Jossip is reporting on the Keith Olbermann v. David Gregory Lovers Quarrel
From inside MSNBC we hear Gregory and Olbermann kicked off a feud of their own while ankling last night's West Virgina primary coverage. In fact, viewers may have witnessed it. Around 10pm, you might've heard a very loud thud, followed by Gregory abruptly wrapping up his panel discussion. According to witnesses, that thud was Olbermann slamming his fist down on his desk (he was in one studio with Chris Matthews), because he felt Gregory and his panel, in another area, were going on way too long, and nobody was telling him to wrap it up.
Q: How does Uberdouche get his highest ratings?
A: By airing a 20-year old clip of Bill O'Reilly!!!
Keith should quit living off the boot heels of Bill O'Reilly and dream up his own show. Sniffing O'Reilly's ass is no way to go through life.
What a hoot.
LOLs look how red Keith's face is when they cut back to him.
Putz....slamming his hand down in anger?...a bit O'Reillyesque is it not?
I think KO knows that Gregory is being groom by MSNBC to be their new star..so clearly He's a little irked. LOL!!!
Like I said before..with the Bush Term ending in 8 months !/2 of KO's show is leaving too and with it the ratings..nobody not even the Kossacs are going to turn in night after night to watch the same old attacks on O'Reilly and the buttkissing to Obama(if he wins) or weak attempts to generate the same hate against McCain(if He wins) that he did against Bush.
If Obama wins in November, and the Dems add seats in the Congress, its seems KO would be left filling his hour with Oddball, O'Reilly attacks, and the Media Matters Minute. Great TV there.
The bigger question for me, though, is how NBC News (and for that matter, NBC Sports) can allow this hack to contaminate their reputation and credibility with comments like "Shut! The Hell! Up!"
I never imagined an organization as venerated as the NBC (not to mention GE) allowing an employee to show such utter disrepect for the office of the presidency, if not the holder of that office. The deterioration of NBC is complete after allowing the discredited, self-important Kos Diarist to air this twadle.
Normally, I visit this site for the entertainment value of what ridiculous lies/spin/hypocrisy Keith is spouting that day. But this SEK has really pissed me off.
I am proud to say I watched not one minute of NBC's NFL broadcast this year, because of the presence of KO. I removed MSNBC from my channel list when Tucker was cancelled, because there is nothing else on that network worth watching. I do my best to avoid any GE products at this point.
If I could get The Office to switch networks, my complete boycott of all things GE would be complete.
Scott, the both sad and scary part is that KO screaming to the POTUS "Shut The Hell Up" is not by far the worst example of what this supposed "newsman" has spewed across the airwaves for the last few years.
Like anything once one starts down a slippery slope things seem to pick up speed exponentially. Witness the coverage of GWB's speech in Israel. It is virtually a given in the MSM that GWB dissed Obama in a foreign land and besides that is not Obama's position.
Some quotes taken from LGF (links to source material there):
INDIANAPOLIS (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said on Friday it was not his place to criticize former President Jimmy Carter if he were to meet with Hamas, although Obama said he would not meet with the militant Palestinian group. ...
“I’m not going to comment on former President Carter. He’s a private citizen. It’s not my place to discuss who he shouldn’t meet with,” Obama told reporters while campaigning in Indianapolis.
Five days later, on April 16, 2008, Reuters reported: Obama criticizes ex-President Carter’s Hamas meeting.
PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - Democratic White House hopeful Barack Obama on Wednesday disagreed with former President Jimmy Carter’s overtures toward Hamas, saying he would not talk to the Islamist group until it recognized Israel and renounced terrorism. ...
“That’s why I have a fundamental difference with President Carter and disagree with his decision to meet with Hamas,” Obama said."
"Barack Obama just said in a speech being broadcast on Fox News: “I have never said I would negotiate with terrorists.”
From his official campaign web site:
Diplomacy: Obama is the only major candidate who supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions. Now is the time to pressure Iran directly to change their troubling behavior.
It’s a simple, undeniable fact that Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism. Obama says very clearly that he’s going to negotiate with them, and somehow convince them to “change their behavior.” (Good luck with that.) And yet, he stands there and denies it with a straight face.
He’s now blatantly lying, even when it’s a simple matter to fact check him. He’s getting complacent about his teflon coating."
"Barack Obama just reiterated that he will personally engage in “direct talks” with Iran, a state sponsor of terrorism, as he complained bitterly about President Bush’s speech in Israel.
Obama and the Democrats are making a big mistake with this whining, crybaby approach; I hope he continues down this road."
There are two corrollary threads that are also very interesting and informative:
"Seattle Times Editor: 'Hitler's Demands Were Not Unreasonable' "
"Video: Hamas Hearts Obama"
Scott, I also try to do what you do, which is not support with my dollars as much as possible the industries that financially stand behind the MSNBCs of this world.
Hillary supporters are now trying to wage a write-in campaign. Oh, you Dems crack me up. Maybe Rush should support that effort as well.
What's a girl to do?
The liberals are trying to paint McCain as running for Bush's third term. But I think the truth is that Obamma is running for Jimmy Carter's 2nd term!
Philly, let me rephrase that for you from my superior vantage point of "I AM WOMAN":
What is a NAG to do?
Or better yet: What is a black NAG to do?
Oh my, the Dems are on a rampage this year. They eat their own. A lot of nags are in a tizzy.

As I said at J$P right back atcha the more I see of you the more I like you.
I only wish I could also boycott Microsoft at this point Grammie, but unfortunately, I can't buy all new computers, and I'm just not comfortable enough with with alternative OS's to make a clean break (
I would like to know if anyone has contact info for the higher ups at GE/NBC though.
Bob, J$ can you help?
Scott, I linked to a site the other day that the wingnuts were all posting all the addresses to MSNBC to complain about Pat Buchannan saying something about Obama that they got their panties in a wad about.
I think it was either Koz or Huff n Puff and I'm leaning towards Koz.
If you can't get the info anywhere else you might look over the last three days or so at those charming sites. Or check J$P for "the latest Firing Demand" for the last three or four days b/c I just remembered I might have gotten the link from there.
Grammie

Microsoft completely divested its interest in MSNBC cable television in 2005. Bill Gates isn't stupid.
From the New York Times: "Microsoft has made no secret of its lack of enthusiasm for the cable channel. In 2002, Steven A. Ballmer, the company's chief executive, said publicly that if Microsoft had an opportunity to turn back time, it would never have gone through with the deal for MSNBC."
One looming question is whether the channel's name will be changed, now that MSNBC has no association with Microsoft.
(MS)NBC
What a hoot.
Merkle,
I knew they had announced they would do that, but then never heard an official announcement that it was done.
what a pompous jerk.
