More of the same for Olbermann. Buried in third place in the Monday Jan. 26 ratings:
http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009/01/27/cable-news-ratings-for-monday-january-26/11662
Good showing for Larry King with the Gov. Blagojevich interview, which was poached from Geraldo Rivera after Blago hired the publicist of Drew Peterson, whom Geraldo has slammed in the past.
Campbell Brown may catch up to KO sooner than we think
Geraldo is the only person on Fox News I would like to see fired.
America47000, I enjoy reading your comments. When I see your name, I make sure I read what you have to say.
I caught a few minutes of the Obama Propaganda Hour and heard Goebbels-Olbermann talking about the EVIL Republicans holding up Obama's "stimulus" plan, despite the Messiah trying to sway the GOP to back his plan. The last time I checked, Democrats dominate both congressional houses. How can the GOP stop anything?
I'm guessing that Obama has doubts about his own "stimulus" plan and he want the GOP on board so he can have cover once his plan fails.
Why Obama is the worst person in the world.

Goebbels-Olbermann also mentioned that an Obama staffer called Citi Bank and convinced them not to buy that $50 million jet. (lie)
Citi Bank decided not to buy that jet because of them being embarrassed by the media.
Does KO expect to get a pair of kneepads signed by Obama?
I can see the autograph now: To Keith (my bitch,) thank you for your constant oral pleasure. Barack Hussien Obama
Damn, he's fat Bathboy. And today is his b-day. 50. Looks like he caught his waist size too. I think we need to rename him Saunaboy.
Holy Cow! I hesitate to make this comment b/c it may be seen as a personal attack that will just weaken my real arguments (Olbs doesn't understand that concept) but my God, how much weight has that man gained this past year? He's like post 40 Elvis. I thought last nights dripping with sweat Keith was bad but after the footage of his entire frame tonight I'm shocked. His old buddies at ESPN, Berman and Golic need to show him nutrisystems.
Anyway, after the rant on Goldbergs new book you'd think Olbs would have at least waited until the next segment to pick and chose portions of Limbaughs quotes for WPIW. Maybe Shuster to put Olbs up for "hypocracy watch wednesday".

I don't have much to comment on KO's program even hough I saw bits & pieces.
But two random thoughts:
1) If I watch some Countdown (bits & pieces) does that count in the TV ratings for KO?
2) Am I the only one who detests Bill O's frequent contributor: Prof. Lamont Sanford....err I mean Lamont Hill?
Fat Ass Olbermann calling Rush fat? Has Fat Ass looked the mirror? Limbaugh might be fat but at least he doesn't have birthing hips fat ass.
Fat Ass Olbermann calling Rush fat? Has Fat Ass looked the mirror? Limbaugh might be fat but at least he doesn't have birthing hips fat ass.
Evidently, Ubermoronn has no post-Bush contingency plan for his "news show". The Bush derangement shtick is tired. Countdown is like a lame horse that should be put down for humanitarian reasons. Keith should quit bashing O'Reilly and worry about Nancy Grace and Campbell Brown bitch-slapping his career into relative obscurity.
Now Olbermann is a mind reader. He read Ali al-Shihri's and found out that he didn't become a bomb terrorist scum bag because he is a scum bag. I was all Bush and Gitmo's fault. LOL. Olbermann is a terroist's best friend.
I'd rather have Dr. Marc Lamont Hill as a far-left voice at FNC than at MSNBC or CNN. The same goes for Ellis Henican.
SB_Mich. I think you have most of this pegged. Obama does have the votes and doesn't need help from the other side. I suspect he actually believes he has the right answers. But, you are correct. If he can BS them to climb aboard and it doesn't work (at least 50/50 on that) then he can claim blame for both sides and not lose as much. His big clam to judgement fame is "voting" against Iraq when in fact he didn't even have a vote and didn't have to be accountable for how it shook out one way or another. He likes that position and if they climb aboard the TARP gravy train with him on this he will be in as comparable position as possible given the circumstances where he should have to be accountable.
