We have another local nominee for Worst Person in the World: New Rochelle School Superintendent Richard Organisciak. I don't want to spent too much time on Olbermann Watch talking about New Rochelle but this is one is so unusual - and making the rounds of the rightosphere - that I have to share it here. This ought to give you a sense of what we have to contend with here in suburbia.
At a local elementary school second graders were recently assigned an in-class assignment to color in drawings of Barack Obama to mark the occasion of the inauguration of the 44th President. The drawings depicted Obama in various heroic poses, flags waving in the background, but one drawing went beyond adulation into overt political activity disguised as a pedagogical exercise. The drawing is a campaign button, in the center of a circle Barack Obama is smiling surrounded by another circle with the words "Students for Obama 2008". This is the sort of thing one might expect in Cuba with Castro or Venezuela with Chavez not in the United State of America.

As a life-long midwesterner, l just want to thank Mr Cox for providing proof to the likes of myself that New Rochelle actually exists, and is not just the hometown of Rob and Laura Petrie, Little Ritchie, and the rest of the gang from the Dick Van Dyke Show.
Cult of personality.
Schools should be teaching respect and knowledge of the process and rule of law, The Constitution, not devotion and celebration of one particular man. It is a waste of time, and serves no purpose.
Thank God some Americans are finally coming to their senses in regards to POLICY.....
Support for Stimulus Package Falls to 37%
"The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 37% favor the legislation, 43% are opposed, and 20% are not sure. Two weeks ago, 45% supported the plan. Last week, 42% supported it. Opposition has grown from 34% two weeks ago to 39% last week and 43% today."

The dishonest democrat party legislation, meant to pay off their special interest groups for a job well-done these last two election cycles, continues to be modified thanks to the principled in Washington....President Obama not being one.
Supports falling because people are now thinking more tax cuts are the way to go. Afterall now we all know why Democrats hate tax cuts, because they don't pay them anyways.
Also it doesnt' help when you got companies like AIG, Bank of America, and that one airline taking their previous stimulus package and "spending them wisely".
Also i forgot WTF I was watching, but someone said if you took the current stimulus package and split it up to every home owner in the country it would equal to 17k a person.
But then again giving consumers money wouldn't help the economy. Instead they're still getting our money, just we're not getting any goods in return. Except for the HOPE that the companies in dire straits will turn it all around and create more jobs.
The One has spoken from on high about what is right to stimulate our failing economy.....
"In the past few days I've heard criticisms of this (stimulus) plan that echo the very same failed theories that helped lead us into this crisis –- the notion that tax cuts alone will solve all our problems; that we can ignore fundamental challenges like energy independence and the high cost of health care and still expect our economy and our country to thrive. ... I reject those theories, and so did the American people when they went to the polls in November and voted resoundingly for change."

They did?....Wait now, a new poll shows more Americans think it would be better to stimulate the economy now with, with, with....TAX CUTS!.....
"According to the poll, he could offer a tax-cut-only package, which has a plurality of support at 45-34. A government-spending-only package would be opposed by almost three-quarters of all voters, 72-15. Republicans have repeatedly offered a tax-cut stimulus plan, and they could benefit by getting the message out now about their alternative."

Barely 2 weeks into his term, and the Carter-wanna-be is already fulfilling the prediction.
LISTEN to the American people, not the democrat party special interests and the elitist left fringe in Washington, Mr. President....for the sake of our nation. We can ill afford another era of Carter.
VERO POSSUMUS!
That's the problem with the two-party system. You may like only 51% of the product but you get 100% of the platform.
The Pelosi Dems don't want to cure the economy. They want to get as many voters dependent on her social programs that they can't afford to not re-elect them.
It's not too dissimilar to their support of Affirmative Action, which if anything has perpetuated the disadvantages of black people while creating an illusion that only Democrats will help minorities.
Since we've gone off topic, I'll do the same. Guess who "The Factor" ambushed? Russell Tice, Keith Oralmann's new buddy. The ambush airs tomorrow, as viewers found out in a promo a few minutes ago. That's the good news. The bad news is if a blue blog reports on this (and one will), Man on Fan will launch Another O'Reilly Attack in WPitW or in a full segment on Friday night.
Maybe these children can join Obama's new Gestapo err I mean "Civilian Security Force".
Here on Long Island, in Hempstead, an elementary school, Ludlum, was renamed Barack Obama Elementary School. I won't besmirch that. I'll just say good for them.
Here on Long Island, in Hempstead, an elementary school, Ludlum, was renamed Barack Obama Elementary School...
Welcome to my home town. After living there most of my life I was shocked that they even spelled his name correctly, and you may not want to besmirch them Mike C. , but I for one know first hand that the least of their concerns was whether or not they should have their named changed to Barack Obama.
It is now one of the worst school districts on Long Island, and the worst crime area too. God forbid they'd get their priorities straight like actually doing something constructive to prevent this town from becoming another "Fort Apache". Prostitution, drugs, and crime at an all time high, along with a high school drop out rate that's one of the worst in the country, and now all they have to say for themselves is that they were the first school in America to have its named changed to the presidents.
And to think it used to be the hub of the whole island. Now THAT'S something to be really proud of!
I'm not directing this at you Mike C, but just commenting on the sorry affairs of what was once a good and potentially great little city, and to how the hypocrisy of it being named after the president strikes me.
Those kids better watch out or the AP could sue them for copyright infringement over the images

His appointees don't pay their tax
So Barry makes the rules more lax
Obama's been lying
The people aren't buying
Non-taxpayers should get the axe
Congrats, Mr. Cox.
You made it on Michelle Malkin today.
