Keith's # one mission? DESTROY JOE THE PLUMER. Joe the plumer is the #1 thought criminal in the world and he must be purged. Get the box car ready and hand Joe his shovel and warm jacket. Joe's crime? He dared question the messia. Joe has a TAX LEIN!!! That makes him a criminal unlike Keith who only has a few tax leins in different states.

#2: The Media Matters Minute. Worse was WABC-AM's Bob Grant. Blue blog source: Media Matters. http://mediamatters.org/items/200810160022?f=h_latest
The picture used for Bob was taken directly from the picture used on Brock's website, but with the microphone next to him Photoshopped out. And you wonder why we call Olby "Rip 'n Read." Oralmann described Grant as "a man who inspired Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity and others to sell their souls...uh, I'm sorry...go into right-wing [Ding!] radio." Then, he trotted out a supposed impression of Bob direct from the transcript Davy B. provided. Carnival Barker! Ha-ha, those idiot right-wingers thought the Ohio state flag was an Obama flag. Aren't they dumb, Keithy? And for good measure, "Geez, was Bob Grant great on the radio...WHEN I WAS A KID!"
Worser was Sarah Palin and the Secret Service. Blue blog source: HuffPo. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/16/secret-service-blocking-r_n_135336.html
It must have hurt for Slovenly to say the words "Dana Milbank."
Worst was Rick Santorum. Blue blog source: Think Propaganda.
    http://thinkprogress.org/2008/10/16/santorum-flag-obama/
Fixed News! [Ding!] Santorum "let out a lulu"! Gotcha! Obama wears flagpins, but oops, McCain won't. "Debate #[insert number here], Obama wearing the flagpin, McCain won't wear the American flagpin." Then, Krazy Keith snidely bellowed: "We're beginning to see a pattern emerge here, huh, Rick?" Then, he showed the TP video freeze fram. Santorum wasn't wearing a flagpin, either. "I'd like to conclude this nonsense about the least relevant issue of this campaign, FLAGpins!, by quoting the Smothers Brothers..." No, don't. Something about Laredo and cowboys. "Rick 'Stick to Man on Dog' Santorum! Today's Worst...Person..." Yada yada yada.

Olberdouche edited out the audience applause when McCain joked that there were Manhattan Democrats "pulling for him". Yes, Keith edited two seconds of applause in the middle of McCain's joke.

Keith, are you really THAT insecure about Obama's chances? According to you, Obama has a 14 POINT LEAD!

    What a hoot.

Another night without a recap thanks to few contributions.

Now he's bashing Joe The Plumber
    Keith couldn't get any dumber
    It's helping McCain
    Hurting Barry's campaign
The trash-talk is really a bummer

merkle923--nice catch on the edited applause and your spot on observation of Oblermann's masssive insecurity. Great Thanks.

After watching Gov Palin on SNL, I'm convinced that Tina Fey is Sarah Palin's skanky sister.

Oh boy, Biden is already lowering expectations of an Obama presidency, making excuses and padding the leadership gap that is clear to anyone using their minds in judging SNOBamessiah and Grandpa Biden.....

"....you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, 'Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?' We're gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I'm asking you now, I'm asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you're going to have to reinforce us.

"There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, 'Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don't know about that decision', Biden continued. 'Because if you think the decision is sound when they're made, which I believe you will when they're made, they're not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they're popular, they're probably not sound.'"

Ok. So, if promises are broken regarding tax cuts, foreign policy and/or government spending we will hear that there should be no political accountability and attacks because, well, we should act and let the church of SNOBamessiah work on FAITH?

Faith? I do not believe our wonderful system requires faith that our leaders ask us to use to excuse the results of their policies or the promises they break because of some political calculation.

And the hypocrisy stands out here as well....especially coming from a Senator who voted against the 1st Gulf War, for the 2nd Gulf War and then went with the polls and changed his mind about Iraq and wanted to surrender to the Islamic extremists.....

