It's another week of the infamous, deplorable one. Do you recapping right here. Comments are open!
UPDATE: Olbermann lies in his Special Education Komment!
RING THE ALARM!!!! Special Comment!!!! And WTF is with the new glasses? Is he tryig to be Grandpa Olby with those hideous things?
One more note.... Olby is going to cross the one very soon on this fox news renewed fued. He does not have the self control to remain civil in tha ordeal. BillO and Co. are smacking NBC/GE with facts about the companies. Olby smacks people personally with questionable "facts" at best. You can't win arguments doing that. I said it back in Feb/Mar.- Olby is having a complete mental breakdwn before our eyes.
After perusing the butt-kicking in ratings on Friday, where Keithy went up against his former "girlfriend" Laura, it becomes painfully obvious why Keithy needs to spew a Speshul Komment. He barely pulled over a million morons. I guess they were out acting as Obamabots at the various townhalls across the country.
I did see a teaser after tuning in during a commercial break from my normal programming, and I saw Keithy previewing a heaping helping of Olbypocrisy in regards to who else? Palin!
What a putz.
I caught a few minutes of The Goebelles-Olbermann Hour and heard him pimp an upcoming story that refutes comments made by Fox and Friends which said Pelosi said health care protestors are "un-American." Apparently, The Minister of Propaganda is gonna do a little Nancy Pelosi CYA, but facts are facts (except in OlbyLand) and words have meanings (except in OlbyLand.)
Here is Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyers' EXACT WORDS (taken from today's USA Today's guest editorial. Link included at bottom of this comment):
"These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views — but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply UN-AMERICAN. Drowning out the facts is how we failed at this task for decades."
The "all and mighty" Goebells-Olbermann has such contempt for anyone "beneath" him (including his viewers) that he feels its ok to lie to them in order to protect Herr Obama and Field Marshall Pelosi.

(sarcasm): Yeah, how dare she refer to a "death panel."
One of the artworks I sent to J$ last week for future recappers threads is a screencap from last week's Komment with a diagonal red rectangle and the word "BULLY" in stencil font inside the rectangle. It was inspired by John Gibson playing clips from the last two minutes of the Komment where Keith made threats against conservative Democrats in Congress. I think my "bully" description is rather sufficient. What say you?
OH NO!!! NOT ANOTHER SPECIAL EDUCATION KOMMENT?
I CAN'T STAND IT!
And Keith, I do have a problem with pushing back twice as hard. IT SHOULD BE FIVE TIMES AS HARD!!!!!
Now listening to your special komment.
I hope you go in front of a death panel one day, Keith!
Keithy-poo, she didn't say there WERE death panels, assclown! She said they could be coming! Why can't you tell the truth asshole?
Beck, Dobbs, Palin, Teabaggers, insurance compaines are evil and brings up his WHORE MOTHER!
A six star promo by the evil one!
Yes! Special Komment! You heard it straight from Keithy's mouth, Palin's recent comment are retroactively responsible for town hall incidents that occured days/weeks ago. No doubt the work of a diabolical GOP time machine. And then he goes on to talk about being "irresponsible"...yes, Olbermann, of all people..talking about...being "irresponsible." This while defending idiotic health care reform that no one wants and trying to pretend that this is "what the majority of patriotic Americans want." Obviously, the majority of Americans is now those who work at MSNBC. To summarize for those of you who didn't have the stomach to watch this bastion of journalistic integrity....anyone who disagrees with this health care nonsense is a frightened moron who cannot think for themselves while supporting the community organizer in chief is the greatest form of patriotism one can commit...even though he fails to cite a single concrete example of exactly WHY this health reform is so wonderful, I guess because Obama said so. And then a bunch of flowery words disguising the fact that he is talking out of his ass and not saying anything at all worthwhile. So just the usual BS.
My special comment..Keith shut the hell up!
