I've been a regular viewer of Countdown for about two years now. It's not that I agree with Olbermann's politics it's just that I am a news/political junkie, the show filt my schedule and I enjoyed the analysis and freshness of the show.

It was always clear he was a hyper-partisan but I didn't mind. I found his guest entertaining and informative. And to be honest, I still do for the most part.

But having said all that this absolute adoration he has for Obama and the commitment to slamming Clinton (who I'm no fan of) and of course all republicans is really an embarassment for NBC. He doesn't ask his guests (Schuster, Wolf, Alter, etc.) questions as much he makes a statement and looks for backing.

I'm also now a regular visitor to this website.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Likely Democratic Primary Voters evenly divided the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Nationally, Barack Obama now holds a statistically insignificant one-point advantage over Hillary Clinton, 45% to 44%. Before the story broke about his former Pastor, Obama led Clinton by eight percentage points. Today’s results are identical to those just before Obama’s Tuesday morning speech (see recent daily results).

Nationally, 51% of all Likely Voters said that speech was good or excellent. Just 21% said poor. However, 56% remain concerned about Obama’s relationship with Pastor Jeremiah Wright. See Obama’s Speech.

On Friday, Obama’s favorable ratings remain little changed from recent days—48% favorable, 50% unfavorable. Before the Pastor Problem became big news, Obama was viewed favorably by 52%. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows ongoing volatility in the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Nationally, Hillary Clinton now holds a very slight advantage over Barack Obama, 46% to 44%. Before the story broke about his former Pastor, Obama led Clinton by eight percentage points (see recent daily results). While the national polls remain close, Rasmussen Markets data gives Obama a 79.7% chance to win the Democratic nomination while expectations for a Clinton victory are at 20.0%.

Looking ahead to the General Election in November, John McCain continues to lead both potential Democratic opponents. McCain leads Barack Obama 49% to 41% and Hillary Clinton 49% to 43% (see recent daily results). New polling shows McCain leading both Democrats in Georgia and Arkansas. In Minnesota, the race is very close.

On Saturday, Obama’s favorable ratings slipped a little further—46% favorable, 51% unfavorable.

I think that answers the question rather definitively. So, while the right wing racists in America continue to obsess over a sermon, the British have, as they did with the slavery issue, show us the light. We are indebted to them.

Cecelia, I'm with you, but I now just scan thru and ignore anything JJ posts. I've always liked the idea that Mr Cox has run an open board. Censorship is not good but I did appreciate his cleaning it up whe he banned some interruptors. A sharing of ideas cannot occur when someone is just disrupting and not interested in a civil conversation.

JJ does not understand that many here simply do not like Olbermann and want him called out for his lies and distortion. It has nothing to do with politics. Another view into the leadership resume of Obamessiah...unable to rise, as a leader, above the "polarization" present in DC....What excuses will he have at the ready for his radical votes regarding abortion and how he would move this issue if he became the President....

Is he as kind in "bringing us together" over abortion up to viability and beyond as he is about the economy, the war and race relations?....
