It's another night of Edward R Olbermann playing far-left Greek chorus to the yellow-haired drooler and his cohorts in St Paul. As the ratings show, A-Mess-NBC's coverage is really working out well for them: just barely beating Headline News for fourth place!
As always, you can watch Brit and the Fox gang, the Wolf pack, or Bathtub Boy in a Bubble, safe away from the terrorist Republicans but still able to snipe and relay talking points from Daily Kos/NBC.
Toward that end, we have some special entertainment for when you can't take another minute of Edward R Olbermann's shameless shilling. Here's another installment of John Gibson's world-famous Blue Blog Dramatizations. It's an expert distillation of Oralmann's thought-processes (after all, he does his "research" at these sites) and so represents what you can expect from MSNBC's very own Legs Luthor. We have the audio for your listening pleasure...
I love the signs behind Buchanan on the MSNBC set. "You vetted Bristol who vetted Obama" is the best one.
Watching Carly Fiorina is like watching paint dry. Zzzzzzz.
Olby thinks that the Dems were "healed" during the moonbat convention last week. This shows you how out of touch FatAss really is.
I'd like to see Michael Steele speak, but none of the cable nets will show it.
I am watching Steele on C-SPAN. He is making a great speech about putting country first. Nice job, Michael.
Government dependency is poison, says Mitt Romney. Amen to that!
Mitt is getting the crowd fired up. He's taking jabs at Barry and his miserable missus.
Hannity and Combs should have broken away for Mitts speech. I love Karl Rove but I would have rather heard Mitt speak. I had to flip to dreaded C-SPAN.
I can't believe Fox News is ignoring the speeches. I thought they would broadcast Romney and Huckabee's full speeches, but they didn't. Thumbs down from me.
Tom Brokaw: "...(The Republicans) don't want to take a chance with a Democrat from a remote location."
(In response to the Democrats inability to "analyze" each of tonight's speeches due to the Republican-imposed time constraints.)
Tom Brokaw: "...(The Republicans) don't want to take a chance with a Democrat from a remote location."
(In response to the Democrats inability to "analyze" each of tonight's speeches due to the Republican-imposed time constraints.)
"A Democrat from a remote location"-- a zinger at Keith... :D
John Gibson rocks!
Brokaw is laying it thick on KO...
Earlier he made comments on the 24 hour news channels and the blogosphere in light of all the Palin rage. But i had to flip over to FOX for BOR so he could rub it in on how he has Obama on tomorrow.
Sean Hannity and Juan Williams are having heated discussions tonight. I don't think Williams likes Palin, or at least it seems that way. I have no clue how Williams can slam Palin when Barry has less executive experience. He never seems mention that.
LOL. Crowd chants "ZERO" over mention of Barry Soetoro. Rudy G. is providing a rundown of Empty Suit's non-achievements, including voting "Present" instead of yea or nay because Barry couldn't decide. He's a real change agent, that Barry.
Rudy is running down the list of Barrylies and flip-flops. This could go on for hours. LOL! He said Joe Biden should get the VP decision in writing because Barry flip-flops so much.
What a lead in - Rudy was a knockout. Well done.
Palin does not seem one bit nervous at all. She's a cool customer so far.
She's killing so far....
Ooh - she sold the Alaska state lear jet on eBay. Take that, Algore.
Impressive....funny and sexy.
There's your mention of natural gas as the way to energy dependence, T. Boone Pickens. Boone, please stop complaining and vote GOP to keep Barry from taxing the air you breathe.
independence, that is. Duh.
She's a bare knuckled brawler
If you thought the Dems were terrified of Gov. Palin prior to her speech, they are absolutely mortified now. This is a killer speech that has exceeded all expectations. She is poised, intelligent and has a great sense of humor. Oh - the hits on Barry keep coming. She slams the faux presidential seal...the presidency as a journey of personal discovery. Ouch! Moxie is a great thing.
