This is the recappers' comment thread for The Hour of Spin. It falls on you--the clear-thinking readers of Olbermann Watch--to document Keith Oralmann's diseased rantings for posterity. Comments are open!
Unfortunately "Robin" is on again tonight. And it appears he got his orders from Fat "Batman" from the opening part.
Leave a comment about the maniac Olbermann on this great website, and then visit this one:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/fire-keith-olbermann
and leave a comment there!
It's all in FUN!
They sure have that word, "Tea Bagging" down pat over there. It's freakin "Tea Party" you left wing idiots! I think Shuster needs to be locked up and have himself "Teabagged" by Joe the convict.
Schuster knows he is about ready to pushed onto the employment line anyday thus he knows that the more left he seems the better chance the pink slip wont be showen up
Okay, first, what was that on Robin's LIP? Spit? Food? Good God, no wonder they had to go BACK to the "still idea-less" segment so he could wipe his mouth.
Second, Meerkatpooh, you're exactly right... Is there not a thing that can be done in regards to raising any type of hell with sponsors? I mean we get the point... But they keep drilling it home, and obviously won't stop for at least the next two or three days.
Finally, Gloria, you're more than likely not involved with the petition but please understand it doesn't have a chance of doing anything or going anywhere... First its clear, you have to go after a shows sponsors to get any traction... And secondly, as much as I agree with what it says, it should be worded more professionally and made not to be so personal but to illustrate the many and continuing insults, lies, distortions, and vendetta's this "man" lobs nightly using his bully pulpit for only that, bullying.
I find it amazing that after spending TWO years as US Seantor he runs for the next years for Pres and not a WORD from Schuster and the left..and now Palin wants to take a trip to the lower 48 and wowo how can she do that! Such hypocrracy! what new about that not think
I agree, KOlby. GS, can you please stop urging us to comment to that site? You seem to promote the petition every chance you get in every OlbyWatch comment thread. If it's your petition, good luck with it, but most of us are not interested. Thank you.
As for the Tea B* meme, I guess we can start throwing the [Ding!] around for that.
When'T-Bag' gets 'P-Slipped' I doubt CNN or HLN will be picking him up so he will end up somewhere in the Sam Sedar nut-wing section of AAR.
By KOlby on April 13, 2009 8:53 PM
Okay, first, what was that on Robin's LIP? Spit? Food?
You were close with spit. 'T-Bag' got excited when he read meerkatpooh's 'Joe the Convict' comment during the break.
I really can't stand schusters strange facial ticks realy strange..and distracting. Not that he had anything to say worth remembering.
You think Shuster reads OlbyWatch, Puck?
Some of tonight's viewer e-mail on "The O'Reilly Factor" had to do with [Vendettamann, Screw 'Em, etc.] blaming independent O'Reilly, libertarian Glenn Beck and conservative commentators for random acts of violence, which was discussed in Thursday's At Your Beck & Call segment.
Sandy Glover, Anchorage, AK: "So, let me see if I have this straight. Elements at CNN and NBC say that O'Reilly and Glenn Beck are to blame for violence because they analyze the state of the union. Yet, the far left bears no responsibility for all the hatred they put out there during the Bush administration. I guess it just works one way."
Bill's response: "But it really doesn't work it all, Sandy. The big picture is this: the left media is getting hammered. They're losing millions. The Fox News Channel is very successful even in the face of a wicked recession. (That wasn't an insult. He meant really bad.) Desperate people do desperate things, and that's what you're seeing in the far-left media."
Jason Tardo, Highlands, NC: "I enjoy Beck on The Factor. The good-hearted digs are funny and it is a sad commentary that the other networks have to attack you."
Pat Botts, Fort Valley, VA: "Bill, my sister who lives in Pennsylvania informed me today that Fox News and Charlton Heston are responsible for the police killings in Pittsburgh. I had to go outside to calm down!"
Bill's response: "You did the right thing, Pat. Can't choose your family. If it were someone else, I'd say 'sayonara' to them, but you have to love your sister. Try to use some humor and gently guide her...into rationality. But it may not work."
Comments?
