Source for Keith Olbermann's "Pimping" Quote: Special Education Komment, Sept 20, 2007:
But Mr. Bush, you have hidden behind the General's skirts, and today you have hidden behind the skirts of 'the planted last question' at a news conference, to indicate once again that your presidency has been about the tilted playing field, about no rules for your party in terms of character assassination and changing the fabric of our nation, and no **right** for your opponents or critics to as much as **respond**.
That, Sir, is not only un-American -- it is dictatorial.
And in **pimping** General David Petraeus, Sir, in violation of everything this country has been assiduously and vigilantly against for 220 years, you have tried to blur the gleaming **radioactive** demarcation between the military and the political, and to portray **your** party as the one associated with the military, and your opponents as the ones somehow antithetical to it.

Good stuff J$! It would be funny to make a rap "song" with Shuster & Keith saying "pimping" over and over again to a cool hip hop beat. Have some grahics with the dynamic duo as ganstas, and you've got an instant you-tube hit.
MSNBC: Stop Sniping at Hillary by Paul Levinson February 9, 2008 at 16:04:48
"...Keith Olbermann is no angel in his attitude towards Hillary Clinton, either. When Olbermann attacks Rush Limbaugh by constantly calling him a "comedian," we all laugh. Olbermann's tick-like verbal attacks and facial expressions are usually welcome when they are directed at Fox News. But they have no place in supposedly even-handed coverage of a Presidential campaign. And although Olbermann is not as out there against Hillary Clinton as is Matthews, his comments about her are all too often studded with sarcasm and derision..."

I really, REALLY hope that Keef (and those "in charge" as MSDNC) watch this and realize just what a tool he is!
Learned from papa didn't he?
See ya friggin later you big mouth (literally) democrat water carrying rumpswab. To think msdnc used to put this left-wing ninny on to fill in for Tucker, the only true Republican on the channel. Good word for him Obama-Rama; TOOL. A PATHETIC FRIGGIN TOOL!!!!
Olbermann is a whore for the clintons.
Wow, Olby's minions are leaving by the dozens. Many "fair well" posts. Just came back from the news hole to see if my post of Olby's "pimp" comment made the cut. Guess what, it didn't! Shocker!
To quote Flounder in Animal House...
"Oh Boy, this is GREAT"
What an awesome find and brilliant clip.
Olbyhypocracy to the nth degree.
Yeah, Olby, that Slippery Shuster has keen insight alright. It is hilarious to watch Bathman grovel at the feet of the Clintons on behalf of his sidekick. MSDNC=Comedy Central.
Kudos to J$ and Bob for their efforts to expose the hypocrisy during this latest outrage from MSDNC. It's always something (rotten) at 30 Rock.
Why wasn't Olbermann wearing his blue dress and knee pads? Will we get to see David Shitster write Hitlery a check on air? What's the over and under on when Shitster get fired?
"If you don't like it, then you are worse than Hitler!"
I just LOLed

What's ironic about this is the spolbyloons have no problem with it! Sad, but, true!
Morning Joe and Mika are rowing
Shuster and Imus aren't going
Back on cable TV
A Mess NBC
What's up with that network and "ho"-ing?
RK - you are right - the comments at the Newshole are entertaining to say the least. Keith is going to have to do another Kos blog to feel the love (and feed his ego). Some of the regulars are even angry and speaking of rebellion. Check it out.
MSLSD should pinkslip the quarreling Scratch and Mika from "Morning Joe". They'd be left with Willie Geist. Morning Willie.
I took RK's advice and checked out the Newshole. Olby, your faithful have turned on you. MSDNC probably will shut the board down due to negative comments about the Olberpology and NBC's bias. If the moonbats think that NBC is biased, then that should tell you all you need to know about the disaster that is A-Mess-NBC. The rats are jumping off the Good Ship Meltdown. Here's a link.

