I could stomach three minutes of Laura Ingraham's fill-in work and that was it. When BOR isn't on, it's three hours of doctrinaire conservatives on FNC. Beck, Ingraham, Hannity. I can stand Beck...BUT NOT IN THE AGREEMENT BUBBLE WITH LAURA!!!
What joy to see the Bloated Narcissus of cabledom commiserating with Professor Jonathan Turdly regarding rendition and torture. Leon Panetta has let down mouth-breathing lefties, big time.
Watching Olbermann perform makes one think of holding court while sitting on a toilet, fouling the air without a doubt that all forthcoming guests will enjoy the odor as much as he does.
He's so obessed with Palin, I mean he just can't let her go can he? Then when she becomes President in 2012, I guess KO will take credit for it. He makes it seem like he's the father of Bristol. Sorry KO, she's HOT, you're NOT. Palin wouldn't touch your "countdown" stick with a Obama foot pole.
Based on the previews on the "Countdown" webpage:
#5, Part 1: The Wolffe Man.
#5, Part 2: Olby and the Perfesser think that Leon Panetta will run the CIA like Bush did...or something.
Oddball: The Christian Bale outburst has been linked by a YouTube user (I assume) to...yes, you guessed it, Mr. Bill's "Inside Edition" outburst outtake. The video title on the webpage: "Another blow to Bill-O [Ding!]."
#3: Sarah Palin reveals she named her daughter Bristol after the homebase for ESPN: Bristol, CT. (waving finger): Uh-uh-uh. That's a no-no. Keithy's an ESPN alumnus...that napalmed bridges upon departure. Former comedian Paul F. Tompkins joined in the septillionth round of Palin bashing.
#2: The Media Matters Minute. Worse was Glenn Beck. Worser was Yet Another O'Reilly Attack. Worst was the billion zillionth Rupert Murdoch attack. Blue blog source: HuffPo. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/02/05/news-corp-suffers-stagger_n_164463.html
It was actually an AP story, but since it was posted on a blue blog, it became news to Rip 'n Read. A $6.4 billion loss for News Corp! Yee-ha! Bang!
As for Worse and Worser, I have no idea what the sources were, but on Media Matters, I found something that might lead to another nod for Glenn on Monday. It stems from tonight's At Your Beck & Call segment, the one I called an "AGREEMENT BUBBLE." Due to the Nazi references, Herr Olbermann will undoubtedly bring this up. Thanks, Davy B (David Brock)!
Wait, as I type, I found what may have been the Worser source: Newsliars. http://tinyurl.com/ajccgf
If that's the case, I sense another round of theatrical indignation and faux outrage. Also, this is from Tuesday night! You're bringing it up now, 'Scilla?
#1: Ann Curry's interview with Nadya Suleman, the octuplet + 6 mother, this morning on "Today."
For those that watched, feel free to fill in my blanks and correct any mistakes.
Two SHOCKING comments!
Did I actually hear that reprehensible example of a human being suggest that IF Sarah Palin had been around KO in Bristol she would have let him father her daughter?
And did Olberdouche actually suggest that Sean Hannity was a homosexual waiting below decks for the innocent boy, Jack Hawkins?
And how gay is it when he claps his hands gleefully together? Looks like a seal in San Francisco Bay.
The "hi keith"'s from alter and turley and "great thanks" from Olbs are getting gayer and gayer, the lisp is impossible to miss.
Keith is all calling Bush & Cheney a facist, but what would Keith call a president who just merged his adminstration with a company that owns a large chunk of the mass media, defense industry, energy, financial, and medical. I would call him Obama and GE, the new facist administration now that Jeff Emelt the worst CEO in GE history is an economic advisor to Obamanation.
I just thought of something. Is Russell Tice related in any way to former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Tice? They certainly look alike.
So let's see if I have this right:
1. Olbermann makes references to "O'RALly".
2. Olbermann talks about Bill O'Reilly on every show.
3. Olbermann frequently repeatedly emphasizes the word "Dick" when he uses it to talk about Dick Cheney.
1+2+3 = Olbermanns fascination with Bill O'Reilly and penis.
Theory is sound. Olby is fascinated with Bill O'Reilly's penis.
I don't know, Ashley. That's a bit of a stretch. He's at least fascinated, and Olbsessed, with BOR.
