A discussion about Doocey being gay is absurd and obscene, but being married and having kids don't mean squat in that regard. True, Mark Foley (R) wasn't married and didn't have kids, but Larry Craig (R) is married and has kids, and Mary Cheney (R) has a life partner and a kid. If you want to talk about Doocey's snaggle tooth or his denseness, fine and well. Leave the sexual preference out of it. After seeing Keith Olbermann make his “Depends” comment in relation to John McCain’s age, I am reveling in the fact that he is very close to losing his mind completely. The reason he is on this precipice is because he is so totally and thoroughly ignored. He can no longer stand the silence around him. He has recently started becoming more and more outlandish. He’s called the President of the United States a “fascist.” He’s called Geraldine Ferraro a racist, while giving Obama a pass for his relationship with the Jeremiah Wright. Now he denigrates a genuine American military hero with his comments. I use the word comments instead of humor because if this was an attempt at humor, he has once again proven that he lacks talent in many areas, not just political analysis. After his remark, he told Rachel Maddow that she may distance herself from his comments, as if he would now face a firestorm of controversy which he will withstand and she should take cover. He can only wish of such a scenario. These comments will be greeted with the same response as his other outlandish statements – with complete and utter silence. He is entirely insignificant and it’s driving him mad. As inconsequential as his network cohorts are, occasionally they will get mentioned (positively or negatively) by other networks or by Rush or others on talk radio. Olbermann’s name is hardly ever spoken. He makes a nightly attempt in his “Worst Person” segment to get Bill O’Reilly to notice him. He has said he is going to pull back on the O’Reilly appearances in this segment, but it hasn’t happened and it won’t happen because he is on a personal crusade to have Bill O’Reilly acknowledge that Keith Olbermann is alive. It hasn’t become an obsession – it started as an obsession. Now it’s just deranged. On the plus side, it’s enjoyable to witness this buffoon unravel before my very eyes.
