I was very disapproving of Shuster's comment originally. I still disapprove to the extent that such language and its connotation is beyond the pale and Shuster SHOULD have known it.

The phraseology that is appropriate to use with a bunch of guys gathered round the beer keg socially does not, and should not, find its way into a supposedly MSM exercise of the First ammendment.

I agree that this needed to be addressed.

I also think that using phrases such as "war monger", "liar", 'Fascist", "fear monger", "tyrant", "despot" "war profiteer" and "murderer" etc and etc by the same folks on the same so called NEWS channel needs to be addressed as seriously and as long term as this kerfufle re the Clinton family.

I don't think there's a prayer that anyone in the media will actually address the extreme hyperbolic nature of these comments, but perhaps someday....after the election... someone within that rank will address the MSNBC decision to make the person saying those things, co-host of its political coverage, as well as political analyst, and someone who must recuse himself from interviewing members of one of two of the political parties involved!

Shuster's mistake was simply thinking that what can be said about Republicans on MSNBC could also be said about Chelsea Clinton, simply because the far left demo the network targets is as angry with Bill and Hillary right now as they are with Republicans.

And on the flip side, the Clintons were mistaken when they thought the same time of "War Room" attacks they used against Bush 41 and others on the right could be used against Obama without any media blowback. They never in their wildest dreams thought they would face the same charges of 'dirty politics" that every Republican candidate has to endure when they make even the mildest criticism of their Democratic opponent. The Clintons' only saving grace is that unlike the Bushes, Bob Dole or others on th Republican side, there are still some Clinton supporters in high-up locations in the big media corporations, so they were able to make Shuster pay for his remark.

Well, thank you for this positive and uplifting message about the need to unite disparate elements and to have understanding of liberal, libertarian, conservative ideologies.

Though the argument that essentially states "agree with me or you're a pig, a liar, or a fascist" is an old one, perhaps they make this particular formulation into a bumper sticker real soon...

It's seems by that segment that Fox News is starting to fight back from the attacks made by MSNBC.

From morning to night MSNBC attacks Fox News, most of the times it feels extremely phony.
It's as if MSNBC made a decision to attack Fox News in order to get higher ratings.
I'm sure people that hate Fox News think it fair and they love it, but that gimmick loses it's interest and makes people that want real news stories flee to other channels.

MSNBC seems to hag on every word by Fox News, as if news is second.
They are obsessed with Fox News and it is time Fox starts firing back.

Keith calls Fox News a biases organization, but by only criticizing conservatives, Republicans and Fox News, what does that make Keith?

It makes him just as bad if not worse then what he criticizes.

cee, all you have to do is simply read the entire post to see just how uninformed and brainwashed the poster really is. It is a prime example of what happens to a person who only exposes themselves to far left news. If the same message is being presented on enough of the far left news outlets, it must be true, right?
