Well, if 75% of the pop. thinks just as Keith does, then you shouldn't have any trouble getting more specific with your argument.
What is it that Olbermann speaks that you haven't heard anywhere else and why do you think the others aren't saying it, O'Diely?

I watched Fox and Friends this morning before leaving for work. They showed the two videos on U-Tubey, the one from Pea Crap or whatever and the one from Hollyweirdos:
"OBAMA"
"OBAMA"
"OBAMA"
I think they meant:
"DUMBASS"
"DUMBASS"
"DUMBASS"
"WE ARE THE DUMBASSES OF THE WORLD"
All last year Dick Morris said Hillary would win because 10 million young women would come out to vote for her. I knew he was wrong. The same applies even more to Obamanation Here's why:
"DEAR HUNTER"
"DEAR HUNTER"
"DEAR HUNTER"
1. There are still more of us hunters, beer drinkers, NASCAR fans, rednecks, crackers, trailer trash, Swift Boaters, right wingers, vast right wing conspiratists, hillbillies, wealthy, religious right, better educated and better looking than all these left wing nut jobs and the youth movement combined.
Millions of hunters will crawl down out of their deer stands, jump off the front of their bass boats, hop off their John Deere, drop their hammers, crawl out from under the vehicle they were working...............We out number you left wing nut jobs.
2. Youth movement? Bwahahahaha. Today the US ranks near 30th in the world in reading and math skills. Yeah, our youth are intelligent enough to vote. The average 12th grader today equateds to about a sixth grader from the mid-70's in intelligence and even less in common sense. The combined IQ of the actors in that video would not surpass mine.

I lean to the left and can't stand Bush but I read this site every day. Where do I fit in with your tunnel vision?
I have found Olbermann to be a fraud. After watching his show since its inception I have watched him swirl in any direction that will bring him viewers. Pandering is his game. I just can't decide how he'll do himself in - will his head explode or just spin till it flies off? Maybe a meltdown and some day we'll just see a rumpled suit and tie on the news desk? Or will he just fade away and write another Mea Culpa to the people he's offended, just hoping to get another job after burning more bridges?
Yeah, your TV savior is just like the Democratic messiah who will save us all - a lot of ego, ambition and hot air.

What did Nagin do, nothing. Been to Detroit lately. Looks like scenes from Iraq. Obama will be the biggest joke in the history of this cvountry if elected. He couldn;t manage the janitorial staff where I work. The man doesn't have a clue how businesses work. He is on record saying he is going to make Exxon give up it's profits. Politics as usual by the Obamessiah.....tell the crowds what they want to hear but say something else to the power structure in private......
"Noting anxiety among many U.S. domestic audiences about the U.S. economic outlook, Goolsbee candidly acknowledged the protectionist sentiment that has emerged, particularly in the Midwest, during the primary campaign," the memo said. "He cautioned that this messaging should not be taken out of context and should be viewed as more about political positioning than a clear articulation of policy plans."
[...]
Clinton said Monday that Obama's campaign gave the Canadians "the old wink-wink."
###
Oh really? Obama is only about "political positioning" on the campaign trail AND NOT policy?......
Any idiot watching the candidate could come to that conclusion but I guess it will take somemore EMPIRICAL evidence to penetrate the godlike power he has on the left.....
The rational left?......
Obamessiah speaks well...."politics" well but nevermind the policy! Will this important gem be covered by Olbermann tonight?
I know big words like empirical, rational and idiot challenge your reading comprehension skills, anonymous poster, but there is always YOU TUBE for the MENSA wannabes like yourself......

I enjoy watching the apologists from the left ignore obvious flaws and mediocrity in their current choice of the neophyte from Chicago....Style over substance was something I thought rational secularist leftists decried?
To say on the stump NAFTA should be totally gutted then privately tell the Canadians it is only for domestic consumption and part of "politics," should alarm the "progressives" in their humanity, right?
Nevermind what redoing NAFTA would do to oil prices for our country!
Obamessiah is not as bright as we were all lead to believe!
Now Nader.....there's a smart guy!.....and principled!
Cee, what is your opinion of the following? Cecelia and I were discussing the topic of "racism" on another thread last night and I wanted your opinion if you have the time.
It seems to me that when I see something like:
2. Commitment to the Black Community
3. Commitment to the Black Family
6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
11. Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System...I see a form of bias that had started in Germany when the Germans also had the thought that they were being overrun by the Jews, and not only did they come up with their exclusive clubs to keep the Jews out, but felt it was their RIGHT to do so because they felt oppressed from the Jews.

