This is the recappers' comment thread for the Wednesday Night Hour of Spin. Post your analysis of Keith "Man on Fan" Olbermann right here. And don't spare the adjectives! Comments are open!
Why is this guy on TV? A man who pimps out his own dead mother for an awkward attempt at comedy. I don't understand why he goes after Republicans when they have no power. The Speaker is on now. A man with an orange face and a woman with a frozen face. What a combo!
KO says Rush usually doesn't have people on his show who disagree with him. Usually. Well Oberdork, at least had one person on who disagrees with him. You have had ZERO. YOU can't defend your views, YOU never have anyone on your "show" that disagrees with you and YOU never debate anyone. What a hypocrite.
Nothing but a FRAUD who hides behind his desk and criticizes others because they have higher ratings. Same guests and attacks night after night after night. This "man" is a piece of work. So jealous of Fox News because they destroy him in the ratings every single night. How can anyone with an I.Q. over 4 take him seriously???
So Olbermann is blaming Beck again. This has to be Olbermann's way of coping with the fact that the language in his own special comments is often indistinguishable from the language used in Usama bin Laden propaganda tapes. John Gibson had a great segment on this once. I am sure that it is in the OlbyWatch archives.
Mike, Beck was #1 in WPITW tonight because Jimmy Legs found some quotes from 2008 from Beck saying (1) the video game Grand Theft Auto was bad for letting players kill cops by setting them on fire or cutting them in half with a chainsaw, and (2) Beck quoted a report by the American Medical Association (and I was shocked Olbermann played the clip and kept the source in there) saying something about how murders or crime in general rose significantly after televisions were introduced into American homes.
Olbermann issue a one of his famous non-apology apologies for the Twitter smear. Rember, Olbermann never makes mistakes, certain episodes of Meltdown just get purged.
The one thing that caught my attention about the rush story was when Keith said " Gee dosen't he have a red button he can press to get rid of the guy" No KO that is the diffrence between you and him he would rather let someone have their say and then rip them to shreads with his words. You Hide behind you stupid desks acting like a chicken shit, the day you have someone on your show that dosen't agree with is the day I become a liberal
So Olby is implying that Beck admitted in the past that violent games and TV can influence violent behavior therefore Beck is a hypocrite for saying his show cannot.
That would be a good theory if Beck's show was violent but it's not. The Leftouts think it is because of snippets like, "We need to take back our country." If someone in the urban city says, "We need to take back our neighborhood", what idiot thinks they mean there going to kill everyone on the block.
Beck has never promoted violence and has always discouraged it. His leftout critics think he's advocating killing by defending the 2nd amendment.
Olby and his ilk idolize cop killers like Mumia abu Jamal, Leonard Peltier, Bill Ayers etc...

They were discussing Rush, Keith and the dork with the 'kick me in the ass' glasses. Keith let this putz get away with using the word 'disputatious', twice. Both of these fems should be beat down for that alone. Keith pointed out that Rush "never" has callers that disagree with him. That's a bold-faced lie. I've heard Rush take literally hundreds of calls from disagreers ( thanks Gutfield).
So I switch to 'The Factor' and O'Reilly is sounding like a clown going after a nobody, Eminem, for a stupid video. BillO should realize that anyone who buys Eminem's goods isn't going to give a tinkers damn about 'culture wars'. Bill should save his energy for the powerful, like judges and politicians, and keep out of the pop culture. He'll never win that one anyway.
Rush doesn't have people on who disagree with him? What about when he takes phone calls from fellow listeners? When I use to listen to Rush I always loved it when he took calls, and most of those people did not agree with him.
KO isn't in the same league as the likes of Rush or BOR. My guess is if he ever had to debate anyone one it would play out the same way Barney Frank got owned by a Harvard student who set him up so good Barney was too stupid to catch on to it.
The point of the segment was that when conservatives make fun or criticize liberals, there is outrage in the media. When the opposite happens, silence. And that's what happened with Eminem's Palin attack.