P.S. Then Madcow comes on saying pretty much the same thing. Do some of you honestly think she's not as bad as Olbermoron? I think she's worse. She gives off the facade of respectability while just spewing the same left wing crap that KO just got done with and in an extremely obnoxious manner to boot.
I really hope John Gibson says something about this on his radio show tomorrow so we can hear it here.
I bet the insurance companies love this. They signed on to this with Obama and the Dems and they are getting reamed on a daily basis.
That's what happens when you lie with democratic dogs, you get FLEAS!
God help you, Miss Palin. (Miss?)
Cluster Fox (subtle)
At least he's doing his vagina monologue from a single camera.
The dramatic camera changes were a bit too much.
For extra credit, somebody let us know if Rachel Maddow attacks O'Reilly on her show tonight. Tonight in Reality Check, Bill played a clip from a guy interviewed on Rachel's Friday show that linked violent acts to, big shock, Glenn Beck and FNC. The guy predicted that it wouldn't be long before those violent people (God forbid) shoot the President or Democrats in Congress.
That's so big of The Minister of Propaganda to be so concerned about honest debate and the truth.
Rob - couldn't agree with you more about Rachel Maddouche. Olbermann is a moron; to some extent, you expect stupidity from him. With her(?) education, you would at least expect an element of reason, but get none. I find her incredibly abrasive and obnoxious.
Sooo... anyone know what's up with the new recspecs olby is sporting? I bet it'll be another 1 night wonder like the dark rimmed 60s glasses, the no jacket night or the worst person in tw world of the week.
Wow...over at MSNBC.com Goebbels Olbermann's Special Ed Komment lasted 14:34. WTF??? I would rather face a firing squad than sit through that propaganda. Why doesn't he just shit can all his "guests" and spew hate for an hour...who knows it might improve his ratings...NAH!!!!
Another one that long?! I guess I shouldn't complain. Glenn Beck's The One Thing goes that long sometimes; today, for example. But Glenn is fair, and as we all know, Keith is unfair.

According to TVNewser, the Special Education Komment also targeted Glenn Beck and Lou Dobbs. Oh, my God, Keith's glasses are huge!
Oh, it also targeted Town Hall protesters. Again, Keith is a bully.
Damn, KO looked freaky in those glasses, did someone say, "Grandpa?" :) And that "Special Comment", just another manifesto to get himself fired from MSNBC, in my opinion. Look KO, no one really cares what you say and your influence doesn't hold up to nothing, so keep on screaming to your cronies over at Huff-Po, MM, and of course KOS kids, they apparently are the only ones who actually TAKE you seriously for the fraud that you are. Yes, I called you a "Fraud" cause YOU SIR are one.
Olby and 'The Rude MSNBC Host' spewing hate on Palin' OMG! Those glasses are soo frikin' huge! Elton John check you're draws! You might be missing a pair.
That's all I can stand watching. Also I hate to say this but, Olby ain't going nowhere!
They can't fire him for two reasons:
1) What pathetic ratings he does have will vanish cause the KOS Kids would go postal.
2) Say they do fire Olby, unlike FNC, MSNBC has NO BENCH!
Who would take over? The Rude MSNBC host? Mike Malloy? Jim Hightower? Sam Sedar? Garafalo?
Wait! maybe that's not such a bad thing?
And another apx.15 min. special ed comment? Just once I would love to see a room full of Olby-Bots staring at the TV for the whole 15 min. spew.
What would they look like?????????

"'Anyone who says the policies of this administration will lead to a draft is absolutely correct,' said House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi,
"With no end to the war in Iraq in sight and military personnel stretched thin, many young Americans have ignored Bush's and Kerry's statements that no military draft is in the works. Some parents are tormented by the prospect that, pressured by the war on terrorism, terrorist acts and the threat of terrorism have occupied the various law enforcement agencies in the U.S. government for many years. The Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996, as amended by the usa patriot act, Bush might attempt to renew conscription."

