Keith Olbermann was in hog heaven last Friday. He cackled with glee (inappropriately blended with feigned outrage) over Scott McClellan's claim that the White House fed talking points to Sean Hannity and particularly Bill O'Reilly:
OLBERMANN: The Bush White House routinely sent, and as far as we know, still sends literal talking points to FOX News for its primetime propagandas. Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and the others spout... The line is between appropriate communications there and how the O'Reillys and Hannitys and friends and the White House, in this case, cross that line...
Only problem? It isn't true, at least as far as Bill O'Reilly is concerned. But don't take our world for it. Take the word of Scott McClellan himself:
McCLELLAN: We sent out a lot of talking points to a lot of people. And certainly there were people that--pundits and commentators--O'REILLY: But not me.
McCLELLAN: Other people that--
O'REILLY: Other people I don't care about, Scott.
McCLELLAN: I know--that were friendly and were sympathetic to us.
O'REILLY: Fine, then you deal with them as you want to. But I never received the talking points, correct?
McCLELLAN: I never said you did...
O'REILLY: Getting them talking points, Sean and Bill.
McCLELLAN: But there were people, there were people. Not you. Not you. But there were people.
Flashback to our Friday night recap, where we didn't question anything McClellan said, except for one thing:
In other words, they were talking about two hosts (one if you don't include O'Reilly, who is a most unlikely recipient) out of the entire Fox lineup.
Note that Olbermann claimed he talked to McClellan on Friday, but didn't put him on the air. Did McClellan also tell Olby that O'Reilly never got talking points? Did Oralmann go ahead with his on-air smear knowing that he was lying yet again? What happens tonight? Does Herr Olbermann pretend like this news never happened? Does he launch a new attack on O'Reilly to distract from his embarrassment? Anything is possible on OlbyPlanet.
Be that as it may, you read the truth first right here at OlbyWatch, mere minutes after The Hour of Spin concluded. And it has been confirmed by none other than Keith Olbermann's own source! Ah, the beauty of it all.
You can hear O'Reilly's entire interview with Scott McClellan here.
Well in less than a week ol'KO is caught lying about O'Reilly again and still isn't man enough to admit it...When McClellan worked for Bush..KO and others in the MSM thought he was lying all the time..but now they believe every word he says?..how about some fact checking there KO before reporting his word as "fact".New Murrow indeed.
this will not matter to the insane left like Olbermann & his blind followers. They are not like normal people, they have no shame.
Once again, Olby's caught in a lie
Only moonbats believing this guy
Keith dumps another load
Crock of crap overflowed
Compared to Bill-O, Keith's just a fly
Johnny$ we need a video of Olbermann saying O'Reilly gets talking points and then McClellan apologizing to O'Reilly and then Olbermann saying "we're dreadfully Sorry".
Thanks

"They are not like normal people, they have no shame."
I love it.
It's true. The Goon is just a middle-aged moron who uses childish antics, embarrassing language, and false witness to win the favors of fantasy-based, morally confused, whiners peddling in hysteria.
Russert must be proud.
What I haven't quite gotten my head around yet, is why NBC never seems to tighten the leash on him - at least for the sake of respecting their line of work....
Because...after all is said and done, all we have in life is our integrity. And Olby has thrown his under the bus [DING!] a long, long time ago.
> Johnny$ we need a video
If there were more people doing recaps then i'd have time to make more movies.