Here is video of the segment: http://tinyurl.com/dj2xzl
Another episode of Olbermann screaming for attention on his show tonight. He is obviously having a hard time dealing with his stagnant ratings. Tonight he said Rush Limbaugh usually doesn't have dissenting opinions on his show. First of all, this is a lie and he obviously knows this. Secondly, Olbermann also obviously knows that it is he who refuses to have anyone on his show who disagrees with him. It is an intentional display of hypocrisy used to try to goad someone, anyone into a gutter brawl. He wants to be called on his hypocrisy by Rush, Beck, O'Reilly, or anyone with an audience. Just like his recent attack on Brit Hume for using an "ultra-conservative" website as a source for his reporting. He didn't mention that Hume would usually credit Media Research Center when he used them as a source. On the other hand, the hypocritical Olbermann constantly uses far left websites such as Media Matters and Think Progress, while posting regularly on the Daily Kos. Again, anyone who even casually follows news and media is aware of these facts. Keith deliberately lies and misleads his viewers in the hope that his opponents will have a breaking point and expose his hypocrisy on their highly rated shows. This would generate curiosity, and in Olbermann's fantasy world, curiosity would translate into higher ratings. Lies, hypocrisy, unhinged rants - nothing is too low in his hopeless bid to be relevant.

Beats me, Johnny. Between an endless flow of people showing up in my "People You May Know" queue on Facebook, a Passover seder, and "The Factor," I've been out of the loop today (now yesterday, as it's after midnight in the Eastern Time Zone).
I think you're on to something. Maybe he thinks if he's mentioned over at FOX a few of those viewers will ask themselves, "I should check that Olbermann out."
Nah, you're right, he's an unhinged pathological narcissist.
Here's something. We all know the he used his mother's death as a funny segue into WPITW but does anyone know anything about his father? I googled it and came up with Theodore Olbermann which I then googled again. The only thing I came up with is 1) he was an architect and 2) it's Keith's middle name. There was only one place where Olby mentioned his name and it's quite revealing to his psychosis:
July 29, 2008 Countdown:
"First, on this date in—we‘ll let him choose to tell who he wants which year. Theodore C. Olbermann was born in New York City. He‘s done a lot of things in his life. But if you‘ve been in a mall, the odds are about 50/50 you‘ve been in a store for which he was the architect. But most impressively, he was one of only two people in world history to have somehow survived the ordeal of raising me."
So he's the architect of 50% of the malls in America and yet you can't find crap on him through google? This is the bizarro world in which Keith lives with a touch of Oedipus complex.
So he's the architect of a store in 50% of the malls in America and yet you can't find crap on him through google? This is the bizarro world in which Keith lives with a touch of Oedipus complex.
He does not present anything original, unless his usage of words like the "stim" can be termed original. The spin that is presented is not his own but is lifted from other sources, without acknowledgement. While it is not illegal or unethical to lift the spin on a story, the spin is the one thing that should be wholly his own. The tirade filled Bush bashing special comments are what lifted his ratings a couple years ago, the ratings sag and the special comment can no longer do any lifting. He turns to bashing his competition, the ratings sag. His audience is the sagging tits and Keith is the bra that doesn't quite fit. The remaining audience after the sagging is just an echo chamber, he is just preaching to the choir. The choir pays his $7,000,000 salary. He can't earn new viewers. He's tried and failed. He gives faux interviews after he has ripped and read the "news" headline for the segment. He asks incoherent 100 word questions, the interviewee feigns interest and has that split second awkward pause as the thought shoots through his head "what was the damn question?" and gives the stock answer from the last 100 shows. Great thanks. His shows are cookie cutter, no innovation. The salary can't be endangered. No need to improve the product, the checks are coming in. Keith is the CC Sabathia of TV, out of shape, over paid, and can't get the ball over the plate. His show is mediocre because Keith is mediocre. He controls the show, it is his product. Show up on set (after a brief encounter with a hunter orange can of spray paint and your face), read the blather you wrote (that the Cornell Ag school taught you how to do) from the teleprompter, talk to the same people, bash Bush, cash check...lather, rinse, repeat.
Via the OlbyFlood, Brad Wilmouth of NewsBusters wrote about last night's Beck Attack here: http://tinyurl.com/dftvls
Text below.
*Keith Olbermann, whose Countdown show once depicted an image of Rush Limbaugh as a target of gunfire, on Tuesday accused FNC host Glenn Beck of inspiring the recent murder of three police officers in Pittsburgh by Richard Poplawski, and of "personally encouraging Americans to shoot other Americans."
