simply succumbing to media-fueled hype?

Haven't we been down this road before, selecting an unproven candidate based solely on personality, charisma and/or likability (see: Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush)?

Are we doomed to repeat the past?

These are questions that need to be asked and no one seems to be addressing them. I can only hope that you and the rest of the media will come to your senses and be "Fair and Balanced" enough to consider them...before it's too late.

    Good night, and good luck

    An example of Olby Journalism.

    A Bikers Story

A biker is riding by the zoo, when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents. The biker jumps off his bike, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker
brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.

A reporter has seen the whole scene, and addressing the biker, says, "Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I saw a man do in my whole life."

"Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right."

"Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, you know, and tomorrow's papers will have this on the first page. What motorcycle do you ride?

    "A Harley Davidson."

The journalist leaves. The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on first page:

BIKER GANG MEMBER ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT AND STEALS HIS LUNCH.

U.S. ranks 23rd in reading and math. Obama chants "change". What change? The teacher's unions are what's killing education in this country. The socialist system of pay for teachers(non-merit) keeps people in a job they are not qualified for. Here in Florida, we have the FCAT tests, which takes time away from learning. Bush wanted change by implementing the voucher system. The Democrats are the last party to change anything, unless it's for the benefit of unions and/or trial lawyers.

Where is that freight train known as Obamessiah?.....

"Thursday’s data also shows John McCain continuing to lead both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in general election match-ups. McCain now leads Obama 46% to 43% and Clinton 47% to 44% (see recent daily results and summary of recent state general election polls). Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. The next Presidential Tracking Poll update is scheduled for Friday at 11:00 a.m.

"Nationwide, Obama is viewed favorably by 51% and unfavorably by 48%. McCain’s numbers are 54% favorable, 43% unfavorable. Clinton earns positive reviews from 46% of Likely Voters nationwide and negative assessments from 52%."

Do I sense some overconfidence on the left?

No, Dr. Cee, you sense profound doubts about your flawed world view and you are reacting by thrashing.

Do you know why Royal King is posting as Olby S***s now?

Well chicken blogger....when a representative of my "flawed wrold view" garners the best in approval numbers over the far left candidates, I still feel very welcomed in my country. I also appreciate the fact that at least one political party respects my point of view and allows people with different ideas representation.

I already know the religious radical left despises my worldview to the point of hatred and vindictive......thankfully, such idiocy is only seen in that very small minority.

    Actually Cee,

it reall depends on the poll.

    LA Times/Bloomberg 02/21 has McCain +2.0

    AP-Ipsos 02/22 - 02/24 755 has Obama +10.0

    USA Today/Gallup 02/21 has McCain +1.0

    CBS News/NY Times 02/20 has Obama +12.0

    Research 2000 02/21 has Obama +6.0

FOX News (I take it you will trust your own propaganda network) 02/19 - 02/20 has Obama +4.0

    Rasmussen (Thu) has McCain +3.0

So it looks tight, but I think once the American people get to know the canidates they will vote for Obama

I suppose your hopes are well founded, chicken blogger....However, ties to The Nation of Islam and other seperatists will need to be overcome first. Guilt by association works both ways and the attempt of the left to smear evangelicals and supporters of Israel will mean it is fair game to impugn associates in Obamessiah's circle of faith which, as of yet, has not be adequately vetted.

John McCain and the RNC has shown themselves to be above such vitriol, even apologizing for such tactics....oh but those 527's are ready to go, go, go....."Barack Hussein Obama." Just like the radical left Soros funded smear machine that has already been up and running......

We'll see if the American people are willing to embrace people with such "baggage."

Obamanation and the politics of "Change"

"Barack Obama has ratcheted up his attacks on NAFTA, but a senior member of his campaign team told a Canadian official not to take his criticisms seriously

The staff member reassured Wilson that the criticisms would only be campaign rhetoric, and should not be taken at face value."

    http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20080227/dems_nafta_080227/20080227?hub=QPeriod

I guess change means that he will "change" his positions once he gets into office.

    Cee,

the far right has already started it\'s smear of Obama from the pictures of him in african garb (trying to paint him as a muslim) to the supposed ties to the nation of islam (he has denouced farrokan and all he stands for) To saying he is anti-Isreal (he has said the defense of Isreal is sacrosanct) To simply calling him the obama messiah.

I think Barack will respond just fine to these Rupert Murdoch type smears. The McCain_lobbist has some promise there are number of issues where he has been right in the past:

IMMIGRATION: he wrote the bill granting amnesty to illegal immigrants (co-sponsored by Ted Kennedy)

SOCIAL SECURITY: he voted to give your social security money to illegal immigrants

TAXES: he voted against the Bush tax cuts multiple times (but still campaigns as a lifelong tax-cutter)

FIRST AMENDMENT: he wrote the McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill that was declared to be an unconstitutional infringement of the 1st Amendment (co-sponsored by ultra-liberal Democrat Russ Feingold)

SECOND AMENDMENT: he was called the \'worst 2nd amendment candidate\' by the president of the NRA

ENERGY TAX: wrote a bill (co-sponsored by his buddy Sen. Joe Lieberman) imposing a massive tax on energy which, according to the Department of Energy, would drastically raise the price of gasoline.

