The pictures here get better every time.
Great picture, Johnny.
I still can't bear to watch him so I will be my usual cowardly self and wait for the guys to do it.
Wow. I'll never think of George Wallace (comedian, not politician), Jerry Seinfeld, or Tom Papa the same way again. Too bad.
Are those guys on the left and right of the picture famous people?
Again with the haptics, Jerry Seinfeld wants out of this photo op. The people behind them aren't too thrilled either.
Very very interesting Monday night ratings..
Friday, everyone was down
Bill and Fox rebounded..the same can not be said for MSNBC...Madcow is under 1,000,000 now..Keith almost the same..

sorry guys I don't know what happened..so everyone get the picture that KO and MSNBC's rating are DOWN>>>>>>>>>>>
To follow up on the t-shirt deal, how about a "NOlbermann" t-shirt w/ either the countdown or msnbc logo w/ the slash through it?
I'll take my cut of any profits as well.
That photo is a great. Plus if you look at his blog he has captioned the photo:
"... the suit is ok at the yard once in awhile. Look at the difference it can make if you get to pose for a photo with a few viewers."
He just can't help himself - he had to claim these people watch Countdown. Did he go thru the ballpark and get his picture taken with every celeb he saw there? This blog isn't about baseball, it's about him and anyone famous he can pose with. What an ego.
Brian Williams has lost all credibility by appearing on this sorry show. He should be embarrassed.
Madcow's been under a million several times in the last few weeks. I hope that becomes her new plateau. RESIGN, Rachel!!
Oddly, Ed has stabilized at half a million.
KO bounces all over the place.
Mike C.,
Except for Wallace it looks like Seinfeld and Papa are forcing a smile.
Like, "Who is this guy?"
Nomorekeith (henceforth from me, NMK) was citing the ratings as listed on TVByTheNumbers.
Ktt Brian Williams does what he's told, plain and simple. His newscast sounds rehearsed and he looks like he's the public relations director for the current administration.
Sadly this is one of the guys I admired when I was younger and thinking about journalism as a career.
Did anyone see the interview with the "mouse"
Margreat Cararslon..her and KO laid the blame about the Pig Flew at the feett of you guessed it evil corp American farmers use those poor mexicans to advoid those pesky American regulations..
cjflan32, I've been lazy and just not changing the channel after my local news but I will from now on. How much trouble does it take to hit some new numbers and leave BW behind. With the warmer weather I'll probably desert the local news also.
1,091,000 viewers for KO - I think that's the lowest he's gone, and that's with him there. Darn shame, lol. I feel a desperation special comment coming on.
Either a Special Komment or a Factor Fiction. Tell you the truth I want KO to start showing awards he won as a kid ( if he has any ) and report cards.
Really I'm just asking for more easy material for Red Eye.
What is the over & under on Arlin Spector of Death showing up on the hour of spin tomorrow night? Wow Keith looks fat and old in that picture.
Well ktt when dinner is on I don't have control over the remote. I lobbied for Fox News but was shot down. The point is if you need to be lied to there are plenty of left wing blogs to check out.
It's a damn shame that Brian Williams has become a propaganda spewer. I will say though that Chuck Todd does try to make sense occasionally and quickly gets shot down or has to say something fast before his mic gets cut. But Andrea Mitchell is horrible and I've been saying for years that Richard Engel should be arrested for treason. And every time I see it they have this "feel good" shot of the Obamas or something similar. Today the dog got to visit the Oval Office. Because they're the only family with a dog.
Yankees are cutting ticket prices:
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4108293
A few paragraphs down our champion of the little people bitches that he's not getting a price cut, then brags about giving away some for charity.
What a f****** hero.
$850 Legends Suite season tickets. Think of all the people NBC cut and the reported non-union jobs at MSNBC so TV boy could get his 7.5 mil salary only to whine about paying so much for his tickets.
To be fair to ESPN, it was an AP story.
Lafinman, you're right. The report cards, the penmanship award certificates and perfect attendance letters are next, not to mention those Cable Ace awards, or maybe something from his college radio days.
He certainly doesn't have any athletic awards, unless it were from today's life where everyone gets a trophy. Of course he could have one made for himself.
That picture will haunt me for weeks. Does anyone else think Olbermann is sort of like that Seinfeld character who constantly said, "It's the best. Jerry. The best!"
I have the feeling somewhere someone is filling a bathtub for our boy.
You're speaking of Kenny Bania, a character portrayed by Steve Hytner. Now that I think of it, Hyntner looks a little like Dick Clark.
