Why? to paraphrase Olby on his show tonight ...
[Keith Olbermann] is full of crap!
http://tvbythenumbers.com/2008/12/16/cable-news-ratings-for-monday-december-15/9714
Look at Campbell Brown sneaking up in viewers. How soon until The Minister of Propaganda falls to fourth?
I say that he'll be there by May.
Look at the drop off at 10 for KO. It wasn't so long ago we were hearing the "and the 10 o'clock rerun of Countdown beat the 11 rerun of Billo's show" line. No more.
Looks like the bloom may be coming off the rose of Rachel Maddow as well.
I can't imagine what the numbers will look like for both of these shows after Obama's first 100 days are up and the economy is still struggling, the troops are still in Iraq, the earth is still warming, taxes haven't risen for the rich, and the Democrats keep throwing money at private industry.
Yeah I couldn't get over KO tonight saying that President Bush was full of crap. This from a man who got all bent out of shape when there were cries of "kill 'em" at Palin rallies, yet it's OK for him to just easily say that about our President. I believe that this (in his own words) IS TREASON!
And don't you know Rush is going to come at KO with guns blazing on tomorrows' radio show after those remarks tonight about him. KO has the nerve to say that Rush is sick, I think FAT Olbermann needs to look in the mirror. I believe the phrase is "pot, meet kettle."
With no Palin, Bush, or McCain
Keith's ratings now circle the drain
Kountdown thrives on hate
There's no debate
Keith's ratings need a Nielsen crane
"Yeah I couldn't get over KO tonight saying that President Bush was full of crap. This from a man who got all bent out of shape when there were cries of "kill em" at Palin rallies, yet it is OK for him to just as easily say that about our president. I believe that this (in his own words) IS TREASON!
As someone who spent most of their career in working in scientific based logic, this is another example of how whenever I come here to look for rational arguments based on logic, I rarely find it.
For someoneu to suggest that inciting others to kill a presidential candidate (as in yelling "kill em"), is somehow equivalent to suggesting the President is clueless (as in "full of crap"), is absolutely illogical.....yet that is exactly what you just suggested.
That's the problem with Keith's strategy on WPITW. He is set on nitpicking any statement or action made by anyone with whom he disagrees politically. Olby is a typical Liberal, expecting absolute perfection and consistency from competitors and seizing on the slightest detail, while ignoring his own imperfections. So in attacking others, he opens himself up to criticisms of hypocrisy.
Of course, he allows no dissenting view on his show. And shows no viewer mail. So he shields himself from such criticisms. He has so shattered his glass house he's probably unaware the walls are gone.
BTW, you know where else you can see a bunch of these criticisms against O'Reilly that Olbermann brings up? You can see them on The O'Reilly Factor. Billo lets people criticize him. Just in the past few days Megyn Kelly went on Bill's show and accused him of stirring the pot with the Washington atheist sign issue. And she did it to his face, while Olby likes to sit back in his little bubble.
He doesn't read any viewer mail cause he probably doesn't open those addressed to Douchebag Olbermann.
But KO is a hypocrit. I can't understand how he justifies attacking O'Reilly claiming Bill-O "only does it for the ratings folks" when KO himself will pat himself on the back when he leads in the "key demo" once every month.
Also I haven't watch either show in a while, but I know Bill brought up the 250 some jobs lost at NBC News. Did Bathtub Boy do the same? I mean it was a top story, and Countdown is all about the top stories of the day.
MSNBC.com hasn't updated their transcripts in two days. They don't even have transcripts for Monday shows up yet.
They laid off the transcript poster?
No, but they're sure slow.
Monday's transcript is up now, though.
Not to put too fine a point on things for the lefties....but someone yelling "kill em" at a Palin appearance is a myth. The Secret Service investigated and could find only ONE witness...who happened to be the reporter who 'reported' the event. KO should realize that people who live in tin houses shouldn't throw can openers.
Tuesday's "Countdown" transcript is a duplicate of the "1600 Pennsylvania Ave." transcript. They made this mistake for Wednesday, too.