America is in deep, deep trouble if dwiddle-dee and dwiddle-dumb attain the power of The Presidency.

United States of America My Ass...USAMA! VERO POSSUMUS!

    Hi "The Factor".

It must be my elite education, but I am extremely perturbed by your inability to spell rather basic words such as "PLUMBER" (the silent 'b' is tricky ain't it?) and "LIEN" (another tricky but rather common word) and "MESSIAH" (another silent letter. damn!! but from a raging conservative, i would expect you to at least know how to spell Biblical words).

How odd that Obama is being attacked for Joe being thrown into the spotlight when Joe had seeked out Obama to ask him a question and then was thrown into the spotlight once again by McCain (when first mentioned at the debate.. and a subsequent 21+ times).

If you want to mouth off about POLICIES, which I do commend you for, please look into them first. Joe the unlicensed plumber, would actually benefit from the Obama tax plan. Despite his fancy little dreams of one day owning his own business (that does NOT earn $250-$280K by the way), let's face reality, he has become a puppet to create a facade of compassion for the middle class veiling a tax plan that McCain himself had strongly criticized for unfairly benefitting the wealthy at the cost of the middle class.

tsk tsk... It scares me to think the blind rationality so many Americans use to decide on who should lead this great country..

    Dear freedomDumbAss
You said "How odd that Obama is being attacked for Joe being thrown into the spotlight when Joe had seeked out Obama to ask him a question and then was thrown into the spotlight once again by McCain (when first mentioned at the debate.. and a subsequent 21+ times). "
Where should we start, I know, how about with the FACT that Joe the plumber DID NOT seek out OsamaObama but was approached by the Messiah while playing ball with his kids in the front yard.
Second, you stated "If you want to mouth off about POLICIES, which I do commend you for, please look into them first. Joe the unlicensed plumber, would actually benefit from the Obama tax plan. "

Joe does NOT need to be licensed in the state of Ohio as he works under a licensed plumber for a plumber and is considered a plumbers helper. If Joe was to work for himself, then he would be required to hold a plumbing license. As for most plumbers that are in business for themselves here in the tri state area of northern Kentucky, Southern Ohio, and Eastern Indiana, the average gross wages per year for a owner/operator are in excess of $250,000.00 .
What I find appalling coming from YOUR side (DEMS) is that your people have put the screws to this guy Joe and have dug into his personal life and made it public about a possible tax lien. OsamObama shot himself in the foot when he told Joe that He (obama) wanted to spread the wealth.....give me a break, that is socialism. I guess you just want the lazy asses of this world to continue to stay home and watch Jerry Springer and collect welfare from the others that are trying to make ends meet. Your idiology is most definately that of a true democrat.
You could not of said it any better "It scares me to think the blind rationality so many Americans use to decide on who should lead this great country.. "

Yes freedomfightr22, I suggest you take a real hard look at what you said because your facts are at best nill. Your policies would be great, IN CUBA.

Freedonfight22, I wouldn't let being called a "dumbass" by the llikes of SoCal bother you. On the contrary, I'd consider it a badge of honor.

After all, SoCal is famous for:

    1) - Calling the most balanced political web site on the internet, RealClearPolitics, a "liberal" web site, while adding that he "runs away" from such sources. It didn't matter that this site has a 50/50 mix of left & right commentators and regularly includes the most respected conservative voices in politics. Apparently, the problem for SoCal is that there were any left of center writers at all.

    2) - After stating that Olbermann lies "99.5% of the time" while specifically referencing a special comment he disaproved of, I challenged him to show me where Olberman lied in that commentary. He steadfastlly ignored my request and then flatly refused because he couldn't. Not only could he not back up his ridiculous claim that Olbermann "lies 99.5% of the time", he couldn't even point out ONE lie in the specific comment he was attacking.

    3) - This guy has allowed himself to be convinced that the collapse of the worldwide markets was all Barney Frank's fault.