I went to the "Countdown" website to see who was in WPitW (without watching the video). As you guys indicated above, BOR was Worser and Bernard Goldberg was Worst. Blue blog source: Media Matters. http://mediamatters.org/items/200901250008?f=h_latest
The far-left smear site has declared war on Bernie, and Keith "Rip 'n Read" Olbermann predictably took the smear.
What was the O'Reilly Attack for? And who was Worse?
After reading a post about Olby on NewsBusters (which is in the Olbermann Flood), I think I know why we refer to him as Fat Ass here to OlbyWatch. He called Roger Ailes that name in September 2006. Here's the NB link:
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brad-wilmouth/2009/01/27/olbermann-obama-separating-mullah-limbaugh-herd-latest-fat-joke-about
Is Keith at Raymond James Stadium or elsewhere in the Tampa Bay area?
Also, in the OlbyFlood, Edward R. Olbermann and the esteemed Rachel Maddow have been nominated for GLAAD's Outstanding TV Journalism Segment award. For Keith, the nomination is for his Special Education Komment on the evils of Prop 8. Don't worry, Keith. It'll be overturned. You've got the law on your side, to borrow the tagline for LegalZoom.com.
I should say *re-overturned*.
And yet Greg Gutfeld is on GLAAD's naughty list for his stance on trans-sexual hookers. Unbelievable.
Just a guess, but I'll assume the O'Reilly Worser nod was from blue blog source Media Matters. http://mediamatters.org/items/200901260032?f=h_latest
If that's the case, wow, Krazy Keith standing up for Barney Frank.
GLAAD doesn't get the satirical humor and wit of "Red Eye" or the man behind it...no, not Bill Schulz. (See? There's the humor. ... Oh, the packages have arrived!)
Actually Mike C., O'Reilly was worser for this: http://thinkprogress.org/2009/01/27/oreilly-afghan-deaths/
Afterwards Keith called him "a sick man."
And the bronze went to Rush Limbaugh for slamming ACORN and claiming $4.19 billion would go to the voter fraud group. Then KO says the money is going to community development groups that could bid on it, and that Rush is just trying to scare people into hating Obama.
Olby's script for that rant came courtesy of, SURPRISE, Media Matters as well: http://mediamatters.org/items/200901270015
And yes, Keith is in Tampa Bay to cover the Super Bowl. He was at the stadium to cover media day, remarking that it's his 50th birthday, and since he first covered a media day when he was 27, everyone still says the same BS.
So, Congressional Democrats are threatening Republicans who don't support the stimulus that they will be branded as obstructionist. As already pointed out, politically this is an attempt to mute the Republican if the stimulus doesn't work.
The hypocrisy of all this is that it's the exact opposite of the Iraq War resolution. Back then, it was fine and well for Democrats to not support it just so they could gloat when it failed. Obama took full advantage of that. And what choice did they have? A smooth Iraq War would have strengthened Republicans so much politically the Dems would have been powerless anyway.
But now when the tables are turned, and they are in power, they want the Republicans to just lie down, throwing out empty threats trying to barter insurance for political capital. It's a joke. If the Republicans lie down, they will be politically powerless even if it succeeds, since it's the Democrat's plan. They need to oppose this.
Then again, "success" is a matter of perspective, isn't it? Republicans and Democrats have a different definition of success, don't they? For example, Democrats will create any number paper-pushing government jobs to oversee new spending, and claim that is successfully reducing unemployment. Republicans will call it cheating. Democrats will just give handouts to people, encouraging their laziness. Republicans will object on the grounds that this isn't the American way. And it isn't.
Democrats ask the question of how we can maintain our national soul in a war if we compromise our ideals on issues such as torture.
Well, what about historically American economic ideals such as hard work and earning your own keep? How do we compromise those ideals and not lose a part of America?