GLOBAL WARMING: supports radical global warming legislation

JUDGES: he joined with Democrats (Gang of 14) to block the Senate Republican\'s attempt to confirm conservative, strict constructionist judges.

GAY MARRIAGE: he joined liberals to fight against a federal marriage amendment

Evangelicals: In 2000, he famously described Christian leaders as \'agents of intolerance\'

ABORTION: he filed an amicus brief against pro-life advocates in Wisconsin

BI-PARTISANSHIP: he met with leading Democrats in 2004 to discuss the possibility of being John Kerry\'s VP.

All of these make him almost Ok, but I think the war and the economy are going to drag him down.

Let me correct you lies Olbermann zombie.

The picture of Obama was put out by the Clinton camp. So was the madrassa story. Post next time without the lies.

Oh I expected this. Drudge claims a clinton staffer gave itr to him (no proof offered) and the right wing beleived him and dutifully ran with the smear placing it on man far right blogs. (don\'t see it on the clinton site though) Nope the right wing smear machine is in full swing.

I am glad to see you easily list the achievements of the honorable former POW Senator John McCain...although a very selective list that does not include....

Voting for the partial bith abortion ban

voting for the funding of our troops....fully and without unconstituional conditions

    voting for FISA

and many other wonderful things for our country that resulted in a lifelong 83% conservative rating!

And still...he has a higher approval rating accross polls than Clinton or Hussein Obama DESPITE being a pro-Iraq War Republican in an uncertain economy!

I dunno, anon.....McCain has a great base to start with and is well vetted.....

Unlike the ? Obamessiah who's church gives awards to anti-Semetic bigots......guilty by association......The man should be proud of his Islamic heritage and associations with other black seperatists.....

And I see you can't give us a list of Obamessiah's legislative accomplishments.

Well you are right McCainlobbist has voted incorrectly on numerous issues. Which I think will bring him down in the election.

I also think the far right will have trouble voting for a man who cheated on his first wife after she had a severe accident. He then divorced her and married his multi-millionaire mistress, whose daddy bought McCain a spot in the Congress.

Posted by: at February 28, 2008 4:34 PM

Why did Clinton's campaign manager say that there was nothing wrong with the release of the picture and that Obama should not be ashamed of it? Drudge has never broken accurate story about the Clintons? Where were you in the 90's, living under a rock? Even Obama thinks she release that photo.

"The Obama campaign seized on it and accused Clinton of "fearmongering" by promulgating an image of the Illinois senator "
You must be the only fool who thinks Clinton didn't release the photo.

So basically you have no evidence just like drudge. Come back when ou get some.

You are the one who made the accusation that Republicans release the photo. Where is your proof? You have none. Run along.

4:45PM all well known to this flat-earther fundy, anon, and all is forgiven! You don't seem to realize that the smears your 527's have prepared pale to the right's 527's simply because Obamessiah has not been tested yet!

Poor John McCain went through 2000 and survived to succeed now and is ready to go!

The tenacious former figheter pilot has a stellar biography and when the American people are reminded of his honorable actions in Hanoi as Clinton, Fonda and the other forefathers of Obamessiah spit in his face....well....

And lets not forget NATION OF ISLAM.... great stuff there, anon...Obamessiah can try to denounce, deny and decry but his pastor and mentor is a buddy of ol' Louis...even giving him a humanitarian award....

I can't wait to see the pictures morphing from Louis and Minister Wright to Obama Hussein Obama.....

    http://sweetness-light.com/archive/obamas-mentor-gives-farrakhan-his-award

Nope, I said the right wing smear machine was in full gear using a photo of barack in African gear. the proof is on wizbangblog and numerous other right wing sources (like drudge that ran with the photo.)

Now unless you have counter proof run along.

    Well Cee,

I agree it was a shame what Bush and Rove did to Mccain in 2000. Putting out a push poll that claimed McCainlobbyist had fathered a black baby out of wedlock.

Still I just think leading the keating five and all his ethical problems will really hurt McCainlobbyist far more than the racist smears against Obama will hurt him.

McCain seems a decent sort and saner than most on the far right (Why the crazy Dobson types hate him) but I don\'t think he will stand up to obama\'s power to inspire and the right\'s smear of calling him the obama Messiah for his ability to inspire will fail miserably.

"'Minister Farrakhan will be remembered as one of the 20th and 21st century giants of the African American religious experience,' continues Wright. 'His integrity and honesty have secured him a place in history as one of the nation’s most powerful critics. His love for Africa and African American people has made him an unforgettable force, a catalyst for change and a religious leader who is sincere about his faith and his purpose.'"

    http://sweetness-light.com/archive/obamas-mentor-gives-farrakhan-his-award

    ###
Obama's great friend and mentor sure is a good judge of character......Judging a man by his friends and not just his empty words ("I support Israel") is something the American people are wise to do....

