"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)
Host: Keith Olbermann
Topics/Guests:
Finally, a week of the deranged Keith Olbermann ends. The opening spiel... Frack the opening spiel. It's casual Friday at Olbermann Watch.
#5: Drivel.
#4: Repellent claptrap.
#3: Boneheaded Hogwash, Orange-style.
#2: Obnoxious Lamebrained Biased Yelping.
#1: Keith Advances Repulsive Misinformation Again.
Sorry, that's all we could stomach of the infamous, deplorable tax cheater tonight. At that it's more than he deserves.

If it's Friday, it's our weekly assessment of Krazy Keith's masculinity. This week, Monkeymann attacked Fox and other broadcasters 26 times. Olby's source (Hillary Clinton's Media Matters) criticized (MS)NBC 9 times, but Keithy protected his corporate masters with zero criticisms. That makes this week's Olbermann Manhood Quotient: -70 [mama's boy limp].
And that's The Hour of Spin for this, the 760 day since the declaration that "Karl Rove will in fact be indicted".
In the Media Matters Minute, Oralmann lied about the Pinhead in Wednesday's "Pinheads and Patriots." In the B-roll for the Pinhead part, I didn't see any video of Brian Williams talking about gas prices. Instead, I saw "Military Suicides" and "Medical Report", which was about Obama, on the screen behind Brian. And as usual, Keithy left out the majority of what BOR said, mocked him with that hysterical Ted Baxter voice, and accused BOR of cutting and pasting from the eeevil NewsBusters. Look who's talking, Mr. Cut-and-paste-from-blue-blogs. Why is this man still on the air?
Here's what BOR really said via "The Factor" website at FOXNews.com (asterisks where Keith omitted info):
"On the pinhead front, both *Charles Gibson* and *Katie Couric* told their viewers that in May, U.S. casualties in Iraq were the lowest since the war there began.
But somehow, NBC's Brian Williams neglected to mention that. Somehow, old Brian could not work that in, *even though his network was the biggest offender of the explosion du jour in Iraq, carnage without context, that we exposed last year.* *Since then, it has stopped.*
*Anyway,* for ignoring what he has to know is an all-important story for America, Brian Williams is a pinhead.
Questions? Are you surprised?"
Man, that's a lot of stuff conveniently tossed out by Mr. Merkle.
Johnny, I'm sensing something here. Do I detect that perhaps your heart isn't wholly in this?
I'm sure it was just a change of pace. Johnny does that from time to time.
I was thinking of recording myself reading of the recaps and using that for this site. Good idea? Just something to float around.
GREAT idea, Mike!
MikeC that's a good question, "Why is this man still on the air?"
I think it ties in with, "Why is a man like Obama still in the Presidential race?"
The answer might be that there are allot more new age marxist drones then we thought.
God help America.
Let's put it this way. For various reasons Oralmann was just too much for me to take tonight. I have other fish to fry and recapping Bathtub Boy's bilge was just overloading my circuits.
While Oralmann was partaking in "Obnoxious Lamebrained Biased Yelping," I was on Route 110 on my way back from RnR (Rick Braun and Richard Elliot) at IMAC (Inter-Media Art Center) in Huntington, New York. It was time better spent. Even BOR is off tonight, but Fat Ass is desperate for ratings. By the way, I thought the Worser nod would be over BOR saying last night in "Reality Check" that "The Factor" beat all competition in every category Wednesday night. I guess his blue blog masters didn't report that.
I'll tell you Johnny there is many a night that I Tivo'd Olberbama (I hope that doesn't boost his ratings) and I just can't get myself to watch it. His pompous ass voice nauseates me to the core. Not to mention it's boring as hell. #5 - Obama is the messiah, #4 - Bush is Satan, #3 - McSame is an old f'in retard, #2 - See number 1, #1 - O'reilly blah (Kos) blah (Huff/Po) blah (ThinkProgress)
I give you and Robert allot of credit.
For someone who is feed his material from Media Matters and Daily Kos Ol'KO has a lot of b#lls attacking anyone for getting their news sources from Websites...new Murrow indeed.
Mike C., I'm with you 100% tonight. Keith's Olbypocrisy is glaring. He chides Mr. Bill for sourcing that "hilariously inept right-wing website Newsbusters", yet nightly populates his WPITW segment using trivial crap that that hilariously inept left-wing website Media Matters publishes.
Yes, Keith. You continue to "mail-it-in" as usual.
Dittos.
Mike C.- And thanks for providing the missing context. Not surprisingly, it takes the steam out of Bill's "Worser" nod. You should pinch-hit for ESchatz or something.
I should, John-O, but I'd overload my circuits like Johnny. A three-minute WPitW on the "Countdown" website is overload enough. But thank you sincerely for the suggestion. You're welcome for providing the missing context.
By the way, Worse tonight was the AP merely for a report that was slightly critical of Obama. *Any* critcism is an Olby no-no. Worst was Joe Lieberman, complete with a reference to he and Republicans as "Fascists" [ding!], a mock voice, and intentional mispronunciation of his last name ("Lyeberman").

Lately, when I hear "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor," I think of the beginning of Bob James' cover of "Farandole (L'Arlesienne Suite No. 2)" by Georges Bizet. He covered it on "One" in 1974 and "All Around The Town" in 1981 (recorded in December 1979).
I bring that up because "Toccata and Fugue" is the bed (broadcasting term) for WPitW.

Very "pithy" J$!
J$ was busy at the dog pound helping keep the Hounds of Asskerville at bay.
And covering our girl Megyn Kelly's back! Thanks, JD!

Oh, that's a great phrase. I hope you don't mind if I use it. Let's do a cyber fist-bump!
I am not sure if there are ANY readers of OW that go back to the very beginning but the way we began Olbermann Watch was dividing up the week among FIVE contributors each of whom took one night. Over time some folks drifted away or took on other roles. From time to time I've put a call out since then. Teddy was the first new roundup contributor since the original line up. So, there is a standing offer for clear-thinking OW readers to write roundups if they like. If people want to do a guest spot they can just ask and maybe take a Monday or Wednesday from J$. If anyone wants to be a regular contributor or a guest contributor wants to be turn into a regular contributor we would welcome that. There is no requirement to follow any particular style. J$ developed his own but in the original line up we each did our own thing. The main thing is that anyone who becomes a regular contributor would be expected to be fairly religious doing their one day a week (not perfect attenendence but to take it seriously and be both consistent and punctual (we want the pre-show posts up an hour or so before the show so readers can start commenting on the lineup and the post-show posts about within an hour of the end of the show. If interested send an email to my yahoo account at robert_a_cox. We'll be happy to coach any newbies who want to give it a try.
Bob, I remember Trey and Gary and some very articulate guy whose name started with an "n", I think.
Theres only so much of Olbermann one can stand. He's like Max Hedrum. He's annoying and spewing enemy Propaganda. That's why I call him Tehran Keith.

What a surprise. Olbermann lies about NewsBusters and then makes up a fiction about what O'Reilly says while Olbermann manages to be a hypocrite all at the same time. He of course does not show the tape of what O'Reilly really said. Nor does he show a transcript of what was actually on the Newsbusters site. Why doesn't Olbermann just say that O'Reilly ate a bag of live puppies on The Factor and then claim that Fox would not allow him to show the tape?
