Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

Olbermann Watch Election Night Open Thread!

No Hour of Spin tonight, as election returns will be on for the duration. So here is your open thread to comment on the results, the coverage, and related issues. Whether you watch Hume, Blitzer, or Fat Ass and The Drooler, post your thoughts here.

To kick things off, or perhaps to provide fodder should matters resolve themselves early (one state has already been called), enjoy this interview. It's all about a planted question. You've heard Keith Oralmann rail about planted questions over and over. But this one he hasn't said a word about. When you listen you'll understand why:

Fat Ass looks like Olderman tonight. Grandpappy Olby's hair is turning snow white. Such a hipster.

I take pride in my state tonight because they apparently didn't fall for Hillary's "gas tax holiday" panderfest after all.

I'm thankful that my state did not fall for Hillary's "silly Gas Tax Holiday" panderfest yesterday.

No, but, they fell for obama's 'panderfest.'

Rev. Otis Moss (courtesy Cleveland Plan Dealer)

JERUSALEM – Otis Moss, the man slated to become the new chief pastor at the Trinity United Church of Christ, referenced a rap song during one of his recent sermons that includes among its lyrics "F--- America" and states the U.S. is "still with triple K" – referring to the white supremacist Ku Klux Klan.

"No, but they fell for Obama's "panderfest.'

You're wrong as usual, but I will answer your nonsense solely for the benefits of the adults in the room:

While the Clinton's pandered away by adopting McCains non-solution "Gas Tax Holiday", that depended on Congress and the president doing something now that neither one is going to do anyway......Obama rightly stood firm against the idea as the short term gimmick it was.....It was interesting the way most of the pundits were praising the Clinton's and McCain because they thought it was great politics.

It turns out the people of North Carolina are smarter than that after all. In retrospect, They collectively recognized who was REALLY insulting the intelligence of working class Americans!

It turns out that NC is almost 30% black which is why your boy won. Plain and simple.

"It turns out that NC is almost 30% black and which is why your boy won. Plain and simple."

This statement is proof posiive that racism remains alive and well in America, at least hen apllied to anyone who would make such a statement.

However, Obama won almost 40% of the white vote in North Carolina, which proves to me that most NC voters are anything but racists.

Thanks, elitist!

SNOBamessiah won all of his southern states because of the larger than average African-American population which went for him over 9:1....This is a fact that says a lot about the state of race relations in our country (HRC and Bill once appealed to this group: they are the same people in issues and standing: WHY THE CHANGE?)

....Oh, but SNOBamessiah chose to abandon fixing all that (you know, all that high rhetoric in THE SPEECH) in place of saving his nomination from being destroyed by the black liberation theology minister he, at one time, could never disavow....

There is a great analysis of what SNOBamessiah has become since Iowa....

"It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" - But Barack Obama's support has narrowed dangerously--and he'll need to make critical changes to beat John McCain.

http://tinyurl.com/3mpoqc

As SNOBamessiah runs back from the far left to try to portray himself as a moderate, McCain and the 527's will be ready with the mountains of evidence from this long primary season to refute him....

This is the best from the article:

"Obama appears to be somewhat effete, which will, unless remedied, cause him difficulty against McCain in the fall, particularly among white males."

Oh yeah....white males have been discussed as deciding this election.....SNOBamessiah has not been doing well with this moderate to conservative group and as he continues to reshape his image, the evidence from San Francisco will be ready to go!.....

SNOBamessiah: Some Americans are bitter cling-ons!

McCain '08!

"Thanks elitist!"

It appears you've learned from the campaigns and the mainstream media that the word "elitist" is supposed to be an insult, but in reality, it is anything but.

Unless it's used against an (R), of course. Just our daily dose...

proof posiive that racism remains alive and well in America,

I think the good reverend wright did a nice job of doing that, mikeh. obama's new pastor is coming along, as well......

