This is your Tuesday night open thread, but again it's not a recappers thread--unless you want it to be. Yes, the infamous, deplorable one is out once more--the official story is that he's home in bed with flu (probably more believable than home in bed with Katy). If you want to suffer through Slippery Shuster you can do your recapping right here. Otherwise, you can watch Mr Bill and treat this as an open thread. Be an Olbermann Watch blogger--without all the muss and fuss. Comments are open!
I lost track, but how many weeks does this make it since he last did a full week? I want to say 4, but I got a feeling it's been more. Anyways he's hitting the bathtub a lot and coincidently it's been when Obama is making mistakes left and right and KO himself is running out of Bush material.
something ain't right, there has to be something more than a stomach flu. I think it's entirely possible that olby is having "issues" lately. His mothers passing likely plays a role in this, and perhaps was the tipping point. If my PURE SPECULATION is indeed true, I hope he gets the help he needs.
I thought today would be a banner night considering President Obama changed his stance on prosecuting the Bush Administration for the torture crap.
I imagine this was the stuff John Gibson was talking about.

Turley was sporting 2 black eyes, WTF.
Poor Keith is missing his opportunity to go on a misogynistic rant against the new Mrs. USA Carrie Prejean. It is Keith duty as a part of the far left hate machine to purge any thought criminal who stands up to the gay mafia. It also gives Keith an opportunity to get back at the women who wouldn't give him the time of day in high school.
In reality, it's neither flu nor allergy season. Perhaps Keith is up to his ears in Mr. Bubble, squeezing a rubber ducky and mumbling something like:
"key demo...O'Reilly..torture...Jeanene.,.Murdoch....Dick ..
..mommy..Dumbledorf...they mock me....they mock ..."( repeat for hours ).
Sadly, expect him to be back tomorrow night at the earliest, Thrus night at the latest. His show is getting creamed in the ratings, which I believe is taken into account with the weekly \ quarterly numbers.
As much as I'd love to believe, among others, that he's about to crack, as a few of us have been saying, he's here to stay, and certainly won't crack again. Right now, he is as important as he's ever been, and to a narcissist like him that's all he needs. The Garaaflwoaro thing? It won't hurt him. He'll have her on again. Think his bosses will tell him not too? He can leave MSDNC and take over Coop's time slot like that if they push him. Maybe I don't believe he runs MSDNC like others do, but her certainly does WHATEVER he wants on his show.
And please, everyone, understand he and or his staff read this site... Think about it, if he really is sick and has some bath time, that he isn't surfing this site to read up on his enemies and what their saying?
All's I can pray for is Keith, if you or your staff are reading this, why haven't you brought up your ratings lately? You do it rarely, and its definitely been a while, so why no mention?
Annnnway, keep the boycott going \ forming and again, if anyone here has a bunch of money, HIRE a private investigator to look into this guys background. I still don't get why Beck \ Bill O \ Levin \ Gibson \ Hannity \ Rush \ Coulter \ Murdoch \ Anyone else he pisses on, hasn't done it yet.
Olbermahn knows the end is near
He won't be on Kountdown next year
Keith's losing viewers

O'Reilly sends Keith a Bronx cheer
Breaking...Olbermann suffers breakdown upon learning he was snubbed again by the Pulitzer Prize Board. Olbermann is said to be in shock that his notable " Spesul Komment"s were overlooked yet again. Adding insult to injury is the fact that one of Olbermann's head toadies , Gene Robinson, was awarded the Pulitzer this week. Developing......

Dan that is really cold to treat the loving and sweet KO that way. :)

That's creepy Count, he almost looks like Shuster in that pic. lol
"'High value information came from interrogations in which those methods were used and provided a deeper understanding of the al Qa'ida organization that was attacking this country,' the Director of National Intelligence, retired Admiral Dennis Blair, told colleagues in the two-page memo April 16.
"That sentence was not included in a shorter one-page statement Blair's office gave to the media last Thursday, the same day Obama released previously top secret Bush administration memos laying out Republican lawyers' rationale for why they believed the interrogations were legal. Obama officially banned the techniques during his first week in office, with his aides charging it amounted to illegal torture."

Oh well....the church of SNOBamessiah is in high spin mode theorizing that the American people could have been kept safe these last eight years without the techniques described in the memos released last week.....
Theory versus reality.....and the test?....Whether terrorists are successful in their plans. That usual mean the death of innocent people doing their daily duties, like working, taking care of their children, etc....
Ok....let's embark on that study and see if the professionals at the CIA can be as effective in the future.
Keith Olbermann will no doubt have his one sided analysis "proving" the techniques used these past 8 years were unnecessary.
VERO POSSUMUS!
Based on the morning teases I think Olby will be off again tonight.
Olbermann off again!?!
This is a REAL Yankees fan!.....Today's game is at 1:00 and one can't be doing show prep for the most important cable news program in the universe at in Midtown Manhattan AND be in The Bronx for this first home stand in the new stadium....Come now!
NBC NEWS is really getting their money's worth from Olbermann!
"Morning teases" translates into "you've been warned"....hehe
One more point in regards to the very likely, and very late, Olbermann propaganda destined to carry the water for this very dishonest White House.....
"[The White House] press release omitted a line claiming that Congressional leaders and executive branch officials were 'repeatedly' briefed on the interrogation program and allowed it to continue."