I just thought of something. Do you think that if Keith were on tonight, he would take advantage of two more deaths to say the deceased knew him personally and liked "Countdown"? I'm speaking of Harry Kalas and Mark Fidrych.
He will get them in somehow. There is no way he is going to let the Bird pass to the hereafter without taking advantage of it. It will be another low point. Fidrych was one of those characters who define their sport and KO will despoil his memory.
Don't forget Marlyn Chambers died today too.
It's funny watching Shuster try to be cool and snarky. Poor bastard just can't pull it off. He spews the word teabag from his ghastly rictus over and over as if he just caught on to the joke 5 minutes ago. Then he chortles like a clown making fun of the name "Dick ...Armey".
Maddow brought back Anna Marie Cox (let's make fun of her name) for another 'teabagging' segment. Does the funnyness never stop?
I totally get it now! Teabagging? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA it's like talking to a third grader.
That guy fainting on the Glenn Beck Program will is pure fodder for Olbermann upon his return. I hope the guys ok.
Where you at MikeHypocrite? I asked you a real question and now you're hiding? Typical. There's a word for that but right now it escapes me.
Shh, CJ.
Shuster and his funny teabag
His stupidity will make me gag
Sophomoric and lame
Fifteen minutes of fame
Shuster's next stop: Hotel Fleabag
All right Mike C., you're the boss.
Good rhyme Turic
Priceless, Katy!
As always. I don't how you can maintain such a very high standard day in and day out.
Have you thought of publishing them is a slender volume? :)
Sorry, CJ. I just don't want a nonstop fight from a guy that is just here to mock us as far-right [Ding!] kooks. But it isn't my site. So, I won't stand in your way or anyone else's way.
Pat Botts, Fort Valley, VA:
Okay Pat, I'll say it. You're sister is a wack job if she wants to hang with this group.
Remember when we had a go around with Dopey and his girlfriend what's her name and the supposed ambush a week or two ago??
Yeah Dopey was all bent out of shape but remember this?
From Winki:
"In the 2002 documentary film Bowling for Columbine, Michael Moore interviewed Heston in his home, asking him about an April 1999 NRA meeting held shortly after the Columbine high school massacre, in Denver, Colorado. Moore criticized Heston for the perceived thoughtlessness in the timing and location of the meeting. Heston, on-camera, excused himself and walked out. Moore was later criticized for his perceived ambush."
But not by Olby! Michael Moore? good friend of 'Countdown'.
And Pat, while we are at it, this from the ever kind George Clooney: (also from Winki)
"Actor George Clooney joked about Heston's failing health at a 2003 National Board of Review award ceremony, saying that Heston "announced again today that he is suffering from Alzheimer's." When questioned, Clooney said Heston deserved whatever was said about him for his involvement with the NRA. Heston responded by saying Clooney lacked class, and said he felt sorry for Clooney, as Clooney had as much of a chance of developing Alzheimer's as anyone else."
Add to that, Heston has been dead for about a year. But as we all know how the 'fringe element' just love to USE dead people to advance their agenda.
What a class bunch eh?
By Mike C. on April 14, 2009 12:06 AM
Don't let MikeH of all people rain on you man.
The guy is like an incoherent drunk that comes wandering into the bar (because he just got thrown out of the one up the street).
He spews crap, everybody in the bar knows who he is, what he is. We give him crap back and he leaves, and everybody goes back to having a good time at the bar.
He's the entertainment part of this place. (Since AAP got tossed)
What's he here for, one post? Two posts? And then he's gone, back on his short-bus to Wackjobville NJ.
My old boss had a saying for people like him when I was in retail. He said, "Don't sweat the SMALL STUFF."
Does MSNBC think they are "cool" for using the term "teabagging" or what? They act like 3rd graders when they use the term like a funny inside joke that only they can understand. I saw Madcow use the term and when they cut back to him, he was smiling and giggling like a school boy. WTF? And they wonder why their ratings are in the tank.
Unfortunately, Brad, they do think they're cool for using that lewd term. Why don't they just say "Howard Stern" and "Baba Booey" while they're at it?
And I've heard that phrase before, Puck. I'll try my best not to sweat the small stuff.