"As SNOBamessiah runs back from the far left to try to portray himself as a moderate, McCain and the 527's will be ready with the mountains of evidence from this long primary season to refute him...."

But it doesn't matter!

Americans are already armed with the mountains of evidence as to how poorly "Compassionate Conservatism" has served the country over the last 8 years.

"I think the good reverend right did a nice job of doing that, mikeh."

Yes....you and he would make great bookends!

"Americans are already armed with the mountains of evidence as to how poorly 'Compassionate Conservatism' has served the country over the last 8 years."

1) John McCain has never discussed "Compassionate Conservatism." That was a Bush idea gone since 2001! Get with the times!

2) His record going against George Bush in 2000, along with his "problems" with the right wing currently will appeal to independents.
His maverick image continues despite the lies of people like Olbermann and the nutroots.

3) John McCain is at over 50% approval and matching both Dems in many polls, or in the margin of error, DESPITE generic republican approval ratings in the 30's.

4) John McCain has a deeper and better resume that will appeal to nonemotional, (nonfainting, nonweeping) white males who rationally analyze the candidates and most doing so AFTER LABOR DAY.

SNOBamessiah has a thin resume and really no accomplishments as a State or US Senator.

5) The exit polls shows SNOBamessiah's eroding support among white males and independents.

Keep trying the McSame argument, Mike....It is not going to stick, especially as we aproach the GE and McCain is able to articulate his own vision for America both domestically and internationally.

SNOBamessiah won all of his southern states because of the larger than average African-American population

crickeys.....

Is Operation Chaos targeting Obama now? Obama will be destroyed in the general, but it is amusing that the Dems have degraded to their subterranean level.

"I'm not quitting!" HRC

TDF!!!!

I hope Hil stays in for the long haul so the Dems have to face the music about FL and MI. If the Dems do not recognize those states, they will suffer the slings and arrows at the ballot box in November. I think this is her plan. If the Clintons get shot down in flames, they will take everyone down with them. I love it.

"That was a Bush idea gone since 2001. Get with the times.": It doesn't metter! Do you really think Americans are going to be stupid enough to trust a similar conservative with the reigns of government for another 4 or 8 years after the mess Bush has made?

"his maverick image continues despite the lies of Olbermann and the nutroots.": Oh, so you mean that his recent and rather dramatic capitulation to the extreme right is nothing but an act?

"John McCain has over a 50% approval rating and matching both Dems in the polls.": But he should be way ahead the ay the dems have been tearing each other down and the press has been ignoring his gaffs. Wait until the REAL campaign gets going!

"John McCain has a deeper and better resume that will appeal to nonemotional (nonfeinting, nonweeping) white males who rationally analyze the candidates.": Yet ANOTHER problem for McCain. When these white males "rationally" analyze his support for the invasion, along with his advocating a general continuation of Bush policies, most will conclude he lacks judgement.

"SNOBamessiah has a thin resume and really no accomplishment as a state or US senator.": I'd say winning the democratic nomination at such a young age is QUITE an accomplishment. That alone speaks well of his judgement

Philly: "I love it."

I don't doubt that for a minute.

Because you and I both know that your side cannot stand on it's own two feet when real issues and policies are rationally discussed.

Best to keep the diversions going!

Oh my goodness, Mike. It's 1972 all over again. Even without Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, his wife and Tony Rezko to drag him down, Obama will not get the support of the demographic groups he needs to win. His scandals seems to erupt weekly, so stay tuned for more. This is another reason why Hil has not dropped out. B. Hussein's bad judgment and his shady associates will be his undoing. He shouldn't have made those deals with the devil to make it in politics.

"Oh my goodness, Mike. It's 1972 all over again."

Maybe you've forgotten what happened shortly after that in 1974?

"B. Hussein's bad judgment and his shady associates will be his undoing."

Who knows, if your heros keep dredging through the sewers long enough, they might even find out he once shook hands with a former Black Panther member or some other such horrible "association".

Nixon had to be elected to the presidency before he could resign it, Mike.