    4) = And, oh yeah, he calls everyone he disagrees with derogatory names. Whenever I see people doing that on internet blogs, it always makes me wonder whether they talk the same way to people in person?

Arguing with SoCal is like trying to outbark your neighbor's dog!

Poor Plumber Joe....he's being picked on!

    - Never mind that this didn't happen untill McCain decided to use him with yet another hail mary.

    - While some say that "Joe" was approached by Obama, the video shows Obama addressing "Joe" as "yes sir"....a claer indication that he had been addressed by "Joe".

    - It is very clear that "Joe" misrepresented both himself, as well as his intentions in his discussion. I could not imagine myself lying to a presidential candidate if I were approached by someone of that stature on the street. Sow why is it that the medai was not supposed to investigate his claims and expose them if they were untrue? If his claims had been true, no one would be criticizing him....so please stop whining!

    - Finally, the idea that plumber owner/operators routinely exceed $250,000 a year is ridiculous. They would have to be running multtiple crews to net that kind of an income, and most of them aren't. The idea that someone making over a quarter of a million a year is anywhere near "average" is as ridiculous as the assertion that Sarah Palin is qualified to be president.

Perhaps one might remember that the going rate for plumbers on an hourly basis is pretty high. About $80 an hour here in the frozen tundra. In a normal work year of 2040 hours that is about $163K a year. With overtime it is a lot more. Many people in the trades and in the professions like police, fire EMT, etc. earn in excess of $150K a year with overtime. Those who are married with working spouses easily get well in excess of $160K. Why is $160K important? Because Barry is going to raise the top TWO rates. So at roughly $162K the rate will increase by 10%. A lot of "Joes" are going to take a hit. Interestingly at the top two rates, Barry will have them paying at rates that exceed the corporate rate paid by his buddies like Warren Buffett and Bill Gates. Of course, like the oil companies they cannot afford to pay more taxes. Also owners of private businesses who are forced to organize so that their business income runs through their personal tax returns will also pay the higher rates. Fully 10% higher than Gates or Buffett. Isn't Barry just the best?

Please document the lies Mr. Wurzelbacher told when he had his conversation with Barack Obama.

    Obama: What's your name?

    Joe: My name's Joe Wurzelbacher.

Joe: I'm getting ready to buy a company that makes about $250,000 … $270-$280,000 a year.

    Obama: All right.

Joe: Your new tax plan's gonna tax me more, isn't it?

    [...]

Joe: Well, the reason why I ask you about the American Dream I mean, I work hard. I'm a plumber, I work 10-12 hours a day …

    Obama: Absolutely.

Joe: … and I'm, you know, buying this company and I'm gonna continue to work that way. Now, if I buy another truck and adding something else to it and, you know, build the company, you know, I'm getting taxed more and more while fulfilling the American Dream.

Obama: Well, here's a way of thinking about it. How long have you been a plumber? How long have you been working?

    Joe: Fifteen years.

Obama: Okay. So, over the last 15 years, when you weren't making $250,000, you would have been getting a tax cut from me. So you'd actually have more money, which means you would have saved more, which means that you would have gotten to the point where you could build your small business quicker than under the current tax code. So there are two ways of looking at it. I mean, one way of looking at it is, now that you've become more successful …

    Joe: Through hard work.

Obama: … through hard work, you don't want to be taxed as much.

    Joe: Exactly.

    [...]

The remaining conversation can be seen at:

So please church of SNOBamessiah zealot, please document a lie. Unlike the left's talking points, it is clear in Obama's exchange with Joe that he never claimed to be presently making over 250K, he clearly said his goal was to buy a business that would put him and his family in that magical bracket that Obama and you feel need and can pay the federal government more in taxes.

Also, right after he presented the hypothetical, he clearly asked Obama a simple question. Joe asked if his future business was earning more than 250K/year, would Obama's plan take more from him in taxes than the current tax schedule. That was the exchange.

