Read my post more carefully and it answers your questions - Is a tax warrant the same as a tax lien? If so, why wasn't it executed when he bought his condo.

The Franken tax scandal started with ONE tax warrant for about $2,000. It took several weeks and lots of digging before it came out that there were actually tax warrants in 19 different states totally over $70,000 plus failure to pay into Workers Comp funds for which he was fined $25,000.

Before rushing to judgement let's see where this thing goes. I am hearing from some folks that there are other tax warrants out there in at least two other states. This is only the beginning.

I have a hard time believing "oversight." He lives in NY, works in NY. Probably pretty easy for the tax man to find him, just check under the desks at 30 Rock.

This warrant is almost a year old. Surely, within the last year, someone would have notified the corporation that they are delinquent in taxes. In addition, the taxes due on this would be probably from, what, 2006? Assuming NY taxes are due in April, which I have no idea on, they wouldn't put a judgement on the Empire for two grand four months late.
