Well, I'll give him one thing, he is the first news "anchor" who has whipped out his framed diploma live, on the air.
A great moment in broadcast journalism!
Will Vendettamann resume his attacks on Bill O'Reilly and the It Happened To Alexa Foundation? He'd better not.
Moron and Chief the dumbest President ever Barak Obama bascially told our best ally stick it. So much for "improving" relation's with other countries. Moron Obama gives them 25 crapy dvd's that they can't even use. His ugly wife tells Britian to take the bust of their greatest leader and stick it. Hitlery Clinton gives the Russians a gag gift that isn't spelled right. I knew Obamanation would be a bad president but not this bad. As if I need to say it, how many "spechul komments" would be penned if GW had made these huge blunders?
According to the previews, it looks like Fox News is taking the Triple Crown of WPitW tonight (Ailes, Murdoch, and O'Reilly, it looks like).

Mike I would be surprised if he doesn't.
Well he made a misquote at the end of the Huffington interview. He should've para-phrased "Lloyd Benson" he was the one who did the "I know Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine, you're no Jack Kennedy." I guess he didn't learn that while at CORNell University. Time to hand over the diploma KO. You've been OWNED.
I expect it from Olberfairness, but to see Dem congresscritter Wasserman-Shultz agree with Jimmy Legs that W halted "all stem cell research" and that untold numbers of people may have died as a result of that "soulless" decision was disappointing. What W outlawed was specifically FEDERAL funding of EMBRYONIC stem cell research. Even if it's true that destroying human embryos to get the stem cells inside to do research on is the best hope for curing diseases, nothing was stopping anybody from using private monies for that.
It's unacceptable journalism when he just gets facts wrong, either on purpose or because he's lazy and believes what others tell him.
Also, he just had a nice hypocritical moment during Worsts when, during #2, he called Harris Faulkner of FoxNews a "News Model", then complained about her reading a blog comment comparing Obama to a monkey, Racism is bad but sexism is ok, Keith? Oh wait, racism is only bad if other people are doing it right, Chicken and Waffles?
Somebody pass the guacamole...
California alone budgeted $3 billion (with a b!) for embryonic stem cell research.

Sorry Factor, your use of the terms "Moron and Chief"( probably meant 'moron IN chief'), "..the dumbest President ever Barak Obama", " ...his ugly wife.." , and "Hitlery" reads like garbage. I, for one, am used to a higher discourse at OlbermannWatch. This site has commenters with a variety of views and political leanings . Still, we tolerate each other with mostly respectful language. Let's face it, even the most ardent Republican wouldn't consider Obama the "dumbest president ever". If you think his wife is ugly, spare me your opinion. In other words, if you can't keep it a bit more grown-up, please disappear again as soon as possible. There are hundreds of anti-Obama Administration sites. Lot's of hardcore rightwing sites, White Supremist sites, whatever turns you on. This is OlbermannWatch.
Don't Eat Possums!
Agreed, ObserverDan. I for one try not to use any opponent-given nickname on any side (i.e. Fixed Noise, Olberdouche, Olberwoman, Boss Limbaugh, etc.)
And I meant that as an example of my civility in discussion. Not necessarily as a poor follow up to what ObserverDan said.
I know we are all aware that Olby likes to play the role of ostrich and bury his head in the sand when it comes to Obama gaffes but more than anything I thought Ostrichmann wanted a POTUS that restored the US credibility and respect in the world. He argued an sophisticated democrat would be a welcomed alternative to the dumb Texas hillbilly. As is the case with many (not all) of Obamas policies thus far, the foreign affairs are not panning out as promised. The reasons, however, are largely overlooked by the MSM- For all the attention Obama gives to the details of his "appearance" when giving policy and campaign speeches, he doesn't give a rip about the formalities and SOPs of being President. If these gaffes are not an indication of his arrogance, as any little screw up was w/ Bush, then what are they? I guess we can't expect Ostrichmann to give us a straight answer when he buries his head and refuses to see the problems.
stevenrw, understood. However, disparraging nicknames used by Olbermann for his opponents (fat ass, monkey, pimp, etc. come to mind) are perfectly appropriate to be used back at him. Funny too!