If McCain shook hands with a Black Panther, no one would care. If the New Black Panthers or two Weathermen had a web page or link on McCain's official web site to pledge their support, then you might have a case.

Might I remind everyone that no game was ever won in the locker room, the cheering squad or the press releases. Sooner or later the actual game is played and the score is kept.

Six months ago I would have not placed money on the repubs without blowaway odds in my favor. Today, I think the line is even money.

Both Dems and Repubs have fairly recent lessons in learning a very hard lesson in Presidential races.

The Dems were all but making Novenas for RR to win the Repub nomination b/c JC would clean the senile B actor's clock.

The Repubs were laughing that the Dems were campaigning to NOT be the candidate when Bush Sr had a 91% approval rating in the year before the election

We all know how those two elections turned out. If the Repubs do not win I will not be pleased but life will go on and we have elections every few years. If the Dems do not win I think there will be Dem's heads exploding around the country.

I guanantee you, though, that it will be the election that decides it not the PRstories.

Grammie

We've already seen that in this campaign season, Grammie. Hil had the lock and GOP would implode. Look what happened.

I think McCain will be viewed as one term president and by then Obama will have had the opportunity to gain experience, which is something that has already been addressed by Peggy Noonan and which will be on the minds of voters. The war has not been the central issue for voters in the primaries, but you can bet that Obama's locking himself into a time line will be.

Say what you will about McCain: the questions from his detractors will be much easier to handle than those from his captors.

"If McCain shook hands with a Black Panther no one would care."

Proof that you don't take time to even read what I write. My comment was referencing a sarcastic hypothetical in which OBAMA might be found to have done such a horrible thing, ..... that could then be blown up into another fictional "association".

If Obama (or any candidate) shook hands with a Black Panther, no one would care. The Black Panthers page that was accessible from Obama's official web site became a problem when MSM found out about it. Obama conveniently "disappeared" it and disavowed the group's support. Why didn't he do the same for Wright or Ayers?

Grammie: "If the Dems do not win I think there will be Dems heads exploding around the country."

If being depressed because you see your country going down the tubes right before your eyes is the same thing as having your 'head explode', then you're certainly right.

For people like me, it's ALL about what is good for our country, and it's future, not some school rivalry.....and I have never been more convinced of anything in my life than I am that your side is totally wrong about what is good for America and it's future....especially your dogmatic belief that continuing a war that should have NEVER have happened is a good idea.

"If Obama (or any other candidate) shook hands with a Black Panther, no one would care."

Not a very convincing argument in light of the so called Ayers "association" in which the Hannitys of the world are making such a big deal about.

How do you think Obama has lost (and keeps losing) the voters he needs to win the general?

"For people like me, it's ALL about what is good for our country, and it's future, not some school rivalry...."

This is why people get ticked off at you. If someone does not have your view, well then that person does not care about the good of the country and its future.

"How do you think Obama has lost (and keeps losing) the voters he needs to win the general?"

Your question makes unprovable assumptions that I don't agree with at all.

He has now beaten the second most formidable of the three remaining viable candidates, and some blood was drawn in the process. Why would you have expected anything different?

What you are ignoring by continuing to focus on Wright is the fact that most people have already examined the issue from every angle, and have made up their mind about it's relative importance. The other thing you have discounted is Obama's reaction to the issue, which most see as a net overall positive whether you choose to believe it or not.

I am a businessman and I spent 20 years as an employee working as a corporate manager, and I have found that almost every negative gives you one opportunity to turn it into a positive - IF - you handle the situation correctly......I believe Obama has done that.

Continuing to pound on this dead dead horse risks a major backlash.

Sharon: "This is why people get ticked off at you. If someone does not have your view, ell then that person does not care about the good of the country and it's future."

Sharon, you should understand by now that I COULD CARE LESS who gets "ticked off at me" on this blog. I'm not here to win friends.....I am here because I have watched GW Bush literally take a jackhammer to America and it's cherished principles....and so few Americans seem to really see or care that it has happened.