Ah yes, those days of yester-year, when democrats were the minority in The House of Representatives and Bush was trying to thwart the actions of terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan. A time when freedom was at stake in a land freed from a terrorist despot intent on killing innocents based on their religious or political views.
What did the then leader of the democrats in the congress and her collegues play with, during an election year no less?....THE FEAR OF POSSIBLE CONSCRIPTION!.....This based on nothing more than the speculation of increasing war and terrorism....no policy from Bush, no mention of it from The Pentagon....just a 2004 election year "speculation" to do what?.....Strike fear into those possible affected by such a possibility....Mmmmmm.......
Politics. How did the press respond?.....Not with irritation, anger or cries of "fear mongering." They reported, and allowed the reader to decide on the validity of such speculation. How did the republicans and the Bush administration respond? They countered it was not true, claimed it an election year fear tactic....A POLITICAL PLOY, and moved on with governing. No claims of domestic terrorist intent, stoking of fires of hatred and distrust, no further innuendo. In fact, as the article shows, the republicans did something rather cynical and POLITICAL by putting a measure in front of the house to kill off the rumors....The very dems that said they believed in the rumor voted against the measure to draft our fellow countrymen!
Oh, and there was no SPECIAL COMMENT by Sally Jesse Olbermann claiming Nancy Pelosi was being dangerously irresponsible!
So now a switch....The leadership is TOTALLY controlled by leftists....The Democrats are in charge and are the government authority.....They lead....People opposed to their policies accuse, protest, POLITICALLY maneuver against their proposed policy. CLAIMS ARE MADE....speculation about the future under Obama policy is made with no more facts or figures behind them as was made back in that example of 2004, an age old tactic.....and what do we see.....H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-S-Y!
The press claims this is a "new" way. The democrats cry "victim." Shills like Keith Olbermann claim such speculation is "dangerous." Well, my simple question....Why was Nancy Pelosi's speculation over the policies of another administration not considered dangerous?......
Sally Jesse Raphael Olbermann is so quick to worry about Palin's speculation over increasing government control and specific policy covering end-of-life counciling, and the motivations behind it, yet other such political tactics employed by his allies on the left, now and in times past (even during our country's wars), pass his scrutiny without a even a comment.
Once again, Cankles Keith O is being intellectually dishonest and using demogoguery to try to increase his ratings among a sliver of the polticial fringe.
Obama and the democrats are just as talented in speculation and worry about government policy but it seems we should simply trust them once they attain the reigns of power....Sorry, politics is a two way street and one other cliche for good measure.....
What's good for the goos is good for the gander.
The democrats demogogued many issues in the past and seemed happy with the politicial results. Republicans should not be timid in doing exactly the same with this administration and their radical agenda. Olbermann, who claims to be a journalist, should be acting as he did when the democrats used similar tactics in protest to the war.....but alas, that possibility is impossible because Olbermann is not a journalist.
Obama and the rest of the radical left are prepared to do ANYTHING to get this bad national policy passed....Desperation is sinking in and lashing out against the opposition as un-American is yet another hypocritical aspect of this entire episode....What a untied American Obama has brought us!
VERO POSSUMUS! WTF?
Did anyone else catch the Olbyirony durng his Palin screed part of his Speshul Education Komment, the only part I was able to devote any time to? I don't remember his exact words, so I will paraphrase. He lectured that Palin has forfeited her right to be taken serious (I am assuming because she resigned as Governor of Alaska), yet he goes on to spew distortions against her for the better part of 3 minutes or so. Huh?!
Hey Keithy (and we all know you read this blog), if you seriously believe someone has forfeited their right to be taken serious, there should be no reason for you to spend any time covering that person, never mind the fact that when Palin did apparently have the right to be taken serious, you just mocked her anyway! Most, if not all, sane people understand this simple concept. I believe Keithy does too. It's just that he knows at worst, the number of his loyal morons is dwindling, and at best, they are not growing. He has to give what remain their serving of (blue) meat. Plus, being the mysoginist that he is, Keithy relishes going after Palin.