So, the propaganda machine of Obama is in high gear and now caught with their lies....Oh my. Why is it that Obama does not want lines in a press release about Congress knowing the legal opinions of the Bush administration or that such techniques covered by those legal briefs served to protect our nation from terrorist success?
Why?
one word....politics.
I am amazed about how right I was all along about Barack Obama! National security a priority?....Nah. Honoring the professionalism and service of thousands of hard working people in the military, CIA, FBI and former White House....Nah. It is the radical left's agenda of making the United States into some kind of monster that needs taming and changing...the IDEOLOGY that portrays logical, legal, moral and necessary actions after a terrorist attack on 9/11/01 as evil.....well......
VERO POSSUMUS!
Well as if his dopey blogs were not bad enough.

Well they were right about the nerd thing.
The bright spot is maybe he will now go the way of Frank Deford.
Some excerpts from the Olby MLB Blog:
"The Marlins Jorge Cantu was running home like there was guacamole on the plate."
"Torii Hunter chased the ball scalded into the gap like he was running to Roscoe's Chicken'n Waffles."
"Dave Bush was pitching so poorly for the Brewers that the catcher started throwing shoes back at him."
"I don't know why there are woman broadcasters in the MLB today. Costas should take one into a backroom and only he come out."
OUTRADGE OLBERMANN is going to be doing a blog over at MLB.COM.! People are going nuts 80% - reaction! WTF!
nomo,
Yeah I read some of the comments. Most baseball fans love America which is the opposite of Olby.
Wait until he replaces Madden.
Tell me your joking, Dung. I don't watch FNiA as it is, but if he's promoted to Sunday Night Football? I will refuse the watch, I'll listen to CBS radio's feed before that.
I have a great idea.
Everyone that goes to baseball games need to bring in signs that say
Fire KO.
Plain and simple.
I can even have the Big foam hands made (That have the index finger pointing up) with fire KO on them.
If I have enough request or some one with deep pockets I can have them made in a few weeks and then we could hand them out before the games.
WOW
Cris Collinsworth has already been named as Madden's successor so we need not worry about Olby ruining Sunday Night Football, at least not in the announcing booth although that's not to say he may pop in in some other capacity, perhaps holding leftist obama rallies at halftime.
Can I make a simple observation that totally refutes Obama's and the radical left's claim that prosecutiing ANYONE for authorizing or performing the techniques described in the memos is serving justice or "fair?"
"Details of these successes, and the methods used to obtain them, were disclosed repeatedly in more than 30 congressional briefings and hearings beginning in 2002, and open to all members of the Intelligence Committees of both Houses of Congress beginning in September 2006. Any protestation of ignorance of those details, particularly by members of those committees, is pretense."

The CONGRESS, as late as 2006, had the information of these techniques and no one knowledgable of the facts demaded arrests or prosecution.
THREE YEARS LATER, a political witch-hunt is now underway that will hurt our nation's ability to defend the innocent and free....all because democrats see a political prize.
General Hayden is RIGHT, Olbermann is WRONG. There was broad support for the use of the techniques outlined in the memos as evidence by THE SILENCE of the far left in Congress knowledgable at the time. They are changing the rule after and that is wrong.
Muted mongrel tonight on COUNTDOWN:
"'In a letter to his intelligence community colleagues last Thursday, Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair described those briefings. 'From 2002 through 2006 when the use of these techniques ended, the leadership of the CIA repeatedly reported their activities both to Executive Branch policymakers and to members of Congress, and received permission to continue to use the techniques.'
"That passage from Blair’s letter – along with another confirming that the interrogations produced 'high-value information' that provided a 'deeper understanding of the al Qaeda organization attacking this country' – was dropped when language from the letter was released publicly. A spokesman for Blair attributed to the omission to normal editing procedures.
"In an interview this morning, senior Bush administration official accused the DNI of 'politicizing intelligence' by attempting to hide his judgment that the program had produced valuable results. This official also accused the Obama administration of double standards, citing its professed belief in transparency and its unwillingness – at least so far – to declassify memos that demonstrate the value of the interrogation techniques Obama has banned.
"Other Republicans have pointed out that with the exception of Blair, the Obama administration has defending the policies using political figures – like Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod – rather than top national security advisers.
"'You can imagine what it would have looked like, if on a sensitive intelligence matter involving the CIA and this controversy, if we sent Karl Rove out to do this briefing. And that’s in effect what’s happened here,' says a high-ranking official from the Bush White House. 'And I assume that’s because they saw it primarily as a political issue – because it’s being debated inside as a political issue –because it’s about appeasing the left, whose support they sought during the campaign. And Axelrod is more of an expert on that crowd that anybody else. It also says to me he was in all the meetings where they were debating this question – whether or not Obama had better go forward with some kind of investigation.'"

The rabid anti-America left better prepare to have their own political class testify to what they knew and when did they know it.....including The One!
"Torture," enthusiastically supported by the left until it thought it could be a used as a political weapon. How nice!
VERO POSSUMUS!
I caught Mr. Olbermann in a lie last night. He claimed Colin Powell was more popular in the Republican Party than Dick Cheney or Rush Limbaugh....wrong....
The latest poll from CNN shows the following:
"....66 percent of Republicans have a favorable view of Cheney, 64 percent give Powell a thumbs up, and 62 view Limbaugh in a favorable way."
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/05/25/cnn-poll-powell-vs-cheney-and-limbaugh/
###
Is there any source that shows Powell in more popular among registered republicans currently?
Like the torture debate, facts seem not to matter to the left.
Also, it was funny to watch Olbermann and Alter talk in glowing terms about General Petraeus who was once villified as GENERAL BETRAY-US by the very same wonks and their sheep.
I wonder if MikeH, who on this very blog said the surge did not matter in Iraq, whinced when Alter admitted to being wrong about same surge?
Is MikeH ready to recant?....Obama has yet to as well.
Oh, and recall that Olbermann characterized General Petraeus as being George Bush's puppet back in the surge debate....
Wrong again!
I love being right.
VERO POSSUMUS! WTF?