Louis Farrakhan will be a easy stone around Obamessiah's neck....

How is the right wing using the photo? The photo has been on every network news cast and every newspaper and you bring up one blog that it is on? Wow you are brainless. Since when is The Drudge Report rightwing? Drudge post any story he thinks will attract and page hits. He is used by every media outlet and both political parties.

Clinton didn't release the photo. Too stupid for the Clinton machine.

My bet is Obama's team with or without his approval released it to live in the guaranteed backlash that would spank Clinton or Republicans or both.

    Just my opinioned.

"In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01. White America and the Western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just 'disappeared' as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns."

    http://sweetness-light.com/archive/obamas-pastor-called-911-wake-up-call-from-people-of-color

    ###
Kind of like when those on the right tried to use 9/11 to suggest God was judging America on the acceptance of homosexuality?....And the left is silent on this nutcase associate of Obamessiah's....oh the hypocrisy!

Yep....there is lots of time to tarnish the silver tongued Obamessiah.....rhetoric can only carry someone so far.....weep, faint, weep again!

Man, the factor, you are challenging Rk for the dumbest guy on this blog.

When has Drudge been right Wing? Who considers him anything but? Only the far right I guess. Since that was the source. and since as I pointed out many far right blogs are using the pictreres pejoratively it is logical to conclude the right wing smear machine is in high gear. Now unless you come up with some counter evidence don\'t you think ou should try and retain some dignity?

2001, Drudge told the Miami New Times that:

“ ... I am a conservative. I\'m very much pro-life. If you go down the list of what makes up a conservative, I\'m there almost all the way.[41] ”

Drudge has attempted to distinguish his political beliefs from those of the Republican party, arguing that his politics more accurately reflect libertarianism.[42] In a 2005 interview with The Sunday Times Drudge described his politics:

“ I’m not a right-wing Republican,” he replies without batting an eye. “I’m a conservative and want to pay less taxes. And I did vote Republican at the last election. But I’m more of a populist.[43]

Posted by: at February 28, 2008 5:14 PM

So, you make a baseless acussation with no proof and you expect me to produce evidence to dispute it? Where is your proof that TheDrudge Report is right wing. Find a story on his site right now that proves he is rightwing. It should be easy if it is what you say it is.

Posted by: at February 28, 2008 5:19 PM

So, you post quotes of him saying he is not rightwing, as proof that he is? That makes sense.

AXELROD CBS NEWS: "Now, that picture. An image of Barack Obama in a robe and turban during an African visit has been making it's way around the internet. We want to show it to you. His campaign says Clinton staffers put it out and that that's shameful. Clinton aides say it wasn't them, although they wouldn't rule out the possibility of an employee acting independently. The Clinton aides point is that there's plenty of pictures of the Clinton's, the Obama campaign was just being divisive. So now they're not just taking shots at each other, they're taking shots at each other about whether they're taking shots at each other. Harry."

    More proof loser.

\"So, you post quotes of him saying he is not rightwing, as proof that he is? That makes sense\"

What are you an idiot? Did the whole part where keeps repeating I\'m a conservative get lost on you?

that\'s not proof dumass that\'s an accusation. How did you get so dumb?

\"Republican operatives keep an open line to Drudge, often using him to attack their opponents.\"

I’m a conservative and want to pay less taxes. And I did vote Republican at the last election.

    From the Clinton camp:

We don’t think there’s anything wrong with this photo. Sen. Clinton has herself, while traveling abroad, dressed in traditional, local dress. And there’s nothing divisive about that.\"

Nope, I said the right wing smear machine was in full gear using a photo of barack in African gear. the proof is on wizbangblog and numerous other right wing sources (like drudge that ran with the photo.)

Now unless you have counter proof run along.

Now his ego is bruised, and he is using his media soapbox to lambaste to his audience of knuckle-dragging reactionaries the candidate for whom he was just the other day willing to act as Nuremburg fluffer.

Uh, no idiot androgynous one. He didn't denounce his former pastor and spiritual adviser. He actually denounced (and rejected) "Minister" Farrakhan. I don't know why he would use the honorific "Minister" for a racist anti-Semite that he's denounced (and rejected), though.

So the odious Bathtub boy is denigrating a genuine war hero now. I wonder what kind of reception he expects to get when he visits Iraq?

The same reason some of us call Bush "Mr. President." We dislike him, disagree with him, disrespect him, but we honor the office, even as he has dishonored it. You have no military connection, do you. It's the office, not the person.

Oh I love how the left tries to ignore the associates of Obama and their words while tying those on the right to McCain.....The hypocrisy is funny to watch.

But Farrakhan is a real force in black America and poor Obamessiah will have to deal with his church's close and positive relationship with The Nation of Islam.....527's will make that well known. People are very forgiving of personal mistakes but associations with seperatists and anti-Semites makes the normal person think twice and there is a large group of these around Obamessiah saying all sorts of good things about him......

And then there is this today.....

