WASHINGTON - President Bush said Saturday he vetoed legislation that would ban the CIA from using harsh interrogation methods such as waterboarding to break suspected terrorists because it would end practices that have prevented attacks.

\"The bill Congress sent me would take away one of the most valuable tools [TORTURE] in the war on terror,\" Bush said in his weekly radio address taped for broadcast Saturday. \"So today I vetoed it,\" Bush said. The bill provides guidelines for intelligence activities for the year and includes the interrogation requirement. It passed the House in December and the Senate last month.

\"This is no time for Congress to abandon practices [TORTURE] that have a proven track record of keeping America safe,\" the president said.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Angry Boeing supporters are vowing revenge against Republican presidential candidate John McCain over Chicago-based Boeing's loss of a $35 billion Air Force tanker contract to the parent company of European plane maker Airbus.

But Boeing supporters in Congress are directing their wrath at McCain, the Arizona senator and nominee in waiting, for scuttling an earlier deal that would have let Boeing build the next generation of Air Force refueling tankers. Boeing now will miss out on a deal that it says would have supported 44,000 new and existing jobs at the company and suppliers in 40 states.

Well, as Factor correctly pointed pout, he is far too cozy with some of the giant corporations that view Americans as their God-given serfs. He needs to start promising to fight the extortive conglomerate monopolies that rule our lives, and proposing democratic policies that encourage small, local entreprenuerism and sensible federal social programs that do away with predatory blights like the health in surance industry.

It's being reported that MSNBC will cancel Tucker Carlson's show.
Tucker's show was boring and I'm not surprised.
Those on the left are begging for Schuster or Maddow to take over. That's all we need is more ultra liberals or ultra conservatives on our TV, making us look stupid to the rest of the world.

The problem with Maddow is, she'll just be another bomb throwing liberal like Keith.
They won't attract a new audience, they'll just be preaching to the converted.
If Obama get elected and since we have a Democratic congress, who will Keith attack for half of his show?

I hope MSNBC does a show like PBS's NOW or something along those lines.

Hello I am from Murfreesboro, Tennessee but I married a man from France in Atlanta and now I live in France. Not Paris France, but out in the boonies down south.