Keith Olbermann has been calling people monkeys, "fat ass", "deplorable", and accusing the President of watching cartoons AND of masterminding an fascist take-over of U.S. institutions....
Welcome, to OW, Mrs. Clinton...
You are SO right, Cecilia! The notion that our Commander-in-Chief could ever, EVER watch cartoons AND mastermind a fascist takeover of US institutions is RIDICULOUS!
Bush could never be torn away from SpongeBob; the fascist planning would have to happen on the commercial breaks or SOMEbody's gonna be TESTY!
CNN's Gregoire/Obama weirdness
by kos
Sat Feb 09, 2008 at 04:14:20 PM PST
So this is weird. I've gotten several emails about it, but apparently, while conducting a live feed with CNN reporter Jessica Yellin in Washington, she was heard trying to decide whether they should do an interview with the state's governor Christine Gregoire. Apparently, thinking her mike was turned off, she's hear say, ""Do you want to do it (the interview) live or just tape it for us?" Pause "Well, she's for Obama, that's the problem."
Now, there are two ways to look at this. The Obama partisans claim this is proof that CNN is biased against their candidate. The more plausible explanation is that CNN is sensitive about putting candidate surrogates on the air because of fears of being accused of bias. Or maybe they want to balance out the surrogates and already had filled their Obama surrogate quota.
Regardless, this is troubling enough that CNN needs to explain itself.
Wow, I didn't read down to the bottom, but from what I did read there's not a single positive comment on that Newshole board!
Wonder if it's a busy weekend at MSNBC?
CNN political director Sam Feist explains:
The point she was making is that since the governor has endorsed a candidate, Jessica was making sure that the producers were comfortable putting on a surrogate for one side when there wasn't a surrogate for the other side speaking live at that caucus as well.
Thanks for playing.
The kos kiddie sucks it up! Hook, line and sinker........

No way! Commericial breaks are reserved for thwarting 9/11 memorials.

Ripped from the huffpo......also noticed a Hillary hit piece at the top of the page...TDF!!!!
During the day, while CNN was covering the ongoing voting via "Ballot Bowl" and Fox News was doing the same with "You Decide 2008," MSNBC was running taped programming like "Sex Slaves in America" and "Lockup: Holman" and "Born in the Wrong Body," up until 6pm when Tim Russert's show began, followed by a taped documentary on the career of Hillary Clinton, narrated by Lester Holt.
2:02, thank you for displaying your moonbat tendencies and limited vocabulary skills.
RK, every year NBC cuts the amount of live news programming on MSNBC. Within a few short years, if that network is still around, it will broadcast nothing but Lock-Up specials 24/7. What's twisted is that those specials will get better ratings than the slanted spinfest "news" the network currently delivers.
O'Reilly's O'Rectal O'Rangers. You guys are funny!
I also recall the apology that Olbermann had to make after the producers placed a caption of Senator David Vitter's wife that had a "ho" reference in it. "Fashion ho-pas" it read.
A few other incidents by him are referenced here:
http://www.mediabistro.com/fishbowlny/scandals/countdowns_ho_graphic_olbermanns_done_this_sort_of_thing_before_63387.asp
MSNBC has a rather lengthy list of juvenilia being broadcast. Shuster's is just the latest.
I forgot about that one, Steve....And as I have been posting since Friday....anytime Musto appears, Olbermann becomes the nerdy teenager who has to chortle at any oral sex or prostitution reference uttered by the creepy guest....
Creepy, creepy Musto....a regular on COUNTDOWN!
NBC News must be so proud!
You asked, we deliver. I've added a link (above) for an mp3 Ringtone of "Pimped Out".
1:52 must be a musto fan. Shocker!
Right where he feels at home.
I've always wondered what Olbermann had on Phil Griffin to get away with what he has. But maybe Phil is tired of protecting these juveniles, or else can no longer do so and keep his own job.
for a minute there I thought Olbermann had put this together and was being ironic - expressing his displeasure at the Clinton's reaction. I didn't realize that someone had taken the time to put this together and that Olbermann was SERIOUS!
Brilliant. I am dense but the vid is brilliant.

Olbermann and his MSNBC colleagues don't need anything on Phil Griffin.... they need only to stick to addressing slurs, slights, and insinuations solely towards folks on the Right.
RK, the twerpy little creep, 1:52, has also been flushed down the crapper to join his friends and family!

