To begin with, Clark made the perfectly reasonable and defendable statement that being a serviceman under fire does NOT qualify you to be POTUS. Some had a problem with that perfectly true statement....I do not. Therefore, it was hardly an "attack" on "McCain's Military record".

Second, there is NO evidence (zero) that he 'had' Clark or anyone else make that remark. Clark is his own man just like every other pundit and is free to express his own opinion. What is wierd is the way some people accuse every loose canon remark as having been somehow 'authorized' by his campaign.

Third, I just saw Clark being interviewed and he doesn't act like someone who feels like they were thrown under a bus.

Whew! That Special Comment left me dizzy. What other Prez candidate ever had such a braintrust? The issue was laid out from end to end and dissected with a razor sharp intellect that could butter bread from 20 paces. The "Olbermann Network" never fails to astound and amaze. And amuse. It's interesting. With all of the hoopla over the last few days from many blogs (especially KOS) and TV about the upcoming special comment, you'd think his ratings for the night would've been up quite a bit, but they were flat. I find this encouraging. Maybe many thought as I did. Even with the controversy he created, I didn't care. I think he's on borrowed time.

I hope so. If Barry Nolan can be fired from CN8, why can't Keith be let go from (MS)NBC?

It may have been due to it being a holiday week. Lots of people out of town and such. Even with this "horrible" economy. Were the numbers down across the board? I haven't looked.

BOR was down, but he's on vacation. Even at that "The Factor" did pretty well last night.

Just to add. Olbermann was down last week too. Most nights below 1M. During the final days of the primary he was consistently at 1.2 +. A drop of nearly 200K over the last couple of weeks is huge. Very telling.
