This is Keith Olbermann's blog, the one he chose to sign up for and uses to promote his program and special comments. So it will surprise no one that just moments after the unexpected and tragic death of Tim Russert, the Kossacks seize the occasion to hype the career of the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann:
Olbermann Watch extends its deepest sympathies to the family of Tim Russert, who will be in our prayers.
This reminds me of the death of Paul Wellstone, soldier deaths in Iraq, the Coretta Scott King funeral, etc... Leave it to hate filled libs to use the death of someone for their own political motives.
Man!!!! I was talking about this in the Russert's passing post and to see that the Kossacs are trying to take advantage of this to get their man on one of the most respected news show on the air is just sad..and I 'm afraid that this will be an opening for KO to try to take the MTP show.
But God could you imagined what MTP would be like with KO as host?...since He doesn't interview anyone with opposing viewpoints His show will only have Dems and Liberal members of the Media on and if Lord Obama is President then it would be a hour of KO and company fawning over him and if it's McCain it would be an hour of over the top McCain bashing...either way it would be horrible.
I think I can safely say that Tim Russert would be outraged if He knew his beloved program would be taken over by KO and the Kossacs and I hope NBC has the common sense not to go with KO...if for any reason than respect for Russert.
KOS:
WE and AMERICA needs KO more than ever. (0+ / 0-)
No, not as a replacement, YET. But we need his special comment tonight. I am anticipating the most powerful spoken words in the history of television tonight from KO. Only he can get us through this pain.
People power = LGBTQ marital rights = OBAMA '08!

Keith is doing a wonderful job right now. (0+ / 0-)
He, and only he, could handle this situation so brilliantly. I hope Rache joins him soon, America needs both of them right now.

I want to puke
That didn't take long, did it? As BOR would say after quoting or showing vile comments or posts, "This is the Daily Kos." I don't know what else to say.
KOS 3 in a row. Notice the irony:
I'm Proud of dkos (1+ / 0-)
I can't imagine a mature, thoughtful and empathetic response like this coming from the other side of the shoe were on the other foot.
Proud to be a part of this community and this movement...

Me too! I was just telling my wife that (0+ / 0-)
Kossacks can be blisteringly critical, but our community can really come together in warm tribute when
necessary.

I feel sorry for him (1+ / 0-)
and his family, but never appreciated him as a interviewer. He always seemed to take it to the Dems (often using Republican talking points), and held back the reins on conservatives. He seemed to know which side his bread was buttered, and that to keep any doubt at bey on his political past, he erred on the side of ambushing Dems.
Cases in point:
Leading a journalists roundtable during the height of the Lewinsky hysteria, Russert says with a smirk, "Why do we love this story so much? Is it the sex?"
Russert personnally tried to stop Howard Dean's candidacy with questions like, "How many standing troops are there? Shouldn't a commander in chief know that?" All when W can't add 2 and 2.
Kissing Condi's arse after her terrible performance as a public servant and asking her cloyingly if she was running for president.
He finally did question Cheney fairly hard in their last interview, but that was when public opinion had turned against the war.
Too bad there wasn't more sex involved in Iraq.

1 more from the "I don't care who dies" Kossacks:
I would say something about Rove having (0+ / 0-)
a hand in this for the Valerie issue, but that would be bad form.
RIP Mr. Russert.

It is clear that the Kos Kidz have gone off their meds.
These Kos loons are slimy ghouls. They truly hate anyone who does not goose step to their bankrupt ideology. The conspiracy theories are just insane. Jack Welch made Russert call the election for Bush??? Russert is a republican?? Russert worked for two democrats. What monsters these people are.
Andrea Mitchell is interviewing Chris Matthews, who sounds like he is distraught. Such a sad situation.
None of what was cited from The Daily kos surprises me.
The really surprising thing is that it may even be possible that NBC NEWS could consider the faux journalist to take the place of the fair and skilled Tim Russert.
Like I mentioned on J$'s site, Russert was a frequent guest on Imus' radio program and he always came across as a nice, down to Earth guy. I will miss him there and on MTP.
The Kos community are ghouls.
My sympathies to the Russert family.

Crazy Larry, appearing with A. Mitchell and D. Gregory on MSNBC, just took the opportunity to bash Bush and Cheney while the panel is remembering and eulogizing Tim Russert and his work on Meet the Press.
Stay classy, Crazy Larry. What a loser.

This is my first time here and I would like to thank Robert for giving me the opportunity.
Tim Russert was a giant in his profession and one of the truly fair and balanced journalists in this nation.
His family and friends will be in my prayers.
Watching KO anchor a day of remembrances for Tim, I’ll take it at face value that his grief is real, and the honors he sends Tim’s way are from the heart.
But what I want to know Keith, is what about tomorrow?
Will you honor the memory of Tim and all he taught you?
I’m sure Tim will be watching, and so will we.

Welcome aboard, Jim.
Welcome, Jim. Nice to meet you.
The one guy I could stomach on that network, and he's gone. He was a dem, but at least he didn't wear it on his sleeve, and wasn't over the top, like everyone else there. I'll miss him cause he gave everyone a fair shake. Thinking about it, how the hell did he end up on More Slanted News By Communists.
May you rest in peace Tim.
I posted from my new Smartphone, MikeC and I kept getting an error message saying try again later. Wow, nine times! My post(s) obviously went through everytime, but my phone just did not reload the page. Sorry.
Nice Jim. You are a better person than me. I cannot give Olbermann any benefit of the doubt when it comes to tomorrow....He will always be the snide partisan that is the antithesis of Tim Russert.
Miracles do happen, but I am not so sure they occur in the political punditry class.