On the other hand, the fact that those million or so morons can't see, or worse, understand Keithy's Olbyirony, is simply astounding. What was it Bill Maher commented about the intellectual capacity of Americans again? In the case of Keithy's loyal million or so morons, methinks Maher is correct.

And, I add, what's stopping them? The Democrats HAVE the numbers. No matter how much the GOP members of Congress "astroturf", complain, grandstrand, or scream, there is absolutely NOTHING they can do to stop whatever policies a united Democratic coalition puts forth (see Cap and Trade, Porkulus, etc.). If I were a GOP member, I would call their bluff. If the Democratic leadership really thinks their polices are the right policies for this country, stand up to those in their own party who disagree, and get (bully) them to vote by party line, consequences be damned! Once instituted, those policies will be difficult to overturn (see Social Security, Medicaid/Medicare, etc.). The Progressives have their moment in history, due to their overwhelming control of the government. Certainly, they won't let the Constitution stop them, since they haven't in the past (e.g., FDR's time, Lyndon Johnson's time, etc.).
The Democratic leadership cannot possibly be interested in what "we the people" think or say. Afterall, didn't the 2006 Democratic takeover of Congress promise "we the people" they would clean up the cesspool of corruption in Washington D.C.? How's that working out Murtha, Rangel, Dodd, et al? Didn't the Democratic Blue Dog coalition promise to institute Pay-Go? With record levels of deficit spending never before seen, how's that working out? Didn't the Democrats promise to get the US out of Iraq quickly? Seeing as US troops are still in Iraq, and reading where some Iraqi leaders state they may want US troops there for a long time, how's that working out?
Frankly, I don't see anything stopping the Democrats from passing their Health Care "Reform" bill, as proposed by the House. Hey Keithy, can you explain it? Maybe it's time for another one of your (bully) Speshul Education Komments directed at the real villians: your fellow Democrats.
"When we cover the town hall meetings we don't describe the protesters as loons. We don't denegrate people who disagree with President Obama. That's the difference between FOX News and all the others... The Factor also gives voice to both sides, something you will never see on NBC News."
Bill O'Reilly last night.
###
So true. The demogoguery seen last night on COUNTDOWN was typical of the radical leftist shill who runs that cabler and the ratings race shows the implications of such radicalism.
It's a continuing shame for a once great institution, NBC NEWS.
Friday's poor numbers show again the results with COUNTDOWN barely breaking half of FACTOR's demo (with a sub, no less) and less than half in total viewers. Poor Maddow trails third to the geriatric special on CNN.
FNC allows both viewpoints equaltime and allows the viewer to decide who has the better argument. Calling the opposition, "un-American," or "crazy," is a choice, a tactic that poses great risks.....
Obama and the rest of the unhinged (there you go, I'll take a chance!) anti-America (once again, wow I'm really on a tear) left has decided to turn up the heat....burn baby burn!
VERO POSSUMUS! WTF?
Bill said that last night in his Talking Points Memo.
Keith and his new pair of glasses
As grandpa he certainly passes
With his apricot skin
And double chin
He's like geriatric off-gasses
Muted mongrel prediction for tonight's COUNTDOWN:
53% oppose Obama's healthcare plan, up 9 points from June
42% now favor the plan.
44% of voters strongly oppose
26% of voters strongly favor it
69% of Democrats favor the plan
79% of Republicans oppose the plan
44% of Democratic voters strongly favor the reform effort
70% of GOP voters are strongly opposed to it
"Most notable, however, is the opposition among voters not affiliated with either party. Sixty-two percent (62%) of unaffiliated voters oppose the health care plan, and 51% are strongly opposed.
"As for the protesters at congressional town hall meetings, 49% believe they are genuinely expressing the views of their neighbors, while 37% think they’ve been put up to it by special interest groups and lobbyists.
"The latest polls shows that 26% of voters believe that passage of the Congressional health care plan will lead to a better quality of health care. But most voters (51%) disagree and say the quality will get worse. Seventeen percent (17%) expect it to stay the same."

