I saw this segment this morning and I said to myself, "Self, they just earned themselves a WPITW." Mainly due to the dissing of KO and MSNBC. That, and mentioning the lovely lady who got the job that Keith wanted.

I noticed that KO didn't mention the KOS people who made horrible remarks about Russert and also those who said to "wait until the body is cold."

What a d-bag.

To imply anything other from that tape, than Olbermann and crystal- metth-ews are the biased ones is,... lets see,,, crazy!? The Russert is a lib message must have been subliminal!! The douche-baggery at msnbc is boundless!! Also, wasnt it funny to see Keithy have to hand the non-news event of Gore, Obama to Abrams?!! He was pissed!!!

I'm glad you included that video, J$. I knew when I saw Jimmy Legs Olbermann complain about Fox News that it was a lie.

What's sad is that people who only get their news from Blue Blogs or Quivering Lips Keith won't know what he said was blatantly false.

I had to choke back a tear just thinking about Big Keith and Me by Tim Russert.

The segment was very fair and very honest. They admitted that even though Russert came from democratic politics, he went out of his way to be fair to both sides. I don't think he was always fair to both sides, but I don't think it was for a lack of trying. You can't say that about most people in the media today.

Like Justin, I saw the F&F segment and knew immediately that KO was going to make them the WPITW. After all, they committed the terrible crime of not showing the "proper" respect for KO. In KO's narcissistic mind, he cannot separate negative comments about him from the positive comments about Tim Russert. I am tempted to think he is so disturbed that he really did hear this segment as disparaging Russert if it were not for the fact, as noted by Johnny, he did not produce a single quote or show a single clip, not even a doctored quote.

BTW, I have to give credit to whoever thought up and created the photoshop photo of "Big Keith and Me." My initial reaction is that it was exactly what KO would try to claim. However, I had a mixed response. I read "Big Russ and Me." It is an outstanding book that provides insight into the complex processes that help shape one's values. The comments I have heard about Russert, which I fully agree with, make it clear that he was an order of magnitude more professional than KO and routinely displayed two orders of magnitude more humanity. No one will ever write a book about KO, not even an Olbyloon, emphasizing his humanity.

The chyrons (is that the right word?), except when it was identifying Breibart, was about equally divided between:

A NEW'S ICON
RUSSERT"S DEATH LEAVES BIG VOID

REPLACING RUSSERT
BIG SHOES TO FILL

This wasn't KO mispeaking or misinterpreting something that was said on Fox. He is plain old fashioned flat out lying!

The only thing I can think is that he could only so brazenly lie if he knows management at NBC/MSNBC approves and condones it.

Well KO sure hit bottom and kept on digging..FOX has shown nothing but respect for Russert a heck of a lot more than KO and Chrissy who both took advantage of the death of their "Friend" to go off on their own personal rants that had nothing to do about remembering a REAL Newsman...New Murrow indeed.

So, what's his name's primary complaint was the WPITW Fox morning program didn't wait till after the funeral to do a classless segment dismissing Tim Russert, continuing to feed the delusions of their viewers that the failure of their lives is the fault of somebody else, like TV news, and finding an excuse for the daily two minutes (of) hate, and this time it's gotta be Tim and whoever might succeed him. The problem, as put forth by what's his name, is that, of course, they could not wait till after the funeral to do those things that they do because that's what Fox news does.
Ok, as far as I can tell, there are two, and only two explanations for this. Feel free to vote for your choice.

1. What's his name was talking about a completely different segment on the Fox morning program than the one linked above.

2. What's his name creates an egregious litany of totally false premises out of thin air that are not only facts not in evidence but are clearly contrary to any realistic perception of the event for the sole purpose of slandering his competition and self-aggrandizement while simultaneously sullying the good name of an honorable man he pretends to revere. That's one sick puppy!

He's making a slow slide into insanity. Can't we all see the paranoia that grips this shell of a man? He thinks he's capable of discerning the evil in the hearts of others and they are all out to get him! He actually believes his own bizarre thought processes and wishes. He feels that divine truth, as he sees it, is his gift to man. He has become David Koresh and KOS his followers.

I wouldn't doubt that genius runs in his family. However, I bet mental illness does too.

He's now realizing that unlike Russert no one will really miss him when he's gone. He's probably seizing that he promoted Maddow and she will be his successor.

Keith Olbermann is once again projecting.....He and his allies on kos have been the classless ones since Friday...some being very critical of Russert and his supposed support for the Iraq War (even Matthews mentioned this THE SAME DAY RUSSERT PASSED AWAY!).

I watched the FOX clip first, then the WPITW clip and there was no evidence of what Olbermann claimed. It is a fact that Tim Russert was a part of the very liberal democrat, Mario Cuomo's staff and hence it is accurate to discuss this. I did not get the impression that FOX NEWS was blaming anyone for other people's problems as Olbermann claimed nor did they in anyway disrespect Mr. Russert.

Keith Olbermann is the one using Tim Russert's death both as space filler for his pathetic program and as a platform on THE DAILY KOS website to engender support and sympathy....for himself.

He is a pathetic person. NBC NEWS must dismiss this troubled individual ASAP!

I hate Keith and his super-young girlfriend Katy. They are living proof that ideology and who you're sleeping with will get you far. But if you're a moderate Republican with seven years combined experience in TV production (albeit in college and public access) and hosting/running a radio show and Live365 Internet Radio station will get you absolutely nowhere. I'm referring to myself.

Tim Russert’s death hit me particularly hard.

Every Sunday morning was spent watching MEET THE PRESS and by my unscientific barometer Tim was one of the most fair and balanced guys out there, because he cheesed me off only HALF of the time.

When Tim would get someone from the left in his sights….I’d be cackling like Snidely Whiplash, but when he had someone from the right in the hot seat….I’d be looking for something to throw at the TV.

Anyways, once Brokaw, Mitchell, Schieffer and Williams had paid their heart-felt respects, I should have changed the channel….but since I wasn’t quick enough, was treated to Chris Matthews telling us that Tim was a rube for buying into the administrations reasons for war, and Keith’s assertions that “Tim liked me best, and I have the emails to prove it”… pitiful.

And now we have accusations from KO that FOX was “hateful” toward Tim….

Well Keith, until you can produce said tape…allow me to give you the same advice you gave our president and SHUT THE HELL UP!