And, oh yeah....I do understand thats my just my OPINION!

People on YOUR side routinely call names, label the opposition with negative stereotypes, question their patriotism, and attempt to marginalize everything they believe as radicalism (Cee being the most prolific example), and YOU don't say ONE damned word about it!......But just let me IMPLY (in your opinion only) that someone's opinion on your side has been marginalized, and off you go!

You are obviously a nice person, but you are also an example of someone who's mind is absolutely slammed shut regarding the War in Iraq - EVEN though you have admitted you weren't even paying attention to the issues when the whole sordid affair unfolded.

So get "ticked" at me all you damned well please....because I've been "ticked" at what the republicans have done to this country for seven years now!!!!

Are we clear?

That MikeH: He's a charmer.

"That MikeH: He's a charmer."

Believe it or not, my wife of 23 years thinks so!

Hillary's negatives, swooning college students and states with large African American populations helped Obama in earlier contests. FL and MI did not count. Hil is still in the race because the supers have not committed to Obama. She has won big states and has the support of voters who are in the demos needed to get elected. The supers are still mulling the backlash caused by Obama's lack of judgment in choosing political bedfellows (and a pastor) in exchange for cred in Chicago.

>>

Here we go, again. His 'beautiful' wife, his 4 cars, his 3 level house, his 4 pc's in every room, bla, bla, bla......

You forgot my self propelled weedeater.

Just our daily dose is what I forgot to say.

You know Mike, I posted on another blog a challenge to the pro-Obama supporters to name me one accomplishment (without googling or using a link found at another site)....

They all said the same thing...."he won the nomination".....or better yet....he destroyed "Billary."

The lack of superior, leadership-quality, putting your neck-out, standing alone SERVICE to the country and the people is stunning! Historically, the man has a very thin resume. This is a fact.

And in regards to me "marginalizing," again, take his views and place them on the political spectrum....left to right......you haven't a leg to stand on.....

The war
The role of the federal government in our lives
Abortion
Immigration policy
International Trade
Trade Unions role v/v government
Judical nominee evaluation
The role of the federal executive
Homeland security
Capital Punishment

He is far to the left of center. I am sorry that as a conservative, who believes in a limited federal power under the guiding principles of The US Constitution, that should be amended for expansion of any unenumerated powers, I disagree with your candidate and call a spade a spade.

And to dismiss issues like his personal beliefs and associations is also inexcusable because, again, history shows us people pay attention in the fall....Look at he Swift Boat Veterans for Truth...their campign only started AFTER the DNC and was effective....The issue of John Kerry's service and how he once degraded it and then paraded it with pride was only discussed among the Hannity's of the world until the fall campaign.....Wright will return as will "bitter cling-ons" and Ayers.....Powerful stuff (thanks to the extended primary season ESPECIALLY AFTER PA!), and especially because SNOBamessiah first chose not to disavow himself from Wright with THE SPEECH and then changed his mind ONLY after losing so badly in PA.....That will also be brought up in evaluating the man's honesty and judgement.

McCain has made clear he will not personally attack SNOBamessiah....he will remain the statesman that he is....but those political dogs at odds to the level with Chairman Dean and the rest on the other side will not hold back and I am sure the usual slop from both sides will be slung....SNOBamessiah is a snob, but he is no longer the "savior" he tried to make himself out to be these last 15 months and that is a very important development in its own right.

He is not post-racial or unifying....He will just have to run on like the Democratic nominees before him...policy wonk/anti-war/a nice smile.....

We'll see if it is enough for the higher number of electoral votes.

Mike: "For people like me, it's ALL about what is good for our country, and it's future, not some school rivalry.....and I have never been more convinced of anything in my life than I am that your side is totally wrong about what is good for America and it's future....especially your dogmatic belief that continuing a war that should have NEVER have happened is a good idea."

