The last time Keith went after Democrats -- when he attacked Congress last July for not standing up to Bush and pulling U.S. troops out of Iraq -- his Special Comment was appropriated a couple of months later by Osama bin Laden for his rant against Democrats for not standing up to Bush and pulling U.S. troops out of Iraq.

I'm trying to figure out what tonight's tirade against Hillary is going to spark or who might emulate Keith's remarks in the near future. It won't be Obama, since he's running as the candidate of change and ending divisiveness, so following in Olby's verbal footsteps would scare off thousands of potential voters. And it won't be McCain in the fall, unless he suddenly has a desire to start making people wonder if he's too old to be president due to dementia setting in.

Olbermannon, on his Countdown show, has been on a relentless Hillary bashing campaign going on 4 weeks now . He became nearly apoplectic with anger on the night she won Ohio, TX and RI. He kept sputtering that she should get out of the race, what good was this doing the party etc etc. He looked like he wanted to punch Chris Matthews when Matthews said that this was the way Democracy worked and this is the way the process should play out.

He is CLEARLY for Obama, which is fine, he just needs to come out and preface every new Countdown Show with that. Because he dosen't do that he ends up looking like he's part of the Obama spin machine.

I'll fully admit here that I'm a Liberal... but the sort of Liberal that Olbermann dosen't like. I'm not politically correct. I'm a realist about things. 91% of all blacks dems voted for Obama. That's a racial basis and it's not ok. I won't tolerate the excuse that "African Americans are just proud of one of their own". Can you imagine if Hillary got 91% of all the white vote and the excuse used was "White Americans are just proud of one of their own". Is Obama getting a pass from much of the media because of his skin color? Of course. But you're not suppose to say it publicly or you will be branded a racist. If he was a white man named Barry O'Brien with the same experience he would be relentlessly quizzed in every debate about it. I found THIS particularly interesting AND amusing.

I can just imagine Hillary telling K.O., "Don't be afraid. Tell it like it is!", never in a million years imagining that one day she'd be the focus of all that feigned righteous indignation.

Since Hillary claims to have helped start Media Matters and they feature Countdown so prominiently on their site, I wonder how they fit in as far as encouraging Olbermann to go after Republicans and Fox News personnel.

Olbermann is a guy who accused New York officials and Flox News of colluding with the Bush Administration over the timing of a recent terrorist alert. He linked Fox reporter Greg Kelly to the conspiracy because his father is the New York City Chief of Police!

Who is he kidding? In the space of about 48 hours, Ferraro had become a pariah. Tom Brokaw probably thinks she should have never made the remarks. Brian Williams probably thinks she should have never made the remarks and Peter Jennings in the highest of heavenlies concurs with both Brokaw and Williams...

Calling Ferraro out was about as risky as Olbermann's snarks about Tom Cruise and space cadets.... In other words.... it is precisely the sort of the elite sanctioned public humiliation of a fellow traveler that causes his fangs to grow and his salivary glands to pump.

If he wrestled at all with himself it was only in suppressing some minute concern that he might do some even smaller good for John McCain.