Grammy, I had been thinking that it's the Broken Window Theory of order that has been brought to OW, but I like your analogy better...
Someone at OW brought up KO and his comments about Jenna Bush on Dec 5.. So I googled the two and came across this transcript from MSNBC. It is very long but completely relevant to KO.
From: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15952042/
In his leering salacious best KO brought up the last item in his 'countdown of the day's top news stories'.
"How to get out of another mess. Not just another male pill, but a male pill that restores fertility within a day and can claim no sperm were killed during the making of this pill.
This is not a segue, but were the Bush twins asked to leave Argentina? And what about these twins in best friendship? The battle to be America‘s bad girls analyzed, as only he can do it, by TV personality and presidential historian Mo Rocca."
He starts the story:
"OLBERMANN: It‘s rare when the world of politics and the world of entertainment fit together as neatly as they do in our number one story in the COUNTDOWN tonight. A tale of two pairs of girls, all of them in their mid 20‘s, all of them famous, all of them providing rich fodder for the tabloids with their latest exploits. In a moment the phenomenon of Paris Hilton and her new sidekick, Britney Spears.
But first Jenna and Barbara Bush. They have regained their party girl crowns thanks to reports from their 25th birthday celebrations in Argentina this weekend. After reports of lack security, a media frenzy and at least one lurid tale in the Argentine papers about the girls running naked down a hallway of their hotel, denied fervently by that hotel, by the way, ABC News reported the situation was so bad that the U.S. embassy asked the girls to leave, which the embassy fervently denies, by the way.
But even though the twins were meant to stay in Buenos Aires until Thursday, according to ABC News at least one, Barbara, is already back in the U.S. and that report, very flimsily backed up by the website Galkers Tip Line For Celebrity Spotting, GalkerStalker, which reports that Ms. Bush was seen with an unnamed man eating Oysters in the west village of New York City last night. No word on whether Jenna Bush is likewise cutting her holiday short or having oysters.
Perhaps she is heading to southern California where the ultimate party girls are now hanging out. Somehow, since she announced her impending divorce from Kevin Federline, Britney Spears has become B.F.F. with Paris Hilton, and yes, with the less hip, that is short hand for Best Friends Forever, they tell me. Hilton and Spears have been inseparable for weeks now, spotted at trendy nightclubs in Vegas and L.A., drinking, smoking, staying out all nigh, and apparently even making peace with Hilton‘s nemesis, the actress Lindsay Lohan.
Paris Hilton‘s P.R. guy says that the whole—what would the couple name here be? Parispears, Britris, anyway, he says, the friendship is real, telling the website TMZ.com that the two are like sisters and that Spears is extremely grateful for Hilton‘s friendship, that she considers the heiress to be a role model, which might explain Ms. Spears‘ new wardrobe, extreme cleavage, short skirts, underwear optional.
On that note, who better to analyze this strange confluence of girls behaving badly than television personality and author of “All the President‘s Pets,” Mo Rocca. Good evening Mo, thanks for your time."
As if that wasn't enough slime for KO, he and MR go on together:
"MO ROCCA, TELEVISION PERSONALITY: Good evening Keith, thank you.
OLBERMANN: We‘ll get to the new BFFs in a moment, but let‘s start with the first twins and this rampage through Argentina. You have met the Bush daughters and you know your White Houses. Are these the kind of women who would do things like run around in a hotel naked?
ROCCA: No, certainly not. Look, we have to remember the expression running around in a hotel naked in Argentina is an example of magical realism, a technique that‘s common in Argentinean literature and journalism. The translation here is they were running around topless. It is simply that. The same press account said that Jenna, the blonde one, was so beautiful that she exploded into flames of fire. Now, granted they were drinking a lot, so they were highly flammable perhaps, but this is hyperbole.
OLBERMANN: The embassy, the U.S. embassy has denied that anybody asked the twins to leave Argentina, but given that Barbara Bush has already been spotted back in the U.S., does that mean someone pulled the rug out from under the party? I mean, if not the Secret Service, then maybe their dad. Or is he blaming their behavior on al Qaeda in Iraq, or what?
ROCCA: Well, no, it‘s true that Barbara, the brunette, has already been extradited. So once Jenna comes home the pullout from Argentina will be complete. The president is blaming, actually, Argentina‘s Democracy, because the former Peron regime, of course, was much more red-state friendly. They would have embraced the Bush twins and not let them go home, actually. You know, I would say that—let me also clarify that this sighting you‘re talking about on Galker, it did say, and I have it right here, that Barbara Bush was sucking down oysters and making out with some guy. This is actually in reference to former first lady Barbara Bush. Right, and we should remember that oysters, of course, are an aphrodisiac, especially after a couple of vodka stingers.
OLBERMANN: I don‘t have anything to say after that. No, in touch with Argentina, do we get the Falklands. Is there any kind of trade here?
ROCCA: Perhaps that would be great, I love that. That‘s great.
Argentina has great food. We should all make a trip down there.
OLBERMANN: One more on this thing here. Is the solution for the White House in dealing with the P.R. fallout from the first daughters‘ antics, keep them in Crawford until January of 2009?