I'll try to keep in mind that you are not dogmatic and, unlike me and my ilk, really care about your country and are omniscient what will correct it to live up to your gold standard again.

Mike to Sharon: "So get "ticked" at me all you damned well please....because I've been "ticked" at what the republicans have done to this country for seven years now!!!!

Are we clear?"

I assume if I had not been at Little League and answered before Sharon you would have said the same to me so let me answer you. It is and has been perfectly clear that you climb up on your high horse and ride around in self righteous high dudgeon with no ambition other than to tell us in no uncertain terms how knowledgable, caring , sensitive, patriotic, loving and loved you are whereas we cretins who reject you and your superior wisdom deserve nothing better.

"Believe it or not, my wife of 23 years thinks so!"

Since you gave us the choice to believe it or not I feel free to suggest that if you behave with her the same way you behave here she may be afraid to suggest anything different.

Grammie

Grammie,

As a generous and loving soul who knows and is concerned for nothing so much as for what is best for the country and its citizens, I for one have been very reassured over the years at Mike's many assurances that his wife and friends find him chock full of qualities that have not managed to shine through these pages.

That's one less thing my deeply caring nature has to worry about...

Mmm....what was SNOBamessiah doing when he was 31 years old?.....

"McCain was awarded a Silver Star Medal for resisting 'extreme mental and physical cruelties' inflicted upon him by his captors from late October to early December 1967, the early months of his captivity, according to the citation. The North Vietnamese, according to the Navy, ignored international agreements and tortured McCain 'in an attempt to obtain military information and false confessions for propaganda purposes.'

"McCain, now the Republican Party's likely presidential nominee, was taken prisoner in October 1967 after he was shot down while on a mission over Hanoi. He wasn't freed until March 1973, after the United States signed peace agreements with the North Vietnamese. His captors tortured him and held him in solitary confinement. Still, he declined an offer of early release until those who had been at the prison longer than him were let go.

"That decision earned McCain a Navy Commendation Medal. Although McCain was 'crippled from serious and ill-treated injuries,' he steadfastly refused offers of freedom from those holding him prisoner. 'His selfless action served as an example to others and his forthright refusal, by giving emphasis to the insidious nature of such releases, may have prevented a possibly chaotic deterioration in prisoner discipline,' the citation says."

###
Oh yeah....At 31 SNOBamessiah was beginning his political career in 1992 in the Chicago machine by attending "the" church and rubbing elbows with the likes of terrorists like William Ayers.....

What a comparison of resumes!.....The chief executive of our country does not need accomplishment or leadership....only platitudes and emotionalism?

Weep, faint then weep again!

Cee: "I am sorry that as a conservative, who believes in limited federal power under the guiding principles of the US Constitution, that should be amended for expansion of any unenumerated powers...":..............That certainly doesn't explain your virtual worship of GW Bush, who represents none of the above expressed conservative principles.

Cee: "I disagree with your candidate and call a spade a spade":............You do far more than "disagree" with the man. You mutilate his name and drag him through the mud with unrelenting personal attacks that have nothing whatsoever to do with issues, but does demonstrate a decided lack of "principle" on your part.

Janet: "Since you gave us the choice to believe it or not I feel free to suggest that if you behave with her the same way you behave here she might be afraid to suggest anything diffeent."

What you seem absolutely blind to is that these kind of things are supposed to work BOTH ways!

- I can have my patriotism, my honesty, my ethics, and my sincerity attacked repeatedly....and Janet remains silent!

- I can have someone repeatedly resort to name calling against me while I do none of that myself......and Janet remains silent!

- The original OW troll who now uses a disgusting word as part of his own moniker can jeer and razz every comment I make while never actually making a counterpoint himself......and Janet remains silent!

- My own motives and humanity can be questioned repeatedly.....and Janet remains silent!

- But just let me appear to be questioning the patriotism or motives of someone you percieve to be on your 'side'......and Janet rises up with indignation!

