There is no Hour of Spin tonight, as all the news channels will be covering the Potomac Primaries. Whether you watch Wolf, that "monkey" Chris Wallace, or Fat Ass and the Drooler, use our valuable bandwidth to post your comments and reactions here.
To kick it off, this clip addresses a key controversy about the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann: why he is unfit to be anchoring tonight. Discuss and resolve...
UPDATE: Milwaukee Journal Sentinal agrees: Olbermann unfit to anchor election coverage.
It is great that Keith is on even more than one hour on these nights.. It would be far better if Keith would launch into a Special Comment
Fox News has an angry ideological right-winger anchoring their election coverage. His name is Brit Hume.
By the way, Johnny, check out the Fox News video vault lately? Take a look at Hannity & Colmes. Count up the Rep/Dem breakdown (Luntz, Gingrich, Rove, etc...) and then come back here and whine hysterically about how terrible it is a liberal has his own show at MSNBC.
Don't see any liberals with their own political shows on Fox.
It would be far better if Keith would launch into a Special Comment

Perhaps the topic "Campaign Coverage Anchors Who Must Recuse Themselves From Talking To Republicans", would be in order...
Hell, who would want to talk to a republican.. the only thing I would say to a republican is would you like a sack over your head before your neck snaps.
> It is great that Keith is on even more than one hour on these nights.. It would be far better if Keith would launch into a Special Comment
I would not be at all surprised to see KO launch into a crazed wild-eyed fire-spitting special comment. That would add to the entertainment value of election coverage, and would increase ratings so I'm sure it would be OK with MSNBC.

Well, if Brit Hume is an ideologue what would that make former Cuomo staffer Tim Russert or former Tip O'Neill staffer Chris Matthews then?
Brian Williams recently said it was hard for him to be objective about Obama.
At least none of these guys, including Hume, run a one-sided ideological fest whereby they must recuse themselves from interviewing members of one party, supposedly to protect their subjects...
Bill Olielley is a putz... with a sense of humor that has the intelligence factor of a fart joke. Way to dumb down big guy.
I'm watching Fox right now. I'm impressed with Karl Rove's contributions to these post-election broadcasts. He is excellent at analyzing election data. Rove and Michael Barone are masters at that game.
Karl and his white board have stolen the show. After the cable nets have spent all that dough on flashy graphics and sets, on comes Karl Rove with a small white board, a set of markers and mad skillz.

So you'd have the same conversion with them as you have with your dates.
Awkward moment for Olby during a Kweisi Mfume interview. It seems Olby didn't know that Julian Bond is the leader of the NAACP, not Mfume. Olby asked him questions about NAACP policy, etc., and Mfume angrily told Olby to ask Bond. Olby forcefully said, "OK, I will."
Olby, you idiot.
I see that MSDNC has not intention of halting their policy of insulting people. They certainly have been insulting viewers' intelligence for more than a decade.
Chicken Blogger, how could we expect KO to know one leader of the NAACP from another.
I am sure that they all look exactly alike to him.
Grammie
Good point, Grammie. Olby is easily flummoxed.
I'm surprised Olby didn't mention Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.
The defense of Olbermann's tendentious journalism is once again to divert the question away from him onto others.
This is because you cannot defend what he is doing and getting away with.
This is a "news anchor", after all, covering a political campaign where he believes that one party in that election is the "leading terrorist group in the nation". That statement alone - forget about every other opinion he has expressed - should disqualify him from covering this election.
The Hume argument is a nice diversion. But that's all it is: a diversion.
Why is it that FoxNews always beats MSDNC to the punch when projecting election winners? MSDNC: The place for politics.... what a hoot.
I think it is funny that former Olbypal Jim Vandehei from Politico.com is on the post-primary panel for Fox News with Chris Matthews (a "monkey" to Olby). Vandehei used to appear quite frequently on Meltdown.
I meant Chris Wallace. Sheesh. No more MSDNC for me. Where's my tinfoil hat?
Correction: that would be assiduously tendentious.
Not just regular or normal tendentiousness.

Brian Williams says its hard for him to be objective about Sen. Obama. He's a symbol of hope and of reconciliation by the fact of his charisma and his character and of course by virtue of the fact that he is the first black presidential candidate who just might make it.
However, Obama is also one of the most liberal-progressive members of the senate. Would Williams have ever uttered such a thing about an Alan Keyes or a Condolezza Rice?
We all know that he would have said that about any conservative, no matter their package. No Hispanic, female, African-American Republican candidate that would excite that sort of sentiment in Brian Wiilliams and in the rest of the media, that Obama does. His liberalism is as much a part of the excitement he arouses as his skin color.
That's because most of the media are liberal. That's the reality. I'm not saying they don't do their job well, and as impartially as they can do them, but their core, where their appetite and their ideals live, can't help but shade things, even it's only subtly.
That's the reality that conservatives live with.
There is no "Hume argument".

