Before you make this tonight's open thread to recap and ridicule The Hour of Spin, enjoy listening to Gibson destroy Bathtub Boy. Before he gets to the latest Special Education Komment, Gibby makes reference to this report from the Obama administration about how 1 in 7 released Gitmo prisoners join up with jihad again. Another Olbermann embarrassment. Comments are open!
Keith's the cowardly Bathtub Boy
It's the viewers he's out to annoy
His Nielsens are dropping
(More) meds he'll be popping
When FoxNews goes on seek and destroy
Beautiful J$, if that really is your name ;)
Thanks
My OlbyRobot's reading of the SEK took some of the intensity out of the real thing (heard in the above Gibson clip). Again, thank God for John Gibson.
I haven't posted any clips from any of the O'Reilly-hosted "O'Reilly Factors" yet this week. So, from Monday:
Talking Points Memo: It is war between The Factor and The New York Times.
Impact segment with Heather Heidelbaugh and Anita Moncrief.
Reality Check.
Exclusive FOXNews.com video: Frank Caliendo on "The Factor" in 2004.
From Tuesday:
Factor Investigation segment with Glenn Beck.
Miller Time: Dennis goes to town on Speaker Pelosi and VP Biden, talks about performing for the troops at Gitmo.
Pinheads & Patriots: Greta Van Susteren was a Patriot for saving Ana Marie Cox's life (I'm sure Cox still hates Fox, though), Jesse Ventura was a Pinhead for denouncing waterboarding by using McVeigh as an example.
And from Wednesday, the Talking Points Memo: The Factor investigates ACORN; Reality Check: Bill and Donald Trump at Yankee Stadium.
Was Keith off tonight?
You mean OFF as in not in studio , or do you mean mentally ?
To me Keith is ALWAYS off !
I meant not hosting and somebody filled in, lugnuts.
Via the Olbermann Flood, he *was* on tonight. There *was* a show. He was up against a "Factor" rerun (originally aired May 6). When the ratings come out on Tuesday, I fear there's a chance he will win...in the 25-54 demo. The OlbyFlood links to a recap of tonight's show on Oralmann's blog of record, Daily Kos. Read if you dare; I sure don't.
I think it was a rerun. Unless he did a encore/redo version of WTF with Rush which is what I thought it was. Because I thought at first it was a new show, but it's hard to tell since he doesn't cover any of the day's topics and is stuck on that Pre-Obama era.
He's DONE!!! After his Ex mercilessly kicked his ass last night, KO has obviously gone into an even more extreme panic mode that usual.
UN-effing-WATCHABLE! HE'S DONE!!!
The Rush WTF thing, WPITW, even ODDBALL was dripping with frightened and very defensive drivel that, at times was not even discernable. HE'S DONE!!!
You're right re: "mentally off," lugnuts6. But tonight was something more extreme. I can't put my finger on it but, it was almost like a serial killer look and demeanor coupled with a deranged, yet childlike delivery. HE'S DONE!!!
I keep saying it's turning into the Jerry Springer Show. He can't debate, brings in "yes" men to agree with everything he says and cannot connect with viewers on any level. He is forced to "shock" his dwindling audience. He knows he can't get ratings on his own merit so he is trying to come up with "gimmicks", i.e., Special Komment, WTF and now the Rush Limbaugh logo.
Pathetic
I'll admit it. Yes, it is torture. I'm convinced. Within six seconds of tuning in to MSNBC, the extreme ideological clap-trap is absolute torture!
I also agree that watching, listening to, listening with the aid of a speech synthesizer, listening to a recording of the speech synthesizer (the OlbyRobot readings), or reading a transcript are all torture [Ding!].
Olbermann has two modus operandi:
1) Righteous Indignation
2) High School Snark
When he talks about "we" he means the 25 - 30% radicals that the 70% normal Americans can't stand talking to or being around.
Right off the bat tonight he declares that the debate is over on water boarding being "torture" because some DJ said so! Funny how people are willing to be water boarded versus being beheaded, finger nail pulling, arms being pulled out of their socket, 1/4 inch drill into the thigh or tooth and their genitals hooked up to a battery.
God bless our soldiers and veterans this weekend. My Dad was a ball-turrent gunner in a B-24 and died in '97. He didn't do it so some future president would "remake" America.
According to Olderman, "The torture debate ENDED today. It was at 8:40 am Central Daylight Time...shock jock Eric "Mad-cow" Muller, fully of the right...insisted water boarding was not torture". "The DJ lasted 6 seconds." Olby quoting Muller stated, "Absolutely torture", he says. "That's drowning", he says.
Unbelievable. I like how Olby had the banner at the bottom that said, "BREAKING NEWS".
Plus, Larry O'Donnell from the Huffington Post (sigh - shaking head) says, "the fact that it comes from the conservative side of the radio world I think gives it more credibility even".
Ok, folks the debate is over. A DJ says it's torture so it's a FACT. It's not an OPINION, it's FACT.
The debate's over? I am glad I came by to find that out.
Let me remind Olbermann and the rest of the anti-America narcissistic radical left two things that will keep this debate ALIVE FOREVER!.....
1) Our society endorces, and the left usually operates, on a system of nuance, a non "black & white" world....a world of gray....I am criticized often for not being a participant in this type of thinking. The ethics of abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, etc. are all large subjects that the left usually demands a smorgasbord approach to regarding "personal truth." The stark personal political motivations to be sanctimonious regarding the procedures "torture" used to protect our nation's populace from terrorist crimes is the reason why the tenor, approach and conclusions on this from the left stand in contrast to their ways of dealing with other subjects like abortion, etc.