Concerns over Obama’s shift to left

"Mr Obama’s proposal to levy lower corporate tax on companies that reverse the offshoring of jobs has caused disquiet. 'Patriot employers' was unveiled when Mr Obama had already become the favourite to secure the nomination. Some say it is unworkable.

"'It just isn’t clear why the Obama campaign felt the need to bring this out now,' one Democratic economist says. 'It might have political merits in the primaries but there are many more effective and less bureaucratic ways than this to incentivise the creation of new jobs.'

"Mr Obama’s terminology has also raised eyebrows. 'What he is effectively saying is that companies that offshore jobs are unpatriotic,' says Gary Hufbauer, senior fellow at the Peterson Institute of International Economics. 'This is serious language.'

"Tacking to the left on the economy would be vindicated in the eyes of many if Mr Obama won in either Ohio or Texas next Tuesday. But officials on John McCain’s Republican campaign believe Mr Obama has given them ammunition for the general election.

"Mr McCain, whose core selling point is strength on national security, has been mocked for a self-confessed weak grasp of economics and for having suggested last month that spending cuts should be part of any fiscal stimulus package – a measure that would further depress growth.

"But advisers to Mr McCain believe that Mr Obama would present a juicy target as nominee. 'We see him as a classic liberal whose proposals come straight out of the 1970s,' says Douglas Holtz-Eakin, senior McCain adviser. 'It is hard to understand his stance on trade. Access to the US market is a vital element of our foreign policy.'"

    Where is this freight train?

No more fear mongering from me, dear wannawipe, then when you and the other leftists tell us all about the impending theocracy from the right from all of McCain's and Bush's supporters from Christian evangelical circles....

    Good for goose...you know....

And we all know how popular The Nation of Islam is with the general (normal) public.

All Obama needs to do is repudiate his church that is being oh so stubborn in their positive portryal of the anti-Semite, anti-American bigoted seperatist, Louis!

He, he, he.....we'll see how strong Obamessiah is over this little challenge...one of many to come.

Oh, and it is interesting that the left is so sensitive about the use of Obamessiah's middle name....

    George W. Bush
    William Jefferson Clinton
    George Herbert Walker Bush
    Ronald Wilson Reagan

It seems a nice trend lately that our presidents had their full given names put out for respect and pomp.....

Do Barock concert goers and backers know this?

A senior foreign policy adviser to leading Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama told me that if elected Obama will not "rule out" using private security companies like Blackwater Worldwide in Iraq. The adviser also said that Obama does not plan to sign on to legislation that seeks to ban the use of these forces in US war zones by January 2009, when a new President will be sworn in.

Question #1: I like Senator Obama as a person (he seems very affable, he is a publically declared follower of Christ) and I respect him for his political skills but 100% totally oppose him based on his twisted and contradictory ideology.

Question #2: You should not. I judge people based on their character.

And to REPEAT....the line of attack of "guilty by association" is simply a "good for goose/gander" example to the last several years of religious bigorty lefties like yourself have attempted at Bush and now McCain v/v the "religious right."

"Hussein," the close connection to Louis and The Nation of Islam and Obamessiah's preacher-like style are all fair game BECAUSE the left has had the habit of bashing republicans for their ties to entities the bigots feel are deserving of ridicule (fundies, flat-earthers, end-time preachers, etc).....

Religion and politics will continue to mix...BUT NOW ON THE DEMOCRAT'S SIDE!

Oh, the irony! Where are all the usual subjects from the rational secular left?

They've even got a "stand-by" appellation. If and when things look better for Hillary, we'll all morph into "powerful woman haters"... :D

When you watch Cee, you really get a sense of how the Republican smear machine is going to work this cycle.

First they will deny their racisim then they will proceed to make false racists statements about links to the nation of Islam despite Obama's rejection publically of all they stand for.

Next they will smear with crude third grade attacks calling him the obama messiah and other such silly things. This in response to Obama's powerful oratory skills, the right are trying to turn it into a weekness. Hoping their claim that it is cult like will force Obama away from one of his greatest campain strengths.

What is amazing to me is how the right wing, will accept this and childish name calling and repeat it over and over and over again. I think What happens is when one of their leaders, Like say a Sean Hannity says something like obama messiah, the rest of the right has no mental filter in place for one they trust. So they accept it as absolute truth and no arguing will ever change that.

You see it all the time from the craziest of the far right, from beleiving intelligent design is actuall science, to regecting a virtual scientific consensus on global warming. If their leaders have said it is false. it is false. it is bizarre, but really interesting.

I guess that Is why I keep coming back.

Good point... Now WHOSE campaign circulated the picture of Obama in middle eastern dress? WHO linked him to Farrakhan? :D

Ahhhhhhh..... the good ole days... when it was merely the religion of Mormonism that was a "legitimate" campaign issue...

"The Church [Catholic] is fairly clear on the Mormon issue, teaching us Mormonism is simply a cult. I don't want to carry that into politics, but I don't know if I can separate myself from it. After hearing this teaching for 45 years or so, I doubt I can simply file it away.