I make a motion that 'douchenozzle" be an accepted and permiited nickname for use on Olbywatch.
Do I hear a second?
It's spelled Bentsen.
And you were right, Steven.
In #2, the Media Matters Minute, Worse was Another O'Reilly Attack. Thankfully, Vendettamann did not go after him for speaking at the Alexa Foundation fundraiser next Thursday. Instead, blue blog source: Media Matters. http://mediamatters.org/countyfair/200903060035

Rip 'n Read did not mention that Mr. Bill was talking to far-left attorney John Flannery, who tried repeatedly to filibuster and interview hijack so he could talk about the firing of the U.S. Attorneys. Remember, Keith? Good times. By the way, Ann Coulter was the other guest. Back on OlbyPlanet, Jane Fonda Olbermann spun the opposite way...by bringing up Afghanistan. Billy! [Ding!]
Fat Ass gave Roger Ailes the Worser nod. I couldn't find a blue blog source for this, but it was about FNC having the audacity (I'm being sarcastic) to read comments from blogs on FOXNews.com. In the process, Misogynist Oralmann called Harris Faulkner a "news model." Then, he did a lousy impression of her. Wait. I see what it's about now. One commenter said "Hitler would have loved it" and another said "Remember if you give a monkey a keyboard he will eventually type a word correctly." Hitler. Monkey. I think I know where Rev. Herr Olbermahn is going with this. He thought Harris's response of "Ouch Dan" to the second commenter was ill-placed because of the H and M words.
Worst was Rupert Murdoch. Blue blog source: MSNBC.com! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29548971/
Keith, of the much younger girlfriend who was handed a reporter job at PIX 11 News despite little experience, stuck up for the Other Wolff Man, Michael Wolff, the guy that allegedly had an affair with a much younger woman. That says it all, doesn't it?
As for the rest of the show:
Keith did the show from the land of Super Bowl XLIII, Tampa.
#5A: Video title: "Republicans want a do-nothing president." The Wolffe, an Hour of Spin Iron Horse, simpered and said other things.
#5B: Keithy blames our current economic situation on deregulation. Yeah, that's the ticket.
#4: The stem cell ban is gone! Yeah, boy! Suck it, Republicans! Far-left Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) celebrated the ban lifting with Monkeymann. You know what that means: it's Another Blue Dress Interview. Time to update The List.
Oddball: Toilet humor. Tee-hee.
BPitW: A guy with a leg cast made out of cocaine. Also, the baseball card collector took a shot at Brian Cashman.
#3: Video title: "Meet the Newt boss?" De-facto! [Ding!] (I didn't watch, but it was in the description.) Arianna Huffington joined in the bashing.
Always Bushed: Who cares?
#2: See above.
#1: SNL made fun of RNC Chairman Michael Steele and the GOP! Yay! Roll the tape!
Non-barking dog: SNL also parodied Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner in the cold open. http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/geithner-cold-open/1056121/
Works for me ramjet! Look up 'dochenozzle' in the dictionary and there's Keith's pic.
Keith, being the 'newsman' that he is, introduced a segment about Sen. John Mccain by using the word 'crap'. Certainly, that's appropriate impartiality by a 'newshour' host, isn't it? Friggen douchenozzle.
I understand (and yeah, some of them are funny), but I refrain from doing it myself (on both sides).
Thanks for the 9:32 comment, Dan. I couldn't agree more. I probably got the ball rolling by putting an end to "-tard" names on here a week or two ago.
I mean I called for people to stop that. I've never done it. I take piano lessons and I always get a little edgy when I see a "rit**dando."
I understand (and yeah, some of them are funny), but I refrain from doing it myself (on both sides).
Sorry for the delayed double post. I did not think it was originally published the 1st time (I got a "this page can't be displayed message").
Well I think a little humorous disrespect is ok now and then regardless of who or whom it is. When it gets personal and somewhat vitriolic as it does on occasion here I do agree that is crossing the line. The man's wife should be out of bounds. On the other hand he is just the President. Nobody elected him either God or the King. So it is ok to have a bit of fun. Back in 1968 we had a little homemade officer's club at a place called Camp Enari just outside Pleiku City. After Tricky Dick took over as Commander in Chief a photograph of him went up. It was one of those where he was doing the famous two-handed victory sign. Underneath the picture it read, "Would you buy a used car from this man?". He was neither God nor King either.
I actually laughed at douche-nozzel, never heard that varitation before and didn't expect to hear any variation of douche during a "news hour". I can see Walter C. or Edward M. pulling the douche card.
As for Harris Faulkner- does anyone think Olby is aware that she is an african-american? I honestly don't think he does. Only by Olby-logic definition of racism- which has essentially removed all meaning used only as a loaded term to attack someone- how would Ms Faulkner show that she hold the belief of superiority in her race reading something degrading her race?
Look, I'm being a little facious here so nobody flip out or anything but Olbermanns use of "racism" just pisses me off. If something is racist, by all means point it out but using the term racist to describe everything FOX - Republican is so tiresome- ya know?
I make a motion that 'douchenozzle" be an accepted and permiited nickname for use on Olbywatch...ramjet
I like it but I think ape ruler (or Dr. Zaius, but not everyone would know who that is) is more appropriate considering his followers who all remind me of The Planet of the Apes.
Every time I see and hear anything coming out of his mouth while he does his dumb and assinine squeaky voices the image of the ape ruler comes to mind along with the picture of his followers grunting and jumping up and down after Charlton Heston screams "it's a madhouse! A madhouse!"
Ape ruler gets my vote.
I forgot to acknowledge that Gregg Berger Olbermann used the supposed Ted Baxter voice while quoting the MM video. Context is everything, but never on OlbyPlanet. FOXNews.com has a transcript of the segment that Rip 'n Read 'n Also Smear cherry-picked. Here it is:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,507385,00.html
"...You don't favor these witch hunts do you, counselor?
JOHN FLANNERY, FORMER FEDERAL PROSECUTOR: I don't favor witch hunts, and I don't think this is a witch hunt. I think that what it is, it's more like the far right on defense, desperate defense than it is the march to socialism that you say. I applaud the Bush administration and Karl Rove for agreeing to finish up this old business of whether or not there was corruption in the Justice Department by allowing Karl Rove to talk…
O'REILLY: All right, but that's a different issue. I'm not talking about that issue now. We'll deal with that down the road.
FLANNERY: Well, OK.
O'REILLY: Look, by all accounts, the Bush administration defeated Al Qaeda, all right? Al Qaeda was marginalized, been downgraded as a threat to the world. So we won the terror war. We won the war in Iraq, at great cost no doubt. No doubt. But we won.
So now these idiots want to go back and they want to find something, fish, throw that line out there, reel in anything they can reel in to embarrass the administration that kept us safe, you safe, your family safe. And it's despicable. And you can't say it's the far right. Most Americans oppose. Only 40 percent of Americans want any kind of this criminal witch hunt business. Sixty percent do not. Come on."
The segment continued from there, but you get the picture.
2 days in a row and no mention of the economy...just Rush, BOR and STILL BUSSSHHHHED (give it up KO, are you still gonna be talking about Bush 2 years from now????)
Can you say smoke screen???? Divert everyone's attention away from the economy and how the stock market has lost over 1500 points since the Messiah took office. Can't these people see that Wall Street has absolutely no faith in the President and his policies???
10th Cav,
Nixon won the election in '68, became CiC Jan '69. Were you at Camp Enari in Jan-Feb '68 for the festivities?
irush,
Folks are getting fed up with idiots hurling the racist smear.
I should have added a [Ding!] when Flannery said "far right [Ding!]." There, I added it now.
For some reason this was double posted at the wrong thread. Gotta be a hardware problem:-)

Unfriggin' believable!!!
"There's no telling if Christopher Reeve could have been saved by stem cell research. He died just 3 years and 2 months after George Bush stopped American stem cell research dead in its tracks."LowestBloKO
Aaaaasaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!
I really was surprised (as was already pointed out) that "The Lie-On King" told the unbelievable whopper that stem cell research stopped when Bush banned federal funding for it. I'm not even sure that he qualified it as "stopped in the US". I think it said just "stopped".
Is *that* what happened in #4? Pathetic.
Let's be honest here since you brought it up. It is true that nearly everyone on this site shares their opinions and usually doesn't take the low road in insults thrown towards the president and others, but let's face it there isn't a lib site around where they don't throw insults and degrade conservatives on nearly EVERY post. I've seen them, and like grammie said you can't get any lower than these outhouses, so let's not get all "huffy" when ONE commentor voices his opinion in that way.
Jesus, even on this site we have heard more deragatory things said about our ex-president than what Factor said above, and I didn't see anybody get all bent out of shape over it.
Stupid, asshole, criminal, you name it and it was said on THIS site about Bush, so why the indignation over an obvious conservative who simply doesn't like the president? And about his wife, maybe Factor still has her words ringing in his ears "the first time I was ever proud of my country" and he went overboard about her looks. I personally think she's fine, and the president isn't dumb but that's just my opinion.
Let's not make this site into what the libs like to use all the time about "right wingers" whose only purpose in life is to stifle free speech.
Communists we are not, but man if any of us have to think twice before we post, then I think it's time to start questioning what free speech really means to the ones who are so outraged at it.
Vulgarity will unfortunately spill out from time to time and disturbing images of politicians to boot, but to hear how "outrageous" and "disgusting" it is and that it must stop because someone is "offended" by it makes me laugh.
This is an opinion site for Christ's sake, and nobody has the right to tell anyone what they should and should not say. Everybody on here has said something I have shook my head at at least once, but that's the nature of humans.
I mean "phony soldier" was one thing, and I could relate to people getting upset with his terms, although his points were well taken, but let's not have a baby everytime someone goes over the line once in a while.
Hard core is not what this site is about, and the Factor hardly ever acts like one either.
Jesus, I used the lords name in vain will I now be reprimanded? Come on people relax and jump on my suggestion for olbermann's new name "ape ruler."
I enjoy stopping by and perusing ALL comments posted by you good folks. Weigh the good (there is much), the bad (there is some, maybe even my own posts), and the ugly/lame-brained/mindless (rare but it exists).
At times there is knowledge to be drawn from even the most unpolished, ugly descriptions. Pro or Con.
An overly SENSITIVE nature can lead to physical and mental disruption as well as mouth-breathing, the ruination of a DAMN FINE forum and ultimately, the posters seeming like the POSTEE.
Just an observation....nothing more or less.
Congrats to Bill O: Friday's ratings were terrific; essentially 3 and one- half to 1 against KO.

Yeah, I know, I'm a nouchedoozle.
Wolverine, thank you for investing in such a huge post to make your point. You laugh at the fact that i was offended. Message received.
No mention of Warren Buffet souring on Obama? When the richest (or one of the top 5) who SUPPORTED Obama says the President isn't doing a good job I'd kind of think that is newsworthy. I guess to Olberleech, not.
Wonder if he yucked it up with Huffington off the air how the taxpayers of NY paid for is (poison ) ivy degree?

I didn't mean to sound like such a hardass or (oops!) an a-hole, but I think we can all rest assured that nobody on this site, including Factor, really comes down too cross with their views.
And, as far as going on for so long, I'm just not as articulate as some of the posters on here who are able to get their point across with much less verbiage. Seriously, I wish I could, but the passion in me takes over sometimes. Must be the Italian heritage or something.
Every time I set out to make it short and quick, I just keep on going. See! I'm doing it again!
And ramjet, you DO make me laugh!