Blaming Beck for inciting fear of a gun ban, Olbermann linked the FNC host to the shooting in several plugs. In one example, he referred to Beck as "Harold Hill": "Harold Hill keeps telling the bumpkins that Obama is going to take their guns away. One of them shoots and kills three policemen because he`s convinced Obama is going to take his guns away. Harold Hill does not see the connection." After several plugs in which he suggested the gunman was reacting to Beck’s show, Olbermann pulled back only slightly from the accusation as he concluded his "Worst Person in the World" segment:
**You, Glenn Beck, you personally are encouraging Americans to shoot other Americans. Maybe, especially if you're right about your religion, maybe not this psychotic in Pittsburgh. Maybe he is not your fault. I hope not. But what about the next one, Glenn? You want to cry about something on television. Cry about the next one. Beg him to ignore you. Beg the kids the next one orphans to forgive you.**
Also during the show’s "Worst Person" segment, the MSNBC host slammed the NRA for recruiting at a Louisville gun shoot where some event participants were selling controversial anti-Obama T-shirts. Olbermann:
**And this message to the NRA: If you do not want your organization to become synonymous with racism, treason, hatred, paranoia and political assassination fantasies, you'd better do something and fast. Oh, and murdering policemen. I forgot. If you don`t want your organization to become synonymous with murdering policemen-**
Olbermann’s attack on Glenn and the NRA was based a quote from a friend of the Pittsburgh gunman, who related that Poplawski was afraid that President Obama would enact a gun ban, and the MSNBC host assumed the gunman’s actions were motivated by a fear of gun control, even though the police officers were called to the gunman’s home by his mother because she was involved in a domestic dispute with her son. Olbermann: "Richard Poplawski killed three Pittsburgh policemen on Saturday because he was afraid of, a friend said, quote, ‘the Obama gun ban that's on the way,’ and he, quote, ‘didn't like our rights being infringed upon.’"*
*Below is a transcript of relevant portions of the Tuesday, April 7, Countdown show on MSNBC:
KEITH OLBERMANN, IN OPENING TEASER: Worsts: After offering his viewers a place where you can go meet other people who think like you and think about values and principles, and want to do something to take your country back, and talking about the attack on gun owners and the Second Amendment in jeopardy, Harold Hill [Ding!] over here is shocked -- shocked that he would be linked to the man who killed three Pittsburgh policemen because he feared, quote [Ding!], "the Obama gun ban that's on the way."
...
OLBERMANN, DURING COMMERCIAL BREAK AT 8:15 P.M.: And in Worsts: Glenn Beck tells viewers to rise up, take the country back, and defend their guns against the ban that is all in his head. So a psychotic shoots three policemen because he fears a gun ban, and Beck sees no connection between these things.
...
OLBERMANN, BEFORE COMMERCIAL BREAK AT 8:23 P.M.: So we've bailed out the auto industry and this is G.M.'s new product with which it will save itself and pay us back and we are screwed. Speaking of which, Harold Hill [Ding!] keeps telling the bumpkins [Ding!] that Obama is going to take their guns away. One of them shoots and kills three policemen because he's convinced Obama is going to take his guns away. Harold Hill [Ding!] does not see the connection.
...
OLBERMANN, DURING COMMERCIAL BREAK AT 8:41 P.M.: First the "Worst": And he incites violence, then there is violence, then he does not see the possibility of any connection. We’ll venture inside the mind of Glenn Beck. Don’t wear your good shoes.
...
OLBERMANN, AT 8:45 P.M.: Runner up, the unidentified sellers of this "Hitler Gave Great Speeches, Too" T-shirt. They told the "Washington Independent" that they had sold out of three boxes of the shirt by 3:00 pm Saturday at the Nob Creek Machine Gun Shoot outside Louisville. The gun shoot, at which new members were being recruited by the National Rifle Association. And this message to the NRA: If you do not want your organization to become synonymous with racism [Ding!], treason, hatred [Ding!], paranoia [Ding!] and political assassination fantasies, you’d better do something and fast. Oh, and murdering policemen. I forgot. If you don't want your organization to become synonymous with murdering policemen-
Bringing us to our winner, Harold Hill [Ding!] -- I'm sorry, Glenn Beck. Richard Poplawski killed three Pittsburgh policemen on Saturday because he was afraid of, a friend said, quote [Ding!], "the Obama gun ban that's on the way." And he, quote [Ding!], "didn't like our rights being infringed upon." When several Web sites correctly pointed out that this sounded awfully like one of Beck's hysterical [Ding!] rantings [Ding!] or maybe his interview last month with the head of the NRA, Beck immediately went back to his normal speed – high [Ding!], stupid [Ding!], dudgeon.
(bad crazy Beck impression): "Blaming anyone except that nut job for what happened in Pittsburgh is crazy. Police officers over the weekend were killed by a crazy with a gun. And blaming anybody else besides him is like blaming the flight attendant after a terrorist takes down a plane. Giving passengers a nice little safety talk to prepare them doesn't mean you’re responsible should a terrorist actually make that worst case scenario happen."
