I think the Saturday Night Live skit of the black guy being found in the chicken and waffles place and then saying it's racist to have looked for him in a chicken and waffles place, pretty much sums up all this.

Keith Olbermann needs to be held accountable for a lot of what he says but a piece like this demeans conservatives by lowering ourlselves to the tawdry tactics that people such as Olbermann and most liberals use. We're better than this.

Yes, BOL we know what the Sieg Heil salute was about. This whole issue has been addressed many times on this site and the contentions by Olbermann that BOR "supports Nazis" have been shown to blatantly false.

I find myself agreeing with ANON. It is nice when we can find common ground. I doubt that either Olbermann or O'Reilly is racist or a Nazi sympathizer, although both can be insensitive. I agree that both are pompous and have inflated egos. However, there are two differences that I find important.

The first difference is that O'Reilly is willing to have people with alternative views on his show and Olbermann never does. I know that several people on this site attribute this to Olbermann being a coward, which may be true. I personally doubt that Olbermann is bright enough and fast enough to hold his own in a hostile debate environment. My evidence to support this contention is how poorly he handles live commentary following debates or during election coverage.

The second difference is that Olbermann's hypocrisy seems to know no bounds. He is literally a caricature of hypocrisy, ranting and raving about behaviors that are far more extreme and commonplace in his behavioral repertoire than in the person he is criticizing at the moment. How he can do it with a straight face is beyond me. I can only assume that he so totally lacks insight into his own behavior that he is oblivious to his own hypocrisy. Alternatively, he is simply a fraud, who will do anything for ratings.

A simple check with the transcript company (who do the transcripts, not Fox, and also do them for Olbermann and Countdown) revealed what really happened.

It's instructive that with all the evidence on one side you choose to call it a draw. That's on a par with Olbermoronn making it up in the first place and never correcting his lie even when the truth came out. It's probably the most disreputable aspect of Olbypologists: they refuse to blame their hero when he's caught in a lie, and won't even admit it IS a lie.

I'm not going to "hold my breathe", whatever that means, but Bosco sounds like a good idea.