Olbermann, Obama and the rest of the radical left have become tone deaf to the concerns of the majority of the American people. They continue their radical agenda at their peril.
VERO POSSUMUS! WTF?
Olby lost me in his opening line when he said the "quitter" gov. of alaska. That childish little snarkiness is why Olby is just a joke. It's only one little word but it is the perfect of example of Olbys immaturity. Even Dan Rather would not open a segment by making such a childish remark (although he would use forged documents).
Hypocrisy and the difference between President Bush, the Obama Administration, Nancy Pelosi, Cankles Olbermann and the Far Left when it comes to protesting.
First, President Bush:
At a joint news conference with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono [in 2006], Bush shrugged off the demonstrations, saying it was a sign of a healthy democracy.
"I applaud a society where people are free to express their opinion," Bush said of the protests that accompanied his visit to the world’s most populous Muslim nation.
"It’s to Indonesia’s credit that it’s a society where people are able to protest and say what they think," Bush said.
Fast forward to 2009 and the Health Care Reform Debate:
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs: "The Astro Turf nature of so-called grassroots lobbying ...this is manufactured anger."
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: "I think they’re AstroTurf. You be the judge. They’re carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on health care".
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: calling the disruption of "town-hall'' meetings by vocal protesters "simply un-American.''
And how about Garofalo's comments on the Tea Party protesters: "This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism, straight up. That is nothing but a bunch of tea-bagging rednecks. And there is no way around that."
And then Olby's Special Ed Kookment last night: "prostitutes for the health care industry", "instigators", and "haters".
The Left talks a good game about dissent, formerly known as the "highest form of patriotism." They're all about groups of regular Americans getting together to Speak Truth to Power.
As long as the power is made up of Republicans. As long as the regular Americans are wearing hemp sandals, or the color pink, or maybe waving rainbow flags. As long as their protests signs put pictures of George Bush or Rush Limbaugh or Dick Cheney next to the swastikas.
And hey, if those protests were organized and recruited and bussed in by MoveOn.org, or Code Pink, or the AFL-CIO or SEIU, well, no biggie. It’s still an awesome grassroots example of the people’s discontent.
Or, at least, it was. Pre-2009.
Olbermann endorses Glenn Becks 9-12 project with picture included:
http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/29234/
Thanks, CD. I recommend the audio be used for tonight's recappers thread. Also, did John Gibson talk about the SEK today?
I skimmed through the SEK transcript. Right after Keith praised the 9-12 Project, he blamed 9-12ers for violence. And right before that, he continued to peddle the OlbyLie that Glenn thinks there are FEMA camps and that lady went to that base because she got the idea from Glenn Beck. Bill's response to a viewer e-mail last night fits this situation:
Steve Chambers, Tulsa, OK: "Mr. O, great article! Your critics will be surprised about the positive lessons for kids."
Bill's response: "You know, my most vehement critics don't care about kids, Steve. They simply hate me. So, they'll vent that hate no matter what I do."
Keith will vent hate toward people *he* hates no matter what they do, no matter what they say, no matter what facts are presented to show him a liar and a fabricator. And unfortunately, he has the freedom in this country to do it, to say what he does night after night, Kos entry after Kos entry, MLBlog post after MLBlog post. He will never be fired no matter how hateful and personal he gets in his attacks. It's sad.
Monday's numbers: Lonesome Olbermann got creamed! Here, look:
At 8:00 in 25-54:
BOR: 1,072,000!
KO: 406,000
At 8:00 in total:
BOR: 3,814,000
KO: 1,243,000
At 10:00 in 25-54:
GVS (Greta): 645,000
KO: 223,000
At 10:00 in total:
GVS: 2,388,000
KO: 733,000
Way to go on that Special Komment, Keith of the giant spectacles.
I just love Sally Jesse Raphael's monday ratings! I seems the demo is really bad....not too many Palin, Beck and Dobbs haters out there tuning in.
