Ugh... Howard Dean is just awful at hosting, even for a 4th ranked political show. I dont know if he just has bad eyes or he stares so strong at the teleprompter. He ought to take some lessons from Obama on this. That guy's the king of teleprompters. I couldnt even watch him for 20 seconds before being so bored. I made it thru the opening setup of the show and a few seconds after that and that was all i could take.

Ya know, i remember reading something that herr Olbermann said a while back, being "Im not liberal, i'm an American." I wonder why, if this little gem is true, he only has the most ardent of liberals guest host his show. Ive seen O'Reilly have Juan Williams host his show, which he leans more left than Bill does and also more than most of his other guest hosts. That shows that he actually encourages different points of view on his show, even to the extent of a guest host. All we get from Olbermann is Richard Wolffe, Howard Dean, and David Shuster. They are all well-known, confirmed liberals. Perhaps, if his ego could take it, he could put a moderate or non partisan on to guest host. i might even be able to stomach that.

I think even liberals could agree that Howard Dean is just terrible at hosting a show. I think it came a little more natural to Mike Huckabee.

I bet that web page he's on with the laptop is the Daily Kos. Im sure he has it as his home page, shortcuts all over the desktop, set within the startup of his login, etc. Perhaps its Media Matters or Huffington Post. Theyre practically the same regurgitated mess taken from smaller blogs or passed on to them from those smaller blogs. If he actually researched a story and reported on it all by his self, without a liberal blog to feed him info, id be really shocked.

Is anyone really surprised that Olbermann won't let someone who is far better than he sub for him? He made that mistake once with Madow, and she was given her own show. Olby's ego couldn't stand anyone better than he. Besides, who else does MSDNC have to choose from?

Yea, youre right about Maddow. Its pretty sad when the primetime 8:00 show is either equal in the demos or the 9:00 is doing better. For that matter, its sad when 8:00 am shows are going better than primetime 8:00 shows. I think more people watch Fox & Friends than Olbermann. Even though i dont like her show, i can admit it is more watchable than Countdown. They wont ever move him off of that slot though. They need their attack dog for the Obama administration to stay put.

Perhaps they could just put a cardboard cut out of Tim Russert up in Olbermann's chair and have silence. I'd put 20 on it that it would do better than Olbermann or any of his guest hosts.