Obama tried, like you are trying to do, change the conversation to yet another hypothetical that would present the issue in a more positive light.....changing the subject of the argument, like you always do, MikeH....classic.

And wrong. The voter was asking the candidate a question, a simple question....If I make more than 250K/year, I will pay more in taxes. Period. So let's stop lying about what Joe said, and discuss the logic and ideology behind a candidate for President who presumes to know who of his fellow citizens deserves a check in the mail while paying no taxes and who of his fellow citizens need to pay much more in federal taxes.....That is and was Joe's concern and I am sorry if his concerns about what Obama wants to do to our economy does not match the propaganda you would rather discuss.

Cee: "Where did "Joe" (Sam) lie?":

1 - He isn't "buying this company". He can't even afford to pay a $1200 tax lien.

2 - He isn't a plumber. Granted, he IS a Plumber's assistant, but that is emphatically NOT a plumber. I once had someone working for me who kept clling himself an "electrician", when in fact, he had only been an electrician's helper. That was always good for a laugh since he never tried telling this lie to a presidential candidate (as far as I know).

Maybe there are areas of this country where plumbers make over 250,000 a year (even self employed plumbers, but it sure as helm isn't here in my part of red state America. People who may have paid $80 an hour for the services of a plumber may make the mistake of believing the plumber makes that much, but they aren't considering overhead, travel, and down time in that equation.

If plumber "Joe" actually was actually buying a company that was netting over $250,000, it would certainly cost him at least several times that amount in order to do it. Therefore, even if the previous owner was netting that amount, the debt "Joe" took on in order to buy the company would then be listed as an expense, which would surely bring down his net income below $250,000 for the foreseeable future.

Even if Plumber "Joe" actually did make it into that rarified air of $250,000 plus, he would only pay the marginal rate on the NET amount OVER $250,000, and not the entire amount.

There is nothing "socialist" about what Obama is proposing. It is essentially nothing more than a roll back to about where we were 8 years ago before the marginal tax rates were reduced (when the budget was last balanced). Both McCain and Obama continue to advocate for the same graduated ta system. The only difference is a relatively small degree of adjustment regarding marginal tax rates......and Marginal tax rates are never paid by middle class citizens....and never will be,

Finally Cee, Plumber Joe was actually making a case for a flat tax in that conversation (the part of the converstion you DIDN'T quote), which is something neither Obama OR McCain has mentioned or supports.

The dishonesty regarding taxes beeing thrown around by republicans this year is absolutely mind boggling. I amy not be well versed on everything, but as a small businessman myself, I certainly do undestand taxes, and almost everything being spewed by the republicans on this subject is either a lie, ..... or is dangerously misleading.

MikeH.. you must have the IQ of an ice cube.
Arguing with you is like a dog chasing its tail, we just go round and round.
MikeH said "While some say that "Joe" was approached by Obama, the video shows Obama addressing "Joe" as "yes sir"....a claer indication that he had been addressed by "Joe".
Answer: If some people said that Joe approached Barry, then they need their eyes examined, Barrack Hussien approached Joe who was playing football with his kids in his front yard.
MikeH says that Joe misrepresented himself and his intentions?
Give me a break you duffuss, Joe was saying it like it is, what are you going to do for me? At that point Barrack Hussien says " I'm going to spread the wealth." MikeH just can't handle the truth no matter what. His leftist ideology seems to be more than Barry's.
No MikeH, you stop your whining. Why is it that Joe called OsamaObama out and his reward for it was to be checked out by the media and his private life exposed to the country? Sounds like some very insecure democrats out there. So again, I guess it's the medias business to play detective now and pick on people who just ask questions and want the truth but when they don't recieve the truth from the Dems, watch out Joe the Plumber.

Yes MikeH, just keep up with your spewing of Olbermann lies, you'll grow up some day.
By the way, Sarah Palin is more qualified than Obama and Biden combined and that's a FACT.

Also, Joe's tax lien, was not known until the media found it through a credit reporting agency. Joe did not even know he had a lien unlike Olbermann who had many and knew about them.

SoCal: "MikeH...you must have the IQ of an ice cube".....LOL.....It's actually been documented several times to be far closer to the boiling point of water than it is to the freezing point, since you insist on making irrelevant put-downs interspaced with your constant reliance on red herring arguments.

No SoCal, we DON'T go "round and round". That would imply you've actually made some points worth considering, which you've yet to do even once. Your ENTIRE post above ignored each and EVERY point I made about Plumber Joe above, while diverting the entire discussion with irrelevant talking points.

If you are REALLY stupid enough to blame the MEDIA for investigating the backgound of someone that YOUR erratic candidate chose to use in order to try to change the course of this election, which would also change the course of history, then you really don't need to be commenting about the IQ of others.

You seem to forget that McCain is the one who chose to use this guy, not Obama. You also seem oblivious to the fact that the guy lied to a presidential candidate in order to initiate a debate using hypotheticals that he dishonestly represented as factual. BTW, I will gaurantee you that there are no hidden tax liens on me, or about 99% of the rest of the population.

And finally "duffuss", you show your lack of intelligence EVERY time you make the laughable statement that Palin is somehow qualified to be POTUS. Even the smarter republicans don't believe that!

Sorry MikeH but Joe did not lie. You have yet to prove it. As the many others here have put the transcript down of what Joe said, show us where he lied. McCain didn'tchose to use this guy, he only came to his rescue to show how Barry wants to take his money. Your statement about hidden tax liens on yourself, what's that all about? Nobody ever said anything about YOU and a tax lien. Continue to twist the facts MikeH, there's that dog again going in circles. And if you can't read my entire post from before, then YOU have a problem as I went through each of the items in regards to what happened between Joe and Barry.
The only reason at this time for me to continue to post replies to your post's is that your statements are actually the ones that are laughable.

MikeH believes Mr. Wurzelbacher should have said, "Well, the reason why I ask you about the American Dream I mean, I work hard. I'm an unlicensed journeyman plumber, I work 10-12 hours a day..."

Not only that, but the church of SNOBamessiah adherents actually believe that Mr. Wurzelbacher intentionally misead Obama and that misleading actually had an impact on how Obama answered the question.

MikeH should be able to tell us how Obama would have answered the question differently if Mr. Wurzelbacher informed him that he was a plumber's helper instead of a plumber.

That is the purpose of a lie....It results in the person being lied to missing important information that would substantively change their response. The liar knows this when they purposely withhold or embellish.

Calling someone a liar may be an easy thing for MikeH to do, but to logical, openminded people like Mr. Wurzelbacher who wanted to discuss the ideology behind Obama's tax plan (which is actually not only a tax-cut plan, but includes huge dispersements of checks to people who will not pay one penny in income taxes themselves). The final confirmation that Obama is planning on going beyond the historic progressive tax system was his statement about "spreading the wealth."

Another test to see what is behind Obama's tax plan is simple....Lets say I make 30,000/year at my job. I live in government subsidized housing. I use the infrastructure of the roads, transportation system etc. in my town. I benefit from the local police and fire protection, I am secure because of the Federal Armed Forces like the Coast Guard, Navy etc. also I benefit from the TSA, Homeland Security, FBI and my water, my food, the products I buy and medications I ingest are safe because of the federal sturcture that costs lots of money to run. Will I be contributing to the federal treasury for the use of this infrastructure?

The answer is no. In fact, I would receive a $500 check from the federal government.....See what wealth redistribution via the federal tax code means:

"The Tax Foundation estimates that under the Obama plan 63 million Americans, or 44% of all tax filers, would have no income tax liability and most of those would get a check from the IRS each year. The Heritage Foundation's Center for Data Analysis estimates that by 2011, under the Obama plan, an additional 10 million filers would pay zero taxes while cashing checks from the IRS.

"The total annual expenditures on refundable 'tax credits' would rise over the next 10 years by $647 billion to $1.054 trillion, according to the Tax Policy Center. This means that the tax-credit welfare state would soon cost four times actual cash welfare. By redefining such income payments as 'tax credits,' the Obama campaign also redefines them away as a tax share of GDP. Presto, the federal tax burden looks much smaller than it really is.

"The political left defends 'refundability' on grounds that these payments help to offset the payroll tax. And that was at least plausible when the only major refundable credit was the earned-income tax credit. Taken together, however, these tax credit payments would exceed payroll levies for most low-income workers."

So, basically, Obama and the left is prepared to form a welfare state under the guise of the progressive tax system. In reality, money is going to simply flow from middle class and wealthy Americans straight through the federal treasury to lower income Americans in the form of a check. These citizens still use and benefit from the federal infrastructure just as much as the middle-class person paying taxes but they pay NO income taxes that pay for such things. What is the check other than a basic welfare check?

Nevermind the financial realities that will not allow Obama to continue his plan for more than 2-3 years into his term. The current deficit, the new bail-out spending and possibly another stimulus package along with the promised increases in spending Obama wants will make his promise to eventually balance the budget an impossible task and he will have to break his promise. Also, his increase in corporate taxes will cause these companies to simply charge more for their products or services, not hire, layoff people and perhaps even pull out of doing business in the US and seek greener labor pastures in Asia....Increasing unemployment and lower tax revenues will develop as the economy sputters under his wealth redistribution plan. Obama's welfare checks will either have to end, OR (which I predict) that 250,000 line he claims is "wealthy" will be lowered as he asks his fellow citizens to "sacrifice."

Mr. Wurzelbacher got Obama to commit to his real agenda. Wealth redistribution is the left's ideology....they are proud of it, except when it costs them elections....So....attack the questioner, attack his motives and character. Don't stick to the issue of what is the actual facts and figures and substance of a "tax plan" that is actually going to result in almost HALF OF WORKERS not paying income taxes and most of them actually getting a welfare check from the federal government. This is a redistribution plan, plain and simple, and not a mainstream or healthy government policy. People will become reliant on this handout and the political, social and financial implications of this welfare state will have dangerous results in the decades to come. To sustain this system, Obama will have to either increase taxes even more than he is promising now, lower the income at which he raises the taxes and/or look for other sources of revenue.

This is the real lie here, and the press along with the church of SNOBamessiah zealots will not address the substanative issue...instead they want to call a fellow citizen a liar and worse.

    VERO POSSUMUS!

And before MikeH tries to divert the argument to, "McCain will do the same thing," I am happy to acknowledge the pandering sickness of the entire political ruling class, but Obama and the left's intentions are much more sinister and destructive as they essentially strive to form a society that has two classes....A HUGE reliant welfare class and smaller and overburdened "capital" class that pays for it all but will logically become smaller and smaller until the entire system collapses:

    http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/23631.html

    The money quote:

"Over the past two decades, lawmakers have increasingly turned to the tax system rather than direct spending programs to funnel money to targeted groups of Americans, furthering some social or political goal. As a result, millions of Americans have been effectively removed from the income tax payment system while the tax code has been made more complicated to comply with and more difficult to administer. The tax plans of both the presidential candidates would exacerbate this situation greatly.

"It is time for a serious public discussion of whether it is desirable to have so many Americans disconnected from the cost of government and what the consequences are of using the tax system as a vehicle for social policy."