ROCCA: Well, I have one recommendation, a one word recommendation, Broadway. As you said, I have met the Bush twins. They are both actually very, very nice. The blonde one, Jenna, is bubbly. She has an easy laugh. The brunette, Barbara, is a little bit more serious, a little bit brooding, I would say. And so it occurred to me that they would be great in a Broadway production of Wicked, the two of them together.
Jenna as the blond, sort of the good witch Glinda (ph), and Barbara as the brooding Elphaba (ph), who becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, but of course is not all bad. Because they have very, very complicated lives. And it‘s a very popular musical, so it would run forever, and it would keep them out of trouble, except on Monday‘s when the theater‘s dark and then they could go ballistic, go nuts.
OLBERMANN: There is a tradeoff for the matinees on the weekends. Turning to these other girls gone wild. Did Britney Spears trade up or trade down by swapping Kevin Federline for her new pal Paris Hilton?
ROCCA: Well I think neither. I think she traded dangerously. I mean, I think that this is a troubling alliance, if you will. It is a non-aggression pack between these two major powers. And I think a lot of people are comparing it really to the fast friendship between Iraq‘s al-Maliki and Iran‘s Ahmadinejad. Now what you have is Britney‘s Iraq seeking guidance and protection from Paris‘s Iran. And it seems to make sense. They are both, well, Shiite, as in blonde in this case.
But this has the potential to really upset the whole balance of young Hollywood here. You have got the Nicole Richie insurgency, which is really going to be aggravated. You‘ve got K-Fed and the Kurds. Who knows what they are going to do in Turkey. Lindsay Lohan in Syria and then Mary Kate and Ashley, who, of course, sort of are surrogates for the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. It‘s a pretty dangerous situation right here.
So I would be very careful moving ahead. Paris has clearly much grander motives here. I think she wanted to dominate the TMZ, if you will. I mean, I think she wants to co-op and eventually destroy Britney.
OLBERMANN: I‘d like to point out for the record that you have gotten away with the phrase, Britney‘s Iraq. And on that note, television personality Mo Rocca, and somehow the title of your book, “All the President‘s Pets.”
ROCCA: And by the way, not wearing underwear and flashing your crotch is strictly against Islamic law.
OLBERMANN: Thank you. The “All the President‘s Pets” title seems to have taken on new meaning as we were told on our visit tonight. Thank you sir, always a pleasure.
That‘s COUNTDOWN for this the 1,305th day since the declaration of mission accomplished in Iraq. Reporting from Los Angeles, I‘m Keith Olbermann, good night and good luck."
I think David Shuster was waaaaay out of line with his choice of words but not the idea that he meant. He has been suspended, almost fired and maybe still will be fired. I think the suspension is in order if nothing else but to make him act professionally about and towards everyone, not just Dems and Chelsea Clinton.
This by KO about Repubs/Bush twins slipped on by with no protest at all. This by KO and MR was not just one phrase out of an hour such as Shuster got hung by. This was a long, and probably scripted to one degree or another, segment that is nothing more than a very soft pornographic hit piece on a sitting President and his daughters.
Grammie
You know I had not seen that particular segment. I would say it is shocking, especially considering the Chelsea Clinton matter. In the case of Chelsea, Shuster was trying to be hip, using a term meant to convey "shamelessly promoting" or "shamelessly using". The reaction to what Shuster did started out being appropriate but has now gone overboard - Hillary's letter where she REFUSES to accept Shuster's apology is the moment where this story "jumped the shark".
In the case of the Bush girls Olbermann is actively discussing the two girls being naked, being topless, being drunk, using aphrodisiacs, etc. All in the context of Paris and Britney at the height of their no underwear days.
There really is no comparison as to which is worse - Keith's comments were pre-planned (what, you think those "jokes" are spontaneous?) and went on and on on. Shuster may have planned using the the term "pimped out" but he clearly did not mean to say that Chelsea was being treated like a hooker by her mother, he used the term once and dropped it, the statement was brief...and...oh yeah...he apologized.
If we could come up with the video I think your comment would merit its own post.
This is actually very typical Olbermann. If you watched his rant against Imus (available in our YouTube Channel) he listed a series of things that upset him about Imus and his crew that Keith himself has done.
Keith slams Imus for making fun of people along "sexual, racial, ethnic, or homophobic jokes".
Of course, OlbyWatch has documented NUMEROUS examples of Keith doing exactly the same thing - sexual (e.g., Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, etc.), ethnic (e.g. Chris Wallace, Alberto Gonzales, Bill Richardson, etc.), homophobic (e.g. Anderson Cooper)
Even better Keith ends his "Evil Imus" litany by scolding Imus for having driven a woman to tears. Regular readers will know that Keith famously did this to Suzy Kolber while an ESPN, a big part of why he is persona non grata at the sports network.
For you OlbyLoons FanGirls who struggle to accept Keith's misogynistic history, read it and weep..
http://www.salon.com/news/sports/col/olbermann/2002/11/17/meaculpa/print.html
"...my ESPN2 co-host, Ms. Kolber, sequestering herself in the women's bathroom and weeping over how I treated her..."
If we have any shrinks in the house perhaps they can explain why Keith focuses his outrage about the behavior of others on those things that he himself does. Would it be safe to say that this type of behavior is a manifestation of self-loathing? Or is he just a woman hater?
Would it be safe to say that this type of behavior is a manifestation of self-loathing? Or is he just a woman hater?