I missed all the reruns, MSNBC is in Lockdown mode for the weekend, but really #3 Palin? I didn't think he could strech her for two nights but hell, like 12 of his 14 "Extra Special Komments" were about her during the election.
When I hear some of the posters here saying that they wished olbermann had just stayed with sports because they felt he did a good job over at espn I have to check my senses.
To me, he was the worst sportscaster I had ever heard or saw. His overly obnoxious fascination with any errors made by the pros, struck me as a man who was obviously jealous of those he reported on, while at the same time any great feat performed was usually just an afterthought that looked and sounded like something he felt he *had* to say, as opposed to something he enjoyed saying.
It got to the point with this insecure feeble minded man, that I knew if there was something done fantastic that day in any sport (no hitter, triple double in bb, 6 td's thrown etc.) that he would focus on some miniscule unimportant mistake that someone else had also done in the past.
As in: "Nolan Ryan pitched his 7th no-hitter today, but that doesn't compare with what Joe Brinks did back in 1921, while going for his first no-hitter he forgot that the pitchers in those days knew how to hit, and this pitcher was none other then Babe Ruth who promptly smacked it out of the ball park. Do you think Joe Brinks learned his lesson? You would think right? Wrong, because in his next at bat Ruth hit another one which made Brinks the loser in a 2 to 1 game."
Like who gives a f..k about Joe Brinks after Nolan Ryan pitched his 7th no-hitter?! It was ALWAYS about HIM, and never about the performers themselves. He would go out of his way to come up with any insignificant thing to diminish the greatness of the day. Like he was a "different" kind of sportscaster, and that his way was what everybody wanted to hear, but what I truly believe is that he coulded bear the thought of all the accolades thrown towards the player so he would come up with something that would take away from the feat.
I always thought that he was preaching to the non-athlete, and never could understand why the top rated sports show in the country would put on some pompous jerk who did all he could NOT to talk about SPORTS!
Believe me, I think any of you who truly believe he was a good sportscaster are only fooling yourselves, because if you really do think back to when he was on espn, try to remember ONE highlight he did where you said "Wow! That was unbelievable!" I can't think of one, but I have about a hundred that I can remember where I said "is he KIDDING me?!"
Keith Olbermann, The Worst Sportscaster in the WORLD!
Now that you mention, Wolverine, you're right. I never thought of any of that before. Keith was a bad sports anchor with adequate catchphrases. Now, Kenny Mayne, *that's* a sports anchor. I was unable to like his "Mayne Street" web show, but his dry wit are a, to quote him, hhhhome...run. Another good thing about him is he is NOT AN IDEOLOGUE. The one political jab was in a "Mayne Event" piece on "Sunday NFL Countdown" on November 9. The piece was centered around three interns holding their NFL fantasy draft at Obama's victory speech on Election Night. They called around to all the different politicians, pundits, and commentators to get their picks. At one point, one intern tells the other two, "Bill O'Reilly just chose LaDainian Tomlinson," who stats apparently weren't great at the time because the interns laughed at BOR's choice.
I went off on a tangent there (again), but anyway, you're right, Wolverine.
I just remembered seeing Olbermann on CBS in L.A. as a kid. I didn't have cable when he was on ESPN so I saw him only sporadically.

I wonder if it had to do with Obama's speech, or just general Factor dominance. The O'Reilly rerun numbers are awesome, so his ratings may be an anomaly in that a lot of the rerun numbers may be counted twice from the live show. But that 25-54 number for O'Reilly in the live hour is quite impressive.
Also note Keith lost total viewers to Campbell Brown. Oh oh. Another factor of the arrogance of showing anti-Bush stuff instead of following the other nets and showing Obama?
Nor can Keith take comfort in this story:
http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009/02/06/obama-administration-boosts-oreilly-factor-tv-ratings/12326
notes on WPITW:
The bit on Rupert Murdoch served two purposes for Keith, since picking on one media organization's profits being down when all companies are losing money is blatantly unfair (with Keith admitted):
1. Keith wanted to brag that his and Maddow's shows were the only news shows that exceeded revenue projections. Which makes one wonder either how little faith NBC actually has in Keith and Maddow, or that NBC is lying about the expectations.
2. Keith wanted to read a quote from Murdoch, "Even on [finance] terms, we have never been a company that tolerates facts." Upon reading this quote, KO got as giddy as a college boy anxiously awaiting his first hand job, immediately declaring it to be the new Fox News slogan. So clearly Murdoch was probably taken out of context on this, but I haven't bothered looking up the original documents, nor do I really care at this point.
O'Reilly was attacked for taking on Russell Tice. KO pretty much accurately described Tice's exchange with Jesse Watters, but Olby completely distorted the transcript of O'Reilly's comments.
Olby brings up that Tice told Watters to camp outside Bush's ranch and ask him these questions, saying "I love Russ Tice" (well duh, Keith, you brought the wacko on your show twice to spout his BS). KO doesn't care that Watters and O'Reilly were asking Tice to present the evidence of his claims, which he apparently doesn't have. Nor does Olby seem to realize or care that Russell Tice saying it happened is not proof of anything. Thus, Tice is basically saying "Go stalk Bush because I said these things happened."
KO reads this as O'Reilly's response to Tice after the video:
"The bottom line on this is that Tice made some very serious accusations. He went on NBC News and he cannot back them up. Now if we are wrong he can join us at any time. But he cannot back them up. He is disgraceful and so is NBC News."
Here's what O'Reilly actually said:
"The bottom line on this is that Tice made some very serious accusations. He went on NBC news and he can't back them up. Now if we are wrong, he can join us at any time. But IF he cannot back them up, he IS disgraceful, and so is NBC News."
See how KO's leaving out the word "if" completely changes the meaning of O'Reilly's statement? Sounds like a great opportunity for another Johnny Dollar video special. Olby wanted to make it seem as if O'Reilly was declaring NBC News to be disgraceful in general, when O'Reilly was simply stating that NBC News should have to present proof when airing such wild accusations. Otherwise they are just muckrakers in the worst tradition of journalism. But I think we all know Olbermann seems to think he is above such ethical standards.
Olby also chided O'Reilly for saying Tice appeared on "NBC News" and not MSNBC. "Pay Attention." Yet O'Reilly first mentioned it as "NBC's cable news station," and later cited it as NBC news when talking about how they didn't challenge Tice on the accusations. O'Reilly skillfully never bothered to mention Olbermann's name, or show his picture in the clip, at all. Point to O'Reilly.
I don't know where Keith gets this delusion that MSNBC is not NBC news. The URL "NBC News" re-routes to MSNBC.com
KO also puts forth that Billo had the ulterior motive of stalking Tice because when asked about his interview on MSNBC, and given the chance to appear on The Factor, Tice insulted O'Reilly as a scumbag or something. KO ignores the obvious point, which Billo made, that if Tice was so eager to publicize these wrongdoings about the NSA spying on Americans illegally, that he should be going on any news shows, especially the highest rated one on cable, to get the message out, instead of selectively choosing only the station and host that would be inclined to air his inane comments without a shred of proof or a hint of a challenge to his credibility.
It just means that Keith is showing no signs of dropping his personal vendetta against O'Reilly. The ratings sure do reflect that paying off for him
Oh, and the Glenn Beck attack was about Beck saying the S-CHIP program was socialism. Olby repeated earlier attacks about Beck in promos for his new show deriding partisans who use the term socialism as an easy attack on Democrats. Olby then made several personal attacks, how there's no evidence Beck was using his brain, and that Olby believes Back may be crazy. Stay classy, Keith.
This has gotten old a long time ago. What great crimes did these people commit to be labeled the Worst Person? The other day he defended the New York Times against O'Reilly, who declared the Times wanted an agenda in which illegal immigrants could become citizens who could register as Democrats and ensure Liberal policies are enacted. Maybe even pure socialism. O'Reilly is completely correct in this, as this kind of social engineering has been happening far beyond the issue of illegal immigration. It's as basic as what is taught in schools.
But how does O'Reilly attacking the New York Times earn a status of WPITW? I can only think that Keith is in such agreement with the NY Times that he must defend them at all costs, and that O'Reilly's attempts to bring them down are an obstruction to his agenda, and thus in his mind are worst than an Al Qaida bombing.
So, they are WPITW because they disagree with Keith. And that in my book actually makes them among the Best Persons in the World.
Another thing ...
I wonder if Keith really isn't bent out of shape because The Factor exposed just how unstable Russell Tice is, which seems to be why he was canned from the NSA in the first place.
They replayed the Tice ambush on Fridays show ( I agree with Mike, Laura is just too much for me too ) but I had the tv on all night and woke to Tice expressing his 1st amendment rights.
But this is a classic example of how the Factor just owned KO and Ko didn't even realize it. Besides skewing Bills quote I'm guessing KO left out what both Bill and Jesse said how they're concerned the Factor might be spied on, and if so they want to know who was involved.
Jesse said it all. Tice was unprofessional, and disgraceful. And Bill was right NBC is also disgraceful for giving this guy a soapbox for 2 nights making accusations he couldn't back up.
Even though Bill won't mention KO by name or show his picture KO has to be worried. That Times article really riled Bill up and the Tice ambush was just the first of many to come tactics Bill uses to take people on without resorting to childish antics, name calling, bad impressions, and skewing the truth.
In other words KO is out of league, but this is the fight he wanted. Only Bill won't play by his rules, and now KO has to be thinking twice about what he does and who he has on. But as we all know his ego won't let him process rational thinking like that. he's too big to fail in his mind.
It's the beginning of the end, the Countdown has begun.
To moonbats Keith tried to cater

"2. Keith wanted to read a quote from Murdoch, "Even on [finance] terms, we have never been a company that tolerates facts." Upon reading this quote, KO got as giddy as a college boy anxiously awaiting his first hand job, immediately declaring it to be the new Fox News slogan. So clearly Murdoch was probably taken out of context on this"
Keith read the quote (rather than run the video or audio of it) because Murdoch (who was talking about the cutbacks at News Corp) actually said "We have never been a company that tolerates fat."
BTW A47, your breakdown of the WPitW was so good that I again broke it out into a post of its own. Great Thanks!
"I wonder if Keith really isn't bent out of shape because The Factor exposed just how unstable Russell Tice is, which seems to be why he was canned from the NSA in the first place." America47000 on February 7, 2009 8:18 AM
The Factor barely scratched the surface of the extent of Russell Tice's instability. Some of his statements contained bits of truth, but were no where near to what LoBloKO claimed. Capabilities vs. actual ops.
Most of Tice's ramblings were out right lies.
I think the gov has decided to ignore him. It's only against the law if he states facts that are classified. Lies aren't illegal.
So, I was wrong about what the O'Reilly attack would be over, but that made my Wednesday night prediction in the Obama-New Rochelle thread correct:
http://www.olbermannwatch.com/archives/2009/02/a_barack_too_fa.php#comment-221545
"Guess who 'The Factor' ambushed? Russell Tice, Keith Oralmann's new buddy. The ambush airs tomorrow, as viewers found out in a promo a few minutes ago. That's the good news. The bad news is if a blue blog reports on this (and one will), Man on Fan will launch Another O'Reilly Attack in WPitW or in a full segment on Friday night."
I couldn't find a blue blog source, which is why I assumed the biased bassets were the source for tonight.
KO's end is getting closer and closer. Maybe Rush could loan him one of his hearing aids? KO can't decifer between the words FAT or FACT.
A note to Olberwoman: Dear FATASS, quit while you can, run Forest run, you've run out of networks to go to for work. I hear there's an open slot just waiting for you ober at AirHeadAmerica!!!!
Yes Keeef, you're going down, and when I say down I mean hard slammin down. At the moment, you are my Christmas present.
CHANGE..... CHANGE.... yeah we got change alright, pocket change.
New slogan for 2010, 2012, NEVER AGAIN
Tonight KO is receiving the Ally for Equality Award from the Greater NY Human Rights campaign, apparently for his prop 8 special comment. He seems to have taken the almost-tears approach to these comments since Ben Affleck's scathing SNL version. His latest one was far more sober than the crazy rants he had been doing. I'm betting the SNL mockery hit a nerve.
http://greaterny.hrc.org/node/263
I got the blue blog source wrong for Worst. It was actually Daily Kos, Oralmann's own blog. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/2/6/205310/3510
Via the transcripts, here was Oralmann's set-up for the Bale/O'Reilly Oddball video. "We begin at the end of what has been an awful week for actor Christian Bale. He has today apologized for his profanity filled detonation at a co-worker on a movie set. On the Internet, the tirade, recorded somehow, has been mixed into songs and various other quote mash ups. But tonight from the Net comes the awful truth of just who provoked the actor." The infamous "Inside Edition" outtake was mixed together with the Christian Bale outburst. Keithy, you can't justify bad behavior by pointing to other [supposed] bad behavior.
I'll handle WPitW in the next thread.