Well, unless he has info more compelling than the church's mission statement, I'm not going to agree that this church has indicated anything approaching racism.
I think there are two kinds of racism....interpersonal and institutional. I have no problems with minorities of ANY designation forming structures or associations to combat known institutional racism....sometimes it is the only way there can be challenges to a powerful entity that is racist.
But when groups formulate tools to combat institutional racism, there is always a danger those tools may force individuals into what I believe excludes others of different races and these individuals develop interpersonal realtionship problems that reflect a form of racism.
When resources of individuals or their behavior is channelled into avenues that discriminate based on those very same attributes, the solution is starting to become deformed. Especially in a free society where institutional racism has been greatly reduced, the formulation of race based value systems, resourse distribution and/or political affiliation can become its own immoral monster, especially on the individual who starts to put their "race" as more important as their "person." I would make judgements on such things on a case-by-case basis, but it is easy to fall into ones own "ism" in response to being discriminated against and forming a powerful structure to combat it.
Balance is the key, and most of the examples you gave can be racist in an interpersonal way and hurts the individual practicing it.....It does not affect me as a white person (it is not institutional racism) but I believe it does damage the human race as a whole because it excludes.....It can lead to insitutional racism.

Posted by: cee at March 3, 2008 4:21 PM
Well, if you can find anything reflective of "interpersonal racism" in the mission statement, I'll be glad to listen. However, the statement below sounds no more "racist" than any pledge of a neighborhood watch program...
12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System...
Specific to Trinity UCC, I believe Reverand Wright does reflect a certain amount of individual racism in his adoration of The Reverand Farrakhan and until he either reverses himself from that position or is no longer the leader of that church, the church could be seen as promoting racism.
The leader of a church does reflect the organization.
Again, it does not affect me but it does damage to souls who continue to be prejudiced against people because they are Jews, white or Catholic (various racist positions of The Nation of Islam).
but I believe it does damage the human race as a whole because it excludes.....It can lead to insitutional racism.
Posted by: cee at March 3, 2008 4:21 PM
Which was the point I was trying to make. Adding the word "black" excludes every one else which goes against everything Christianity stands for and is racist.
The problem is Cecelia, in light of the historical connections between Trinity UCC, Wright and the racist Farrakhan, those "statements" take on a whole new quality that when judge on a case by case basis turn out to push people into basing their interactions as "Black" to the exclusion of white, jew, etc.....
One does not have to put the exclusion explicitly to have the outcome be the same and Dr. Wright has some difficult history that makes the exclusion implicit.....The Nation of Islam is more explicit, but adoration of such a group by African-American Christians is not consistant with Christ's message.
The leader of a church does reflect the organization.
Again, it does not affect me but it does damage to souls who continue to be prejudiced against people because they are Jews, white or Catholic (various racist positions of The Nation of Islam).
Posted by: cee at March 3, 2008 4:28 PM
Farrakhan is a racist. The last mission statement about a "black value system" might be the closest thing to something that is racially tinged in the same sense that Farrakhan thinks his race inherently has characteristics that make it more indicative of Godly or God-like character than does the white race.
Again, even with his pastor's non-disavowal of Farrakhan, I don't see anything in here that is particularly damaging to Obama.
Lawrence O'Donnell got loopy over former Mormon teachings about race when it came to Romney and I thought that was pretty far-fetched. Any argument that Obama needs to answer for being a member of a church that does not and never did teach such things but merely has a pastor who is friends with Farrakhan is even more far-fetched
Cecelia, I respect your opinion, I think you know that. I asked cee for his opinion because I knew he wouldn't just say "you're wrong" with no proof. :)

President Bush thanked Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno, who until recently served as the No. 2 commander in Iraq, for his service in Iraq. In attempting to apply the phrase “snatching defeat from the jaws of victory,” Bush offered this nonsensical praise for Odierno:
I appreciate the fact that you really snatched defeat out of the jaws of those who were trying to defeat us in Iraq.

Still, 2:00 p.m, never underestimate the breadth of depth of right-wing/conservative/Republican hatred. It surpasses all human understanding.

Personally, I would rather run against Obama. He is going to get ripped to shreds when we start Swift Boating his ass. There is nothing to the man. Nothing. He will pull out of Irawq and let the Middle East fall into chaos. People whine about gas prices today.
IF anyine believes this idiot will send troops anywhere they are stupid. He will never do a damned thing no mare than Ray Nagin did the year before Katrina hit New Orleans was narrowly missed by a hurricane that exposed how poorly there preparedness and evacuation plans were. Yes, it is curious that the left can't get behind someone who outwardly and uncompromisingly reflects their views. Say a... Kucinich or Nader....
Especially, when according to O'Dielly, those views are held by 70% of the pop. :D

BTW...I thought the SNL cartoon clip of Obama, JJ and Reverand Al was well done.....and I hope there are a lot more to come.

Well, if you can find anything reflective of "interpersonal racism" in the mission statement, I'll be glad to listen. However, the statement below sounds no more "racist" than any pledge of a neighborhood watch program...
. Commitment to the Black Community
3. Commitment to the Black Family
6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions

The problem isn't Cecelia, he, he, he....
It should have read, "The problem is, Cecelia, in light......."