The funny thing is that you decry both Olbermann and posters like myself for their lack of objectivity, when there is absolutely NOTHING objective about your own.

If you think I'm being insensitive to people such as yourself because I have nothing but contempt for your continuing to excuse not only a war that should never have been fought, but it's original house of cards rational for fighting it, then why in the hell would do you think I would care whether you like me or not? ..... And if you continue to make the mistake of confusing contempt for some of your opinions with contempt for you personally......then thats YOUR problem!

I'll continue to reserve such concern for the ONLY ones who have been asked to actually sacrifice for this travesty;.....the troops and their families!

God damn you, Janet!

?Worship?....Sorry Mike, my support of President Bush is because he has acted within the confines of the US Constitution as the chief executive and has lead a great force in protecting our country from further terrorist attacks since 9/11/2001.....almost 7 years now. He has been successful in meeting his FIRST and most important priority....protecting the US Constitution....both literally and figuratively.

Fighting for great and honorable ideals like democracy, freedom of thought and religion in Iraq against totalitarianism is the other rational reason why I support President Bush, along with 30-40% of my fellow Americans. That means millions, Mike...not a small group of people....nevermind the hundreds of thousands of brave men and women who continue to volunteer to serve in that great mission!

And what does that have to do with the current choices facing us in November?....Easy.....One candidate has NO accomplishments in leading or changing our country while another has served in war, AND been a major leader in The US Congress with real legislation accomplishments. One candidate is just right of center...even decried by the rightwing base of his party while the other is a radical leftist being pushed hard by the most liberal and anti-American constituencies we have. His opponents in the democrat primary have been THE CENTRISTS, while in the republican pary primary....the radical rightwing has been our candidate's most vocal critics!

These are FACTS.

The honorable Senaotr McCain will stick with the issues and not be negative in this campaign....he and his wife have made that clear. However, as a pro-America conservative I am more than happy to play the bad cop along with many others to bring the truth, finally, to the forum for people to make an informed judgement.

And please...you don't think "McSame," "McBush," the jokes about the man's age, the jokes that he is a Manchurian Candidate, and the lies about his divorce and personal life are not being pushed even HARDER by your leftist comrades, Mike? Grow up! This campaign is NO different than those before with regard to negative personal attacks on BOTH SIDES. I am glad Senator McCain is taking the high road....his history shows he usually has even against the attacks he was under in 2000.....

But to WHINE about how SNOBamessiah is being treated is beyond ridiculous. He is a far left candidate, it is FACT and it is fair game to say it, show the evidence for that label and allow the American people make their choice.

Oh, and McCain?....HE HAS TWO CHILDREN IN HARMS WAY IN THE CURRENT CONFLICT....he knows the sacrifice required, both personally from being a POW and now a father, to make a judgement to continue the honorable mission to help Iraq achieve complete stability like we did with Japan, South Korea and Germany. Surrendering may be what the pandering politics of the day ask, but it would be a mistake 10, 15, 20 years from now....And SNOBamessiah knows this and is hedging his "pull out at all cost" now....What a pathetic way to lead....He has had NO experience with foreign policy and only held his anti-war opinion in 2002 BECAUSE HE IS A RADICAL LEFTIST.

If you want to see what progressives REALLY think of McCain, go check out newshounds. It's not just one, either, mikeh. It's ALL of them! Be proud, they're on your side! Embrace them.

"I'll continue to reserve such concern for the ONLY ones who have been asked to actually sacrifice for this travesty;.....the troops and their families!" Mike....

The I expect much more respect from you in dealing with Senator John S. McCain, Mike......

CNN: In rare moment, Cindy McCain broaches her sons' service

http://tinyurl.com/6qk44c

Read it, watch Ms. McCain speak, and weep, Mike....From that position, WHICH MCCAIN DOES NOT EVEN BRING UP HIMSELF!.....the man speaks with authority AND honor....a position you seem to have NO RESPECT FOR......