He's a former pasty faced, pencil necked, mama's boy, turned smug bully.
Grammy,
That's a great find. There's no doubt that the Bush twins have earned their reputations as party girls, but there's also been past reports in the press about Chelsea being helped into various vehicles after nights clubbing.
Olbermann would retreat to his bathtub for good rather than do a "Keeping Tabs" on THAT gossip...
I posted the juicy parts of Olbermahns rant at the news hole yesterday. Needless to say, it didn't get through the moderators. They probably held their hands over the eyes as they deleted it.

Amen. This fracas wouldn't have happened to a nicer guy....but it should have stopped with Shuster's seond apology.
It's just stupid groveling to Blue Blogs and Clinton now.
I reread what I copied just now and found something in it that I missed the first time. Caps are mine:
"You know, I would say that—let me also clarify that this sighting you‘re talking about on Galker, it did say, and I HAVE IT RIGHT HERE, THAT BARBARA BUSH WAS SUCKING DOWN OYSTERS AND MAKING OUT WITH SOME GUY. This is actually IN REFERENCE TO FORMER FIRST LADY BARBARA BUSH. RIGHT, AND WE SHOULD REMEMBER THAT OYSTERS, OF COURSE, ARE AN APHRODISIAC, ESPECIALLY AFTER A COUPLE OF VODKA STINGERS."
He is speaking of Mrs barbara Bush, not Miss Barbara Bush here.
How did someone saying that the former First Lady of the US and the mother of the current President of the US was "making out with some guy" after having consumed a couple of vodka stingers and oysters, that well known aphrodisiac.
Video or no video this should prompt something against both of these creeps.
Grammie
Janet,
That there was no media report over THAT statement tells you what you need to know about this incident - it is largely manufactured.
The Clintons are desperate. The story has been all about Bill and his use of racial codewords in South Carolina, and Hillary not putting Obama away on Super Tuesday, and now losing every state this weekend (so far). So, they are changing the narrative to how the media beats up on the poor Clintons.
What they are really doing is seeking to make anyone who criticizes Hillary Clinton radioactive - and don't be fooled. Shuster's point was that the Clinton's want to have their cake and eat it too with regards to Chelsea. She can actively campaign for her mother but she is a "child" and so its "hands off Chelsea". Last time I checked she was nearly 30. She's hardly a little girl anymore.
Let me join in the fun....
1/2/08 COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN
"OLBERMANN: And the premise on this, perhaps, dating a paparazzo is “if you can‘t beat ‘em, join ‘em”, so to speak?
"MUSTO: Oh, talk about sleeping with the enemy, this is like Olivia de Havilland sleeping with Joan Fontaine or Hillary with anybody. It‘s just ridiculous.
"OLBERMANN: All right, I‘ve got an Olivia de Havilland-Joan Fontaine reference. I‘ll close it out with Lindsay Lohan—three make-out sessions reported in 24 hours, three different guys. Is it refreshing that her sobriety has not impeded her joie de vive? Or, is she just figuring out that at least one of them had to have a drink and she didn‘t get a contact guy.
"MUSTO: Yes, she was sucking on her tongue a little too intensely. But it is amazing that it‘s just an energy drink and some Altoids—that kind that gets you zingy and have you scoring anything with facial hair, short of Queen Latiffa.
"OLBERMANN: That‘s right. Garron, give me a kiss and a lime. The one and only Michael Musto. Thanks, Michael.

