Oh and apparently he's going to attack Maine Senator Susan Collins for blocking pandemic flu preparedness. First of all, Schumer was against it, too:

Second of all, 10 seconds of innernet searching for "Susan Collins flu" found that she voted for a motion that, in part, had funds for "domestic beneficiaries include state HIV grant programs, mine safety research, youth violence prevention activities, and pandemic flu protection.”

Wow, just.......wow. This flu story is even dumber than I thought.

Keith stated at the beginning that the flu pandemic money was stricken from the stimulus bill, only to be added to a separate appropriations bill that passed. Having said that, he and Hayes proceeded to talk for the rest of the segment why Republicans were against spending money on pandemic preparedness! Truly bizarre.

I haven't read the comments above me because I just want to say this:
The first three blocks of "The O'Reilly Factor" tonight were very frustrating. The first two blocks were the Talking Points Memo and Top Story segment about the impending show trials, alleged prisoner abuse pictures, and an insulting political cartoon in the New York Times where the Statue of Liberty is shown wielding a whip. What really frustrated me was knowing that there isn't a goddamn thing any of us can do about any of it, and Keith "Man on Fan" Olbermann will attack Bill, Karl Rove (Top Story I guest), Mary Katharine Ham (Top Story II co-guest), and Juan Williams (Top Story II co-guest) tomorrow night. He'll do so either in WPitW or a full segment "Factor Fiction" attack. The third block was the Personal Story segment with Jon Meacham, Mr. Newsweek, the man that employs all of Keith's sock puppet pals: The Wolffe Man, Fineman, Alter, and Screw 'Em Moulitsas, among others.

I couldn't finish Meacham's segment. He defended his radical left magazine with his Great Thanks Crusaders and called for said show trials and such. He also called Bill "ahistorical." Ooh, big words. I'll bet your pal Keith loves that.

I caught BillO on the XMradio and I thought he did well vs. Newsweek especially in regards to the Mel Gibson story. While I think Mels divorce is a non story, BillO nailed the guy on double standards in reports on religious vs. non-religious folks.

On the swine flu, watch for the olby/kos dems to use this 'crisis' as grounds for pushing through HHS nominee K. Sebeilus. Hopefully the repub's are awake when this happens and replay both Obamas and the HHS comments that no official sec has not affected our response to this crisis.

I ended up watching the whole segment with Meacham, after all. It was so-so, but everything I said happened in the segment did happen.

I chuckle at such easy jokes in the current environment of the conventional wisdom acceptance of Obama perfection.

Did the chief cheerleader, Keith Olbermann, cover the administration's stupidity yesterday with the empty Air Force One flyover of The Statue of Liberty? If he did, was it with serious indignation which would have occurred if the current occupant of The White House had an (R) after his/her name?