Once again tonight I see more of BOR on My Ass N B C than I see of him on FNC. Like I said in my post last week, if O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck, et al @ FNC will just cease to acknowledge this assholebermann, it will drive him crazy......YES CRAZIER THAN HE ALREADY IS!!!
R.I.P. the "old," non-water-carrying Brian Williams
What was the attack for this time, SnO?
BTW, this makes 2 consecutive nights that Madcow appears to have contracted her namesake disease or else she's really, really stoned....
Sorry MC. I was busy w/Madcow.....
KO went on and on about Rove having to calm BOR down during his (BOR's) Statue of Liberty/whip/NY Times segment last night. KO ran nearly the whole seg of video while providing his own polished brand of expert commentary in the background.
Mike/ he attacked Billo. tPM re: whips and stAtue of liberty
The smile on Jerry looks about as forced as one can get. It reminds me of all the times George got him into a situation where he didn't want to be, but found himself in none-the-less, or all the times Neuman popped into his apartment uninvited.
Like "Oh Christ, what does he want from me now?!"
WPitW
3rd: Michelle Bachman (coug-R): Repeating Co2 claims.
2nd: Brian Kilmead:Against McCain's view of torture.
1st: BILLO!!! For the NYT cartoon yesterday. Uses Ted Baxter voice (which is a dis-service to Ted Knight) citing that he saw the cartoon on NOT NYT but FNC and then Keith hangs out the old bartard of the liberal: "why do you hate america?"
The blue blog source was either Newshounds, HuffPo, or Crooks & Liars. Sans Olbermann Science Theater 3000, here are last night's T-Points and the first part of the Top Story segment. (The other part was with Juan Williams and Mary Katharine Ham.)
You may remember that in last night's thread, I expressed my frustration and fear that Keith would use that T-Points and Top Story in an attack tonight:
"The first three blocks of "The O'Reilly Factor" tonight were very frustrating. The first two blocks were the Talking Points Memo and Top Story segment about the impending show trials, alleged prisoner abuse pictures, and an insulting political cartoon in the New York Times where the Statue of Liberty is shown wielding a whip. What really frustrated me was knowing that there isn't a goddamn thing any of us can do about any of it, and Keith "Man on Fan" Olbermann will attack Bill, Karl Rove (Top Story I guest), Mary Katharine Ham (Top Story II co-guest), and Juan Williams (Top Story II co-guest) tomorrow night. He'll do so either in WPitW or a full segment "Factor Fiction" attack."
He only went after the eeevil O'Reilly and the equally-if-not-more eeevil Karl Rove, but I was right again. My cynical pessimism strikes again. I've said this before, but it's too bad I don't bet on my predictions. I'd probably make a lot of money.
Worser blue blog source: Media Matters. Rip 'n Read played the full audio. Torture! [Ding!]
I'm not bothering with the source for Worse.
I watched the O'Reilly Attack. I take back what I said about Mystery Science Theater 3000. You know what the title for the segment with Rove is on FOXNews.com? "Friendly Debate." Debate, Keithy. Debate. Try having it on your show some time.
I have to comment on this, its about Madcow! She had on the KING OG ALL RINO Chafey..yes is he back! Ok get this he claims that the left wingers are not trying to pureify the dem party with only left wingers. Remember a couple of weeks ago when Madcow went after ben Nelson of Neb and Sen Bye of Indiana. Anway, Chfey had the nerver to say when the left wingers chased Libermann and forced to make him run as an Indpendents. Some how that is not the same for libs, that is actually OK! And ..Talk about gender bending..wowo! WOOWOW!
Keith's ratings have officially reached single digits. Fox news cable shows now run for more minutes on KO than Keith. The blue blog fans don't want to watch FNC so they are tuning out. 99% of Keith's numbers now belong in the BOR column.

April Ratings: FNC Beats CNN and MSNBC Combined
How's this for cable news domination - Fox News beat CNN and MSNBC combined in every hour from 6amET to MidnightET in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo for April 2009.
FNC had the top 11 cable news programs in Total Viewers and 12 of the top 15 in the demo. FNC is the #2 network in Total Viewers on all of cable.
From 9amET on, every program grew by more than 60% in the demo. The 5pmET hour, now occupied by Glenn Beck, is up 212% in the demo and up 128% in Total Viewers. Your World with Neil Cavuto is up 102% in the demo and up 60% in Total Viewers. On the Record with Greta Van Susteren is up 75% in demo and up 55% in Total Viewers. Also in demo: FOX Report is up 75%, Special Report 70%, The O'Reilly Factor 74% and Hannity 64%.
Fox & Friends has now been #1 for 90 consecutive months, Studio B with Shepard Smith for 80 consecutive months.