Another example of excellence in broadcast journalism on MSNBC. At least Olbermann was SILENT about the crass Clinton comment by the creepy, creepy Musto.
Hillary is indeed desperate. Her "cry" count is up to 3 now. Yea, let's make her Commander in Chief.
Sorry I can't find the Mo Rocca/ Bush Twins segment in video but here's a link to the Paris Hilton line - very classy.
http://feministing.com/archives/005858.html#comments
If he really was sorry he would have met with Billy and dislocated his jaw...Keith's jaw and not because Billy used his fist.
I don't think that's outside of the realm of possibill-ity.
Wait, wait....one more wonderful exchange between the "Murrow of our generation" and creepy, creepy Musto.....
6/7/07.....
"OLBERMANN: It was 'Entertainment Tonight Online' that said that [Paris Hilton's] medical condition was an extreme rash. They were citing sources close to the family. TMZ.com insisted it‘s psychological. So what do we know, was it a rash or was she behaving rashly and near a nervous break down?
"MUSTO: Well, she‘s a walking petri dish. It could be anything. It could be genital herpes that spread to her brain. Oh no, that is her brain. No, I actually hear that they traumatized her in jail by coming at her with a hot dog. It wasn‘t the shape, it was just that it was food."

With people like Olbermann and Musto setting the professional tone, how can anyone not see that David Shuster's behavior is actually a reflection of MSNBC as a whole.
Good job, Olbermann!
"With people like Olbermann and Musto setting the professional tone, how can anyone not see that David Shuster's behavior is actually a reflection of MSNBC as a whole."
Geez, I remember saying things like this in Junior High School. Pathetic.
And all of this insightful dialogue taking place while, Olberman lectures us, Bush is single-handedly destroying the country. All of our rights are gone, the Constitution torn to shreds and the Republic in ruins.
So, says our Town Crier Keith Olbermann.
But old Keith has the time on his show to make smarmy jokes about Paris Hilton.
While the Republic is burning.
Yeah, Keith, I think you're a phony.
A smarmy one at that.
Shuster just experienced the Clintons in a way that he never expected to be applied to him. The Clintons don't care one iota about Chelsea's honor. They used this situation, as easily as they use people, to meet their objective: turn around the downward direction of the campaign. Shuster learned he is expendable. Maybe he can call up Scooter Libby and discuss how he was wronged.
There are so many levels of hypocrisy to this story that it is mind boggling. How long before the bathtub becomes Olbermann's place of residence?
Whatever you do, why, avoid all things olbermahn/slippery, ok?
Unbelievable -- what a rotten jerk Olbermann is!
Robert, I just wanted to alert you to the Clinton campaign apologists also preparing the Shuster story as a sympathy getter....Today's New York Times editorial page....The radical leftist, Paul Krugman.....
"And the latest prominent example came when David Shuster of MSNBC, after pointing out that Chelsea Clinton was working for her mother’s campaign — as adult children of presidential aspirants often do — asked, 'doesn’t it seem like Chelsea’s sort of being pimped out in some weird sort of way?' Mr. Shuster has been suspended, but as the Clinton campaign rightly points out, his remark was part of a broader pattern at the network.
"I call it Clinton rules, but it’s a pattern that goes well beyond the Clintons. For example, Al Gore was subjected to Clinton rules during the 2000 campaign: anything he said, and some things he didn’t say (no, he never claimed to have invented the Internet), was held up as proof of his alleged character flaws.
"For now, Clinton rules are working in Mr. Obama’s favor. But his supporters should not take comfort in that fact."