Given a different candidate, I might be deeply, deeply conflicted.

Posted by: Clucker at August 30, 2007 2:28 PM"

Noticed some of the above posts talking about lefty rascism. I watched that "Lil' Bush" cartoon on the comedy channel last night, and some of that is as rascist and sexist as it gets. They simply transfer their rascism and sexism to the right under the guise of humor. I've noticed the same with Bill Maher's show. He's said rascist and misogynist statements that if uttered by anyone on the right, would be front page news with the Moscow, I mean New York Times......Olbermann would get away with alot more if he moved to the comedy channel, where he really belongs anyway, if not a mental ward.......

Another amazing phenomenon that I often have come across in my interactions with the far right (other than their obvious denial of relaity) Is the way in which they will use what I call the Jenne Perrimac argument.

This was an argument perfected in kindegarten by one Jenne Perrimac who would repsond to all points with "I know you are but what am I?"

For example, in this cycle the right willl claim hypocrisy when Bush is attacked for evangelical support (despite the fact that he is a keynote speaker for lunatics like bob jones whom he has never repudiated) then attack Obama for links to the nation of Islam (who he has repudiated.)

Again in my opinon this goes back to the lack of filter I was talking about it, is very similar to the jenne perrimac argument and a common one of the far right. The beauty of it (from their perspective) is it protects them from having to deal the uncomfortable feeling they sometimes get when they have a moment of clarity and realize how illogical their positions are.

The far right will try to equate their mistrust of science with liberal mistrust of crooks like Jimmy swaggert. again the bizarre rational that links this kind of thinking is only something that comes from the far right.

Often to me, one of the truly weird things about the far right is their hostility to facts. point out a fact to the far right and they will almost universlly attack you personally or question your patriotism.

I haven't figured what causes this anger but my theory is that the far right is really disturbed by a changing world. I think anthing that intrudes upon an illusion of the way things are is met as an attack on their survival. say that America is ranked 18th not number 1 in education and it becomes not a problem to be resolved but instead and attaqck on america that must be ignored. After all, we are number 1 and if some hipppe commie world organization says we are falling behind in schooling well the just hate america and should be bombed as soon as possible.

my theory is that the far right is really disturbed by a changing world.

    ---

How very true! Remember Grannie's ode to the comedians and comediennes of old earlier in the week? Just the tip. just the tip.
Dr. Cee's ridiculous comparisons of the incursion into Iraq with World War II? Now, we're below the surface. When Senator Obama gives his acceptance speech (on the anniversary of the "I Have a Dream Speech") they will all be looking with great longing upon the Hoover administration and Joe McCarthy. One foot firmly planted in 1928, and another in 1958. Of course, Republicans do have wide stances, as we all know.

Sorry to disapoint your prejudiced conclusions, anon, but I ham not a follower of Hannity of Limbaugh although, like I mentioned about Obama above, I do respect their talents and ability to discuss topics.

"Obamessiah" was my own creation on the board last week in a moment of weakness as I read and watched the coverage of this campaign. Even his wife's rhetoric has become so over the top in regards to his place in history that such silliness must be addressed. I am a rational and scientific person who QUIETLY contemplates issues, people and their words. The Sunday morning revival style and group think of the Obama rallies is foreign to me and I believe covers a whole host of deficiencies. Pointing this out, with an attempt at humor, is my intention along with reminding people that this is one VERY out of mainstream leftist who hold very contradictory ideological views.

And as I have seen on this board, OW, for more than a year now, the left uses fundamentalist and evangelicals as political punching bags and as "guilt by association" tragets for republicans, "anti-sciece" "homophobes" "hypocritical war mongers," etc. I now am here to disperse the same medicine but a much more bitter elixir it is because The Nation of Islam is a black seperatist movement with anti-Semitic and anti-American ideology. Obama's church has close ties to these people and even awarded the leader, a man who believes in flying saucers and divine retribution through him, an award....a mentor of Obamessiah, Reverand Wright, CHOSE Minister Louis for the honor.....hello?

So, it is a viable subject matter and I simply believe the left is not prepared to face it honestly like they do when the tables are turned. It is not racist to discuss the connections between a candidate, his church and an organization widely reviled and considered a bad influence. I am sorry in interrupts the

    WEEP, FAINT, WEEP AGAIN

cycle, but this vetting is what campaigns are all about. The same is going to be true of Obamessiah's business dealings, his very affluent lifestyle and his voting record while in Illinois state politics.....so little is known that it is about time people examine the man like McCain has been examined.

Normal people do not like hatred. Why a church would endorce Farrakhan and his hateful rhetoric is beyond me but yet Michelle, Barrack and their girls still attend.....It is a valid question and it will be asked....Whether the fine Senator answers it to people's satisfaction (other than a simple condemnation of Louis which is easy and cowardly) is another matter.

And how so called "progressives" can overlook the clear link from Obama to Wright to Farrakhan is also an issue and brings the whole democrat party in question. Who do they represent and to what lengths will they go to obtain power?

what lengths will they go to obtain power?