America hearts Sarah Palin and the moonbat media are flummoxed. They just don't know what to do with candidates who do not curry their favor. Actually they do - the media attack them and their families as payback.
Fantastic effort all the way. Expect more vicious attacks from the elitists.
I would definitely pick her to win a knife fight against Joebama.
Speaking of Joe Biden....
http://tinyurl.com/56fdnw
Yawn.
Listen to Norah "Where are my kids" O'Donnell snipes at Palin for being snarky to Obama and Biden. Lefty Andrea Mitchell is interviewing Rudy and keeps harping on negatives (lack of experience, etc.). Of course, Rudy does not fall for the bait. Mitchell says that Rudy "belittled" Barry. Awwwww!
lol Brian Williams is making a statement about bloggers....*hint hint* Keith STOP BLOGGING. lol
Bathtub Boy has been reduced to being a whipping boy, and Brokaw and Brian are enjoying it.
Palin came to chew bubblegum and kick ass but ran out of bubblegum....
Well now we now know why KO ran home from the convention it wasn't because of Hurricane Gustav..he was afraid he get blown away by Hurricane Palin...LOL!!!! New Murrow indeed.
Was that a Code Pinko operative that security removed during Palin's speech? Too funny.
I wish I was more subtle. I never pick up on the stuff where Brokaw is digging Fatass. I did send Brokaw a note on MTP suggesting he was dishonoring the legacy of his predecessors by supporting the whole MessyNBC scene.
Matthews looked like a deer in the headlights after her speech. He was all of a sudden scared to death that his man was not going to just get a walkover.
DW was concerned that she might come across as too much of a ballbuster to the male voters. Not when she hunts. Not when she introduces her DH and says 5 kids and 22 years later he is still my guy.
She blew them up big time.
Men love women who are ballbusters, so I've heard.
Wow you hear what Maddow said about how Palin believes Jews deserved to be killed by terrorists cause they don't believe in Jesus.
Matthews immediatly asked her what was her source with a "WTF did you just say? " look in his eyes.
Lafinman, I want to apologize to you. When you commented to a different thread, I thought you were this other guy that constantly changes his moniker. Clearly, you are not that guy. So, I'm very sorry for assuming you were. Welcome to OlbyWatch. You'll love it here.
Oh no problem Mike, lol
I just took a page from that clown that Vox made it easier to post here. I tried registrating through all the other methods to post here but was always denied, but somehow Vox works like charm.
And on top of that i got a Blog page out of it, so it's a win-win.
But man was I frustrated when I caught stuff, had an opinion, and couldn't write about it. Well those days are over so I'm looking forward to my stay.
Did you hear Keithy trying to talk all over the keynote speaker?
Rudy is in the meat of his address trying to make a point and Keithy starts talking over him "With an update from the RNC in St. Paul this is Keith Olbermann..." when someone sane at NBC yanked the plug on him!
What chutzpah. What a putz. He's supposed to be covering this as an impartial journalist and he interrupts the Keynote Address?
Ed...you're an idiot. He said "9/11" once.....
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/03/giuliani.transcript/
You obviously did not listen to the speech, because he made some real observations you should really worry about like:
"And nearly 130 times, [Obama] couldn't make a decision. He couldn't figure out whether to vote 'yes' or 'no.' It was too tough.
"He voted -- he voted 'present.'
"I didn't know about this vote 'present' when I was mayor of New York City. Sarah Palin didn't have this vote 'present' when she was mayor or governor. You don't get 'present.' It doesn't work in an executive job. For president of the United States, it's not good enough to be present.
"You have to make a decision."
or this....
"When Russia rolled over Georgia, John McCain immediately established a very strong, informed position that let the world know how he'll respond as president at exactly the right time. Remember his words? Remember what John McCain said? 'We are all Georgians.'