But the Democrats want to create a new America, as far removed from the visions of our Founding Fathers as was England or Russia.
And if at the end of this experiment that is the Obama presidency they can look out upon that disgraceful new America they have crafted, then they will call that a success.
Now we have Obama and the Democrats taking on Rush Limbaugh. Telling Republicans in Congress they can't listen to Rush and expect to get along.
Translation: Don't think for yourselves. Become sheep to us. Ignore why you are Republicans.
Next step: reintroduce the Fairness Doctrine to shut down Rush. And any other conservative voice who would dare stand up to these insane philosophies.
Why shouldn't Rush want Obama to fail? Rush does not want to see the New America. He was perfectly fine with the old one. As were we all.
But thanks to public schools, most of us didn't even know it.
Qpublic:
The ratings are somewhat of a shell game. It's basically a scientific poll that involves specially selected viewers whose viewing habits are tracked through special equipment provided by the Nielsen company (or whoever is keeping score). These habits are further broken down according to various household members who may belong to different demographic groups. So one person could represent 1 million viewers.
So unless you are one of the boxed viewers, you watching a bit of KO isn't statistically significant.
Plus, I think it takes something like 6 minutes for a viewer to count toward a particular show.
That doesn't mean the ratings system isn't more or less accurate. It just means there's some wiggle room, a margin of error of about 4%, like a political poll.
So, when the numbers show O'Reilly blowing out KO as he has the past few nights, it stands to reason that if every viewer in America had been tracked, the result would have been pretty close to the Nielsen report.
But when Olby goes on his show and brags about eeking out a ratings win in a key demo, when he won by maybe 10,000 viewers, which is probably well within the 4% margin of error, he is being disingenuous.

Is Keith at Raymond James Stadium or elsewhere in the Tampa Bay area?-=-=-=-=
Ray-J. Looks like KO is set-up outside the south side of Ray-J, where the old media parking was located. That would put him at the northern perimeter of the NFL Experience next to the Team exhibits.
I went to the NFL Experience at Ray-J in 2001. I didn't go the game, but I saw a few NFL players at the Experience and at Innisbrook golf resort where I was staying the weekend of Super Bowl XXXV. "Imus in the Morning" aired live from Innisbrook's Edinburgh Hall conference room, and ESPN crew stayed at Inverness Hall.
Dead on America47k, Obama is just using the republicans so they'll take the heat when this package arrives. Cause when it does fail who do you think the media will blame first?
Republicans should keep doing what they are doing. Bring stuff to the table, but not vote on any of it. The reality is their vote isn't needed and trying to block these bills will make them look worse.
If Obama wants to play the blame game they should just sit it out. Let him and the dems make their changes, good or bad, but let them do it. Don't give them the back-door escape route with the media drooling for some meat on the republicans.
The Dems might have gotten away scotch free from the media in the past 8 years for voting for Bush policy's only to regret it later as nothing happened. But if it were republicans we wouldn't hear the end of it.
And this "reaching across party lines" sounds good, but when the other party isn't needed ( and in this case it isn't ) the Dems have no choice but to accept failure if it happens. But they'd be damned if that would happen. Most Dems run their campaigns focused on blaming everything on Republicans, so Dems making mistakes would ruin a lot of them.
Already Pelosi has been spinning on the backs of republicans. But they should realize they've had enough. Let the Dems run things, let them fail, and once they stop blaming the republicans in office now, let them complain about the previous admistration. Let them keep it up for another 4 years and the nation will see how going full left wasn't the cure.
Problem is people have a short term memory's. The nation was together. We did reach accross party lines, but then this funny thing happened. Elections were coming up in 2004 and dems who supported Bush later stabbed him in the back.
So Olbermann blasts Bernie Goldberg--who I think is right on--for not entering an entire quote. I agree that if that happened then it is disingenuous to cut quotes but isn’t that like the pot calling the kettle black? How many examples does OW have of Olby doing that exact same thing?
