Stuart Varney brought up that "that on-air host" didn't say anything. The reason is whomever edited that tape went around Baggermann's sycophantic "mm-hmm," "yeah," and "that's right." These are the lengths that "The Factor" will go to scrub any direct mention of Keithy. That includes Varney referring to him as "that on-air host."
Thank you to Stuart, Tobin Smith, and BOR.
By the way, I have a bad feeling that when Bathtub Boy returns to work, Tom Brokaw will come on to reply to Bill's "not courageous enough" slight. Great Thanks.
Didn't Brokaw have to correct Jimmy Legs way back during the campaign that Keith was being unfair when they were both on during some debate or convention coverage? I'd be surprised if Brokaw wanted to get anywhere near Garofalo's shockingly stupid comments. And maybe, just maybe, Keith wants this one to fade away, instead of "any publicity is good publicity" in his ever-present quest to equal one-half of Bill O'Reilly's viewing audience.
I just want one liberal, one person on the left to say that they were outraged with the MSNBC usage of "teabagging". JUST ONE! Is that too much to ask?
Mike you can bet the farm Brokaw won't be showing up to pull Keith's ass out of the fire on this one.
He laid down with a dog and he got fleas.
As long as Immelt & Zucker are still there, nothing will happen to Keith, Mandow, Matthews. They are the Obama cheerleaders and NBC News is run by the Obama Administration.
O'Reilly cracks me up....in a good way. He knows it tweaks Olbermann's HUGE ego that he does not say his name. O'Reilly has created a humorous contrast to Olbermann's obsession that has resulted in the speaking of O'Reilly's name on COUNTDOWN, including all of the silly adolescent-inspired inventions, 4 times 10 to the 3 power.
Olbermann may overlook this FACTOR segment out of a tiny thread of shame over what he allowed (and it appears he agreed with the ideas) to be said in in interview he was conducting. NO ONE (except Olbermann) has agreed with Garofalo's hate speech and NO ONE else has gone as far as to paint the entire tea party movement as racist. Olbermann will simply show his hate again if he touches the O'Reilly segment above.

I just want one liberal, one person on the left to say that they were outraged with the MSNBC usage of "teabagging". JUST ONE! Is that too much to ask?
I was outraged with MSNBC over their constant usage of the word "teabagging" to describe the protests. And I'm a liberal, for those that did not know.
And wow....I can't believe that O'Reilly actually played a Countdown clip. I mean, he had every right to, what Garafalo said was insanely stupid, idiotic, and untrue to the nth degree. I mean frankly, I'd be surprised if our good friend MikeH agrees with her sentiment but that's another story. I just mean with the lengths that O'Reilly has been known to go to avoid mentioning Olbermann on the air, and to play an albeit edited Countdown clip with Keith's agreements of "mm-mmm" and "yeah, right" edited out, was actually quite surprising.
I am curious if Keith will touch this when he returns (or if he returns.....seeing as we all know his habits at MSNBC). There's still that Countdown fan in me that says there is no way he'd be idiotic enough to touch or attack O'Reilly for his attack, but at the same time, Keith has always gone to great lengths to defend Jeff Immelt.
I go back to Michael Moore's idiotic comments on Countdown during the RNC and the hurricane struck and Moore said something along the lines of "thank goodness there's a hurricane so that it can postpone the convention". Keith just pretty much nodded in agreement and did not say anything and refused to touch that comment and everyone who blasted him for it (although shockingly, if I recall correctly, Moore has since been invited back to the show). That's his way of dismissing guests when they make stupid statements. It's like the guy has absolutely no courage to challenge absolutely atrocious statements such as that. And he does not even have to do it violently. Just a simple, "what makes you think the protests were racists?" (or in MSNBC terms, "what about the teabaggers makes them racists?") or "why do you think as such?" It can be subtle as such if Keith has an immense fear of debating guests on his show.
I'm curious to see what happens tonight, although off of the strength of that attack, I would expect Shuster to fill in again. And besides, I'm sure there's a baseball game somewhere that Keith would much rather be at, seeing as that as clearly taken precedent over Countdown.
Many say it's not a feud because BillO doesn't mention Olby by name.
I disagree. "He Who's Name Will Not Be Spoken" is a tactic, and sometimes it just doesn't work. It was disapointing when O'Reilly played the Countdown clip sans Olbys voice and his wholehearted agreement with Garafalo. You can bet Olbermann thinks of this as a big win, especially with no criticism from the pundits and elected officials on the left. The right gets blasted for it's reluctance to criticize Rush Limbaugh. We are seeing the same thing on left for 'performance artist' Keith Olbermann.
So will Fineman have to come on tonight and retract his assertions that Obama us unBush-like because he doesn't "punt" important decisions off on the atty gen?
Shuster is on twitter saying Olbermann is ill....I think that means another night of teabagger Robin spewing third rate propaganda on the hour of (SNOBamessiah) power.
Another quality night of programming and stellar ratings on MSNBC.
Steven, thank you for your honesty. I'll go off on a limb and say that there are many liberals who while they disagree with the tea parties (and they have every right to), they also disagree with the use of the word 'teaba%%ing'.
I know we talk a lot of trash about liberals here but I hope that people understand that it's not all of them. Conservatives have their problem children too.
On the subject of the video at the top of the thread, the following viewer e-mails were read tonight on "The O'Reilly Factor":
Eileen Pileggi, Chester, NY: "Because of GE's policies, I will not buy their appliances any longer. Immelt's behavior is outrageous."
Sel Graham, Austin, TX: "After hearing MSNBC brand me as a racist, this World War II vet would like to ask Tom Brokaw if I am still one of the 'Greatest Generation?'"
Bill's response: "You know, Mr. Graham, I'd like to hear Mr. Brokaw address your excellent question."
Allen Crary, Broken Arrow, OK: "After watching the Garofalo clip on NBC News branding tea party protesters as racists, this repairman will not work on GE machines."
Karen Donnelly, Louisa, VA: "It took me a while, but I am totally done with NBC."
Drake Hammond, Aurora, CO: "I am 13 and attended the tea party in Denver. Unfortunately, our local NBC station did not report the event accurately."
To paraphrase Rick Santelli, who probably won't be at CNBC much longer the way things are going: Mr. Olbermann and Ms. Garofalo, are you listening?!
Correction , I guess. The offensive post above was credited to CountDung early in this thread. Because I saw no such 'song parody', I assumed it had been posted and extracted by the monitor. I now see that the 'parody' was culled from a link. CountDung, thank you for posting it in link form. It should have stayed that way.

Yo Dan! I had no idea you were a brother. Rat own man! Can't let whitey get away with that racial stuff. Way to stick it to 'em bro! The man can't hold you down! 40 acres and a mule baby!
..."it's never been seen before in broadcast history."...Amen.
The adults in the room have finally spoken up.
This will be interesting when 'Orange Boy' finally shows up.
This is the first time I can remember O'Reilly playing a 'Countdown' clip. How will Keith spin this into an attack on O'Reilly? (you know he will)
And let's just start calling NBC News for what it is, A Government Run Channel.
Are there any stockholders left that will speak out against this?
Question: When O'Reilly went on his victory lap for being number one for 100 months. Did he show up on any NBC shows? I don't think so.

Ratings prove they're Nielsen dead

I guess Obama heard Olby's special comment and has changed his position. It helps when GE has a White House advisor:
