So, the ratings for Jan. 21 show some signs of stabilization following the inauguration:
http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/ratings/the_scoreboard_wednesday_jan_21_106642.asp
Fox News dominates over MSNBC, but CNN is getting a bounch, presumably from non-regular cable news viewers looking for Obama news.
Worse was Gibby for the Phil griffin story he told, apparently Oblermann told the correct story cause he was there.
Worser was Rush. Olbermann used Rush's "bend over and take it" phrases do describe Rush, when actaully Rush used that phrase to describe loons like Olbermann. Also Oblermann is insisting it's a homo-sexual jab, cause you know only homo's bend over and take it.
And Worsest....My DVR switched it over to NBC to record The Office before I could see who worsest is.
Overall terirble show. More "exclusives" on the NSA thing, despite no one could answer any of Olbermann's generic questions. It felt like he was just fishing for people to tell him what he wanted to hear, only that didn't happen either.
ATTN: Red Eye fans. The super-hot and intelligent Megyn Kelly will be on tongiht's show, as the caption said during The Factor.
Wow. Olby continues his "exclusive" interview with whackjob Russell Tice, then interviews a New York Times reporter who claims his phone records were investigated. Anyone know if they investigated this guy before or after he leaked national security info about the surveillance?
Oh, by the way, does KO understand the FISA court ruled these methods were legal?
Worse was former Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain's million-dollar spending spree on various crap.
As for the Phil Griffin story, Olby says Griffin went to say hello to a woman Gibson was with, and she asks why MSNBC went liberal, and Griffin says "we didn't go liberal, we went smart." Which if true just means Olby outed Griffin as delusional as well if he thinks they didn't go liberal. Cuz it is way too obvious that it did.
He also made WPITW the #1 story instead of #2 to fit the flow of all the middle segments that hyperbolized the severity of domestic surveillence
Yeah both stories don't sound good now that I think about it.
And if smart means 3rd place, well what's 1st place then?

Worst didn't have a blue blog source. Keithy doesn't realize it, but his Olbsession, the eeevil O'Reilly, has already cornered the proverbial [Ding!]--by which I mean figurative--market in going after greedy CEOs. And if you're gonna copy the Bill O'Reilly playbook, Merkle, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to step outside.
Now, take a wild guess whom I was paraphrasing in that last sentence. Hmm...
I'm gonna guess Olbermann? Please let me be right.
Correct.
I am sure I'm a little slow on this but the NSA guy was determined to be mentally unstable suffering from paranoia, which resulted in losing his job with nSA? When will Olby come out and admit he too suffers from this mental instability? It's no wonder these two found each other, both of them are off the reservation in some alternate reality lalaland thinking everyone is reading their emails.

Irushbaby,
You're not slow on this at all. On the contrary, you're quite perceptive to see that Traitor Tice was bound and determined to be mentally unstable. In fact, he often insisted on it:-)

Oh my! I just saw the segment where Olby and Dean agree to go looking for the "secret Bush pardons" that may have happened but are still classified. Wow.
Keith snuck in Another O'Reilly Attack where'd you least expect it: Best Persons in the World (BPitW). I didn't find this out through the MSNBC.com transcript; it isn't up yet. I found out through a clip on J$P of John Gibson's latest discussion on Bathtub Boy. Blue blog source (I assume): Newsliars. http://www.newshounds.us/2009/01/22/listen_my_children_and_you_shall_hear.php
The Ted Baxter voice was used. Billo the Clown! [Ding!] Billo! [Ding!] Gibson said it too! He's copying from John Gibson! Etc. I assume Man on Fan flung papers off his desk at the end of the attack.
Another potential source for that attack: his own network's message boards. http://boards.msn.com/MSNBCboards/thread.aspx?threadid=903421
Just watched it. It was about O'Reilly saying he was going to be "Paul Revere," in the sense of raising the warning flags, which is something he has been talking about for a month. But I guess they just decided to pick on it because he said it last night.
Olbermann slams him because John Gibson said something similar two years ago.
I don't think anyone who ends his show with "Good Night and Good Luck" has any authority to make fun of copying someone else.
Plan on seeing something about Palin's wardrobe on Friday's show.
On an unrelated topic, did you see this article in Forbes? They rated the 25 most influential liberals in US media. Matthews was rated #12. Maddow #7. Olby was.... Unrated!
http://www.forbes.com/2009/01/22/influential-media-obama-oped-cx_tv_ee_hra_0122liberal.html
The only mention of his name was in their description of Maddow: "Maddow, a lesbian, has outpaced Keith Olbermann and other colleagues to attract a cultish following hooked on her blunt outsider's perspective."
Forbes magazine, today's worst person in the world!
To elaborate further on the O'Reilly Best nod, here is the Talking Points Memo from last Wednesday that was parsed by Krazy Keith:
TRANSCRIPT: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,481488,00.html

