What is painfully obvious is that Keith wrote those comments in advance. Olbermann is incapable of speaking articulately unless he is reading something from a teleprompter. In fact, his interviews with guests are filled with senseless rambling and lack of closure on ideas, but I admit that he can read prepared statements well.

Given that it is clear that he wrote these comments before he saw the tribute, one can only assume that he was not distressed by the nature of the content, as he said, but rather by the idea of presenting this content. He does not want us to remember that we were attacked and that those who attacked us are still working to find weaknesses that they can exploit to attack us again. We know it; he knows it too. But that fact alone will defuse his nightly BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) attacks, as well as attacks on anything Republican, which now make up 90% of his show.