The petition site:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/fire-keith-olbermann
has become a place to vent about MSNBC, Olbermann, Shuster, Matthews and Madd Cow.
The idiots at MSNBC are pure liberal leftist anti-American jerks.
The President of NBC News is Steve Capus, (steve.capus@nbc.com), and he is aware of the petition, as it has been emailed to him on a regular basis by an originator of the site.
NBC News used to be a fair journalistic news network. it has become a George Soros mouthpiece for the socialist left.
Hi KOlby
I agree with what you said about the petition site, and it's not nearly as professional as the OLBERMANN WATCH site, but it's a place for people like myself to vent against Olbermann and the rest of the MSNBC liberal idiots.
It could be called something else, but FIRE KEITH OLBERMANN sounded OK to comment on. I thought people who comment on this site would be interested in commenting on the other site. Probably wrong, but there may be some who would like to have their say, if that's OK with the rest of you folks who comment here. I see afotia1020 also recommended the petition site.
Anyhow, going after the sponsors is always the right way to go. It would be nice to be able to get the 550 plus people who have commented on the petiton site in front of those advertisers.
The radical left, and the current administration that shares their paranoia and fear of our fellow Americans (including our wonderful veterans), are entering new territories of smear and demogouery......
"DHS/I&A assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists—including lone wolves or small terrorist cells—to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today."

Yeppers....Olbermann's crazed rants are not confined to the puny audience of MSNBC....There is a cabinet member who is willing to put out the above with seemingly no evidence behind such clap-trap. The result...alienating such radicals as The American Legion.....
"On behalf of the 2.6 million-member American Legion, I am stating my concern about your April 7 report, 'Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence and Recruitment.'
First, I want to assure you that The American Legion has long shared your concern about white supremacist and anti-government groups. In 1923, when the Ku Klux Klan still yielded unspeakable influence in this country, The American Legion passed Resolution 407. It resolved, in part, '…we consider any individual, group of individuals or organizations, which creates, or fosters racial, religious or class strife among our people, or which takes into their own hands the enforcement of law, determination of guilt, or infliction of punishment, to be un-American, a menace to our liberties, and destructive to our fundamental law…'
"The best that I can say about your recent report is that it is incomplete. The report states, without any statistical evidence, 'The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.'
"The American Legion is well aware and horrified at the pain inflicted during the Oklahoma City bombing, but Timothy McVeigh was only one of more than 42 million veterans who have worn this nation’s uniform during wartime. To continue to use McVeigh as an example of the stereotypical 'disgruntled military veteran' is as unfair as using Osama bin Laden as the sole example of Islam.
"Your report states that 'Rightwing extremists were concerned during the 1990s with the perception that illegal immigrants were taking away American jobs through their willingness to work at significantly lower wages.' Secretary Napolitano, this is more than a perception to those who have lost their job. Would you categorize union members as 'Right Wing extremists'?
"In spite of this incomplete, and, I fear, politically-biased report, The American Legion and the Department of Homeland Security share many common and crucial interests, such as the Citizen Corps and disaster preparedness. Since you are a graduate of New Mexico Girls State, I trust that you are very familiar with The American Legion. I would be happy to meet with you at a time of mutual convenience to discuss issues such as border security and the war on terrorism. I think it is important for all of us to remember that Americans are not the enemy. The terrorists are."
Sincerely,
David K. Rehbein
National Commander
The American Legion

Will this be mentioned on the church of SNOBamessiah revival hour? Doubtful.
VERO POSSUMUS!
So where was 'The Orange One' Last night?
Picking up 'FREE' swag of course!
http://keitholbermann.mlblogs.com/archives/2009/04/that_new_ballpark_smell.html#comments
Now here's what struck me. It was 'Bailout Park's' opening night, so Keith snags some press passes and takes what looks like a crappy camera with him. He gets to go out on the field before the game, blah, blah, blah.
Ah, Olby Baby! No squeeze with you at this historic event? 'Chin-Hoe' dump you're ass already?
Where's Katy? Couldn't tear herself away from some big story over at PIX? Or did she have a "Salsa Lesson' she couldn't break?