Using the federal income tax as what MikeH called for somewhere else as resulting in me being, "my brother's keeper," is not the right policy. I contribute close to 14% of my gross income to charity yearly to try to fulfill the monetary obligations Christianity stipulates in the scriptures. I also serve voluntarily in various capasities outside my profession and serve less priviledged or unfortunate people in my profession on a case by case basis. My "brother's keeper" role is a personal, relationship based interaction and is the accurate fulfillment of what Christ taught. Christ NEVER preached using the secular government as the sole tool to help the poor or needy. He always demanded a personal interaction and sacrifice along with a "tithe" to provide for the widows and orphans. The secular left has always wanted to replace the personal with the governmental because it gives them the political power to achieve their other less altruistic agenda items. I am against giving away my freedom in the form of a tax plan that redistributes wealth but also instills political power and constituient control to a particular SECULAR polticial entity. This is un-American and wrong. It is also deceptive and causes some of our fellow citizens to become lazy, reliant on the handout and diminishes their character.

    VERO POSSUMUS!

Please notice MikeH would be the older dude in the background holding the sign, "CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN;"

"If you think there should be a fourth panel where Obama says something to try to stop it, you must know something the rest of us don't."

    VERO POSSUMUS!

Actually Cee, since what we are actually talking about is the earned income credit, Reagan greatly increased that deduction early in his first term, and even praised the program.....I guess that makes him a "socialist" too?

This latest argument from the McCain campaign is nothing but another bunch of hooeey. Anyone who believes that line is either ignorant of American History regarding tax policy, or they are cynically pushing a dishonest argument for political purposes. We have had a graduated income tax policy for nearly 100 years and we have one now. To brand suggested minor adjustments to levels they already were the last time we had a balanced budget as "socialism" borders on criminal dishonesty.....Add to that the FACT that John McCain held EXACTLT the same position as Obama when the Bush tax vuts for the wealthy were first put into place, and we have the ultimate hypocrite and flip-flopper exposing himself yet AGAIN.

I'd really have a big laugh if the new McCain managed to steal this election using lies and smears and then reverted back to the old "socialist" McCain once he was in office. Who knows what the real McCain actually believes?.....But the answer to that question probably depends on what day of the week it is.

The additional dishonesty of using Reagan's ongoing earned income credit as a red herring implying that reverting back to a tax rate we had 8 years ago when the economy and budget were both at their healthiest, amounts to yet another attempt to play on the perceived ignorance of the general public. We had earned income before, and we have it now, and neither candidate has proposed changing it. We have graduated tax rates now, and we will continue to have it no matter which candidate is elected. The very suggestion that minute changes of the degree amounts to "socialism" is just plain dispicable.

On the hypocrisy front, I do recaqll Cee claiming the degree didn't matter after I caught him posting a blatant lie claiming that individuals making $30,000 paid the marginal tax rate.

Regarding the Williams interview, I guess it's pretty telling that McCain has decided he can't trust Palin on her own with an interview unless he is there to babysit her. He can protect Palin from the eviil media, but who is going to protect us from the meandering flip=flopper named McCain?

"To brand suggested minor adjustments to levels they already were the last time we had a balanced budget as "socialism" borders on criminal dishonesty'

What a church of SNOBamessiah hack MikeH has become! Minor adjustments? You are a liar.

First of all, your messiah himself claims that his economic plan, which his tax and spend policies are the centerpiece, is a drastic CHANGE from what has been done these last several years. So even Obama himself proclaims this tax approach is a FUNDAMENTAL and BENEFICIAL CHANGE for America.

These minor adjustments that MikeH claims are not a drastic change from history actually include:

A large increase in that earned income tax credit MikeH brushes off as old Reagan policy. Obama would increase it to over $500 per individual from $175, basically more than tripling it and adding an additional $1100 if the individual pays child support.

A NEW $500 tax credit ($1,000 a couple) to "make work pay" that phases out at income of $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 per couple. (Wow, see how easy it is for the church of SNOBamessiah to determine 75K is too much money to earn to deserve a government check!)

And there are at least 5 more "tax credits" that are either expanding or new under Obama....all using the tax system to guide the free citizen's behavior for what the savior wants and making sure his constituents are fat and well fed so they can vote for him in the future....

    Ah, the power!

And what are these "minor adjustments" going to cost? MikeH wants you to not be informed of these numbers! What a dishonest fanatic....

