In journalism....some of us get to neutrality and some of us don't.
KO peeling away the onion on his inner self.
Gregory is slobbering all over Olby. Phony as hell. These two can't stand each other. At least they are making nice during this homage to Tim Russert. Unlike Crazy Larry in the previous hours....
David Gregory was deliniating the things that made Tim Russert the fine person he was. 1. A proud man of faith. 2. A man who thought the most important things were marriage, children. 3. A man who took the high road at every opportunity, even with people he may have disagreed with ideologically. Meanwhile, Keith Olbermann sat there listening, nodding, looking a bit confused. Somewhere, somehow, he must have something in common with the great man who has passed away.
If anyone wants to see video from tonight's "Countdown," it's on the show's site:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677
Normally, I wouldn't link to there, but I'll make an exception tonight.
A proud father.
A dutiful son.
A real American.
A television icon.
Tim will be missed.
At the end of the Tom Brokaw segment Tom says, "He (Russert) raised the bar very high, we have to try to keep it there."
You have to wonder what went through Russerts mind as he sat across the table from Olbermahn at the debate recaps. He probably said,"How did this prick get here." And "What did I do to deserve this?" I never really knew how much I appreciated Tim until today.
I hope they don't replace him on Meet The Press and just show reruns. At least, for a while.

Excellent points Dan. Tim was so generous that he went across the aisle to Hannity and gave him 10,00 dollars for Sean's charity that paid the college tuition for children who's parent had fallen in Iraq. He told Sean not to tell anyone and Sean didn't until now. This is how a true Christian gives, unanimously. Tim was a REAL Democrat who, I felt, hated this marxism crawling in and destroying the party.
Keith will never get it. I predict that as the accolades come out about Tim that Kieth will lose it. He's a weak man that will be haunted by Tim's spirit. He will leave broadcasting and die alone, forgotten.

Chrissy Mathews and Keith decided to use Tim Russert’s death to call him a naive fool who was duped by the Bush administration into thinking Saddam was a threat. At least Keith had the brains to change the subject. Sorry Chrissy and Keith, I would rather be a silly patriotic American than an Iranian propagandist.
I thought Matthew's statement about Russert's view on the war should have been kept private. Russert (according to Matthews) cites that fear of nukes were the driving reason to go into Iraq. It appears at the time, that even Russert believed (like everyone else) that Saddaam had WMD.
Russert was clearly a very private person politically who probably would have prefferred that Matthews not talk about what was clearly....a private conversation.
Plus, Matthews teed it up like.....maybe I shouldn't be saying this....before he said it
Guess what Chris?....you sold out Russert to the leftist loons who adore and praise Keith every night. On a night of respect and reverence, you found a way to pummell Bush and Company.....and the funny thing was.....Olby wasn't even prying for it.
Chrissy was so bad doing that that he did the impossible...he made KO look good in comparison..and that's saying alot.
One of the real sad things about the passing of Russert is Chrissy and Mathews are now more then ever the face of the new MSM..and were going to get to sit back and watch as they and the rest of the new Media do everything in their power to place Lord Obama in the White House..He won't be challenged and anyone that dose will be labeled a Racist..FOX news will be savaged for any negative reports they do on the new Savior.
And once Lord Obama is in the WH the Dems' will move(as they have already started)to bring back the "Fairness Doctrine" to silence Conservative talk radio,St.Hilliary made comments about controlling the Internet(IE:Websites like this)and I'm sure his Lordship will agree...and I'm also sure the Dems will see what PC/Hate crime Laws they can up with to use against FOX..such as the ones in use in Canada and Europe.
I don't think I'm going overboard with my fears...because as I said they have already started to work on the Fairness Doctrine and Canada and Europe both do have strict limits on what they rule "Hate" speech and the Dems will follow their lead just watch...and KO will be there cheering his Overlords on..New Murrow indeed.

I meant KO and Mathews..I don't think the world could take 2 Chrissy's. LOL!!!