This frank hypocrisy is for one reason only....political calculation...This accusation includes the President. This is why prosecution and further discussion is MUTED because the powers who claim torture know deep in their hearts where their motivation is on this subject. Pelosi, Obama, etc. know that on this subject, they are speaking 1% of how they feel and just want the issue to go away.
Dick Cheney has seen this truth and is playing the "pebble-in-the-shoe" role here to push the opposing opinion to put their money where their mouth is....Just like opposition to the Iraq War was based on superficial, cynical and fleeting personal needs, this "torture debate" comes from the same sick psychological process in the minds of many.
Like I said about the war.....CUT THE FUNDS!....If this was torture then the only ethical outcome is.....PROSECUTE THE GUILTY!
As this never happens from the left's ruling class, just like their actions on the Iraq War, that proves they are only going through this exercise for personal political capital.
2) There will always be human beings displaying the most extreme behaviors of our fallen nature. Rational processes, positive reinforcement, good environments, etc. can only go so far to prevent the murder, rape or other violence mankind is capable of....Society will always be made to react AND PREVENT such injustice that results from man's fallen nature. The "good" will have to do things that must be considered wrong in other contexts to stop the "bad."
When the people (police, CIA agents, soldiers, etc.) society asks and rewards them to do the things necessary to prevent/punish those (terrorists, criminals, etc.) determined to be doing things that are wrong the "rational intellectuals" say there is a CLEAR system to determine the line of legality. Wrong again. I propose that that line is as "manipulatable" as any good clay. From the judge who says one sentence is "inhumane," to another saying punishment was not enough....to one politician saying one thing is torture and another it is not, REALITY shows this leaves those good people trying to protect us in a quandry....A certain amount of error and "allowing bad people to get away" results no matter what because that wiggle room is a reality.
Obama and the left has now given those ready to inflict violence on America more wiggle room. That is a reality. Years in terms of decades will show if that wiggle room is acceptable or not. THAT IS THE IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER HERE BECAUSE OF 9/11....Will the new wiggle room allow another catastrophic event like 9/11 to happen or not?....That is a debatable point.
I personally have no ethical problem, based on my understanding of the scriptures and how God judges all, how the three terrorists were treated in the most extreme cases here. The innocent were protected by those techniques and no one is capable of proving that those positive outcomes could have been obtained by lesser measures. The fact that Obama is holding back so much data now also makes me very suspicious of his position here....he seems to be puroposely keeping information away from all of us that likely makes his position on the subject look less acceptable.
So that is it....fair-minded and nonpolitically motivated people on this subject know this debate will never be over, nor should it be. Just like lawyers debate what rights criminals have under the law so should they continue to debate what captured terrorists have in regards to protections...once we shut-up rational people to disagree I will bet anyone that there will be great suffering. Obama knows this deep in his heart and I will also bet anyone he would be willing to "torture" to fulfill his promise to keep, in his own words, "protecting the American people his number one priority." The problem is he is being so judgemental towards people who did just that and that is the salt in the wound. Sanctimony and pride are very bad attributes here.
Olbermann and O'Donnell are silly and stupid on this subject....All I have to say is rewind to 2001/2002 and see their hypocrisy. ANyone who think they are authorities here are being fools.
VERO POSSUMUS! WTF?
In the name of God Keith.....GO TO HELL.
Usually Perception is reality, but in the case of KO and his
motley crue, I have no idea in hell what reality they are living in. It just amazes me with libs in control of evreything these people still still can let go of the BUSH years. And there is no mistake they are NOT on some noble crusade ( ha I love that word cause libs just hate it) to make our nation better, they are doing it for two reasons
#1 they think it will get their ratings up..umm ok that is working really good!
#2 its all politca, they can careless about the issue of waterboarding, they just want to use it to gain more power, end OF STORY!
I mean how many American sit around ( ok outside of he upper east side in NYC, or Frisco, or West Hollywood, and discuss 'water boarding' im mean serious people!l
Has MSNBC ever head of the lib website MOVEon.ORg..Well well these jokers are living in the past the rest of us are moving on.
Hey KO I might have more respect for you if everytime you mention water boarding you would say this "it was done on KLSM, the mastermind of 9/11 which killed 3,0000 Americans and other terrosists attacks like that on the USS Khol, and the beaheading of Danny Pearl, yes that KLSM" and to me water boarding is evil" You are a gutless, spinless, Moma's boy, you sit behind you $100' Ikea "gee it looks professional, something Brian Williams might site behind" desk blabbering for an hour about the PAST MOVE ON KO! the train is leaving the station. and get something done with that hair you look like a skunk!
There is no "debate", waterboarding ISN'T torture, no matter how many non military widbags claim it to be.
The only debate that IS over is the relevance of MSDNC. Judging by their low, low ratings, sane Americans reject MSLSD's hate filled libs.
Keith's not-alma mater (Cornell) is playing Virginia in the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Semifinals at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. The winner plays Syracuse in the Final on Monday. I say "not-alma mater" because, as we all know, he went to the Cornell U. College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. I know, that isn't what his "receipt" says. Virginia's a 1 seed. So, watch out.
Quoting Oliver Cromwell? What a douche bag. When did they teach him that at the AG school, in between sloppin hogs and growin corn?
To follow up on my comment from 24 hours ago, Cornell won 15-6.
In the Final today, Cornell led Syracuse 9-6 with a few minutes left in regulation, but the Orangemen chipped away before forcing a turnover on Cornell with 15 seconds left and tying the game with 4 left. 15 seconds into Overtime, Syracuse scored to win 10-9, earning their second consecutive NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship. So, Keith was a turnover away from having something to brag about tomorrow night.