"Obama's -- talk about judgment. Let's look at what Obama did. Obama's first instinct was to create a moral equivalency, suggesting that both sides were equally responsible, the same moral equivalency that he's displayed in discussing the Palestinian Authority and the state of Israel. Later -- later, after discussing this with his 300 foreign policy advisers, he changed his position, and he suggested the United Nations Security Council could find a solution.
"Apparently, none of his 300 foreign policy security advisers told him that Russia has a veto power in the United Nations Security Council. By the way, this was about three days later. So -- so he changed his position again, and he put out a statement exactly like the statement of John McCain's three days earlier.
"I have some advice for Senator Obama: Next time, call John McCain."
Awesome. The candidate on the TOP on the democrat ticket is unprepared to be President of The United States. He is an effete leftist who looks down his nose at his fellow Americans.....
"I'm sorry -- I'm sorry that Barack Obama feels that her hometown isn't cosmopolitan enough. I'm sorry, Barack, that it's not flashy enough. Maybe they cling to religion there."
VERO POSSUMUS, Ed....continue attending the church of SNOBamessiah and make sure you continue putting your hard earned money into his collection plate when it's passed daily!
Edward: I don't enjoy dishing out ad homenim remarks, but Cee is right. You are an idiot.
Cee,
Judging from the comments last night as the MSNBC team went into Democratic strategist mode after Palin's speech, the media will suddenly concur that the world is a very dangerous place indeed...
Suddenly mentioning Islamic terrorists or strategic plays for oil, etc. will not be "fear mongering" but of vital importance in that the VP candidate of the Republican Party must be ready to answer every abstract or concrete question on foreign policy.
Now we know that wasn't the case got the top of ticket when the much more experienced Hillary was running against Obama. There was no angst from Matthews, Maddow, and Olbermann over when they could put a mic in Obama's face and ask who's the president of Liechtenstein... but they've seen the error of their ways suddenly.
NOW the world IS a dangerous place...and it's very important for a Republican VP candidate be completely versed in such matters.
In regards to whether foreign policy experience is equally important for the PRESIDENTIAL candidates.... for either Obama OR EVEN FOR McCain--- wellllllll....
not so much....
Sara Palin can bring home the bacon
And fry it but don't be mistaken
In the nuts she will kick
A pit bull with lipstick
Her speech will not be forsaken
I am optimistic that Palin will show an ability to come up to speed on the cogent foreign policy issues of the day. "Gotcha questions," which are waiting in the wings, should be handled with good humor and if a mistake is made, a nondefensive, friendly air goes a long way.
Obama has made plenty of gaffes and shows a real difficulty in thinking on his feet....Palin, so far as I have seen in a few clips, is much better.
I agree entirely, Cee, but they are out for her with an appetite they never had for Obama.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar is calling Sarah Palin a liar on Fox News this morning. Klobuchar says Palin lied about Obama's tax policies during her speech last night. She is also is trying to pull the "McCain is Bush" rhetoric as well. Methinks Amy is a moonbat and a partisan hack. She has the Obama talking points memorized this morning.
A new Rasmussen poll says the following:
"Over half of U.S. voters (51%) think reporters are trying to hurt Sarah Palin with their news coverage"
http://tinyurl.com/58mfue
I really think McCain should make this an issue. As the more experienced candidate, he can ask a simple question...."Why are you all so exercised about the abilities of my #2 to be chief executive while, up until now, there has been little commentary of concern for the democrats' #1 ability to be chief executive? Please tell me what the actual differences are, other than where they were these last 3 years, in regards to leadership examples and evidence that they are driven, well-rounded people?"
Again, turn a negative (Palin's lack of experience) to a positive (refocus the spotlight on Obama's lack of experience). I really think this election must be a referendum on Obama and his character, abilities and ideology....If it is going into late October....McCain may actually pull this thing out.
Palin is a small part of that strategy. The press' poor behavior can be easily used as a rallying cry for the base and an opening to get more tough questions put to Obama.