Sorry....I do not get it.

"With regard to the other candidates running for president, [Senator McCain] added, 'I don’t say they are unqualified or unprepared. I’m saying I am the most prepared.'"

Yep, pointing out how pathetically underprepared SNOBamessiah is to lead the best group of men and women who are fighting for a just peace, security for democracy and freedom will be for the rest of us bad ol' repubs.....

"But to WHINE about now SNOBamessiah is being treated is beyond ridiculous, He is a far left candidate."

And YOU are a far right smear merchant....MUCH, MUCH further out of the mainstrean than Obama is.....and it is obvious that you are totally blind to that FACT.

And since your the one who brought up the subject of 'whining', excuse me, but that is pretty much ALL you do on this blog.

You WHINE about the "far leftists. You WHINE about the perceived associations of a candidate you can't find dirt on otherwise. You WHINE about how McCain is being treated, even though he is being treated quite respectfully by most.

All of your posts are nothing BUT one big WHINE, interspaced with childish monikers, labeling, and name calling.

And finally GW Bush has done anything BUT honor and abide by the constitution. I've thought about sending myself a copy in the mail with the hopes that he might intercept it one day and actually read it.

"Yep, pointing out how pathetically underprepared SNOBamessiah is to lead the best group of men and women who are fighting for a just peace,"

And just as it did with Hillary, such claims will continue to ring hollow to the majority of the American people who understand that more experience at doing the wrong thing is far worse than less experience at doing the right thing!

"And finally GW Bush has done anything BUT honor and abide by the constitution."

Like I have said on this very site since 2006.....IF George Bush has violated his oath to uphold the US Constitution it is THE DUTY of The US Congress to bring articles of impeachment to a vote and begin to remove him, and anyone else implicated, from office.

The FACT that not one commitee in the congress has brought such allegations to the fore totally destroys your claim....UNLESS those very democratic congresspeople are ALSO violating their oaths of office....

President Bush has not done ONE unconstitutional thing and to claim he did without the evidence of DUE PROCESS in silly, childish and un-American.

What you call whining I call debate...refute my claim SNOBamessiah is a leftist in ideology Mike....it should be easy if I am lying.

Refute the arguments that he is still a member of a church that teaches black liberation theology and his self described religious advisor was a large part of his life until only 10 days ago.

Refute the facts surrounding his support in his Illinois State Senate campaign, those who supported him and their history, words and ideology.

Refute the fact that he has never accomplished great legislative goals or been the leader of large groups of people or even served his country in the armed forces....

These are all I have said....why is it whining?

"I expect much more respect in dealing with Senator John S. McCain, Mike...."

I've shown nothing but respect for John McCain Cee, try as you might to pretend otherwise. ..... That said (AGAIN), I don't have to wish for or help him to become POTUS in order to maintain that respect.

My lack of respect has been solely reserved for the likes of YOU, ..... who has done nothing but post platitudes about false patriotism on a blog, when you could and probably should have done far more.

Cee: "IF George Bush has violated his oath to uphold the Constitution it is THE DUTY of the US Congress to bring articles of impeachment to a vote and begin to remove him."

That argument is SUCH a cop-out!

It's like claiming you were not REALLY guilty of speeding because the cop decided to give you a break.

"And just as it did with Hillary, such claims will continue to ring hollow to the majority of the American people who understand that more experience at doing the wrong thing is far worse than less experience at doing the right thing!"

Wrongo, Mike....SNOBamessiah opposed the war for all the WRONG reasons....

US hegemony
US arrogance
US (insert bad motive)

The radical left always opposes the policies of the US for the wrong reasons.....

He was not basing his anti-war position on insight or judgement....IT WAS IDEOLOGICAL.....

John McCain will not bring this up because, again, he is a statesman....but SNOBamessiah?.....the guy who called Hillary "Annie Oakley," just two weeks ago....we will see....

Being against something for the wrong reason is always a bad thing when you are supposedly a "leader."