Ah, see, here’s where you go wrong. You’re not the flight attendant on the plane. Thanks for invoking that image again. You, Beck, are one of the cowards, safely on the ground, telling the nut job [Ding!] on the plane it’s time to, quote [Ding!], rise up. You remember March 19, right? Actually, you probably don't.
(lousy Beck impression): "The Second Amendment is under fire. We knew that they were going to try to bring the assault weapon ban back, but now they’re blaming it on Mexico. The 9-12 Project, which is kind of a grassroots thing where you can go meet other people who think like you and think about values and principles and want to do something to take your country back."
And then you proceeded to read a letter from a woman who said that since the election, she’d gone out and bought a handgun and joined the NRA. So when you talk about taking your country back, and then you read letters from people who are stockpiling guns, do you think these things are unconnected? That people even crazier than you, who you are encouraging to do something to take your country back, that they have bought these guns as paperweights? They’ve bought them to shoot other people with.
You, Glenn Beck, you personally are encouraging Americans to shoot other Americans. Maybe, especially if you’re right about your religion, maybe not this psychotic in Pittsburgh. Maybe he is not your fault. I hope not. But what about the next one, Glenn? You want to cry about something on television. Cry about the next one. Beg him to ignore you. Beg the kids the next one orphans to forgive you. Glenn Beck, today`s "Worst Person in the World."*
I'm sure the theatrical indignation and faux outrage showed up there.
OlbyAlert, "This just in. A job is open for a call screener on Boss Limbaugh's Show."
Uhhhhh, hmmmm...by any chance, was there an opening for a booking producer on Countdown after Howard Dean failed to get the guest prep memo prior to appearing and and making toast of the Host with the Ghost of "Fascism" Past?
Do you not, Mr. Rip 'n Read-Fall in Party Line-Echo Machine, in even the slightest capacity, see, or perceive at some gutless level, that you Sir, display the absolute audacity of misanthrope when you ironically ask, "Are we not, to some degree, also seeing the danger here, the essence ofof (sic hic-up) and the essence of the problem of an echo chamber?"
So, Mr. KO Ricola, just how many false accusations, outright lies, distortions and harmful, inaccurate slurs have you made by echoing the false accusations, outrigh lies, distortions and harmful, inaccurate slurs made by blue blogs and the Podesta TP attack machine in the last, ohhhh, let's say, 2 weeks?
The schadenfreude needle was pushing critical last night during the portion I watched.....#1, with Craig Crawford.....
"MORE WASILLINESS"
The Palin family's public discussion of their dirty laundry is fitting for political coverage considering their role in the 2008 campaign, but the glee Olbermann displays at their personal difficulties is yet another illustration of his lack of good character.
Then came the icing on the poison cake.....
In the very same segment, he repeated that he gave 25K to the IT HAPPENED TO ALEXA FOUNDATION and compared it, with bar graph, to Nancy Grace's donation of $400 (Girl Scouts of America) and to O'Reilly saying he was going to give $1000 to Palin's legal defense fund.
Olbermann actually questioned the level of generocity of Grace and O'Reilly based on his little analysis.....an analysis reeking with self-love and arrogance. I suppose Grace's frequent ratings win over Olbermann forced him to deride her kindness. His attack on O'Reilly was not a surprise to me....However, I have to admit that Olbermann's classless display, as he repeated, with a huge smile, the actual amount he gave as a gift to a charity, really took me by surprise.
I was left with my mouth agape. You can catch the pitiful scene here:
Oh well....a typical and slimy end to the hour of spin. His mother, and Mr. Murrow, would not have been proud.
So ends that episode of COUNTDOWN; the second episode Keith Olbermann failed to call Barack Obama a fascist or demand he, "RESIGN!" Good night & good luck.
twelvepackaday, great synopsis of Olberdouche. I especially like the CC Sabathia sports analogy... jocksniffer Keith might actually understand that reference. Overpaid bluster. ZERO strikeouts.
I would much rather see Ed than Olbermann. Ed at least has on people with opposing viewpoints and gives them time to talk. Maybe he'll double KO's ratings tonight. THAT would be hilarious.
Were I voting on this, I would say the caricature and quote in this thread should be right at the top of the page for awhile. It is outstanding.
Here is a paraphrase (don't want to misquote) of an article in a recent issue of the Economist. The article discusses Barney and Dodd's role in the mess.