It will increase over 10 years by $647 billion to $1.054 trillion! So, the "capital class" will pay more taxes so that Obama and his leftist zealots can put more people on the public dole and hold their power over them....all the while sapping energy, creativity and resource from the once vibrant US economy. OVER ONE TRILLION DOLLARS just for this tax scheme nevermind all of the new spending Obama wants to start AND the trillion dollar bailout and the possible stimulus package AND his promise to balance the budget.

Oh, and that ONE TRILLION DOLLARS in socialist tax policy means that the tax-credit welfare state would soon cost four times actual cash welfare.

MikeH says, "the very suggestion that minute changes of the degree amounts to 'socialism' is just plain dispicable." can have his opinion, however wrong and misleading it is....But the damage such a drastic CHANGE (Obama's words, not mine) will have on the American spirit of independence is scary....But this is what the radical left wants....government control of our lives and using the tax system is the perfect way to so so...so hang on....The one "UNITED" states of America may become much more divided as the radical agenda of Obama and his church of zealots may be forced onto us all. The reaction is going to be tremendous!

    VERO POSSUMUS!

Oh and MikeH shows his ignorance once again with this doozy:

"I guess it's pretty telling that McCain has decided he can't trust Palin on her own with an interview unless he is there to babysit her."

What an uninformed idiot. Palin has been more accessable, ALONE, to the press than Biden has been these last two weeks as documented by Jake Tapper:

"Conversely, while Biden has an apparent embargo against fielding questions from his traveling press corps -- and from his supporters -- his once-reclusive Republican counterpart, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, has become increasingly accessible, perhaps more so than any of the four candidates.

"In the last two weeks, Palin has fielded questions twice from the Palin traveling press corps on board the campaign plane, and on Sunday night, Palin took impromptu questions from reporters on the airport tarmac in Colorado Springs, Colo., on issues ranging from her thoughts on Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama to the role of robocalls in the election.

"An hour later, she took questions again from the press pool during an unscheduled stop for ice cream before returning to her hotel for the night.

"Palin has also become increasingly accessible to local and national media. Since the vice presidential debate, she's participated in multiple interviews with local television stations across the country, and this week she gives interviews to CNN and NBC News. She has particularly embraced conservative media outlets -- in the last week, she has called into Rush Limbaugh's and Dr. James Dobson's radio programs, while also speaking on camera with Christian Broadcasting Network's David Brody."

Of course, this is an important ISSUE argument that MikeH demands from McCain supporters, not a CHARACTER argument....MikeH is a hypocrite. He gets so indignant when Obama's character is attacked, claiming personal attacks are not right, yet what does he do last night?.....Not only does he personally attack Palin and McCain, he has the facts wrong....

Another twofer for the church of SNOBamessiah zombie...

"To brand suggested minor adjustments to levels they already were the last time we had a balanced budget as 'socialism' borders on criminal dishonesty"

Does it now? In addition to the above evidence, lets add yet another sign where the democrats want to take our country economically....it sure seems like socialism and not capitalism to me.....

"Would Obama, Dems Kill 401(k) Plans?"

"House Democrats recently invited Teresa Ghilarducci, a professor at the New School of Social Research, to testify before a subcommittee on her idea to eliminate the preferential tax treatment of the popular retirement plans. In place of 401(k) plans, she would have workers transfer their dough into government-created 'guaranteed retirement accounts' for every worker. The government would deposit $600 (inflation indexed) every year into the GRAs. Each worker would also have to save 5 percent of pay into the accounts, to which the government would pay a measly 3 percent return. Rep. Jim McDermott, a Democrat from Washington and chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee's Subcommittee on Income Security and Family Support, said that since 'the savings rate isn't going up for the investment of $80 billion [in 401(k) tax breaks], we have to start to think about whether or not we want to continue to invest that $80 billion for a policy that's not generating what we now say it should.'"
