This is tonight's open thread for tonight's Hour of Spin. We need you to document the outrageous lies and vertiginous spin of the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann. Watch Oralmann if you dare, and do your recapping right here. Comments are open!
Merkle joins the bandwagon of talking heads letting us know just what a super-high level of insult a shoe thrown at President Bush is.
I have news for Merkle and his ilk: Shoe throwin ain't nuthin. In America when we protest, we throw feces and urine! ( Thanks MSNBC Lock-Up).
Turns out Keith is not just a tax dogger he is a pedophile. Turns out Katy Tur was just 17 years old when she was playing house with Keith. What kind of parents would let their seventeen year old daughter move in the a 46 year old man? Are they her parents or her pimp? How did Keith even meet Katy Tur? Did he wait outside her highschool in a white van?
The good thing about Goebbels-Olbermann's broadcast tonight is that he's finally talking about Iraq. Things have turned around so dramatically there (thanks to George Bush and General Petraus) that the Minister of Propanganda refuses to mention it.
Yo. I'm looking for the worst quote by Olbermann this year - has anyone got one I can use for my show tomorrow night? Is there a post made up yet that lists the ten worst? I expect that it's coming soon, but until then, any ideas?
So, what's the point of having Olbermann and Maddow back to back?
It seems Olbermann has his hour of blather, and then Maddow comes on and pretty much says the same thing. And this block is on four four hours straight.
Every day the ratings are posted
Every day Kountdown gets toasted
By Mister O'Reilly
He's rated highly
No matter what Krazy Keith boasted
Terrific
The church of SNOBamessiah designate to lead the country on education showed his "Chicago public system" skills with basic grammer.....
‘My Sister And I’: Did Obama’s Secretary of Education Nominee Make A Grammatical Error?

Answer....Yep, he did.
VERO POSSUMUS!
Geez, I wonder if Propaganda Minister Olbermann will cover the Education Secretary's gaffe?
Here's an idea for a new thread:
I recently heard that Obama plans on using Barack HUSSIEN Obama for his inauguration. I couldn't help but to be reminded of our friend, KO, naming talk show host Bill Cunningham WPITW for calling Obama: Barack Hussien Obama.
I'm not sure if you have access to Countdown's Febuary programs, but if you do, it'd be great to juxtapose KO 's statement then (Febuary 27th) to his silence on Obama's decision to use Hussien (http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2008/12/10/2008-12-10_barack_hussein_obama_he_is_now_proud_to_.html). Don't forget to add the cricket sound to KO's silence.
I have not seen this mentioned here, but.....on my XM radio I can get Fox, CNN, CNN in Spanish, CNN Headline News, CNBC, Fox Business, Bloomberg, but no MSNBC! I have never read anywhere else why this is so. Makes me question how major a network MSNBC is. I know they were on there at one time, but not for quite a while.
Indiana,
If I'm not mistaken, XM radio will only allow serious news stations on it's system.

In the Media Matters Minute, Worse was another O'Reilly Attack. Blue blog source: TVNewser. http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/fnc/the_mystery_of_the_green_logo_103317.asp
Fixed News! [Ding!] This has nothing to do with our humble correspondent, but Keith "Man on Fan" Olbermann made it such. The new light green/teal/whatever shade it is color in the FNC bug (logo) is referred to by management as a quote [Ding!] "holiday logo." Aha! Gotcha, evil Bill!
"There you go, Bill-O [Ding!]. Even your own employers call it a holiday logo. Even your own employers won‘t buy into this there‘s a war on Christmas psychosis [Ding!]. Let‘s hear you call them secular progressives and demand that people come and protest at their offices." Lame.
Worser was some old Rumsfeld [Ding!] assistant. Blue blog source: Think Propaganda. http://thinkprogress.org/2008/12/15/dirita-shinseki/
How dare this guy speak ill of St. Shinseki, who had the guts to go against the eeevil Rumsfeld [Ding!]. Quote! [Ding!] Wolfowitz! [Ding!]
Worst was Glenn Beck. Fox Noise! [Ding!] Never mind the blue blog source. "No, it‘s not. Nobody ever suggested she was going to hold both offices at once. What, Beck, do you get your news from graffiti or the cover of a matchbox? You are less well informed than Joe the Plumber. Glenn, the sun rises in the west, rises in the east, Beck, today‘s worst person in the world."
And if you thought reading that Oralmann quote was bad, just imagine what it looked like and sounded like on TV. (shudder)
Yes. It was pretty unbearable to watch. It's sad to think that with people like Osama Bin Laden and Kim Jong Il out there, Olbermann reserves the term "Worse Person in the World" to refer to someone who stumbles over a name or misspeaks about a legal point (in Olby's mind), especially when said person works for the network that happens to be Olby's competition and is killing him in the ratings.
I'd think a worst person in the world is someone who opposes the goals of our president in protecting the citizens of the United States. Hmm. I wonder why Olbermann doesn't consider Osama Bin Laden to be the Worst Person in the World?
Hmm. I wonder why Olbermann doesn't consider Osama Bin Laden to be the Worst Person in the World? By America47000
Becuase OBL to him is the best thing that ever happened to his war against president Bush. To attack the one man who (in olbermann's way of thinking) stands for everything that president Bush is against, would be like attacking his own belief's.
Won't happen, and could never happen, and I'm sure he prayed everyday, not unlike Bin Laden's own people, that Bin Laden was never caught. To hell with freedom and liberty, or to be more precise, to hell with protecting America, as it has all to do with attacking the one man who was set against the terrorists of the world.
Olbermann could give a rats ass about America's freedoms, but sure does care a lot about attacking those who do defend it. His hypocrisy knows no end, and the ultimate hypocrisy will be if his annointed messiah...president elect Obama...ends up doing the same thing the "evil" president Bush has done, and to how far his spin will go with it?
"Hmm. I wonder why Olbermann doesn't consider Osama Bin Laden to be the worst person in the world?"
Hmm....I somehow suspect that he does, but stating the obvious in a satirical news commentary format would be analagous to reporting that the sky is blue.
That said, what is really the problem here is your rather twisted concept of what constitutes 'defending America's freedoms' actually means.....In other words, it's all in your head.