I'm sorry about my comment earlier on in this thread. Turns out KO did say Bensen, I guess I just heard it go by so fast, I dind't catch it. me bad.

How is there going to be any substantive and logical exchange with people who believe such nonsense?
The radical left believes there have been no advances in stem cell based therapies for the past eight years. Nonsense.
The radical left believes that the advances made with adult stem cells will not be at least as beneficial or perhaps even better than those based on embryonic stem cells. Nonsense.
The radical left believes that the federal government is the only reservoir of resources to propel medical advances. Nonsense.
The radical left believes that nascent human life deserves no protection. That conclusion is a matter of conscience and their intolerance of views different from their own shows their ignorance, bigotry and arrogance. I am happy to debate such a belief, but it seems those that oppose my point of view would rather deal in demogoguery and lies.
Keith Olbermann allows frank nonsense on his "news show." This is the voice of the left, the church of SNOBamessiah who are fighting against the bitter God clingers.
VERO POSSUMUS!
cee,
Well said. Driving me to the edge of the abyss was the blatant lie, "...George Bush stopped American stem cell research dead in its tracks."
What pushed me over the edge was lowestbloko sanctimoniously linking his blantant lie about Bush to the death of Chris Reeve or any other poor soul.
BTW, I must have missed the segment with the voice of the left, Frank Nonsense. Is he the left's answer to Rush?
It was a WPitW reference, liontooth. After Homer had Kent Brockman interview him and complain about Ned Flanders, Kent named Ned the "Worst Person Who Ever Lived" without getting his side of the story. Click on the link, though. You'll like it. But if it freezes up Internet Explorer, try the link again in Mozilla Firefox, as I said last night.

Just a thought:
Letter from the Boss,
As the CEO of this business that employs 140 people, I have accepted the fact that Barack Obama is our new President, and that taxes and government fees will now increase in a BIG way.
To compensate for this additional overhead, I figure our clients will have to see an increase in our fees of about 8% but since we cannot raise those prices right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off several of our employees instead. This unfortunate economic reality has been eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who will have to go.
After giving it considerable thought, this is what I did: I strolled thru our parking lot and found 11 Obama bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They wanted change; I gave it to them.
If you have a better idea, let me know.

You're welcome, Liontooth. By the way, in naming Ned the WPWEL, a picture of him was morphed into a devil version of him wearing a Detroit Lions t-shirt.
From the MSNBC.com transcript, here is the Worst part of WPitW:
"But our winner, the font of all this evil, Rupert Murdoch. Michael Wolff, a “Vanity Fair” writer, and author of the seminal [that means Oralmann likes it] book on Murdoch, “The Man Who Owns the News,” was on this show and elsewhere lending his expertise in what he described as a fracture between Mr. Murdoch and his New York rag, in the wake of their printing of the racially tinged Chimpanzee cartoon. Wolf suggested paper‘s editor Cole Allen was the sole reason that cartoon was printed, that Allen could lose his job over this, and that Murdoch was furious.
The Post has since responded by printing several rumor based stories with no proof about Mr. Wolff's private life, and by calling him bald and trout lipped. They had never previously mentioned Wolff in their gossip section. When the government established the rule denying a company the right to own multiple TV stations and newspapers in one city in this country, this is exactly what it was endeavoring to prevent, using one guy's newspaper to avenge criticism of the same guy's TV network, or vice versa. So keep it up, Rup, keep giving them reasons to revoke that waiver.
Rupert Murdoch, arrgh, today's worst person in the world!"
Also, unfortunately, in #1, Olby is happy that "The Simpsons" mocked him.
"OLBERMANN: While SNL did its job channeling the week's partisan rancor, attentive viewers of “The Simpsons” might have caught a subtle channeling of this program last night.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
[KENT BROCKMAN]: Who is responsible for these outrages? The man whose side of the story we didn't even bother to get, Ned Flanders, the worst person who ever lived!
[NED FLANDERS]: Let's see what else is on.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
OLBERMANN: I for one welcome our new Simpsons overlords."
They love you, too, Keith. Get a room, you two.
