The next step in dealing with trolls is to begin to report them to their ISP's. For example, "Phony Soldier" is coming to our server via IP addresses from Verizon (specifically, Cellco Partnership DBA Verizon Wireless). These IP addresses are all in the Northern New Jersey area. So, a report has been filed with Verizon Wireless containing the data we've collected which will enable them to positively ID the account which has been used to access this site. Typically, the ISP will terminate the account and add the customer to a "ban" list which is then shared among other ISPs. The effect is that the person loses their internet access and, in this case, possibly their cell phone service. That means losing their email addresses and cell phone numbers. And it means difficulty in finding another carrier. If the account is a "work" account then they will have some explaining to do to their boss.

Longtime readers will know that when I feel like it, I have the capability to not only ID a particular troll but develop a large dossier of information about that person and, if pushed to do so, am perfectly willing to publish that information along with samples of that persons comments on this site. The effect of that is the person's actual name and some of their most choice comments are placed into Google. As this site has a Google Page Rank of 4 or 5 (depending on the day) that makes the information pretty easy to find. As the person does not typically have a lot of Google entries, it makes it very likely that employers, banks, credit agencies, etc. will have little difficulty finding the information in a Google search.

I am fully aware that the effect on a person can be profound when they find they are unable to get certain jobs, rent an apartment or get turned down for a loan because of some vulgar, inane or threatening comments they left "anonymously" on a blog but such is the world we now live in.

So, to our various trolls... you've been put on notice.

Of course being trolls you will have a burning desire to challenge my ability to personally ID you. You would do well to consider that we've laid various traps on the server and have been collecting data for over three months now. If that's not enough, however, just know that when the day comes that you are crying about the "unfairness" of it all I will simply point you to this post (and the many other warnings I've made).

Juan, in this crazy primary season I think anything is possible.

I've always felt that Hillary was definitely very beatable but that Obama was very electable b/c of his personable qualities. As the season goes on I'm starting to think that Obamy is very beatable too.

McCain would not have been my choice but I side with Newt, do you want someone you disagree with 10 - 20% of the time or someone you disagree with 90% of the time?

I've read the above post by Mr.Cox and feel that I need to clarify any previous posts by me and the intent behind any and all of them:

1)Firstly, I was never a "troll" on this site. Any and all posts of mine had only one objective. I believe Keith Olbermann does read this site(probably daily) and wanted to let him know how some people feel about him. To the best of my recollection, I don't believe I ever referenced any poster,not to mention spar with anyone. A "troll" generally engages a website to ruin any form of conversation, and to infuriate other posters. NEVER my intent.
2) Secondly, I apologized as quickly as I could for being out of bounds with the way Mr. Cox runs this site. It was a heartfelt apology for using as I stated, "salty" language. I believe it was one of the only posts where I had done so. Generally speaking, my posts were intended to point out Olbermann's unbelievable hypocrisy, and use the name "Olbergoebbels" at every opportunity, believing the moniker to be quite fitting. I was accused by one poster for having a stupid screen name and using the name "Olbergoebbels" as being stupid as well. I still can't understand why "Olbergoebbels" could be considered stupid, as Josef Goebbels was the propaganda minister for Hitler, and the combination of the two seemed pretty obvious to me. Something I definately wanted Olbermann to read, to maybe bring him back from, in my opinion, his unhinged self. Another poster said something to the effect that "The poor little flucker can't hep hisself". I thought that odd. I was chastised for using a few dirty words and a post to tell me how bad and attention seeking I was, was one letter off a dirty word. To each his own I guess. No offense taken, and as I said, it was never my intent to ever offend ANYONE posting on this site.
3)As far as the aforementioned "salty" language, it was used in a "good for the goose, good for the gander" kind of way. I believe Mr. Cox refers to Olbermann as "fat ass( possiby someone else) and some of the other posts were pretty raunchy. I assumed that that was acceptable, and followed suit, trying to inject some blue humor. I found out very quickly I wasn't considered very funny. Again, no offense taken, and certainly once again, definately none intended to this site and anyone posting or reading it.
4)Since my apology, I have not posted anything, but have continued to read this post daily. As I've posted before, Mr. Cox does me a great service by having this website, as I really cannot tolerate the theatre schtick involved in watching Olbermann make a national disgrace of himself nightly. To put it bluntly, the man nauseates me, and this site allows me to keep tabs on how far to the left MSNBC will go in its propaganda.

So to sum this all up, from my introduction to this site, I felt that I had a home with other people who were as outraged with Olbermann's treasonous,seditious,and fascist broadcasts. I still feel that way, and any posting from me from here on in will never use any languge that is offensive. Offensive is something I never wish to be. I read a fair deal, and would like from time to time share some great books that are out there that lay complete waste to everything out of Olbermann's mouth, as well as point out hypocrisy with the far left. I hope I still have that home. Once again, I never wanted to offend, only to be humorous. I apologize again to Mr. Cox, OlbermannWatch, and all posting here. Thanks for saving me from watching MSNBC. I'll bet dinner on it too. Mr. Cox could certainly check and I invite a reposting of all my posts to prove the point. This is the only screen name I have ever used on this site. The only problem with that is that they were all pretty much the same(for effect as well. Olbermann's show is the same show over and over, with the same guests every night, so I basically wrote Heil Olbergoebbels every post. Heil to the Fuhrer George Soros etc. to show Olbermann that his "show" really is like the movie "Goundhog Day" et.al. the same day over and over...)It would be really boring to put them all together. I think Grammie is just angry that I remember her being ascerbic towards me after my initial apology and referring to her in my long apology above and having the decency not to point out her out by name, stating that I was an attention seeker, which I'm really not.