They have both received generous campaign contributions from the financial industries that they are there to regulate. They have both enjoyed unusually close relations with the mortgage giants that helped to produce the current meltdown, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Mr. Frank resisted attempts by the Bush administration to shift regulation of the two bodies to the Treasury on the ground that they were "not facing any kind of financial crisis". He also had a lengthy romantic relationship with one of Fannie Mae's senior exectutives, Herb Moses. Mr. Dodd has long been a friend of the financial-services industry. He has received more than $13m for his various electoral campaigns from people with connections with the sector. He received $104,000 from AIG.
So Barney attacks a kid for asking him if he bears any responsibility for what happened. Go Barney.
Katy. Please keep up the good stuff on him. He deserves it all.
Reading my post, I can't help but think that Barney brings a whole new dimension to the concept of having unusually close relations with the industry one is supposed to be regulating.
Wow, I couldn't believe that segment either. It's obviously apparent that Grace and BOR gave through a compassionate heart where the smirking Olby gave only to wear it around his neck.
Olby asked his guest, referring to the chart, "What does that say about 8 PM cable hosts giving donations?". The answer, "It's clearly for show." went right over his fat head that the guest was mocking him too.
The only people dumber than Barney Frank are the people who have continually elected him for 28 years. Fall River, New Bedford and Taunton I'm talking to you.
You'd think by now a real challenger would stand up to oppose him.
At the conclusion of #3, the latest Bash Boss Rush episode, Chris Hayes does a sort of psychological profile of Limbaugh, conservatives and the House Republican Caucus.
As I listened, I realized I was hearing a perfect description, a spot on encapsulation of those, including himself, who are inflicted with the Olbermann Syndrome's Projection Symptom.
Without permission, I offer the following Altered version of Hayes' analysis, using the psychoanalytical method of substitution to demonstrate:
"Well, I think OLBERMANN is not at all cowed or ashamed of what he is and what he believes in, as sort of horrible as the things that he believes in are. I don't think there is any sense, I don't think there's an iota of shame in OLBERMANN and OLBERMANNISM. I mean I think that's one of the things we're seeing now, we see in the House DEMOCRATIC Caucus, we see it with a lot of the sort of movement organs of LIBERALISM. There's a large part of the PROGRESSIVE base that doesn't feel they have anything to apologize for."
###
Let us review for the hypocritical anti-American leftists (like MikeH) out there....
May 2007....then Senator Obama voted NO on then President Bush's request for funding the war on terror in Afghansitan and Iraq.
Obama made a speech that said a lot of nice things. One section:
"There is no military solution to this war. No amount of U.S. soldiers – not 10,000 more, not 20,000 more, not the almost 30,000 more that we now know we are sending– can solve the grievances that lay at the heart of someone else's civil war. Our troops cannot serve as their diplomats, and we can no longer referee their civil war. We must begin a phased withdrawal of our forces starting May 1st, with the goal of removing all combat forces by March 30th, 2008.
"We also must make sure that we're not as careless getting out of this war as we were getting in, and that's why this withdrawal should be gradual, and keep some U.S. troops in the region to prevent a wider war and go after Al Qaeda and other terrorists.
"But it must begin soon. Letting the Iraqis know that we will not be there forever is our last, best hope to pressure the Iraqis to take ownership of their country and bring an end to their conflict. It is time for our troops to start coming home."
###
All combat forces out of Iraq by 5/08?.....Mmmm....Now President Obama is requesting a little less than what George Bush requested to keep out combat forces there until, when?.....2010! How times change!
Oh and then there is REALITY.....
"The activities of al-Qaeda in two of Iraq's most troubled cities could keep US combat troops engaged beyond the June 30 deadline for their withdrawal, the top US commander in the country has warned.
"US troop numbers in Mosul and Baqubah, in the north of the country, could rise rather than fall over the next year if necessary, General Ray Odierno told The Times in his first interview with a British newspaper since taking over from General David Petraeus in September.
"He said that a joint assessment would be conducted with the Iraqi authorities in the coming weeks before a decision is made.
"Combat troops are due to leave all Iraqi cities by the end of June. Any delay would be a potential setback for President Obama, who has pledged to withdraw all combat forces from Iraq by August 2010 as he switches his focus to Afghanistan."
###
Oh my....the hypocrite Barack Obama was willing to force George Bush to accept defeat in Iraq with a time table ending in the spring of 2008, and now?....Well, let's see Mr. Obama walk in George Bush's shoes for a couple of more miles and see if we get any mea culpa....