Keith will prove he's a fool
(Matthews will drool)
If their teeth were on fire I'd piss
Keith looks older than Pat Buchanon.
Olbermann's questions to Tom Brokaw go on so long that Tom actually sighed in the middle as Keith stumbled over his words. Brokaw looks pained to have to share the screen with him.
"Brokaw looks pained to have to share the screen with him."
Posted by: at February 12, 2008 9:42 PM
I'm sure Tom Brokaw must be totally embarrassed.
I have not watched MSNBC since they refused at first to air ads supporting our troops, and believe me, my life is so much better without their Anti-America antics.
I follow this site to find out what is happening. Thanks to Robert Cox & Johnny$.
Nice line from Leon Wieseltier, the literary editor of the New Republic. Mr. Wieseltier is a life long liberal, a realistic liberal (a dying breed to be sure).
"It is not "the politics of fear" to remind Obama's legions of the blissful that, while they are watching Scarlett Johansson sway to the beat, somewhere deep inside a quasi independent territory [he's talking about al-Qaeda in western Pakistan] we might call Islamistan people are making plans to blow them to bits. (Yes, they can.)"
Olbermann, of course, would dimiss Wieseltier as a fear mongering fraud.

That should read, "If their teeth were afire, I'd run to the grocer for asparagus."
"Journalists cannot serve two masters. To the extent that they take on the task of suppressing information or biting their tongue for the sake of some political agenda, they are betraying the trust of the public and corrupting their own profession." Thomas Sowell
This would apply to Keith if I considered him a journalist and not a disgrace.
"Keith Olbermann, MSNBC’s answer to a question no one asked" Jonah Goldberg
I like this quote too.

Posted by: Tom at February 12, 2008 8:08 PM
That is because you are a moron.
Geraldo Rivera is a liberal and he has his own show.
Greta Van Susteren is a liberal who is good friends with Bill and Hillary Clinton. Greta Van Susteren has a prime time show on Fox News.

Yeah? There aint nuthin I write on this board I would say right to anyones face anywhere, anytime, anyday.
You and Mike both write bull crap you wouldn't even dare sign your own name. I'm still waiting for Mike to tell me how a family that buried a soldier reacted when he went up and told them his son dies for a lie and a lost cause.
Yeah, you left wing loons are real men. Hell, the DailyKos is forming an Army to take the country back. What the hell are you waiting for.
I have two words to say:
Go ahead, make my day.

A few months ago he had Jesse Jackson on his show and after several minutes of patronage he ended the segment by telling Jesse:
"I have Allison Stewart fill in for my absence".
Jesse just looked at him with a questionable face where Olbyturd replied:
"She's African American".
I bet if Jesse asked that boy to kiss his ass he would have been on his knees in a pico second.
This is the boy that said he learned about racism in college after walking home one night from a part time job at a local theater a cop pulled up to him and shined a light in his face and then proceeded on up the road. The next night he saw the same cop shine a light on a black boy and the cop didn't proceed up the road. What an idiot. I bet this piece of shit didn't even attend class with a black person until he got to college and then I bet it would number less than 100.
Several years ago Jennifer Gray was making some racial Hollywood movie and they were interviewing her. She said, "Did you know they made blacks sit at the back of the bus in the '60's."
No need to comment any more on what these types know about real life.
I saw on FNC that Ed Rendell, GOvernor of PA made the statement:
There are white conservatives in that part, and I don't believe white men will vote for a black man.
Then I flip over to the liar network and they cover Rendell's comment. The only thing is they conveniently left out the white conservative part.
These liberals are a friggin joke. They make racists remarks using a what if it's a republican theory.
A few nights ago one of their skanky reporters said that the Republicans in the Senate blcoked the stimulus package because it contained benefits for disabled soldiers and people on S.S. I knew that was a lie. Sure enough, they blocked it because it contained continued unemployment benefits and increasing healthcare above the cost of inflation.
MSNBC is a sham.
You have to love a left wing loony assed liberal democrat. We have a share on this board. You know who you are, Mikey, O'Lielly and SLOB back from the grave just to name a few.
You whine about losing rights over George Bush trying to prevent another 9/11. Who could be against that? I read all this BS about one's opinions especially from Lussy while in the same blog he whines about our opinions on aboard that is contrary to his beliefs. What can you say to left wing nut jobs. All I can say is you can call yourself a Patriot but in my honest opinion you either support terrorst or you are a terrorist yourself.
Then you have their attacks on businesses like Halliburton, Walmart and Exxon. Last night O'Sambo the spear chunking Muslim said"
"Last month Exxon posted record profits of 11 billion dollars. It's going to b e tough for Exxon to give up those profits?."
END QUOTE
Phony Soldier's Speshul Komment:
About as tough as a camel passing through the ey of a needle O'Sambo. Who the hell do you think you are? Any liberal asshat given 25% stock in Exxon today would change their opinion on that comment in a heartbeat. I have been working for over 40 plus years from chunking cucumbers and watermelons when I was a kid to a senior engineer today. Thesse wealthy business types got where they are at today from education, being smart and work ethic, three attributes your followers and legions do not pocess. There aint no spear chunker or some thunder thighed, shribbled up over-the-hill sperm spitoon going to "make" Exxon give up a damned thing.
Wow....Keith Olbermann's name was not mentioned again.....Amazing how they do that!
It must gall the orange twit.
Good segment and very well said.....NBC News has no credibility using the "leading leftwing bomb thrower" for election night coverage.
Another quote and great description of Keith Olbermann.
The Republican Party the leading terrorist group in the US?
LMAO...what a douche. I mean, just look at him.
Assiduous Keef Olberdouche, the Man to Help Us All.

How do you know what names I've called people? Are you another clairvoyent? This site seems to have cornered the market on mediums.
Can you tell me what I feel like having for dinner?

Sad, but, true.
6:37 is a prime example of the debating tactic of an olbyloon after he has had his ass handed to him one too many times. How's that crow omelette? Would you like some salsa? You're welcome, come again.
