I really could not believe he did it....Again! I missed the first time he boasted about the $25,000 gift, but saw a comment about it from a NEWSHOUND poster, Pegleg Peggy, over at J$'s place....I responded by commenting about Olbermann's lack of class.

I recall that a certain troll here at OW, Patsy, used to call me PhariCEE...a reference to my religious beliefs and his impression that I was a hypocrite....Well now...is seems ironic that Patsy's dear fellow traveler is acting just like those very hypocrites in Christ's day, who he contrasts to the poor widow in Mark 11:

Where are the great messages of compassion and being humble in announcing, TWICE, one gave a large donation to a charity?

I wonder how much money O'Reilly's fundraiser actually raised for the It Happened to Alexa Foundation, both directly and indirectly. It is certainly an amount that’s well into the hundreds of thousands, an amount that dwarfs Olbermann’s $25,000. I know I made a small donation myself, even though I had never heard of them before. I’m sure many others did the same thing.

There is a certain irony here, which as far as I know, no one has mentioned. Whatever amount O’Reilly helped raise, you would have to include KO's $25,000 in that figure. How great is that? The Foundation should thank O’Reilly for getting KO to give them his money.

Olbys new thing is reminding everyone how much $ he makes. He did it on Bill Maher about 20x in 5 minutes. This is no different than in the fall when Olby let everyone know that he was running even in the ratings with BillO. Everything is ALWAYS about Olby promoting Olby first above all else. The man is a many steps beyond just being a self-centered ego maniac. I think this is starting to show more and more, even the diehards will admit it. I still believe the more liberals msnbc puts on , the more insignificant Olby will become. He's not unique, he's not original and he's not likeable. He's just another flash in the pan who took advantage of the opportunity and circumstance. (personally, I think we'll see sort of the same thing with Beck, except he's not a mean spirited as Olby).

Uh Oh! Has Olby thrown the knife into the back of his trusted servant?

Olbermann's donation of 25K was nothing more than a strategic chess move against his olbsession, O'Reilly, in order to get the upper hand in the fight. O'Reilly kept pounding the point on his show that Keith (though not by name) had hurt the Alexa foundation. So KO's move was the next logical play-- neutralize such criticism while at the same time come out squeaky clean AND shut O'Reilly up from further attacks on the matter.

Again, like I've said before, his interest in the It Happened to Alexa Foundation was never based on concern for abused women. It was based on hatred for Bill O'Reilly. In my estimation, KO didn't like that O'Reilly was going to do something noble that would put him in high esteem in the eyes of other people, when KO's sole mission in life is to cut him down.

I would have been okay with the situation if he had just donated the money and let it go. Sure, he lacks humility and makes bare his insecurities by being compelled to tell the world how much he may have donated, but at least he had the opportunity to show a bit of compassion for a foundation that he personally damaged.

Now...it's evident he's just blinded by his own ego and elitism. Incapable of letting actions be, he puts others down to gain sympathy and standing.

The average person sees right through him. Just look at his ratings for goodness' sake.....

That got me thinking.

We all know his love for his mother by driving him to Yankee games his whole life, but apparently, he now places his mother above Jesus Christ!

Now...I'm not saying that Olbermann ought to be a Christian, or even a religious person at that. But Good Friday is typically set aside for one individual, and one individual only - Jesus. It's perhaps the third most important day in the calendar year behind Christmas and Easter. (Others might place it above Christmas.)

He may not reserve the reverence, which is fine with me, but apparently it does not even enter his frame of reference that there are others around him, who may believe. "Friends" (I use the term extremely loosely) and family may be forced to choose between Keith and his mom or service and worship of their Lord.

As a Catholic, I could not imagine imposing my will on others during Good Friday or any other religious holiday. Apparently, Keith has no such qualms.

I have to tell you, when Laura Ingraham (or any guest) is in the studio with Bill, she's great. I loved her segment tonight. In the Talking Points Memo, Bill talked about Colin Powell's ideological left turn. I had no idea he hadn't been on FNC in four years. Lafinman, MSNBC could have totally nude strippers on the set of their shows and it still wouldn't make a difference.

I know he will only be on the air for a few months because his ratings will remain low, but I thought this quote from Ed Schultz (thanks to NEWSBUSTERS) was a laugh riot......

"Where I work, they don't put stuff on the air unless it's correct and they differentiate between opinion and fact. And in my world I think that's kind of important. On The Ed Show I'm not going to tell you something that I know isn't the truth."