Keith “ the pot” Olbermann: what a d-bag.
That's the problem with politicians. Their job isn't to help the country, it's to get reelected.
MUTED MONGREL PREDICTION......
"GENUIS PRESIDENT CAN'T FIND OVAL OFFICE DOOR"
"It looks like President Obama hasn't gotten acquainted to his White House surroundings. On the way back to the Oval Office Tuesday, the President approached a paned window, instead of the actual door -- located a few feet to his right."
http://tinyurl.com/dcqsto
###
Yep. I recall Olbermann showing the Bush door problem in China over, and over again.....This gaffe of The One?.....We'll see.
Oh, and how about a WPITW shot Obama for his incorrectly dissing the greater DC area, and his girls' new school, for closing down in the face of the severe icing today?.....
"The suburban schools systems and many private schools in the region were closed today and the District public schools opted for a delayed opening because of the sleet and freezing rain that made some roads and many sidewalks treacherous.
"'Because of what? Because of some ice?' Obama said to laughter around the table. He said Sasha, his 7-year-old, pointed out that in Chicago, not only is school never canceled for snow, 'you’d go outside for recess. You wouldn’t even stay indoors.'
"He concluded by saying: 'We’re going to have to apply some flinty Chicago toughness to this town. I’m saying that when it comes to the weather, folks in Washington don’t seem to be able to handle things.'"
###
Oooo, our new President is such a STUD! What a tough guy! Whoa.
The smart guys at HOT AIR easily dissect the Presdient's presumption, error and incorrectly placed machismo....
"Spoken like a true Hawaiian. Schools don’t close for snow in Chicago and Minneapolis because we have large infrastructures to deal with the reliably heavy snowfalls in our communities. That’s not the case in many areas socked in this week by snowstorms stretching from St. Louis to Schenectady and beyond. An unplowed inch or two of snow on the ground means a lot of accidents in areas unused to that kind of weather, and for that matter here as well.
"An ice storm, with a sheet of tractionless ice on the road, practically guarantees accidents by the scores, if not by the hundreds. It would close schools here and in Chicago as well.
"And this is the man who wants to tell us what the weather means and why we have to completely revamp our energy production because some years are hotter than others?"
"Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight."

So....Will Keith Olbermann cringe and make fun of Obama's misplaced chest beating or his brilliant "FAR SIDE" cartoon moment when he pushed on a window pane to enter The Oval Office?
Will any of the MSM point out these brilliant gaffes by The One?
Doubtful. Afterall....we are in an economic crisis and our brilliant leader has a lot on his mind!
Sure.
VERO POSSUMUS!
Via the MSNBC.com transcript, a tease for WPitW: "The segues, occasionally, write themselves. Billo the clown [Ding!] says the president of the Afghanistan is an ingrate for complaining that we maybe killing his civilians at a ration of one for every Taliban killed. Billo is, of course, nuts. Worst Persons is ahead."
A few blocks later, WPitW itself.
Worse was Rush Limbaugh. "The bronze to comedian Rush Limbaugh, today saying the worst thing he could think of about the stimulus plan, ..." A lousy Limbaugh impression was likely used here. "Well, nothing because you have it completely wrong. The stimulus plan includes [yada yada yada]. The funds aren't going to ACORN. They'll go out via competitive bids. Rush Limbaugh can bid for the money, if he wants to. But he left that part out because either, A, the concept was too complicated for him to understand, or B, he wanted to scare people with that bugaboo name ACORN and he was crooked enough to leave out the part about the competitive bidding." Yep, conservatives sure are dumb.
Worser was Another O'Reilly Attack. First, here is the Reality Check segment that Keithy's blue blog source mangled up: http://tinyurl.com/bj8eb5
But on OlbyPlanet, we got this: "Runner up, Bill-O the clown [Ding!]. Hamid Karzai, the president of Afghanistan, pleading with the U.S. to curtail civilian casualties during air strikes there. ... Secretary of Defense Gates agrees with President Karzai. [Supposed quote from Gates.]