And can I ask you something Mike?.....Do you know if SNOBamessiah discussed his anti-Iraq views in his speech before the DNC in 2004?......Google it and get back to me....IT IS VERY REVEALING!

Just another sign to how superficial and radical your nominee is.....

Would that mean that people off the street would make better public servants than someone who has been in office and made decisions (naturally including error in judgment) or are you just comparing pols to pols-- making the less experienced (and therefore having made fewer bad decisions) Obama better than Truman and Kennedy?

Good analogy... Pres. Bush has done nothing more than would be analogous to warranting a speeding ticket and this is why Congress doesn't waste the time of the American people and sends him on his way...

Agreed.

"It's like claiming you were not REALLY guilty of speeding because the cop decided to give you a break."

Mmmm, let's look at that logic....

Overlooking lead-foot Louie going 36 MPH in a 25 MPH zone is like violating a scared oath of office that steps on a revered document and imperils the freedom of millions of people.....

Yep....that's logical.....

Sorry Mike...the lack of legal due process SUGGESTS innocence and the claim is NOTHING BUT DEMOGOGUERY....

You are in OLBERMANN'S UNIVERSE, Mike....Do you write his SPECIAL COMMENTS?

Oh and respect?....you have disrespected the honorable Senator McCain and his sons currently serving with your support of the rhetoric of the left against him v/v the war, especially as it comes out of the foul mouth of one KEITH OLBERMANN.....you are the apologist for the slimey pseudojournalist on this site and he does nothing but disrespect McCain along with kos, HuffPo and other radical leftists you are in league with.....

Talk about "slime merchants."

"Overlooking lead-foot Louie going 36 MPH in a 25 zone is like violating a scared oath of office. "

You're not much at grasping the central POINT of an analogy, are you?

"you have disrespected the honorable Senator McCain and his sons currently serving with your support of the rhetoric from the left against him v/v the war."

LOL.....Give me a break! Next you'll be suggesting that the only way to "honor" McCain is to vote for him...or is that what you are already suggesting? ......... Talk about pretzel logic!

Stop with your hillarious spin already Cee....YOU are the only between the to of us who is 'sliming' an honorable presidential candidate in support of another. We have two great Americans running against each other....but one represents the flawed thinking of the recent past, while the other represents moving forward while rejecting ideas that have failed miserably.

Its no more complicated than that!

"Its no more complicated than that!"

Goodness knows, we're aware of that...

See that, mikeh? Those are your pals/cohorts over at the dog pound known as 'newshounds' which is a far left hate site, for sure! Be proud!

Mr. Sucks; I can assure you that my "pals and cohorts" are ALL right here in my general area and I don't know a soul at Newshounds. Not only that, my actual "pals and cohorts" have political beliefs that run from one extreme to the other.

Thanks for condoning it....

Let me reply to you, Mike, on a theme by theme basis. The first theme is Janet's craven refusal to stand up for right and against wrong
as you meticulously and in detail pointed out all my failuers:

"Janet: "Since you gave us the choice to believe it or not I feel free to suggest that if you behave with her the same way you behave here she might be afraid to suggest anything diffeent."

- My own motives and humanity can be questioned repeatedly.....and Janet remains silent!"

Mike, are you seriously openly declaring in a public forum that a woman just about old enough to be your mother had some obligation to fight your battles for you and you are upset that I did not do so and am hypocritical by my failure to protect you from all those meanies.

Secondly, when did you EVER stand up for me, or the other ladies here, who were continuously called sluts, slovens, whores, fag hags, Gag, Hag and Bag, vicious, snarling, sadistic, war monger, blood thirsty, liars and on and on and on by just ONE from your side that you complimented several times, Capon Flucker? When did you ever take Patsy and Flucker to task for their obscenities towards Cee and Royal King?

" But just let me appear to be questioning the patriotism or motives of someone you percieve to be on your 'side'......and Janet rises up with indignation!"
