The real aim of the lengthy missive could be found in its very last line, in which Mr. Gillespie accused NBC of blurring the lines between its news division and "blatantly partisan talk show hosts like Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann at MSNBC."..Re
While Olbermann (and the coverage on television and on the blogs immediately after the fact) suggested that Clinton's comments in South Dakota would signal the end of the end for her presidential campaign, the issue has not shown the legs many believed it
Over the last few months, Keith Olbermann's unwaivering bias, and support, for Barack Obama has become all too obvious...Keith is clearly in the tank for Obama.
Woo Hoo! Finally. I've been trying to get this darn thing working for what seems like forever. Please God let this keep working!!!
Most of you will be wondering why I am so pumped about THIS. Let me tell you. Del.icio.us is a social bookmarking application, since bought by Yahoo!, that gives you a way to bookmark a web page and store it in an online account rather than in your browser. You can then sync your Del.icio.us bookmarks with your browser. So that is nice because you then have all your faves online and on your computer; if you are ever on someone else's computer you still have all your bookmarks. But that's not what makes this interesting. Because it is online you can SHARE your bookmarks - and other people can share with you. So, if you find someone who shares your interest in a subject there are different ways you can access whatever they bookmark each day. The are quite a few ways to share your bookmarks. One of them is generate a list like we do in the left rail of this site, what we call the KO Mini Blog. That's pretty good. You can have badges, feeds, etc.
What we've wanted, however, is a simple way for trusted OW contributors to tag web pages and then share them as a blog post. Del.icio.us has a way to do that but it is "experimental" and confusing (for me anyway). Turns out the source of the confusion was actually REAL not just my ignorance. The problem was the instructions I was following were based on the old way that Movable Type handled XML-RPC access to a blog. Once I learned that MT does not allow "same password" access to the XML-RPC cgi I simply found the "web services" or "API" password within MT 4.1 for my profile, plugged that into the Del.icio.us settings and voila. It sounds simple but it was made more confusing because Delicious provides just about no instructions and no way to know if the settings are even failing let along working.
If this thing keeps on working what will happen is we will have a daily link roundup, prepared by those OW contributors and commenters who volunteered to submit links. So MESSAGE TO VOLUNTEERS, that thing I asked you to help with several months ago NOW WORKS so please step up your efforts in submitting links.
A note to Scott and a few other folks who have been submitting links via the comments section of via email. If you want to submit Olbermann-related links as part of this new Daily Posting from Del.icio.us shoot me an email and I will give you the login information you need to become a link contributor.
Regarding tonight's show, here's my mini-recap after watching WPITW video at MSNBC.com:
In the Media Matters Minute, Heavy Donkey (see "Fat Ass") provided another OlbyLie, this one about what Liz Trotta (tonight's Worse person, half-blinking still video image used) said. She never said "hopefully both" UBL and Obama could assassinated. She said "Well, both if we could." The apology wasn't good enough for Oralmann. "Lunatic fringer" [ding!]. [BOR's name without the 'Reilly part]. [ding!]
As much as I can't stand Michelle Malkin, I'm on her side when it comes to people attacking her, like Oralmann who made her the Worser. [mock feminine voice]. [ding!] He even took a shot at chef/talk sensation Rachael Ray regarding a Dunkin' Donuts promotional photo. Mr. Misogyny said she was "wearing a crappy scarf" in the photo. "Far-right"! [ding!] "Falafel" (and not even talking about BOR). [ding!]
Worst was Sen. Lieberman. "Hagee"! [ding!] How dare he attend the same conference as Hagee [ding!]. "Hagee"! [ding!] "Hagee"! [ding!]
And that's my WPITW recap for this, the 750th day (that's right, 7-5-0) since the declaration that "Karl Rove will in fact be indicted."
This link is more about Olbermann's propaganda provider than Olbermann. It is Lou Dobbs handing some Media Matters stooge his lunch. I love the part where Lou asks the left wing hack when they have ever done a positive story on a conservative after the left wing hacks ask Dobbs when he has ever done a positive story on immigrants.