Bill O [Ding!] thinks Karzai and Gates are both full of it. The quote [Ding!], ..." The Ted Baxter voice was likely trotted out here, unless it wasn't because he likely used theatrical indignation and faux outrage for this: "Incredibly, O‘Reilly did not demand that the dead Afghans civilians all rise from the grave to thank us for killing them. Bill, you‘re a sick man." Pot, kettle.
Worst was Bernard Goldberg. Since this attack was so long--thanks to Keith's kompatriots at Media Matters--I'll skip around. "But the winner, Bernard Goldberg, former journalist. He has written a book in which he claims the media, quote [Ding!], ... Also says, MSNBC, quote [Ding!], ... An odd conclusion for a man who doctored a transcript to falsely accuse Tom Brokaw of bias in that book. Goldberg claims Charles Rose ..." Why don't you just call him Sir Charles Rose, King Olbermahn? "...asked Brokaw, ... And Brokaw then answered, ... He presented the quotes that way as if those sentences had occurred consecutively. They did not. Goldberg, in one of the worst thing anybody claiming to be a reporter can do, dismembered the actual interview to make the quotes fit his bias. In point of fact, Rose asked Brokaw ... Goldberg fraudulently, dishonestly, corruptly took part of one question from Rose and part of Brokaw's answer to a different question and married them together. It is journalistic malpractice and it is the kind of thing that explains why Bernard Goldberg was fired by CBS News. He is the equivalent of a doctor who has had his license revoked. I would return that phrase he jumped the shark to apply to Mr. Goldberg, but that would imply he made it to the other side in one piece. Bernard Goldberg of Fixed News [Ding!], today‘s worst person in the world."
Uh, Fat Ass, he's also with the evil right-wing lunatic fringe [Ding!] HBO. Thanks for remembering. Also, the Worst nod was another Great Moment in Olbypocrisy, was it not?
Can someone post a copy of that picture with a naked Obama standing on head head and Olbermann kissing his butt crack?
In a Chickaboomer comment thread, radio host Jim Bohannon brings up Herr Olbermann's Goldberg attack.
https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=1477931416808310324&postID=8546073679990686258&isPopup=true&pli=1
"Bernie was on my radio show last night and I brought up Olbermann's "WPITW" citation. Having been on tour, Bernie hadn't seen what Keith had actually said. When Bernie noted that Olbermann concluded by saying, "no wonder CBS fired Goldberg", Bernie left the studio pretty steamed, indicating "he's going to get in trouble for this one". Why? Well Keith--You blew it AGAIN--(lord, how many times now?). GOLDBERG WASN'T FIRED BY CBS. Keith Olbermann has got to be one of the lamest buffoons on the air in the last half century. He comes in just shy of "so bad he's good" status."
Then, Marty Davis aka Chickaboomer, whom I don't like that much because of her anti-BOR stance, replied:
"Jim, the "No wonder Bernie was fired from CBS" was added by the gremlins to Bernie's Wikipedia Google search. Check it out yourself. Google Bernard Goldberg bio or Bernard Goldberg Wikipedia. Bernie should be steamed.
I wouldn't even put Olbermann in the so bad he's good category. The man's got enough pathology to fill the next edition of the DSM-IV.
He's a narcissistic sociopath with multiple personality disorders and issues with authority and women.
Olbermann's the real equivalent of the wacko Howard Beale in the 1976 movie "Network." TV personality Beale was the darling at first (of management and viewers) with his rants, but MSNBC might end up doing what Faye Dunaway - the head of the corrupt TV network did - hire a band of terrorists to kill Beale on the air.
Life imitates art..."
Keithy uses the Howard Beale playbook frequently, so to speak.