Our plan is to count the votes of all the people who voted, fairly, accurately and fully, Dr. Grand Wizard Cee. It's called democracy, and we expect, given a chance, it will work.

Well, this is the first time we'd heard that Hillary is on the far right for castigating Obama for not denoucing Farrakhan enough, but-- nice to know...

Yes, if Obama is a part of an Afrocentric Church, their statements and beliefs, former or current..., should be every bit as valid an issue, as was any previous stance of Bob Jones or say... some former stand of the Mormon Church.

By all means, let's get Obama on board as to answering questions about his church's and his particular pastor's views on evolution, global warming, abortion, gay marriage, and benefits towards illegal immigrants.

Afterall, he doesn't just give a rare campaign speech there, he's a member there.

I'm with you! It's valid. Let's hear it!

And the simplistic and not well supported theory of reactionary politics based on fear of a changing world is also another elitist argument that comes from the 1960's. Sorry fellas, but being bold and facing the world with its challenges, possible failures and difficulties is what conservatism is all about....pulling oneself up by one's own bootstraps in a challenging and competitive environment without whining, worrying or being fearful is NOT what the leftist does....The leftist wants a world controlled and safe, like the babies crib, where outcomes are "fair" according to some wise person sitting in a ecru painted office.

The sad thing is that leftists actually believe they are forward thinking when in reality their philosophy is based on a debunked theory of sociology derived in the 19th century. Marxism denies basic facts about human nature and free will and from that flaw, crumbles.

So gents, please re-examine who is "afraid" and using "fear" in this campaign. It is the person who is crying OH MY GOD $4.00/GALLON GASOLINE, TIGERS AND BEARS OH MY! while saying the government will make your bumpered lined crib for you so you have NOTHING to think about, dear child!

Please....Mommy state from Obamessiah....WEEP, FAINT, WEEP AGAIN!

Silly Dr. Cee. If there were a Constitutional right to life, George W. Bush would be in prison for all of the people he executed in Texas, for all of the people he has killed in Afghanistan and Iraq and for all of the people who died prematurely for their inability to obtain medical care.

i heard that he used 'good night and good luck' as a closer...so, i ranted...and i ranted hard...

Last night Keith went back to his obsession with Bill O'Reilly by making him the WPITW twice.

Keith stated that Bill said the question asked by Tim Russert about the Farrakhan's endorsement of Obama is boring, tedious and does the country no good.

"But then Bill proceeded to talk about the subject 6 minutes then 2, then 2, etc.. for a total of 12 minutes."

Jee, I remember when Keith had show on the John McCain NYT story where he even questioned was it a story or not, FOR A WHOLE HOUR!!

So he did a story of a non-story for a whole hour, and he criticizes Bill for 12 minutes?

The Huffington Post posted a blog critizing Russert for the Farrakhan question as well. I haven't seen Keith name the Huffington Post WPITW.

I agree that Farrakhan question was stupid, come on Keith admit it.
And this is just another of a long line of examples as to when Keith criticizes Bill, you just can't take it seriously.
Which puts Keith's integrity into question.

I'm not saying Bill doesn't deserve the WPITW, I'm saying Keith is just doing it for the ratings,
    Which makes him even worse.

Today Angelina Jolie "Sees Benefit in U.S. Surge in Iraq"

First a movie Star agreeing with a Republication stance, is a story within itself.
I wonder how Sean Penn, Michael Moore, etc... feel about this?
Will Keith make her the WPIW Tonight?

Agree or disagree with Angelina, because of her Humanitarian experience and her time in Iraq, her opinions have to be taken under consideration.

The Huffinton Post has her story on Iraq on their site and the liberals are ripping her up.
Post after post, one insulting thing after another is said about her.

She's not advocating the war in Iraq, she just wants to help the country for humanitarian reasons and the movie star loving liberals hate her for it.

Has anyone ever seen me say anything in support or praise of the Clintons? No, their tactics have exhibited gutter-level racism. Similarly on your NAFTA point; Free-Marketeer Bill Clinton betrayed his base and the country with that agreement and others.

But Clinton is goiing to lose to Obama, with my small measure of support, largely because of their crude race-baiting, so your criticisms are moot.

...but can't anyone read? I did not complain in the least about what Cuningham said - he is a buffoon that no one should take seriously. I only expressed my pleasure and amusement at the disaster the decision to hand the mike to Willy has proven to be for the McCain campaign.

Don't you see the irony? McCain may well have been sincere in his rejection and denunciaton of Cunningham, and bravo to him for that uncharacteristic act, but it was way too late. The initial decision made by his bumblefuck fascist operatives (like Mike DeWine, my ex-senator) to enlist the aid of this reactionary celebrity with a proudly bizzarre and psychotic on-air persona has totally bit them in the ass.

Don't you see? Cunningham supported McCain enthusiastically one day, and the next he is bitter critic on one of the most neoconservative, corporation-worshiping radio show in one of the most conservative markets in the country. Its priceless!