Again....all with a smile and a nice attitude!
saw that
lib desperation in the wake of a woman with guts standing up to the left wing media attempt to break her and get her to remove herself from the ticket.last nights speach only showed she can take it and hit back
what will olberwoman, filthy kos'manazis and the other media hacks come up with next
She did not lie. She specifically said Obama will raise the American people's taxes....There are millions of Americans who will be affected by even that tax increase Obama is promising and it should not be done in a time of economic difficulty. People will spend less and this will hurt the economy. Also, he plans on raising small business taxes that make more than 250K/year....this is also MILLIONS of Ameicans who's personal incomes are not 250K/year....in fact many small businesses that make such money are owned by MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE and they will have to curb spending to make up for Obama's reckless tax increases. So, Palin told the truth....Obama is promising to raise taxes on the American people...sure some will not be affected, but MILLIONS WILL directly pay these new taxes and we all will be indirectly impacted during an economic downturn.
Also, I do not trust any democrat on taxes. Bill Clinton promised me a middle class tax cut in 1992 and he broke that promise. I will bet you that people making as little as 60K/ year will pay more to the federal government by the end of a 4 year Obama turn because he needs over 1 trillion dollars to pay for all of the new spending he wants....Where is it going to come from?
VERO POSSUMUS!
Cee and Boycott: I agree with you both. There are several small business owners in my family and they are terrified that Obama will be elected. If their profits (incomes) are taxed instead of put back into their businesses for growth, they will have to lay off employees. That will cause stagnation or contraction in growth and lead to failure. I have no clue what Dems believe a person who makes $250,000 is. Those folks are business owners who employ most of the country's workforce.
EdwardROlberdouche, who do you think will pay those taxes on the eeeevil "Big Oil" companies? Certainly not the oil companies: It's you and me. I do not support Obama's socialist handouts via whatever new programs he designed to dupe the poor into remaining in perpetual poverty via handouts, not a way out. And please don't tell me that the government should be in the insurance industry: That is a joke.
Taxes are high enough. Federal government discretionary spending must be cut. With a far left Congress and a far left President, the "new programs" you describe will make the federal budget huge and taxes will be raised on more than what is vaguely described as "high end." A trillion dollars will come out of the hard earned money of the middle class as the "wealthy" draw back their investment because of high capital gains, making the economy dive like it did under Carter.
Obama is the same old tax and spend leftist who needs to be controlled...that is why he should stay in the US Senate and a republican should be there to hold the spend thrift ways of a very liberal Congress. Look for this to be an issue, BTW.
UH OH! SPESHUL COMIT TIME!
FNC Tops Broadcast Nets For RNC Night 1
Exclusive: Sources tell TVNewser that Fox News topped all broadcast and cable networks at 10pmET last night, with 6.2 million viewers.
As we reported last night, Fox News was the top rated channel at 10pmET on Tuesday, on broadcast or cable. Here's the breakdown:
FNC: 6,179,000
NBC: 4,468,000
CNN: 3,220,000
ABC: 3,098,000
CBS: 2,928,000
MSNBC: 1,590,000
Some other notes:
• The figure was up from the Tuesday at the 2004 RNC for FNC (by about one million total viewers) and CNN (by more than double). MSNBC declined slightly.
• FNC beat CNN and MSNBC combined in prime time on in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo.
According to the Pew Research poll 39% of FOX News viewers are 39% R 33% d, so that argument holds no water, clone troll. FNC has more dem viewers than CNN or MSDNC.

Attn: Cee, dcmeyer, philly and so on,
Please do not repond to this idiot hack who changes his moniker daily. Yes, i'm talking about EdwardROlberman or Howard. According to his typing skills, he has a 3rd grade education and was put back 2 years.
I. along with everyone else need to just let him vent and do not repond to him.
Thank you
You're correct on all counts, SoCal. When a fool won't listen to FACTS, it isn't worth wasting our breath on.
