Tolerance is what (s)he will claim
Only if your opinion's the same
Biased and smug
Munching the rug
Is (s)he the dude or is (s)he the dame?
ATTN all:
The November 2008 edition of MAD Magazine (which yes, I occasionally read) is featuring Keith Olbermann in a two-page spread on his slovenly political coverage.
"MAD Deconstructs TV Talk Shows- This Month: Countdown with Keith Olbermann"
Check it out, it's pretty funny.
Apparently, Obama is getting his talking points from Olbermoronn. Barry also accused Palin of not repudiating the "kill him" comment.
Note to Barry: Gov Palin had not yet arrived at the rally when the comment was shouted (as pointed out by OlbermannWatch).
I just think Big John is not energized enough and a little slow on the uptake. This thing about their VP selection bugged me. Were I him I would have taken the experience thing to the next level. Neither BO nor Biden have had any experience running a two car parade. So Sarah was a small town mayor but is also a state Governor. She at least understands the role of an executive. I would have busted BO and said my partner has more experience than either you or your boy.
It's over. I'm even more sure this than I was last week. It's really over. It's fitting that the debate was a county away from Shea Stadium where another entity collapsed and lost something...TWICE!
Rachel Madow looks like a shaved yetti.
As usual OldGrumpyGuy is on the money! "Self-righteous and smug" certainly describes the entire MSNBC line-up, no one more so than Keith Olbermann. In the case of the Beast with No Name, I'd add the term "canting".
I also enjoyed OldGrumpyGuy's attempt to ameliorate the dire subject matter by ending things with some footage of his adorable cat (although the piece did give me a bit of motion sickness). The beautiful Sarah looks more ocelot than kitty cat and I couldn't help wondering how she would look with the Beast with No Name's hair.
I'm off to YouTube to give this latest offering Five Stars!
It's over? It's FAR from over. Despite what the left-wing media pundits are declaring, McCain easily won the last debate. Poor Barry was on the defensive for the entire 90 minutes: Energy, NAFTA, taxes, Ayers, ACORN, Joe the Plumber,... what debate were you watching, MikeC?
I gotta say, I'm trending towards MikeC on the optimism scale. The media, expanded to include more than just the radical left's cheerleader MSNBC, is in on the narrative now and examples of bias and journalistic malpractice are starting to litter the landscape.
AP is publishing a very unflattering photo of McCain this morning...it's information value or contribution to the political analysis?....I dunno, you tell me.

Even "Joe the plumber" is the target of leftwing demogoguery and investigation. They are now claiming that he is not registered to vote....without source information...Just based on bloggers' claims they researched the Ohio voter rolls and did not find his name.....
Next, the left will tell us all sorts of nasty stuff about this typical small businessman who correctly pegs Obama as a redistributor....his tax policies are leftist and fundamentally socialist.
Oh well...with the media now fully in the tank, a miracle will have to occur....I believe in miracles but this one seems destined to go to the liars, smear-merchants and demogogues.
VERO POSSUMUS!
My mistake, it was REUTERS that published the still shot of McCain, not AP.
I tried to watch this OldGrumpyGuy video, but gave up after a minute. I think I've had my fill of him. Besides, from the minute I saw, he was taking the Rachel Maddow bashing a little *too* far.
Cee,
Other Republican candidates have faced a media onslaught against them and managed to connect to the American people anyway.
I think McCain suffers foremost from our "interesting times" and ultimately from his own inability to fully communicate his ideas.
A 'for instance' can be found in Bob Schieffer's surprising question about the U.S. educational system receiving more money than its counterparts in other industrialized nations, but remaining less competitive. It's very rare you hear THAT fact outside of conservative quarters. McCain should have made damn sure that the audience picked up on it too, but he didn't.
McCain also failed to pithily articulate the consumer driven aspect of school vouchers and of his health care plan -- maverick reforms that are NOT just more of the same.
I don't quite understand why this would be the case, he's had amble time to practice...
