Once again Keith is piling on AFTER the fact, just like he did with Imus. He's suddenly appalled at the behavior. Frankly I didn't think the language was a major offense. He was trying to say the Clintons were using Chelsea. But since he's supposed to be a professional in using words, that's why he's hired as a broadcaster, the act was inappropriate. He needed a reprimand, but that act was tame next to Olbermann's in the past. But then again it apparently was not just one action, but rather a list from Shuster that I'm seeing around the blogs, so the suspension is fair.

So what about Olbermann's "list"? When we he be held accountable for his outrageous sexist, racist and mysognistic comments? But after the knee-pad Monica Lewinsky moment he had on last night's broadcast at least we know he CAN whore. . uhm--apologize.

Where is the outrage from MSNBC about David? John Gibson should have fun with this and he should milk it for what it's worth.

The greedy, corrupt, amoral TV network sacrificed news anchor Howard "I'm Mad As Hell" Beale to the Gods Of Ratings by letting the "Mad Prophet Of The Airwaves" say and do anything on the air.

It took two years for the new cable TV networks to start slip slidin' away. The seminal (no pun intended) event was the 1998 Clinton/Lewinsky sex scandal. The wall-to-wall news coverage of the 1994 O.J. Simpson slow speed freeway police pursuit and the subsequent murder trial provided a glimmer of what was to come.

With the suspension of MSNBC's David Shuster for his on-air Chelsea Clinton comments, it behooves the TV news industry to conduct an inventory of standards and practices.

To invoke a Clintonesque phrase: It's time to end "the politics of personal destruction." Journalism has been jettisoned in pursuit of ratings.

It is time to reign in the likes of Fox News Bill O'Reilly, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews and rewrite the attendant philosphy, practices, and standards banning no-holds-barred slander.

It is time to call a truce between warring cable TV networks, and show hosts. New ground rules must be enacted to set clear boundaries governing appropriate and inappropriate on-air behavior, opinion and analysis.

The David Shuster incident is opening the door for network news management to collectively agree that enough is enough and declare a truce to restore television news to the level of credibility the networks - and viewers - deserve. To invoke a diplomatic term: peaceful coexistence.

But I don't think it will happen.

I've seen MSNBC take this to a lower level with Keith nothing has been done abut him.

It seems as if MSNBC has invested a lot to make Keith their spokesman and I don't think they'll give that up any time soon.

David "Karl Rove will be indicted and Dennis Hastert will resign" Shuster alleges (with no evidence, of course): "all Americans" are "proud" of Chelsea Clinton, and "all of us" "respect" Chelsea Clinton. I never miss one of your broadcasts, if I am out I always record it and watch later. I used to look forward to David Shusters commentary, hs seemd so insightful and "in the know". His latest comments about Chelsea Clinton have changed my mind about his impartiality.

I will be very disappointed if he doesn't make your worst person list for his comments. I know O'reilly would be number one if he had made such an insensitive remark, let's see how objective you really are.

Shuster is "Mitt" out of luck. Olby is obviously scared "Mittless" over the whole incident. Will Shuster be "Mitting" his pants till he gets back to work? I guess it was fun to call Romney " Willard Mit Romney" until Keith decided it was more Murrowesque to rhyme Romneys first name with fecal matter. Also Olby used the word 'scatology' the other night. Russert and Brokaw must be beaming with pride.

After Shuster gets fired, Fox News should hire him for RedEye to get goofed on and to bring John Gibson his coffee.

To me the best part was Scarborough's smackdown of Shuster. Joe's voice was so filled with anger you can just picture him on the other end of the phone clenching his fists. Shuster is such a tool. Why would I acknowledge your specious non-point?

That fact that trolls write posts meant to inflame and to divert from the owner's topic does not mean that every post that inflames someone or that is a diversion from the specified blog topic is written by a troll.

You argument is similar to saying: Fashion models are beautiful women and men, therefore beautiful women and men are fashion models.

You're engaging in a classical error of logic.

If you have any curiosity about which error, I suggest YOU look up the fallacy and learn something.

you should address my point point because it is the only chance you have to prevent yourself from looking like either a hypocrite or a moron. Because only by being one of the two would that explain your inability to judge by your own criteria.

Also To accuse me of commiting a logical fallacy shows a wanton ignorance of logical fallacies in general. I am using the criteria you set forth, neither adding to, or deleting from it. If you disagree with that critera then you disagree with the very definition you presented as to what makes a person a troll.

There was no fallacy in what I presented and you are in error, again probably becuase of one of the two reasons I listed above.