Krugman is in Clinton Cos. pocket....He is one of the most left writers at The New York Times....Oh how I love how Clinton Co. is trying to use the tasteless slip for sympathy points.
This is typical Clinton tactics...I doubt it will change anything and it seems more and more likely Obama is getting the nomination....When is the question as well as how much more money will have to be spent in the democratic primary.
Is he "literally, dredfully sorry" to the General?
Is he "literally, dredfully sorry" to the General?
Why can't David Shuster give a apology myself or dose he need Keith Olbermann to do it for him.
Bob, you have been mentioned in a Daily Kos diary. You must be very proud.
a kossack (and loon) fears KO will be shustered

You'd think the writer of that silliness would find the fact that Olbermann, himself, issued his own "Special Apology" for Shuster, in terms like "dreadfully sorry"...marginally more important than the writer seems to find it...
With all the writer's worry about Olbermann being shustered, he might want to ask himself why Olbermann is doing some shustering in his apology, why he felt that was necessary, and what audience Keith was trying to appease.
Cecelia - the author of that diary is a fan girl who "has Keith's bacK"
Basically Keith can do no wrong in that world.
Good catch, Cecelia....and oh, what a gander into a kossack's warped mind it is.....
You are right, the missed elephant in the room is Olbermann's own apology that seemed unecessary....He was trying to aid in damage control of his brand, MSNBC, period.
Oh the conflicted loyalties of our dear Edward R. Murrow....this may become intriguing enough for a mini-series on The Hallmark Channel.
Oh well....

Well, she's entitled to the opinion that Keith is the dreamiest man in the world. She and like-minded folks can get together and have Keithy-poo love fests, unimpeded by me.

Yeah, it must be hard balancing the territory of the MSNBC corporate media hierarchy, with those of Blue Blog zealots.... :D
It is only fitting that I am written about Daily Kos. I am an all-powerful leader of the vast right-wing conspiracy. Loop upon me awe. Fear me.

Heck, yes. Anyone who could mastermind a OW takeover of Playboy Magazine mail, is second only to Karl Rove in villainy super powers.
Uh, anon....Read my arguments....If private entities want to finacially back the use of embryonic stem cell research, fine....They will stand before the creator and answer for their choices just like you and me.
I do not think the government should fund the research....Ethically, I hold the government to a high standard and do not wish to go down the road of Nazi Germany where government scientists conducted unethical human experimentation.
I can assure you, I do not support with my funds, private entities that conduct unethical experiments...however my state has forced me and my fellow tax payers into supporting such atrocities.
The fight goes on.
No dear anon, I am ever optimistic that good will always triumph over wrong. People make choices, including me, and I know the difficulty in making decisions like whether to support research that has ethical challenges. But if one is rational and bases logic on firm foundations, (truth) one can be confident about the conclusion.
No one on this board has ever rebutted my conclusions regarding ESCR...no one. All the responces are like those above, unsupported attacks. It is a simple fact that private funding has and will be the best avenue for this likely worthless and tricky procedure, especially with the great successes with adult stem cell uses.
Fine. It only reinforces my confidence about my position. And even if the next chief executive reverses the right decision currently, I know that that does not change the truth that human experimentation is unnecessary and immoral.
I never get depressed about such things. I am amused by the contradictions in the secularist religious philosophies that rely on people being without hope.....That is what the flim flam artist is ready to take advntage of and that has always been the case in human history.
Fear, hopelessness, helplessness....the tools of the left....Compare and contrast that meassage to the one of hope, courage, fearlessness, opportunity and joy. I will be glad to anytime.
why, have you found the 70% that are against securing the border? Still looking?
My point was made by "vote republican," a post of fear, hopelessness and helplessness....
Well, I am sorry if I look out and see a much different world. A world of hope, opportunity and challenge....like it always has been.
No government program will change that fact.
No "sky is falling" leftist scare mongering will change that fact.
No arm-chair quarterback type leader will help us all to meet the challenges that we face as a society.
Principled and optimistic leaders need only apply, and the left seems to be lacking in such applicants.
The other type of leader...the one who abuses our differences, speaks to the fear of the future and uses the lowest common denominators in human nature to motivate.....the left has those in abundance....
With Clinton Co. the chief example.....
And the latest proof that Bush is still in power and doing the right thing for our nation....
The feckless anti-American left is failing to thwart the new FISA legislation....
Oh my....what will Olbermann say about the defeat tonight on COUNTDOWN?
So to those who say the republicans are "dead," why are they still getting almost everything they want?