Keith just loves "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy". Any reference to him by either will be warmly embraced. The Ironic thing, however, and it makes Keith look like the douchebag he is, is that both beloved programs are the product of FOX and his arch-nemisis Rupert Murdoch. In other words, Olby is happy to drink from Murdoch's trough when it suits him.
Friday - Countdown w/Keith Olbermann –1,081,000
Just ending up slightly north of the mill line for Friday.
I see Mr. G.E.D. hitting 9's real soon.
"OLBERMANN: '.....attentive viewers of THE SIMPSONS might have caught a subtle channeling of this program last night.'"
###
It was neither subtle, as Olbermann suggests, or complementary to him.
When I saw Ned Flanders as Kent Brockman's WPITW I laughed because he was like all of Keith Olbermann's WPITW.....he was not deserving of the designation. The poor guy was even made out to be a devil with horns wearing a DETROIT LIONS tee. It made for good parody.
Such is the current absurdity that has become the REAL currency of NBC NEWS's COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN....lies, exaggerations, bias, religious hatred, intolerance and hypocrisy.
Add on Keith Olbermann's personal insecurities and the serious viewers of the program should examine their reasons for watching such a train wreck.
Keith Olbermann proves how much of an idiot he is with that comedy roundup last night.
There were three SNL political sketches on Saturday ... a cold open that depicted Tim Geithner as a scared hulk of a treasury secretary begging for people to call in with plans to save the economy; a hulk parody in which an angry Barack turns into The Rock Obama, and the Weekend Update with Michael Steele being controlled by Rush Limbaugh.
But Keith begins his montage with "First up, The Rock Obama sketch" (paraphrasing), then he calls the trio of Republicans portrayed in the sketch the partisans, and moves on to the Michael Steele bit.
He completely whitewashed the cold open about Geithner. As if it never happened.
It's amazing how someone who makes fun of Fox for claiming to be Fair and Balanced counters by going so far out of his way to not be.
Then he shows the entire Simpsons clip, his Eric Cartmen-esque ego deluding himself into thinking the mere mention was flattery. Watch the clip. Brockman (the Olbermann stand-in) is practicing biased journalism of the highest order, blatantly declaring he has no intention of getting both sides of the story before declaring Ned Flanders to be evil.
You see, the nature of the dispute is that the Simpsons over-mortgaged their house and had to sell it because they could no longer afford the monthly payments. Flanders bought it at auction and offered the Simpsons the house for cheap rent. Not only did they not pay, but being their landlord they demanded Flanders come over at ungodly hours to fix damage to the house that they themselves caused from years of living there. An understandably upset Flanders threatened to kick them out, and Homer called the media.
So here we have Olbermann applauding, I guess, the demonization of the generous landlord who bailed out the deadbeat homeowner and expected some responsibility in return.
But Flanders, being the depiction of the ultimate do-gooder Christian, is worthy of such contempt in Olbermann's eyes. Even after Flanders, after being so wronged by the Simpsons, realizes his great love for them, and gives them the house back.
Therefore, I can only conclude that Olbermann's derangement has transformed what was a slam on him into a worthy attack on the responsible Americans who provide the backbone of our economy and even prop up those who can't cut it.
Or maybe I'm just reading to much into a funny joke.
Also worth mentioning is Olby slammed Rush for not being a good DJ because he got fired.
Gee, who was such a shitty news man he got fired from Fox? Oh yeah. Keith Olbermann. MSNBC, picking up Fox's discarded scraps for 10 years and counting.
Did Keith make any mention of Wikipedia editing Barack Obama's entry page to omit any negative connotations from the campaign, such as Wright or Ayers? or that Users who added this info were suspended for three days?
Seems like Wikipedia and Olby are pals, after editors declared his educational listing of Cornell University on the KO entry page was sufficient because there was no need to get into the issue of specific colleges.
>MSNBC, picking up Fox's discarded scraps for 10 years and counting.
Slippery Pimped Out Shuster is another example of that.
