Moments before Jack Black appeared on "Countdown," the video he appeared was the topic of a debate on "The Factor" between Fox News contributors Mike Gallagher and Dr. Marc Lamont Hill.
http://tinyurl.com/6bxzum
In the process, BOR floats the idea of Jack appearing on the show:
"But what I object to, uh, in this debate, Dr. Hill, is the Hollywood pinheads, okay; the arrogant...you know, 'we know better.' You know, Jack Black...I'd like to have him on the program and I'm gonna invite him right now. Come on in here, Jack. I guarantee you--Jack Black--he can dress up like Jesus, he can dress up like Little Bo Peep, he won't come in here. You know why? Because he's not intellectually strong enough to do so. And I don't like that kind of supercilious stuff, and I don't think he knows what the word 'supercilious' means, Dr. [Hill]."
And at the end:
"I want you both--both you, Gallagher, and you, Hill--to call Jack Black--I know you both have him on your rolodex--and tell him to come on in here and..." Gallagher, as BOR was speaking: "Oh, he [Dr. Hill] knows him. He's got his number. I don't have his number." Dr. Hill: "I got you Obama, I can get you Jack Black."
I hope Jack does it for Jacks sake...
Please Jack don't be a douche and be on the pee-wee show only. BOR ain't the big bad wolf, he'll hear what you have to say, and give you the time do explain it.
In WPITW, Olby uses Worser to pick on Bill O'Reilly again, in a two pronged attack. First, he says Billo "wasted America's time whining about an atheist sign" in the Washington State capitol (of course, Olby thinks all of the Factor is a waste of time).
Then he blames Bill for the sign being stolen. This guy just doesn't get this at all, does he? Why does Olbermann refuse to actually mention what the sign says? It's an open attack on religion, basically calling all religious belief unreasonable and false, and that religion leads to ignorance and bigotry. This sign was posted next to a nativity scene.
Now, I'm in no ways a religious person, but even I think this sign goes way over the line. If atheists are opposed to religion as intolerant, why post a sign that is intolerant of religion? I'm sure the hardened hearts of religious people are at work with church groups gather food for the homeless and build shelter for the poor. Such as sign could have been easily constructed to be a little more neutral about an atheist faith. And atheism is as much a matter of faith as an affirmative belief in a god.
But do you hear any of this from Olbermann? Hell no. Why should Olbermann delve into this issue when he could be distorting media reports about it:
"Somebody stole the sign. Guy walks into a right wing radio station and hands it to a receptionist and leaves."
Well, Olby decided to leave a few details out of that account. Such as the radio station being a country music station. Or that while some reports (such as MSNBC's) indicated the person to delivered the sign didn't say where it came from, an employee told CNN that it had been found in a ditch. It was apparently dropped off with instructions to deliver it to host Ichabod Caine, who had been discussing the issue on the air. Caine turned the sign over to the police for investigation.
Here's the CNN story:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/LIVING/12/05/atheists.christmas/index.html
Though I suspect Olby would find this account more to his liking:
http://blatherwatch.blogs.com/talk_radio/2008/12/war-on-xmas-stolen-atheist-sign-shows-up-at-kmps-rev-ken-hutcherson-is-on-the-way-.html
(This story blasts Caine as some sort of zealot, then criticizes O'Reilly for questioning the governor but doesn't mention how Megyn Kelly opposed Bill's legal opinion on it.)
Anyway, Olbermann accuses O'Reilly of being the one who incited the theft. As if the inflammatory content of the sign had nothing to do with it. Are you kidding me? But we should throw our support to the atheists over this because they fear, and I kid you not, they said this, that they feel nativity scene encourages people to commit acts of violence against them.
Now, it was wrong for someone to take the sign. But this is a sign the state didn't have to allow in the first place. But it doesn't want to make a big deal out of interpreting its open-door religious display policy, so it gives the atheists carte blanche to say whatever it wants. The report on the Factor tonight indicated all sorts of nutty holiday displays were being offered, including an alluminum poll to honor Festivus, the fake religion from "Seinfeld" (celebrated Dec. 23. Come to think of it, i'd like to see that display).
Word is the atheists are going to return the sign with a note that says "Thou shalt not steal." Which is more clever than the sign. And Christians should have "turned the other cheek," as their savior would say (though details of the theft are under investigation, so it's presently unknown if a Christian was involved). For example, nothing was stopping them from simply putting up the same sign, but replacing the word "religion" with "Atheism." Or show the atheists how much their hearts are hardened by offering to make a substantial donation to a charity supported by the atheists in exchange for rewording the sign. I'm trying to preach cooperation here.
Besides, I don't know why Olbermann is so against religion. He obviously signed some sort of a deal with the Devil to keep his show on the air.
Anyway, the other slam on O'Reilly was about how Billo was ending his radio show to focus on keeping the television show competitive. More than enough for Olbermann to selectively cite a couple ratings demos that favored him over the past week (there's that deal with the Devil again) to "thank" O'Reilly for the competition. He says he won twice and O'Reilly won twice, with O'Reilly leading the week by an average of 20,000, by which I guess Olby means the live 25-54 demo, which doesn't tell the whole story, a typical Olbermann distortion.
Well overall numbers and overall truth are something Olby ignores, just like his overall weight and his overall ego.
He's the kind of guy that likes bits of things. Like a bit of the truth, a bit of the ratings. It's easier to spin something when it's smaller.
The train that hit Olbermahn's head
Has rendered him mostly brain dead
Beat Bill? Still waiting
Low Nielsen rating
No matter what Krazy Keith said
A typical Olbermann distortion or...Another Olbermann Lie.
I don't see KO sharing the wealth while he watched 500 of his NBC co-workers losing their jobs, some good reporters with recognizable names, while he gets a huge pay raise. Of course he never has reports from these people on his show because he relies on the same headnodders. Merry Xmas Ebneezer Olbermann. With this economy he made sure he got his share. Actually, he looks like he always gets his share and some.
Rumor has it that at Thanksgiving dinner Olby ordered three helpings of turkey. One for himself and two for his ego!
Well, you are what you eat!
Yeah the NBC news layoffs were a shocker this week. On top of that GE itself isn't doing so well. But good thing Bathtub Boy got his new deal.
I'm guessing this means more Lockup and Caught on Camera on "the place for politics".
I think their new tagline is "the power of change." Seriously.