Historic Night and you go 'Stag'?
Wait! Where was Musto? By the bat-rack? I heard some of the 'Mets' complain the pine-tar had a sh**y smell.
BTW, Keith? Not for a second, NOT FOR A SECOND! Do I believe nor do I put you on the same planet as Harry Kalas.
Every year 'The Phillies' have a little road show that goes around the Phila./ Allentown/Scranton (I'm sure others) area before spring training. Players. Coaches, and always in the mix was Harry.
Folks, I can say this. Harry was Harry. A 'Real Deal'. And I think anybody who ever met him can agree with me on this. He was one of the few people on this planet that was comfortable in being who he was. Harry was a Philadelphia icon. But he NEVER acted that way. He was like an old friend, a neighbor, greatly respected. And now sadly, greatly missed.
He was beloved by not just Phillie fans, but anyone he came in contact with. To listen to Harry and Richie Ashburn (and later Larry Anderson) doing Phillie games on the radio, it was what baseball was all about.
Olbermann? You don't belong on the same planet!
Oh, if it matters. This was written by an Atlanta Braves fan.
Is there any truth that when Harry Kalas announced that the Phillies had won the World Series, last October, KO muttered "RESIGN!"......hehe
Dear Lord. Keith and his peeps are just stuck on that "teabag" thing. Does he actually want people to take him seriously or what? Emotionally, I think Keith is about a preteen, maybe an early teen.
That being said, Fox News really is promoting these Tea Parties WAY too much for a fair and balanced station. I like the Tea Parties and will probably go to the one here in Richmond, VA tomorrow. But Fox has almost really been a sponsor.
Olbermann, however...*sigh* I can't say anything nice about him or not just call him a name so I will not say anything at all right now.
Wow Jimmy Legs got a hot tip somewhere: the domain name for the Atlanta tea protest website was registered in....New York! What a scandal! This proves that.....well, I don't know what it proves, but rest assured the full weight of NBC News and General Electric Corporation will be used track down those sinister characters who would dare to register a domain across state lines.
Poor Scott McClellen, he's to stupid to realize that he's only being used by these far-leftwing radicals. He's only a guest of Propaganda Countdown because he's not saying anything good about his former boss. Doesn't that dolt remember how Goebbels-Olbermann, and his ilk, treated him when he was Press Secretary? He must be a KO clone in that he wants to be liked by the "cool crowd."
Hey Scott, do you realize that you're gonna be tossed aside once people stop forgetting about President Bush? How sad must your life be? Your former co-workers probably hate you and, despite them being nice to you NOW, these leftys also hate you. Dummy!
Wait a minute.....did Keith just say that if you don't like a political figure that every move of his does not deserve criticism and that he can be complimented in some areas (he was criticizing Limbaugh in WPitW).
I smell an Olbypocrisy video coming....
Ha Ha Ha...Olberdork on Madcow talking baseball??? Also, it looked like KO borrowed Madcow's "these make me LOOK smart" glasses. What a tool.
Any O'Reilly, Beck, Fox, or News Corp attacks tonight?
Exclusive interview with Keith Olbermann.
http://tinyurl.com/dlzguj
Jeff Poor at NewsBusters has posted about the nonstop "Teab** [Ding!]" humor. The link is in the OlbyFlood. Unfortunately, the Flood is also linking to Think Propaganda/Team Turkel and Media Matters.
I do not recommend Factor's video. It's quite explicit. It makes "teab***ing [Ding!]" look like "Match Game" innuendo and double entendres.
Read that link to the DHS with great anger and sorrow. Our taxes are being raised, in part, so we can continue to fund a giant government agency which is pretty useless in its designated capacity. Know many airport screeners with an IQ above 50? We pay more than one moron a lot of money to put out this trash.
Are veterans disillusioned? No doubt. Have been from every war. General MacArthur had to attack them on the Washington Mall to chase them away after protests of broken promises early in the last century. Been that way in my view since WWII. Ever since; Korea, Vietnam, Gulf I and Gulf II were overcontrolled by the politicians. LBJ and Tricky Dick personally called the shots on targets, rules of engagement, etc. As did Truman in Korea. As did Bush I in Gulf I and Bush II in his little adventure. Now it even takes two signed memos from the CIC before we can pop a few pirates in the noodle. Meantime we can develop intel. trash like this on our own people.
On the other hand, throughout the lifetimes of these millions of disillusioned veterans, how many McVeys have we had? One by my count. So we will spend fortunes developing this kind of intel. on ourselves and in the meantime any raghead can walk right through an airport unchallenged because that would be profiling.
Do I sound like one of those disillusioned vets? Yep. Guilty.
It really doesn't matter who is in charge. It is the same old bullshit. One party or the other. As I said the other night. The more things change the more they stay the same.
Teabags& Turdblossms. Good job msnbc. You cAn stick a fork in Olby, he's gone by Dec. Mark it down. You heard it here first. The guy is done.
Madcow's top story? A teabag
That's weird from a lesbian she-hag
"One two punch to the face"
Journalistic disgrace
Not a one or two, but a three-bag
Just how far has journalistic objectivity fallin' by the wayside at NBC News?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ViBf2Riqqo
I think one can even ask after watching this, how far have late-night talk shows fallin'?
Another classic from Katy....And every rhymed word so true!
I will review the clips over at MSNBC.com from last night's COUNTDOWN later today, looking for any objective analysis of the Obama administration's recent moves domestially that, if done by the Bush administration, would have received a much different reaction from old Olbermann (especially the DHS report).
Also, I need to know if Olbermann and Turley discussed, with baited breath and paranoid innuendo, the destruction of our constitution by the current DOJ with their position on the terrorist suspects being held in Afghanistan (you know, the ones that are so different from the one's Obama is trying to free in GITMO that they are being "DENIED HABEAS!").
Of course, if "tea-bagging" was the priority for Olbermann on this quality NBC NEWS program, as I have read above, I think my review of the more serious issues involving life, death and freedom will be brief!
I would love to debate and test my simple observations of hypocrisy with some from the radical left (the church of SNOBamessiah) but it seems they are continuing to be too timid to defend either their messiah or his blind salesman over at NBC NEWS, Reverand Olbermann.....Oh well, the cowardly hit and run comments from MikeHypocrite will have to suffice for now.
The once heated argument over the war against terror in Iraq has really been lost here at OW ever since Obama quietly (and cynically) abandoned his belief that the war was lost, freedom for the Iraqis was no longer important and US troops needed to be precipitously withdrawn.....so I expect the many zealots to simply ignore truth and honesty on anything the dear leader does through these next 3 1/2 years.....a very sad and dangerous situation for us all.
VERO POSSUMUS!
I reviewed the video from last night's COUNTDOWN......
No segment on the Obama DOJ requesting the courts allow the continuation of Bush's policies regarding detainees in Afghanistan....meaning those detainees still do not have access to our court system to have their claim of habeas corpus heard.
Sure, Olbermann covered the tea party's coming up today as the most important story. We all know how dangerous and scary those protestors can be.....Remember how Olbermann handled Cindy Sheehan and her protests in Crawford over the "lost war?"
Sure, Olbermann covered Bush's meeting with former aides in Texas, but his fine unbiased introduction mentioning Bush's policys on Iraq, Afghanistan, the deficit and a "destroyed economy," was missing any reference to the once important aspect of Bush's tenure Olbermann used to get very worked up about.....Bush Co's impeachable crimes like killing habeas corpus, eavesdropping on Americans and lying us into war. Oh well, I suppose all is fogiven and forgotten! Darn those SPECIAL COMMENTS!
Mmmm, and of course #3, #2 and #1 dealt with important issues....especially comedian leftist Al Franken's admission into The US Senate and Bo, the first dog!
Of course, defending Obama from all of those evil rightwingers not giving him all the credit for the safe rescue of Captain Phillips is a requirement of any zealot from the church of SNOBamessiah.
The hypocrisy at the end of WPitW was very blatent because all throughout Bush's presidency Olbermann and the radical left did try to annihilate him and his supporters with the worst of lies, demogoguery and manipulation. Recall the obvious success of the surge in Iraq and how the left called General Petraeus a liar and traitor with Olbermann's defense of such garbage. Even the country's fine military men and women were not immune from the political hatred of Olbermann, Obama, Clinton and the rest of the left.