Doubtful, and perhaps worse, Obama may choose to accept defeat in Iraq like I predicted all along....Allowing millions of people to fall under the thumb of despotism.
It seems Republicans are prepared to step up and support our commander-in-chief, and the troops (as usual).....
"This Congress faces the critical task of providing our men and women in uniform the resources necessary to maintain security gains in Iraq and defeat the Taliban in Afghanistan. The President's decision to continue General Petraeus' successful strategy in Iraq and implement a surge strategy in Afghanistan is a good one, but it will require a significant commitment from this Congress.
"In the consideration of this year's security supplemental bill, it is imperative that this Democrat-led Congress resist the temptation to use this must-pass bill to leverage additional and extraneous spending and focus instead on committing resources strictly for the defense of our nation."
###
Amen, Senator McConnell (R)....Let's see if the anti-America left is prepared to either eat crow or vote against the messiah in his new found conversion to winning the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Keith Olbermann better get his SPECIAL COMMENT crayon out and prepare to call President Obama all sorts of names for continuing a war that is immoral and not supported by the American people....just like under George Bush!
Why is this guy on TV? A man who pimps out his own dead mother for an awkward attempt at comedy. I don't understand why he goes after Republicans when they have no power. The Speaker is on now. A man with an orange face and a woman with a frozen face. What a combo!
Didn't he say wpitw was his mom's favorite segment? She knew he was an a-hole too.
#3 story was something about Rush Limbaugh.
This is a direct Keith Olbermann quote: "He usually doesn't have people on his show that disagree with him."
....and in WPITW he calls Glen Beck an "accessory" to the Pittsburgh shootings.

If I were Beck, I would have my lawyer write Olby a letter.
I meant "not talking *about*," but I guess he repeated the attack tonight. What a sick man.

Wow. Olbermann really is the most irony-bereft person on TV today.

My God will someone please sue this guy! Is it not slanderous to accuse someone of accessory to murder? Enough is enough.
I was replying to Dan, by the way.
Barney called Herb Moses his "spouse"

Damn Katy! You're really good at this limerick stuff! I promise to practice more before another lame attempt.
I saw somewhere that Olby is off tomorrow and the Big Ed Show will run in his slot? Anyone hear that tonight?
Beats me, Johnny. Between an endless flow of people showing up in my "People You May Know" queue on Facebook, a Passover seder, and "The Factor," I've been out of the loop today (now yesterday, as it's after midnight in the Eastern Time Zone).
On a similar note, do you know if O'Reilly will be off on Friday?
that Ed show is just dreafull. All the moving cameras Ed getting lost. MSNBC as such cheesey graphis. Poor Ed he was borh with out commom sence.
johnnie_h,
I think you're on to something.
Correction:
So he's the architect of a store in 50% of the malls in America and yet you can't find crap on him through google? This is the bizarro world in which Keith lives with a touch of Oedipus complex.
Keith is an entire sell out.
Oh man twelvepackaday, that's a beauty.
Did you hear my beer clink on the screen?
That includes all you good people here btw.
As usual, funny and on target, ramjet.....
"Mr. KO Riccola," nice one.
You can catch the pitiful scene here:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#30116482
Oh well....a typical and slimy end to the hour of spin. His mother, and Mr. Murrow, would not have been proud.
So ends that episode of COUNTDOWN; the second episode Keith Olbermann failed to call Barack Obama a fascist or demand he, "RESIGN!" Good night & good luck.
NO COUNTDoWN tonight. iT'S A SPECIAL EDITIOn of ED!!!
twelvepackaday, great synopsis of Olberdouche. I especially like the CC Sabathia sports analogy... jocksniffer Keith might actually understand that reference. Overpaid bluster. ZERO strikeouts.
What a hoot.
Cee,
Wow, I couldn't believe that segment either.
"NO COUNTDoWN tonight. iT'S A SPECIAL EDITIOn of ED!!!"
Where did you hear this? I'm trying to find confirmation but can't!
J$, I saw an advertisement for the Special ED show this morning. He will be doing the show during the 8pm hour.
Thanks. Our recappers get the night off!
Alert the CDC!
A prediction for the muted mongrel on tonight's COUNTDOWN:
Obama asks Congress for extra $83.4 billion for military

It is time for our troops to start coming home."
http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2007/03/obama_senate_floor_speech_on_s.html

Democrats....weak AND stupid.
VERO POSSUMUS!
I expect Olbermann to call on Obama to, "RESIGN!"
IF YOU BELIEVE THAT MSNBC SHOULD
