If it's Tuesday, it must be day two of the four-day Olbergasm. So get your shovels and prepare for another night of convention fun and games.
In addition to slapping down Joe Scarborough last night (will he be allowed to speak in King Olbermann's presence any more?), it appears the Kossacks are chattering about Bathtub Boy walking off the set when Pat Buchanan was speaking. Of course, Oralmann insists it was all planned that way, but we know better, don't we? Mr "I know how to keep my opinions separate" did a great job doing that last night, as he all but declaed the election over on the first night of the convention!
Whether you watch the Fox team, the Wolf team, or suffer through Fat Ass and The Drooler (we wouldn't blame you if you couldn't bear it), here's your thread to express your comments on the developments and the coverage.
Seriously, KO is now telling the Kossacks when he has to go to the bathroom, and they actually care. Maybe I should add this important event to my diary.

Get flushed, Olby.
Well there was a Scarborough sighting tonight. He was boldly proclaiming how the new daily gallup poll showed McCain leading Obama by a 2 point margin. Way to go Joe, don't back down from that slimy hack. Although it is tough to say how much more TV time he will garner after that.
Maybe there was a bathtub in that bathroom?
The hoarse Terry McAuliffe is lying through his teeth. Hillary supporters cannot stand Barry. All that talk of party unity is nothing but the Dems blowing smoke. The dead-cat bounce from the Biden veep selection and those poll numbers have the Soetoro campaign smarting.
Olbermann was in can, my ass. That guy is a coward. He'll wait til he gets back to the safety of 30 Rock before going after Buchanan.
Joe Scarborough is going out with a blaze of glory. He pounded slippery Shuster this morning and made him run crying off the set. That won't make Vladimir Olbermann happy. Shuster is one of Olbermann's farvorite sock puppets. O'Reilly even use the clip on his show to mock MSDNC. Oh the pain. And guess what network beat MSDNC at their own party? Fox News Channel.

They trashed the Great Gallup polling organization a couple of hours ago. Apparantly, Chuck Todd and others are suddenly finding problems in the methodology of the pollsters.
McCain also has a lead in the Gallup daily tracking poll.
The polling organizations have great difficulty covering the cell-phone only households which can't be contacted via an automatic dialer. If any organization is contacting cell-phone only homes, they have to hand dial the numbers.
So, the polling organizations are probably imputing the missing coverage. And the conventional wisdom is that the cell phone only households are younger, ethnic, lower income and very Obama.
The poll they just flashed on Hillary WSJ.... +/- 6.8% !!!
That is junk.
Pat Buchanan predicts Hillary will go all out in the guise of party unity, but she will not skewer McCain.
Oh, Lord - Butchie Madcow claims Hillary is being "used". Madcow is delusional. When it comes to revenge, the Clintons know what they are doing. She thinks Hillary has said everything she can to support Barry. LOLOLOL. It's not what Hill said, it's what she means.
Go Pat: He bashes on Obama, saying that Hillary was the best thing the Dems had going. He says Obama can't deliver to the jeers of the crowd. And Pat is not backing down.
The train is blowing smoke and noise just like Olby. Good timing, conductor.
Quads,
I guess they were dialing the cell phones by hand when Obama was 15 points up a month ago.
Fat Ed Rendell is so full of crap: He was bashing the media over their Obama coverage in the papers today, calling it "embarrassing"; now he is at the convention calling McCain a fraud. The Hillary supporters are laughable in their fraudulent attempt at party unity. Really, Ed: You're trying waaaay too hard.
Ed says Fox News was fair and balanced during the primaries and he was named WPITW. Nice dig on Fat Ass.
wow...saw the joe scarborough stuff. He just out Howard Bealed Fat Ass
I've had the FOXNews.com Strategy Room stream up since 5:30. I had it muted while I was out of the room until 6:45. Then, I watched until "The Factor" came on. Now, I'm watching it again while FNC is muted.
Unlike the rest of you, I'm not going to switch to the bad guys (MSNBC or CNN).
Ed Rendell (D) "I said Fox News had the most balanced coverage during the primaries and I became The Worst Person in the World"
Now who could have said that?

As a person that used to be heavy, can we not make fun of Gov. Rendell in that way? I'm fine with calling Keith "Fat Ass" because he actually deserves it. I'm probably too compassionate/sensitive for this place, aren't I?
I see Dick Morris is on "H&C." I've had my fill of him for today. I saw him on "The Factor" last night, "F&F" this morning (late this afternoon on my DVR), and the Strategy Room two hours ago.
I think we all know the answer, Factor. ;-)
Mike, have you ever seen Ed Rendell from the neck down?
Oh my word, Spike Lee is discussing race. He's not biased, is he?
If you have insomnia, here is the cure: Bob Casey is speaking on the convention floor. Witnessing his speeches is like watching paint dry.
Dennis Kucinich is on the Strategy Room right now! And his wife!
Hey Bob Casey: The people of PA cannot afford any more of plump Ed Rendell, who looks as if he hasn't bypassed a cheesesteak in decades.
Factcheck.org says Casey is wrong on McCain's voting record with Bush policies, btw.