If you watch the video, notice how our humble correspondent's delivery differs from Olbermoronn's parsed dramatization.
Here is the full text:
"So what now? How do we cover the new Obama administration?
Good question, and I have a clear answer: I am going to become Paul Revere.
Right now, you're in danger. Your family is in danger. Your pet is in danger. The economy's awful. The collapse of the financial system is due to massive corruption on Wall Street and a federal government that didn't much care.
As we have proven beyond a reasonable doubt, Congress, President Bush and most economic analysts completely missed the corruption that badly damaged the world's most vibrant economic system.
People like former Merrill Lynch CEO Stanley O'Neal, General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt and financier Bernie Madoff violated every good business practice in pursuit of making money for themselves. And the feds let them.
Now, Madoff will likely go to prison, but Immelt will get away with doing business with Iran and corrupting NBC News, turning it into a far-left enterprise. Although with GE stock at about $13, Immelt could be fired at anytime.
However, the absolute worst is O'Neal, who walked away with more than $100 million after ruining Merrill Lynch. Millions of investors were hurt by O'Neal, who continues to live lavishly here in Manhattan.
So the fix was in. Again, the feds allowed these men and thousands of other white-collar bad guys to run wild.
The first thing President Obama has to do is restore some confidence, convince working Americans that the financial arena is not a rigged game, and that's not going to be easy with people like Congressman Barney Frank still calling financial shots.
So my job is to warn you about the economy and about national security. We've already told you that unless the Obama administration institutes tough new anti-terror measures to replace the ones being dismantled, the odds of a new terror attack will rise dramatically.
Now you may have noticed that "The Factor" hasn't nitpicked Barack Obama. We don't play the gotcha game because that doesn't do you any good. This isn't a time for ideology. This is a time for problem-solving.
Far-left zealots want to destroy America so they can rebuild it as a socialistic paradise, a hyper-Sweden. Those people are dangerous, and we'll watch them closely.
The media is flat out corrupt and will not bring a skeptical eye to President Obama, because many press want the Sweden scenario and will spin and deceive to get it.
Now I'm not legally changing my name to Paul Revere, but you can call me Paul because I will be warning you about the economy, about the terror factor, about the corrupt media. So if you see me riding by throw some refreshment my way, because we are going to be very busy these next few years.
And that's "The Memo.""
Via the MSNBC.com transcript, here is the Olbsessed parsing:
"Number two: Best rerun. Billo the Clown [Ding!], (Ted Baxter voice): “The media is flat-out corrupt and will not bring a skeptical eye to President Obama. I'm going to become Paul Revere. Now, I'm not legally changing my name to Paul Revere”—(normal, under breath, grinning): thanks for telling us that—(Ted): “I'm not legally changing my name to Paul Revere but you can call me Paul because I will be warning you about the economy, about the terror factor, about the corrupt media.”
(normal): OK, *Paul*, I'm sure you'll be happy to know John Gibson went on the air in April 2006 and said, “Call me John ‘Paul Revere‘ Gibson riding my horse through the night.” Billo [Ding!], you are borrowing from John Gibson."
As the clip played the followed day on "Gibson on Fox" went, "Whoa-ho-ho-ho-ho!"...or something like that.
Speaking of parsing, while naming "comedian [Ding!]" Rush Limbaugh Worser Person, Merkle ACTUALLY ADMITTED HE PARSES! "Limbaugh also complained that his critics are not, quote [Ding!], listening or parsing my words. I think we are, actually. These words fit in with his previous observation that when it came to support from gays or African Americans, quote [Ding!], [likely reading from Gotcha paper]. And they also fit in with his previous comment that criticism of the Governor of Alaska was [likely reading another gotcha paper]. I'm parsing his words. He sure spends an uncomfortable amount of time describing himself and others bending over and grabbing his ankles." As always, our pal Keith keepin' it classy.
...*following* day...