I guess he will have to bite the bullet and be all anti-Billo, all the time to see if that's the winner?
I suppose if Bush/Cheney execute a coup against Obama then Olbermann would be really happy....he would have his real ratings generator back!
VERO POSSUMUS! WTF?
Via the Olbermann Flood, NewsBuster Rich Noyes has provided Another Great Moment in Olbypocrisy: [Olbypocrisy] Flashback: "It Is Political Dissent That Created This Country and Sustained It and Improved It." Others are included in the "Hypocrisy Flashback," but the infamous, deplorable one was cited twice.
Gibby was a repeat yesterday (it airs at midnight in my town). He might be on vacation.
Great article, Mike C. Olby is the king of hypocrisy and if he had any morals or decency he would offer an opposing point of view about the protesters or at least give them some credit for wanting to ask questions and get answers from their politicians. But alas, they are not "patriotic" and it's not "political dissent" because it does not fit his ideology. They are "un-American" or a "mob".
You, sir, are a HACK and a FRAUD.
May God forgive you. (That was Olby's catch phrase from last night's Special Ed Comment)
GE ATTACK!!!!!!!
Bill-o with another GE attack! The Truce is truly over!!!
Dissent is now unpatriotic and we have always been at war with East Asia. Time for Olbermann to bone up on his George Orwell again.
The President of The United States is a liar:
Yesterday: "I have not said that I was a single-payer supporter."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd-F8Z6sSpA
###
In front of a group of AFL-CIO members in 2003: "I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care program. I see no reason why the United States of America, the wealthiest country in the history of the world, spending 14 percent of its Gross National Product on health care cannot provide basic health insurance to everybody. And that's what Jim is talking about when he says everybody in, nobody out. A single payer health care plan, a universal health care plan. And that’s what I'd like to see. But as all of you know, we may not get there immediately. Because first we have to take back the White House, we have to take back the Senate, and we have to take back the House."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpAyan1fXCE
###
I heard for 8 years that Bush lied....Time and again the evidence was lacking. Specifically, Bush admitted mistakes were made in prewar intelligence but that there was no cover-up, no conspiracy to deceive the American people.....I still am waiting for the proof such a conspiracy exists.
Today, Obama has been PROVEN he is a liar. Yet, the usual suspects so quick to accuse in the past simply ignore the issue, continuing to attack the political opposition.
Obama....liar in chief.
VERO POSSUMUS! WTF?
You are 100% correct cee, in that Obama is lying when he states he isn't a single-payer supporter. He can somewhat dodge that by saying he won't take away your choice: i.e. you can keep the private insurance you have if you like it (for now). But, I have seen the campaign videos, and heard his pre-campaign speeches/talks where he states he wants to ultimately get to a single payer government run system. An ultimate goal of socialist progressives since FDR. Heck, even his sycophants like Krugman, Frank, Pelosi, et al, admit to it! My question to him (and Keithy): Why can't he be honest about it, and, if he really believes that is the best system for Americans, then convince us of it. Debate it with opponents, HONESTLY! If it really is the be-all and end-all program that he believes it to be, it shouldn't be that hard of a sell.
Of course, he knows most Americans DON'T want that type of system, even though the socialist progressives have been trying since FDR to get it implemented (yes, they did get business to provide it after WWII, and Johnson got Medicare). So he, like socialist progressives before him (FDR, Johnson,et al), try to be coy about it, using fear mongering, distortions, and attacks, to get American attentions focused away from what he really wants.
As I stated in an earlier post, what's stopping him? He, and the progressives have the numbers in Congress, via Democratic seats held. They can ram this down the throats of the American people, like moms used to force bad tasting cold medicine down the throats of sick children (for their own good!). It's awfully hard to reverse those policies once they get enacted. He may or may not be a one term President, but he would be hailed as the true progressive hero (like FDR still is to this day)! Or, is it that the lust for power (i.e. a second term) overrides his socialist progressive principals?