The far right, and group think. One of the truly interesting phenomena one still comes across when dealing with the hardcore Bush supporter is the group dynamics. Now, in- groups and out-groups are well known phenomena in psychology. Many studies have demonstrated that a person will tend to sympathize with a member of his own group over that of another. For instance. If a French citizen is kidnapped by a foreign government Americans might think that is wrong but their level of outrage would be much greater if an American citizen were kidnapped by that same foreign power. This is all relatively normal and probably ties to evolutionary survival (Not that the far right believes in evolution anyway)

Still in cases of the far right it is far more extreme and frankly interesting, to see this taken to a an almost dangerous degree. So how does this manifest itself and why is it dangerous if it is human? The obvious answers become readily clear if one posts disagreement to a far right blog. Say for instance on a hate filled anti-Olberman site. If one were, for example, to post on such a site, that one wasn’t actually offended by a portion of what Keith said or insuated that Keith might have made a valid point on a particular issues usually a backlash of some kind will occur.

Now where the group things comes in depends on how the backlash comes. Usually it comes in two phases. In the first phase you are often engaged by the smarter members of the far-right. The far-right like all groups has varying degrees of intelligence (although usually no variance is noted in degree of extremism) The smarter members of the far right will on occasion respond with an explanation on why they disagree with you (Note: They will never ever ever agree with you no matter what the point if it is a point against the far right) This disagreement will occasional include an ad hominem attack or two, even if you posted none of your own (olbyloon, chicken blogger are common examples) After that phase II of the attack comes from the stupider bloggers. As you go back and forth in your discussions with the more intelligent members of the far right. The stupider members of the far right will not address any of your points and will instead attack you directly. (Names like asshat or p**ssy are examples)

Now here is where the group dynamic comes in. When you respond to the more personnel attacks by the stupid members of the far right, the smarter members will always (without exception) side against you. One would think a fellow smart person would at least in he case of childish insults side with others of equal intelligence. This rarely happens though and as members of their far right in-group the smarter members will always side the stupid ones.

The danger of course is that you get group-think over reason. Party over country and other common occurrences you often see with the far right.

Only a partisan hack would claim it only happens on the "far right." Barock concerts are the most recent example that comes to mind. The analysis of the stupid members of the far right. Of all the subjects I have talked about without a doubt the most interesting is analyzing the stupidest members of the far right.

Now as I have stated before the far right like all groups has varying degrees of intelligence but there is something truly special about a right wing simpleton versus a normal simpleton. Something about them that makes them immune to realizing their own stupidity.

Often it will manifest itself in their attacks. The stupidest members of the right often with supreme confidence will support a ridiculous position with no thought reason or evidence. In one case of my experience one of the absolute dumbest of all the right wingers I had ever encountered, a man with no GED who trained horses for a living, posted a question asking if I was tired of being wrong. The subject in question was my assertion that the far right tends to disbelieve in evolution.

His assertion that I was wrong implies that Cee and others in fact do believe in evolution. That he himself believes in evolution. Since that wasn’t his purpose it demonstrates a wanton lack of intelligence and ability to not see ones errors. It is an alarming trend that such people are allowed to vote as their arguments often show they have no judgment at all.

"did I not tell you about Pierre Teilhard de Chardin?"

I will likely (and rightly) have this off topic comment deleted, but I will answer when asked a question about my beliefs.

Yes, and I recall after having enlightened you to how far off the deep end he had gone (to the point of incomprehensibility), you stated something to the effect that even great minds drop a turd now and then. I did recognize your point about the Church not denying the possibility of evolution as science progresses.

I believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church, which does not exclude science. I am not denying the existence of other human-like creatures, but they did not walk with God and have a close bond with Him as Adam and Eve did or have immortal souls capable of reasoning. Adam and Eve had preternatural gifts that we lost as a result of their disobedience. Humans (offspring of Adam and Eve with immortal souls) did not come about by chance. I don't deny the existence of some kind of evolutionary process, but it cannot oppose the truths of the Church. (Maybe the soul was infused after some kind of evolution, but only infused into two people: Adam and Eve, my speculation only). There are great minds that believe in intelligent design who can explain far better than I. The exact of amount of time that elapsed for creation is irrelevant. Time was created for man. Was one day twenty-four hours? Irrelevant. After all, God is God. He could accomplish as much as He wanted to in one day and make it appear as if millions of years passed. Or, He could have let millions of years elapse before continuing His creation. Irrelevant for salvation.

To answer Loin's request I expand on Obamessiah's contradictory ideology....

Read his autobiography and find specifically the words, "My Lord Jesus Christ," Loin. Remember, when a person professes faith in Jesus Christ they are confirming belief in a supernatural event called the resurrection. There is out there somewhere, a living and breathing person who was once dead. That confirmation also means the person relies on the scriptures as the source of authority to what Christ taught....you know....the stuff printed in red in some bibles.....

    So, lets examine Obamessiah's faith.....

He, like many leftists, have no problem applying the following through government program and mandate.....

"I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."