I see where 3 of the Fort Dix "knuckleheads" got life in prison (the remaining two's fate will be decided later today). Being as they were the most "inept cartoon characters," at least as far as the ape ruler was concerned, I shudder to think what they would have gotten if he was the judge.
Maybe a lifetime invite to come on his show? Keys to the city. A Special Komment and then a question and answer session along with Garofalo?
Better yet, if they had tried it under Obama's watch would he have a Special Komment asking for the death penalty?
God, every time I think of all his anti-American rants and lies it really makes me sick. Unbelievable to how vile and hypocritical he is. If this Photo-op with the planes had happened under Bush we would have been subjected to weeks of Special Komments about how Bush could care less about the deaths of Americans, and to how incompetent he is.
Anti-American Fraud. Nothing more to say...
Via the Wednesday thread at J$P, the infamous, deplorable Keith Torturemann is ramping up his attempt to start a feud with Sean Hannity. Said ramping up occurred in an interview with Olbermahn sympathizer David Bauder of the AP. I addressed this in Friday's open thread over the initial attempt:
"I guess Keith wants to bait another Fox personality into a feud with him. Dream on, Merkle. Not happening."
And I really hope it doesn't happen.
Yet, Wolverine, in Jane Fondamann's eyes, O'Reilly is the one that "hate(s) America."
"Jane Fondamann's"...I like that Mike, as she was the first of a long list of American hater's that may have started this anti-American theme that has stayed with us right up to the present one...olbermann.
Fondamann she will forever be known as.
I originally called Keith "Jane Fonda Olbermann," based on J$ saying of Keith: "If it were 1972, Keith would be Jane Fonda"...or something like that. I finally thought here of combining the two. I'm glad you like it. :)
Every time I see or hear Olby doing a BOR attack, it doesn't bother me.
He's been doing this for how many years? With no results! And really, it's just free promo for FNC.
So everytime he does it, I just think of Olby pissing into a big fan and him getting hit by his own Golden Shower.
He's either too dumb to turn away, OR! He likes it.
There are over 600 signatures from Americans across the country. Add your name to the list!
FIRE KEITH OLBERMANN
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/fire-keith-olbermann
This petition is sent to MSNBC and Steve Capus, President of NBC News, on a regular basis. (steve.capus@nbc.com)
Join in and let MSNBC know what you think!
Is there a spam blocker for that damn petition? DUDE, YOU'VE BEEN SHOVING THAT DOWN OUR THROATS FOR A MONTH AND GOT 130 SIGNATURES. THAT'S NOT GOOD. YOU WENT TO THE TOP OLBERMANN CRITICISM SITE AND GOT 130 SIGNATURES IN A MONTH. IT'S NOT WORKING.
GO AWAY. AND TELL THE PERSON WHO WROTE THAT OVERVIEW TO GROW UP.
At the game Keith wants all to see
His cool laniard and Ag degree
He's the dork in the suit
His point is moot
A foul ball could end the misery
Jane Fondamann is good, but I think my name for KO is more apropos to the man's character and the puppet he has become for President Obama:
Keith Gobbels-Olbermann, the Minister of Propaganda
pictuer this, you are sitting down getting ready to watch a baseball game, paid good money for the seats, and this fat slob sits his fat ass next to you and proceeds to show you his degree?
Its all about Keith, it always about keith.
I wish i had his email, I would fax him the over nights with a chart showing his steady decline..
ha,ha,ha,ha
After poor numbers from Monday, Keithee puts back on the suit. No more just a shirt.
Senator Spector's change in party affiliation is another story that is getting myopic, very ill-informed coverage, especially on COUNTDOWN.
Senator Snowe ended an editorial with the following:
"There is no plausible scenario under which Republicans can grow into a majority while shrinking our ideological confines and continuing to retract into a regional party. Ideological purity is not the ticket back to the promised land of governing majorities — indeed, it was when we began to emphasize social issues to the detriment of some of our basic tenets as a party that we encountered an electoral backlash.
"It is for this reason that we should heed the words of President Ronald Reagan, who urged, 'We should emphasize the things that unite us and make these the only litmus test of what constitutes a Republican: our belief in restraining government spending, pro-growth policies, tax reduction, sound national defense, and maximum individual liberty. As to the other issues that draw on the deep springs of morality and emotion, let us decide that we can disagree among ourselves as Republicans and tolerate the disagreement.'"

This dishonesty cannot be allowed to stand!
Snowe, Collins and Spector were the only three that voted for the Obama stimulus plan! How did that vote reflect, "belief in restraining government spending, pro-growth policies, tax reduction, sound national defense, and maximum individual liberty?"
