This is the recappers' comment thread for Countdown, November 13 2008. You can post your reactions to tonight's Hour of Spin, but we have something special for you to enjoy (courtesy of MikeC).
Opie and Anthony deliver a scathing vivisection of Keith Oralmann's latest Special Education Komment. Warning: the language is R-rated, at least. In two parts:
More interesting news from Pew:

Olbermann is officially the favorite campaign correspondent of the Democrat party. Big surprise there.
O'Reilly is top Republican choice, as well as America's favorite campaign correspondent overall. O'Reilly also was America's least favorite, and the Democrats' (unfounded in my view, but the Dems, especially Olby, love to smear the guy). Love him or hate him, I guess.
Republicans' least favorite was Katie Couric (based on the Palin interview).
If the numbers say anything I think it's that Olbermann fares well with the liberal base, but the mainstream audience just doesn't know him, and most Republicans just don't care.
I think it's very fair to say that O'Reilly is the Howard Cosell of today.
#5 - Hillary for Secretary of State? After getting in another Palin stalker comment "Springs a turtle", we find out info was leaked out from Obama advisers to Andrea Mitchell, Hillary is being considered. Other candidates include Kerry, Richardson, and Daschle. Chris Kofinis, Demo Strategist talks. "Interesting and bold choice" is said by Kofinis.
"If you worried that with the election over this program might have to revert to mindless rubbernecking over vapid celebrities making fools of themselves in public, you were right." "Uh, Governor, Brittany Spears wants her act back". After 2 more shots at Palin...... well you get it after a while. Carlson brought out to comment on RGA speech Palin made.
#4 - Undecided races in AK, GA, and MN. Footage of McCain speaking for Chambliss. Stevens ex-poller says Stevens can't come back". In MN, Chuck Schumer says Democrats will not allow Republicans there to intimidate a recount process that is allowed by state law. Schumer says it's possible but unlikely Democrats will get to 60. Slippery Shuster brought out. "Obama would create even more goodwill if he went down there (to GA) and helped Jim Martin". After Shuster said Arkansas instead of Alaska, "A defeated candidate or 10 voters can request a recount within 3 days of certification. They can do it by asking for a recount in 1 precinct, they can ask for many precincts, they can ask for statewide. They would have to pay unless if the final results are within one half of 1 percent, which in this case would end up being 1500 votes."
If it's within the 1500, the state pays. Keith then asks for a recount to throw Stevens out.
#3 - The Bailout Bill. "What do we now?".... and will be said until January 20 when the Messiah goes in. "700 billion was basically available for the taking!" "No one was actually in charge!" "Has this become a out of control firehose spraying tax payer money everywhere?" Robert Reich speaks.
Bushed - Blackwater gate. ICE gate. Zombie president gate. Charlie Savage of the New York Times says Bush might resist subpoenas even after he leaves office, or fight Obama over having documents released.
#2 - WPITW
Worse - Steve Doocy "who didn't look very hard as usual at a news story before opening up his big bazoo about it" Doocy cited the Pew Research Center study about the favorite campaign correspondent, which went to O'Reilly. After showing other names, including Olbermoron "But Doocy didn't have the guts to say it out loud or he wasn't sure he could pronounce it corrrectly"......
"Down there in the fine print the survey consisted of interviewing about 1,000 people. So when O'Reilly got 6% to make him the favorite or I got 5% of Democrats to make me their favorite, that means maybe 64 people said he was their favorite and maybe 24 Democrats said I was their favorite, and unfortunately 500 people said they couldn't name anybody as their favorite".
Worser - Sean Hannity & Tim Pawlenty. "Pushing legend, fiction, lie" about MN Senate race. After terrible Hannity impression about the ballots in cars being counted and being suspicious, also same sentiment stated by Pawlenty, it's now being denied by the Republican who made it up. Fritz Nack, a lawyer representing Coleman said the ballots were not tampered. Pawlenty "Pushing GOP talking points".
Worst - Limbaugh. Another terrible impression of Limbaugh, quoting him over "The Obama recession". After saying "out of concern" Limbaugh's crazy arguements used to followed a crazy but logical structure - twisted but logical, "The wheels are falling off now! Do something. Get help - maybe steroids."
#1 - Cheney meets Biden. "If Cheney is Darth, Biden is Obi-Wan?" Rachel Madcow talked.
Oddball - KO's Spekial Komments condensed to 1 minute:

Based on your information, FantasticMM, I was not able to identify the Worse blue blog source, but:
Worser blue blog soucre: Newsliars. http://tinyurl.com/5hgeq5
Worst blue blog source: Media Matters. http://mediamatters.org/items/200811120011?f=h_popular
Correction: The Worser blue blog source was The Minnesota Independent. http://minnesotaindependent.com/17385/recount-hannity-pawlenty-car-ballot-lie
The Coleman lawyer is Fritz Knaak.
I guess being new to recapping I should post links to the source(s). My fault.
It's okay. You don't have to do that. I'll handle it. I'm just glad you're handling the main recapping. You seem to have the stomach for it. Am I wrong?
Well, KO actually got 6% of the Dems to say he's their favorite. Here's the original report:
http://people-press.org/report/470/favorite-campaign-journalists
Note that Dems listed CNN in general, but MSNBC as a network is nowhere to be found.
Dems also slammed Fox News, which another Pew study showed was the most balanced of the networks during the campaign:
http://www.journalism.org/node/13436
What's most interesting about KO's dismissal of the Pew poll is that he spent the whole campaign trumping up the importance of election polls that only spoke to 1000 or so people.
So which is it, Keith?
Looks like another Great Moment in Olbypocrisy.
With no Palin, Bush, or McCain
And no Barry on the campaign
Keith's ship is sinking
Kountdown's really stinking
As the ratings circle the drain
Who doesn't think that if Olbermann topped that correspondent list that he'd be pimping it all night long?
Hey Robert,
Becky and the fangirls at ERT (bloggingolbermann) are shuting their blog down. You may want to wish them well, or note an RIP in the post here.
OOPS, you already know, I just saw it in your mini-blog, either way, it's worth a blog post to speculate why? Why would a blog shut down, when Olby is at is most popular?
Goodness, after all these months, and poor Katie is still not getting any better at this "reporting" thing:
