Yeah if he went a little faster and built up the RAGE more gradually this would be spot on.
I mean really, KO's Special ED Comments aren't hard to write. Take a topic, mention it over and over again. Use peoples names once, than call them SIR over and over again. And last, grab a Thesaurus and fill in the grey areas with some rarely used words.
" You SIR are a discredited individual, your fecundity has belated you to the factious nature of what you exemplify. You SIR MUST STEP DOWN." deep breath " Good night, and good luck "
That is pretty spot on and very funny. Too bad this guy is sooooo much YOUNGER and THINNER than the real Olbermann. (I thought it was Richard Wolfman, at first!)
Thanks for the Sklar link. She ponders why there are not more of these parodies of Olbermann. With parody, one has to be relevant and part the American psyche celebrity culture. (Colbert's made a career just by parodying O'Reilly). I know Olbermann likes to think of himself as the "hip news guy with his finger on the pulse of America, bla, bla, bla," but lets face it, he's an over-the-hill and somewhat lame failure in terms of broadcasting career that is a short time from imploding, again. (not to mention, he’s shacked-up with a gold-digger girlfriend he knew as a child, hello, Woody Allen, yuck!) You'd think SNL would have done an Olby parody by now, just for the sake of cross promotion between NBC & MSNBC, (they already parodied Chris Matthews). Guess Olby’s not quite on the “parody radar” yet, ouch!
Here is another excellent Sklar link which shows 10 angst-filled screen grabs of angry Olbermann expressions during his special comments. (If this is what Katy sees during sex, she deserves every penny she’s gold-digging off him. Really, every cent!) Sorry about that visual, but trust me, they are very funny and worth a look, and are begging to be used by J$ in future OW blog posts. As a bonus, OlbermannWatch is given a shout out because Sklar used the ‘Olby as Howard Beale’ segment provided by OW.
Great impression. The voice needs a little work but all in all top notch.

See anyone can do this shit.
haha spot on...i don't know how he kept a straight face
Hey Lafinman, I think you should send KO a copy of your "Speshul Komment" work.
I bet he wouldn't be able to pick you out from himself it is so good.

This guy's got the voice inflection down pat! And the vocab? "nefarious culinary cabal", anyone?
Folks, urinate before watching this video.
Terrific impersonation!
The only thing needed to make it more dead-on is a few dramatic head turns in order to get the full demagogic effect.
As good an impersonation as this is, I'm still partial to OldGrumpyGuy's "takes" on the our beloved Olbermoron's psyche...
I don't know, using a human being to do an impersonation of Olby the clown is quite a stretch.
And I don't know why any human being would watch fox news either but people do.-therock
And that's the way we like it, keeping you in the dark, uninformed and baffled:-)