Spike Lee on race?? LOL Who are they going to interview next? David Duke?
What channel was Spike on? In video that was shown on "The Factor" 40 minutes ago, he told Jesse Watters "I don't do Fox." And very vocal anti-Fox people could be picked up in the background.
Shepard Smith is chiding an e-mailer who said she got into politics because of Ted Kennedy and brought up what Philly brought up last night.
Making some notes as the clowns perform.
The Drool Meister says Casey made a real "stemwinder" of a speech. You have got to be kidding me. He could put you to sleep in about 45 seconds.
Now I am behind because I was into the Ice Road Truckers. So far they are more interesting, more courageous and more real than anything I have seen here in two nights.
Did anyone hear of Mattews chiding Olbermann about something? They got in a spat supposedly.
Just posted video of that incident as an update to our top post.
Listening to Billary. Sounds like she is still campaigning. Same old stuff. Always kind of felt sorry for her presentation style. All the right stem winding words for her guys but, no body language, no emotion, measured and stilted looks left, right and center just like they teach you in public speaking school. Eye contact without really doing it. Look at their foreheads. No casual comfort with the message. Jeez. I sound like I would vote for her. Not.
What are the bad boys going to say? Great speech. Just the right tone. Paid her dues to King Barack. If God forbid he loses she will be the heir apparent in 4 years. She is back in the fold. Brought in her troops for the King. If this doesn't work out we owe her no matter what we said about her in the primairies. Hell. Why should I watch them. I already know the message.
Matthews may be an asshole but he knows his stuff. He is a junkie on this stuff. Must drive him crazy to have to share time with the moron. In the primaries they dueled because he kept asking an Obama supporter what the Kind had ever done or accomplished. The supporter (some congressman from Texas) kept readily admitting that he could not cite any examples. Fatass just about took Matthews head off for that.
Hitlery's speach in a nut shell-
I ran a historic wonderful campaign for all women. I am the hope for all women. Life was wonderful while Bill was in office getting blow jobs. John McCain is a nice guy but he is a republican. Oh and vote for Obama because he is democrat and I am a democrat
Hillary just gave her acceptance speech with Obama support inserted here and there.
The Official Network for The Obama Campaign chief spinpersons and Obama endorsers, Chrish and Low Blow KO, began the party hearty line without pausing to take a breath.
"Couldn't have done better. Let's bring in Rachel Maddow...I'll wait for the applause to die down....MY FRIEND,..."
Factor: "Hitlery's speach in a nutshell-"
It's always interesting and amusing to come her and see what my favorite Nazi's distorted take on reality is.

It's always rather fun and amusing to come here and see my favorite Nazi's distorted take on reality.
I actually like Pat Buchanon, as misguided as he often is.....but it is really interesting the way the only conservative on the panel seems to frame every politician's motives in purely selfish terms without regard to the possibility that they just might be doing something for the good of the country.....rather then themselves.
By MikeH on August 27, 2008 12:08 AM
Excellent observation.
Did you happen to notice if the liberals on the panel and the liberals at the anchor desk or the liberals reporting from the floor of the convention had the same take on every politician's motives or was it just the Republican politicians whose motives were framed in purely selfish terms?
Submitted for your consideration, one man, unlike any other, surronded by thousands yet alone, at this time, at this place, with a self-perception that can only be described as terminally unique, a mesmerist confronted for the the first time in his adult life by his own fallibility, steps out of reality and falls into a shovel dug hole called The Meltdown Zone.
"Grand Slam! Grand slam, out of the ball park, across the street, across the buildings across the street."
"Five, six, maybe seven campaign slogans in that speech, starting out from the initial get go, a sock to the jaw of disunity. A speech that started about Barak Obama, a proud American, a proud democrat, a proud senator and a proud supporter of Barak Obama. Then alot about her, some about George Busssssh, twisting it all back to get her supporters to recognize that their goals are now best served by Barak Obama. Then Michelle, then Biden, then several key...probably the strongest (1 garbled) against John McCain we've heard at this convention and finally tying it all back together."
"I don't know how it could have been better. I don't know how it could have been better, Chris."
BREAKING NEWS:
MSNBC's Olbermann Rushed to Hospital
MSNBC 8/27/2008
For immediate release
Denver, CO
MSNBC President Phil Griffin released a statement early this morning announcing the hospitalization of the highly regarded co-anchor of NBC News and MSNBC Democratic National Convention coverage.
Griffin's statement reads, "We are saddened to report that Keith Olbermann was rushed to the University of Colorado Hospital early this morning after being examined by a doctor in the President's Suite at the Warwick Denver Hotel.
Keith's recent behavioral swings ranging from obnoxiousness to euphoria were causing concern among several of his co-workers and friends. A doctor was called in at aproximately 5:00 am MST to examine him.
Keith was diagnosed with acute hypoxia (oxygen deprivation) that was a result of the combination of Denver's
mile-high altitude with Keith's lofty opinion of himself.
He is resting comfortably and is expected to make a full recovery.
Tom Brokaw will fill in as co-anchor untill Keith is able to return.
Keith asked me to relay a message to his fans that he will be back before his seat gets cold.

Well, now that you mention it.......I DID notice Keith Olbermann speculating as to whether Hillary's motives might actually be for the good of the country rather than herself.