That is why Toomey was beating Spector in the PA GOP primary....conservatives are fed-up with Republicans acting like democrats when it comes to fiscal policy and national security, it has nothing to do with abortion, sam-sex marriage or any of the other social issues Snowe dishonestly implies drove Spector to the democrats.
The strawman argument from the left (and Snowe here) is that Republicans have been pushing the social issues as of late. Evidence, please.
The Bush unpopularity, and hense the last 2 national election cycles, did not come from social issues....it came from 2 sources....the economic problems that arose and the war.....On those issues, democrats were able to take advantage of perceived failures and mistakes so that independents decided to give the democrats a chance to fix it all.....
That is the key here, and as a conservative I recommend that republicans simply stick to those core principles and WAIT. Wait for the democrats, whether it is 1,2,5 or even 10 years, to fall flat on their faces in both the national security and economic arenas and thoughtful, clear-thinking people to realize the "progressive" lie that is really an anti-America, anti-freedom radical ideology and is not a good choice, even in the face of insecurity and challenge.
Spector saved Spector....period. Toomey was was club for growth fiscal conservative making great inroads into the conservative base of the PA GOP because Spector abandoned those very core principles Snowe quoted Reagan on.....How ironic!
I just watched the #3 segment where Keithee & his lady friend waffle seamlessly and surreally between Swine Flu & Arlen Specter.
At one point the "Lie-On King" wonders if Repubs will want to pursue contolling US-owned pig farms in Mexico.
Two logical thoughts that KO was incapable of verbalizing: (1) Maybe both parties might want to think about that and (2) if that is all possible given that they are in another country!!
A muted mogrel tonight on the church of SNOBamessiah revival hour with Reverand Olbermann:
"Despite massive government interventions, the economy performed almost exactly as badly in the first quarter of 2009 as it did in the last quarter of 2008.
"This puts a big hole in the Obama administration’s economic projections for the next year, and also for the long term. The OMB based its deficit projections on an assumption that the US economy would return to growth this year, which this GDP puts in severe doubt."
[...]
"Thus far, we have spent almost $3 trillion on bailouts and another $800 billion on stimulus packages. Clearly, these have not led to recovery. The bailouts were sold as ways to prevent a catastrophic collapse of the economic system, but thus far lending has not increased (for good reasons) and we’re still seeing bankruptcies ahead for GM, Chrysler, AIG, and others. Six banks failed their stress tests this week, as Stephen Spruiell notes, which may prompt even more government intervention.
"Some will say that the stimulus package has not had enough time to work. It passed in mid-February, though, and six weeks of government spending didn’t move the needle. That highlights its greatest weakness: it doesn’t actually provide short-term stimulus. Republicans kept pointing out that most of the spending came after 2009, and half of it after 2010, when by the Obama budget projections the economy would already be in recovery.
"After almost $4 trillion in spending and commitments, we’re still where we were in the 2008Q4."

Yeppers....As Olbermann and the Obama lapdog media celebrate 100 days of the one, facts remain unreported, promises remain broken, and expectations remain unmet.
The Republican party core values of restraining government spending, pro-growth policies, tax reduction, sound national defense, and maximum individual liberty stand in stark contrast to the Obama stimulus bill and budget.....Did Arlen Spector vote for either?
He voted for the stimulus package....and what has it accomplished?
Who really moved....Spector or the Republican Party?
Facts are inconvienient for the left.
I'd take all this bitching about Obama more seriously if the Republican Party wasn't so far into the shitter. Oh, and I can't stand Keith Olbermann.
Here is more great news from the raitings world! Poor KO his poor madcow......
While we have daily cable news ratings posts, and I have kept up the long term chart of O’Reilly Factor vs. Countdown ratings, here’s another cable news ratings time period chart.
The 9pm Rachel Maddow Show premiered on MSNBC in October, 2008. After peaking in October, its April average in the adults 25-54 demographic prized by cable news advertisers is less than half the levels in its first month and has been on a fairly steady decline during all of 2009.
http://tvbythenumbers.com/category/ratings/top-news/cable-news
I wounder if this what they whistle while walking down the hallways over at MSNBC?
Oh where, oh where has our audience gone gone
Oh where, oh where can they be?
With all their crazy left wing ideas, their code pink t shirts and Cindy Sheean protest signs?
Oh where, oh where can they have gone ( back in their caves)
Where has the Matthews/Olbermann/Maddow audience gone? Well, it just goes to show that the liberal voting bloc is a highly uneducated group that is least of all interested in a serious analysis of current events. Yes, I am guilty of a generalization. But the question is, is it an fair generalization or not? Let's just look at the makeup of the media and society outside the family to see how the average American thinks. For the past 40 years, it is truly a miracle that any Republican has even won the presidency. How?
The liberals own the mainstream news media. (By 9-to-1, they donate to Dems.)
The liberals own entertainment TV. (Jon Stewart, Letterman, The Family Guy, constant disregard for conservative family values like MTV, etc...)
The liberals own the newspapers. (Name as many left-leaning papers as you can. Then name as many right-leaning papers. There's no comparison.)
The liberals own the boards of education. (Rampant political correctness. Unions against school vouchers.)
The liberals own the colleges and universities. (Fascist intolerance of any conservative speakers on campus.)
It is simply a Leftist indoctrination of our youth that has continued unchecked for decades. What is the point? There is a severe crisis in a lack of critical thinking and reasoning. Our younger generations (under 40) have no idea what it means to have "American values". Instead, they are swayed by what is cool. What is hip. What is embraced by the media!
So this huge contingent of zombies, already successfully indoctrinated by the Left to think and behave a certain way, check in to their echo chambers on MSNBC and other dubious halls of Leftist thought just in time for the elections to hear everything they've already been trained to "feel". The audience spike that MSNBC enjoyed had nothing to do with the value of their product. On the contrary, it had to do with the successful indoctrination methodology of the media at large that had preceded them for years.
The latest evidence of this indoctrination of thought is over Spector's defection. We are supposed to believe by the media that the Republican party has simply moved too far to the right. No, the problem is that the progressives, liberals, and the Democratic party has moved so far to the left in recent years that Republican principles seem more and more foreign to the liberal media. The Democrats are basically European socialists today. Can you imagine JFK fitting in the Democratic party today? They're as similar as oil and water.
In a society where Leftist dogma is running rampant with no abandon, it is a testament to how UTTERLY PATHETIC the MSNBC product is that they cannot even garner HALF of the audience share of FNC in any given hour.

Take solace in the fact that President Obama's 3.44 trillion dollar budget passed without one Republican vote today.
The democrats own every bad outcome that will result from this absolute mockery of fiscal restraint and common sense.
Just like the democrats own any bad outcomes of the dismantling of the national security safeguards we have seen work these past eight years.
The Republican Party is out of power....they have been since 11/08. It is reality as it was for the democrats in 2000.
The same will be done that was done in 2000-2008....period. Nothing constructive or bipartisan from the left.
The destruction resulting from Obama's policies will not be enough to destroy our great nation. I have faith.
Wait. Patience. Stay principled.
Another muted mongrel tonight on COUNTDOWN:
"Reid's Specter deal stirs senior Dems' anger"
"One senior Democratic lawmaker told The Hill that the Democratic Conference will vote against giving the longtime Pennsylvania Republican seniority over lawmakers like Harkin, Mikulski and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) when they hold their organizational meeting after the 2010 election.
"Specter was elected in 1980, and under his deal with Reid would jump ahead of all but a few Democrats when it comes time to dole out committee chairmanships and assignments.
"'That’s his deal and not the caucus's,' [Mikulski] said of Reid’s agreement with Specter."

Oh my...the blatant power hunger and personal priorities of the left's political ruling class....So nice to see "change" has come to Washington.
Again, to anyone worried about the longterm health of our nation....look at how Obama and his petty clan are acting and see there is nothing to worry about.....These are the same ideological lightweights that we saw in the late 1970's and the outcome will be the same. Prepare.
Wait. Be patient. Stay principled.
Spector saved Spector....period. Toomey was was club for growth fiscal conservative making great inroads into the conservative base of the PA GOP because Spector abandoned those very core principles Snowe quoted Reagan on.....How ironic!
-------------------------------------------------
I think Snowe will jump ship to the Dems soon. Probably before the end of May.
The only group shrinking faster than Olbermann and Maddow's audience is the GOP.
A few minutes after Man on Fan attacked O'Reilly for the T-Points and segment with Rove (parsing and taking everything out of context in the process), Bill read related viewer e-mails:
Jim Donna, Brewerton, NY: "Bill, you are right that the ACLU, The New York Times and NBC News are smearing the USA. Your problem is that you don't understand President Obama is sympathetic to their tactics."
Bill's response: "You know, that *is* the right-wing point of view, Jim, and it may be true. But to be *fair*, more time is needed to make that judgment."
Leon Schrei, Houston, TX: "Bill, thanks for getting Karl Rove to finally stand up against the America-haters."