And Olbermann HATED ANYTING Bush....one of many examples?....Thanks to NEWSBUSTERS for the following.....
"So not only did the Bush administration and the Bush Pentagon ignore the prewar intel, that the WMD we sought to recover were not in Iraq, but the Bush administration and the Bush Pentagon ignored that if we removed Saddam Hussein an insurgency of some sort would develop in Iraq. And now we learn the Bush administration and the Bush Pentagon ignored the prewar intel that when an insurgency did develop, it would use roadside bombs to kill the troops we needlessly sent there.
"I don’t know what, if any religion you belong to, but I suspect you’ll agree that people who ignored that many foretellings of preventable death should have a long time to think about it in hell!"
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brad-wilmouth/2009/03/07/olbermann-bush-admin-members-should-be-hell-ignoring-pre-war-warnings
###
So, again, more Olbermann hypocrisy and stevenrw is so right in the post above....I hope J$ is working his magic once again. There have been NO rebuttals posted to the last classic video of Olbermann hypocrisy regarding the throwing around of the smear, "FASCIST!"
With regards to Olbermann's worrying about how Rush, Hannity et al are covering the hostage rescue AS PUNDITS, I wonder what "journalist" Olbermann's analysis would have included if Bush was Commander in Chief and the same result occurred over in the Indian Ocean. Would, "Killing those pirates is going to make more pirates," have been mentioned on the show?.....Mmmm, I wonder. How about a guest in the echo chamber prepared with all sorts of claims of "racism," "US hegemony," or even concerns over our relations with the international community because our President chose not to do what they all do....you know, pay the ransom and not kill anyone....Mmmm, Bush the hero?....I doubt it would ever be considered possible from the Reverand Olbermann.
So Obama has the position to close GITMO and release the terrorists because those detainee's are being mistreated, yet Bagram remains with the same Bush policy regarding justice for those terrorists....Ok dokey.
And Olbermann's response?.....Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
So ends that episode of COUNTDOWN; the third episode Keith Olbermann failed to call Barack Obama a fascist or demand he, "RESIGN!" Good night & good luck.
Olbermann gone by December?
No. Although I'm afraid to admit it, Olby is here to stay. But what is more likely is that NBC will be forced to spin off MSNBC into its own partisan opinion network. A number of talking heads will embarrass GE/NBC to such an extent that they will end up being compelled to dump MSNBC completely. (I'm astonished that the mere mention of "teabagging" isn't enough for management. Truly astonishing.)
The only way it will happen is when their wallet is affected. When advertising crashes, it will be all over for GE. Like I said once before, I give it until the mid-term elections. The circus has just arrived, the show will reach its climax around election time.
If you think MSNBC is looney now, just wait until it becomes unaffiliated. Finally unaccountable, Olby will truly thrive in his own little world.
There is a lot of truth to that Lucas. Spunoff, MSNBC doesn't get the leverage against advertisers that it gets from NBC parent and GE. Both have the ability to apply that leverage to certain advertisers from many directions. NBC can sweetheart them somewhere else where the numbers are high. GE can use its tremendous purchasing power to apply leverage to vendors to put some ads up. This stuff goes on all of the time. Alone that leverage disappears.
Not completely sure they will spin it off. More likely that KO will implode in a way that even the people who would like to protect him cannot. At that point the whole business model of MSNBC sinks with him.
Personally I would rather see that happen. He deserves the humiliation that will come with the implosion.
Ann Coulter has a very well supported and humorous summation of why the tea parties are sound in their foundation and motivations. Also, the snark directed at MSNBC and Barney Frank is good for a nice chuckle....
http://www.anncoulter.com/
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#30199155
The above is a link to David Shuster's double entendre coverage of the tea party protests on Countdown.
I don't think I've ever seen a supposedly "real" and "nonpartisan" reporter show such utter contempt for a group of people.
It's shameful and hideously embarrassing.
Thanks MSNBC for educating us on the slang use of term "teabagging" in order to show your disdain for some Obama critics.
