Some old footage of Olby from his sports anchor days in LA, circa 1988 (there is also a link to a Sarah Palin (then Heath) sportscast from around the same time.

NOW we know why Olbermann is so infatuated with Sarah Palin. She was his counterpart / idol back then. She must have been pretty good for keith to finally take swings at her the way he's been doing lately. It's obvious that he was and still is very jealous of her sportscasting knowledge.
Here is the added video of Sarah Palin doing her sports casting.

Thanks Ko a go go
This was the worst video I've seen of all of the OldGrumpyGuy videos on Olby. I couldn't even finish watching it.
I think you directed us to that video already, KO-a-go-go. I hadn't seen the Sarah Heath (now Palin, of course) video yet even though everybody was watching it right after she was picked as the VP candidate. It was okay. I never knew the Big 12 used to be the Big 8 nor Willis Reed was a head coach for the Nets.
While we're on the subject of Sarah Palin and sports, Fox News embed reporter Shushannah Walshe, who is covering Sarah Palin, posted about the Governor dropping the ceremonial first puck at tonight's Flyers-Rangers game in Philadelphia. (She was massively booed.)
Shush's post's comment thread is loaded with far-left Fox haters attacking FNC and, of course, Palin, *and* her family, particularly her youngest daughter. Here's the link to the post:

Read if you dare. I can already see Mr. Slovenly Political Hack devoting a segment to this on Monday's Hour of Spin.
Words to live by, OldGrumpyGuy. Words to live by... however, I'm getting sort of concerned by the silk scarf and blow dried doo. Could our wise and wonderful OldGrumpyGuy have phased into a late mid-life crisis?
He trashed Palin last Sunday night
And this week he's nowhere in sight
Keith's got "strep throat"
NBC sugarcoat
They mix football with Daily Kos Lite
It turns out reports of the boos and other accounts were exaggerated:

That is a *huge* relief.
Mike C - Shuster had it on a continuous loop this afternoon on MSNBC. Look for KO to distort it Monday night.
Regarding the Palin puck-drop event, The AP and The New York Times once again showed their bias....Both Governor Palin and her youngest daughter came out onto on ice, and were the targets of hateful partisan Democrats in the arena. It is interesting how the printed coverage of the event is missing that fact since it would make the Obama partisans look just as mean and vicious as the McCain supporters as of late.
The severity of hatred at both poles of the spectrum that makes it possible for people to boo when a mother and her small child are participating in the dropping of a puck at a hockey game is telling.
My sentiments regarding Obama and his hateful base is pretty much summed up in this exchange that was posted at INSTAPUNDIT:
"Obama's thuggish behavior thus far in this election cycle - squashing free speech, declaring any criticism of his policies to be 'racist' (a word that happily carries little weight with sensible people these days), associating with the likes of Ayers, Wright, and ACORN - suggests that I won't have to scrape for reasons to really viscerally dislike Obama and his administration. And even if he wins, his campaign's 'get out the vote fraud' activities are enough to provide people like me with a large degree of 'plausible deniability' as to whether he is actually legitimately the president.
"I've seen a President that I am generally-inclined to like get crapped on for eight years, and I've seen McCain and Palin (honorable people both, despite policy differences I may have with them) get crapped on through this election season. If the Democrats think that a President Obama is going to get some sort of honeymoon from the folks who didn't vote for him, as a wise man once said: heh."
Part of a reply:
"I'm sad with you, but Mr. Gately's doing nothing more than describing the new rules of engagement as far as politics are concerned. If there was anything close to an honest and unbiased media in this country, those attacks just wouldn't work. But, the mainstream media is so far to the left that it fuels talk radio on the right, and their respective audiences just aren't interested in listening to one another any more."

With Representative Lewis' cynical race baiting politics essentially calling John McCain a present-day George Wallace, I am forever jaded against an Obama administration and the present-day Democratic Party. If the far left can particpate in the active destruction of a President for eight years despite a domestic terrorist attack, economic challenges and our troops honorably serving in war zones, I suppose I can contribute the the opposing force in the future, if it is necessary.
A worse failure of both a President Obama and his lackey party in the congress will be delayed vindication. The cliche Obama's mentor incorrectly applied to the murders of 9/11 is applicable here, "The chickens will come home to roost."
VERO POSSUMUS!
If you put 14,000 people in that arena and introduced the mother of each one, they would be booed. That is the way it is in the city of Brotherly Love. If Yo Mama Obama were out there dropping the puck, he would also get his share of the same. It's their thing out there.
I'm not so sure about that. He's a liberal Democrat.
Plumber to Obama: "Your new tax plan is going to tax me more. Isn't it?"
Obama: "It's not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. I think that when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

Wow, I would really like to know the Constitutional passage that gives Obama such absolute authority, either as a US Senator or a US President.
What a guy!
It all sounds good, but it usually does, and did previously.....Despotic, secular socialism sounded good in parts of The Manifesto too....
"....from those according to their ability to those according to their need....."
What arrogance. What pretense.
Chilling words, "I want to make sure..." Where is the freedom? It is at stake in this election. Radicalism versus moderation.
VERO POSSUMUS!
