We are, of course, talking about the Daily Kos. Keith Olbermann's blog of choice. He raises money for them. He blogs there. He posts comments there, at all hours--even while he's on the air. He periodically invites King Markos himself onto The Hour of Spin to sit in the Seat of Honor (without disclosure of their relationship).
So when Keith Olbermann's blog decides to make Sarah Palin and her daughter the targets of gutter slanders based on zero evidence, it's not surprising that someone is going to call them out on it. Tonight, that role fell to Mr Bill O'Reilly, who gets props for noting that a certain Peacock commentator (the infamous, deplorable one) actually writes for the smear site:
We know that Keith Olbermann runs MSNBC. Does he run NBC News as well? Did he demand the right to post at this verminous pest hole? Why did Phil Griffin give Keith, and only Keith, his dispensation to write at a site whose partisan purposes and putrid practices are well known?
One thing is clear: by making this special exception for Keith and Kos, the Peacock network has given them both its imprimatur. As long as Keith Oralmann's bosses (if there are any left) permit him to keep contributing to the site, they are lending NBC's brand and credibility to the Daily Kos toilet. They have given Kos the NBC stamp of approval.
Get your Kos smears, verbal filth, and character assassination...now brought to you by NBC News.
UPDATE: MSM reporters in St Paul "rabid" over the smears and rumors from Kos/NBC. Just like with John Edwards, right?
UPDATE UPDATE: With nothing better to do, having maneuvered his way out of having to deal with those terrorists in St Paul, what better than to while away the hours posting on the NBC-approved Daily Kos, in a thread about Palin being part of a Karl Rove plot, chosen by McCain so he could meet more women?
For the record, let me just say that you guys do great work.
J$ and Mr. Cox are indispensable.
Olbermann must continue to be exposed for the fraud that he is - and always has been. He will be discredited and shunned by responsible Americans until NBC will be put to task to answer for their folly.
Karma cannot be eluded forever.
Thanks.

Amen, J$....The DailyKos is a hate filled communty and Keith Olbermann is one of its regulars.
The homage Obama and the rest of left's ruling class pays to the radicals is illustrative of how far the democrat party has veered from the mainstream. Both The Democratic Party and NBC NEWS should be ashamed of themselves.
VERO POSSUMUS!
Well, it's obvious why Olbermann is allowed to write for Daily Kos. They are the people who have raised MSNBC's ratings.
MSNBC went through several years where they tried to woo conservatives with a show hosted by Alan Keyes and later a show with the horrible Michael Savage. If either of these hosts had been as successful in garnering Olbermann's numbers, I doubt MSNBC would have much problem with their blogging at Townhall, etc.
I'm not arguing that Keith Olbermann is not the man-crush of MSNBC honcho Phil Gramm. That's obvious too. Gramm allowed Olbermann to sit in his bathtub because he didn't want to talk about Lewinsky on his vehicle The Big Show, and Gramm is essentially allowing Olbermann the same thing by letting a convention coverage anchor sit hundreds of miles away from the convention... As he does on Countdown, Keith gets to criticize mean ole Republicans without ever having to face them. How many network political coverage anchors are given THAT sort of protection?
Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if Gramm hadn't tried to persuade John Gibson to come in and cover for Keith by sitting in with Chris Matthews...
But to go back to Kos and Keith... the real problem with MSNBC is that the rest of the media with all it's media analysts and authorities who fancy themselves champions of ethical journalism, have allowed MSNBC to get away with this in a way they wouldn't have if Keyes or Savage had worked out for MSNBC.
If Keyes or Savage had garnered numbers for the channel, MSNBC would have been forced by the rest of the media to choose between numbers and legitimacy. The MSM would CERTAINLY have not legitimized and celebrated as "the future of television news" a Keyes, a Savage, a Limbaugh, or any "right winger" the way it has permitted, celebrated, and legitimized Keith Olbermann.
Olbermann is a smart man who has real talent, there's no doubt, but he comes a big price. It wasn't for nothing that ESPN wouldn't let him back on their campus, saying that his presence would cause damage among employees that would take a lot of time to repair. He's now working his magic among MSNBC colleagues as exhibited in their undisguised on-air sarcasm and rivalry with each other.
The media got it's fondest dream in Keith Olbermann, a leftest who could get an audience. It's a increase in audience for MSNBC... so it's all relative here, but it gives them hope that they can come out of the liberal closet a bit and some much desired revenge on FNC for being so popular.
Whether MSNBC can keep that audience over the long run, especially if Obama is elected, is questionable. But what's done is done. The entire MSM has certainly been willing to sacrifice what should be rock solid boundaries and parameters on behalf of their narcissistic Great Orange Leftist Hope.
Markos and Keith are joined at the hip
From Daily Kos to Olby's lip
Keith blogs while on air
NBC doesn't care
That Keith reads whatever he rips
It's Phil GRIFFIN, not Gramm.
Great speech by Fred Thompson. I have never been a John McCain fan but that speech by Thompson was very moving. I wish he had done more of that during the primary. I think that speech might earn him a coveted WPITW award from Keith. Lieberman surely will get a nod.