Fine...left for interpretation perhaps Christ wanted government programs to serve the poor in all of their needs with no personal influence or "love" or commitment from the giver....I'll let him believe that farce.....

    But what about this dandy.....

But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple area, "Hosanna to the Son of David," they were indignant.

"Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him.

"Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read,

"'From the lips of children and infants
    you have ordained praise'?"

The passage Christ quotes from is from Psalm 8.....a passage that proclaims man's relationship to God as paramount and supreme...a special relationship that the hebrew scriptures outlined....even to the unborn "creature" is Jehovah known and reflected...read the Psalms....

Including the unborn....within the depths of the womb is the living soul praising God.....Ah....but how does Obamessiah vote as a US Senator....

NO...on the infants born alive act......

    NO....on partial birth abortion restrictions.....

NO....on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions

The overwhelming sentiment of the public is to at least afford protection to a newborn infant able to survive outside the womb in accordance to what Roe v. Wade stated YET Obamessiah sides with the radical left in standing against such measures. The teachings of the bible are clear in regard to innocent life and man's respect for it but the conflicted Obamessiah seems ready to ignore such teachings.

So on one fundmanetal issue of a right given by God as stipulated in The Declaration of Independence...our nation's founding document, Obamessiah decides to side with the dull secularists and ignore a basic teaching of his proclaimed lord....Wow....living with such cubby-holes in the brain that result in two totally different outcomes....Life and death......good for him.

So Loin....as I evaluate a candidate, especially one with a publically pronounced belief that someone was raised from the dead and is his Lord and savior.....it tickles me to see you, the rational and secular, throw your support behind him....especially as he imitates the preacher on Sunday during his rallies!......For me.....in the further evaluation, the contradiction in worldview is disturbing and telling of what kind of leader he may be....one I would have a very difficult time trusting to do the moral thing.

    As I said before, chill.

You need to put Pierre Teilhard de Chardin in his historical context, so you can understand the importance of his contribution to the catholic church.

Here you have a Jesuit Priest, a paleontologist, that goes to the Vatican and tells them, "Just tell us all what the fuck are these bones?"

That's were dogma clashes with science. I don't recall the exact figure, and for sure I'll be flamed, but read somewhere that mankind and some apes share about 97% of the same DNA.

"Intelligent design?" Sooooooo freaking intelligent that the earth had to be flooded and a pair of each species had to be saved on the ark.

    Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

And on an amusing political front that shows the House democrat leadership is the lame duck and W continues to do what he wants under the authority and protection of The US Constitutiuon...

"Attorney General Michael Mukasey refused Friday to refer the House's contempt citations against two of President Bush's top aides to a federal grand jury. Mukasey said White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten and former presidential counsel Harriet Miers committed no crime."

I'll vote for McCain before I vote for a fraud. If McCain is close in California, I'll pull that lever. Otherwise I am going with Nader."

"Lovely. Another superstitious idiot who wants his finger on the Big Button."

    ###
    I couldn't go on.....

wannawipe, I have known Obamessiah was a born-again Christian since I read AUDACITY OF HOPE a year ago! The ignorant e-mails going around suggesting he was a Muslim were never believed by the well informed and the use of his middle name, Hussein, seems more a distraction and sensitive issue on Obamessiah's part than his political foes....look at John McCain's reaction to it all and the RNC's.

I am simply pointing out the contradictions in his professed faith in following a risen Savior who has specific things in teachings regarding life as well as the seemingly silly reaction by the secular left to his faith in "bronze age superstition." Now with the rational secularist Ralph Nader in the mix, I would assume the radical left would do the principled thing and change their support!

The contradictions in his ideology only cause rational people to wonder what he truly believes in. Does he believe in a true resurrection or does he not? Did Jesus perform miracles? Is Jesus the Son of God? Does God know us and do we know Him when we are in the womb? When does life begin? Is the natural world only present as a result of Darwinian evolution?

Are you interested in Obamessiah's answers to these questions, wannawipe?

NELSONVILLE, Ohio - Democrat Barack Obama says he's tired of questions about his religion.

Anyone who thinks I'm a racist needs to shut the hell up. I am so NOT racist.

What's the matter, darpower, can't refute any of my posts so you have to play your little namejacking game? Is that the best you can do? Pathetic.

What proof of a name jacking do you have, Jeff/Royal King/Olby S***s? Besides, it isn't relly your name, is it?

This is absolutely RICH! A hardcore olbyloon that just can't bring himself to type out the name of OLBY SUCKS! It gets no better.....

Oh, one more thing. I'll have all the proof I need when your posts are deleted, namejacker.

I hope weasels don't get banned because I would miss you, Jeff.

If they did, you wouldn't be here, weasel.

Indeed, Jeff, the site would shut down altogether if weasels were banned. The Gang of Five Dr. Cee, the Factor would be just distant memories. A half dozen weasels and one for the pot.

You'd certainly be out one mulberry bush, monkey.

Well, for one thing "OLBY SUCKS" is not really a name.

However, it describes it's user quite well.
